Eternal Winter
When Pepa Madrigal lost her precious child, the entire Encanto faced years of never-ending winter.
Ch.1 || Birthday Picnic
--------
"Who's ready for an adventure?!" "Camilo, it's just a picnic, calm down." The morning of Pepa's side of the family was incredibly busy, and obviously loud, as they got ready for a picnic to celebrate Antonio's sixth birthday.
"Pa, here's the basket you asked for." "Thank you hija." As Felix prepared the stuff they needed, Pepa got her youngest son ready and calmed Camilo down from his sugar high.
" Alright, everything's set. Pepi, come with the kids already. We don't wanna arrive there at sundown.*
The three children placed their bags t the back of the carriage and got in the front. Pepa followed in after checking everything else, while Felix got on the horse to deliver his family to their destination.

"We're here!" Felix announced. The brothers got excited to explore while Dolores helped her mamá unload their things.
"It's pretty quiet here, right?" Pepa asked her daughter as they set down the picnic mat. Dolores hummed in response as she tried to check in on her brothers who had wandered off to God knows where.
"Felix, will you please go pick up the boys so we could start eating? I'm starving." "You got it amor." Her husband saluted as he jogged off to gather his sons.

"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you , happy birthday Antonio, happy birthday to you" The whole family sang while Pepa held the cake close to Antonio.
After the birthday boy blew the cake, they cheered and began eating, following Camilo's lead of course.
While eating, Felix notices her daughter seems distraught.
" Dolores, are you alright?"
"huh? Of course pa, I'm just trying to listen if there are anything unusual."
"Don't worry about it Dolores, just enjoy yourself today okay?"
"Mhm, thanks pa."
Dolores tried to focus on what's around her at the moment. She shut herself off other sounds other than her family's. She found it quite relieving, although later on, she'll wish she had go against her father's advice instead.
