You know maybe a trans guy talking about how he is mourning the deaths of multiple trans men this year and how he knows multiple trans guys who’ve committed suicide isn’t the post to go on a rant about how you think “trans men have transess on easy mode” fuck off
You can have whatever opinions you want I don’t care anymore. But to lack sympathy for trans men to the point that your reaction to a trans man mourning the death of other trans men is to go on a rant about how privileged trans men are??? Jesus read the fucking room.

Hell Follows With Us by Andrew Joseph White
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Read: April 11th, 2024 - April 15th, 2024
Genre: YA/Horror/Fantasy/Dystopian/Apocalypse/Queer
Synopsis: “Sixteen-year-old trans boy Benji is on the run from the cult that raised him—the fundamentalist sect that unleashed Armageddon and decimated the world’s population. Desperately, he searches for a place where the cult can’t get their hands on him, or more importantly, on the bioweapon they infected him with.
“But when cornered by monsters born from the destruction, Benji is rescued by a group of teens from the local Acheson LGBTQ+ Center, affectionately known as the ALC. The ALC’s leader, Nick, is gorgeous, autistic, and a deadly shot, and he knows Benji’s darkest secret: the cult’s bioweapon is mutating him into a monster deadly enough to wipe humanity from the earth once and for all.
“Still, Nick offers Benji shelter among his ragtag group of queer teens, as long as Benji can control the monster and use its power to defend the ALC. Eager to belong, Benji accepts Nick’s terms…until he discovers the ALC’s mysterious leader has a hidden agenda, and more than a few secrets of his own.”
Thoughts: I sort of fought between a 4 and 5 star rating on this one, landing on 5 with the reminder that this is YA. Any major “downfalls” that I might have is easily brushed away when remembering that, despite the heavy themes and gory descriptions that make it easy to forget at moments, this is meant to be read and digested by teenagers. And it does a fantastic job at that.
The religious themes were incredibly powerful, as someone who was raised Catholic and still considers herself to be “culturally” Catholic. The Bible verses were always used in a manner that was poignant, as were the internal struggle the main character faces with his religion and general understanding of the world. Most of the pivotal scenes had a (for lack of better words) Biblical feel to them, only furthering it. The very name of the bioweapon itself is so blasphemous it’s funny—the Flood, as if the rainbow wasn’t a promise for there to never be such destruction again.
The queer elements were also refreshing! Though not trans myself, the experiences the main character goes through as a trans boy hit me hard. The journey that he goes through and how he ends up embracing it, physically, is an allegory that refuses to be watered down.

Can someone tell me where these feminine trans guys with massive tits who wear push-up bras and skimpy outfits that I keep seeing transphobes complain about are? I’d love to see massive tboy boobs.

Why is it so easy for people to understand that gay men may want to appropriate and play with femininity but so hard for them to understand gay women might want to do the same with masculinity

similar to that post i made about tboys: shoutout to genderfluid androgynes/or anyone who is male and female at various times who can't "shapeshift." there's people out there who only give us respect (or talk about us at all) when there's someone who can pass as Masc Cis Guy or Fem Cis Girl. but not everyone is doing all that. i don't shave my face or my body; when i'm fem, i'm a hairy fem who sounds like a guy. when i'm masc, i'm a short masc with obvious tits and ass. some people present the same all the time regardless of how their gender shifts!
we deserve respect when our gender isn't being treated like a party trick to entertain cis people. we deserve respect when we look visibly trans & genderqueer. i am not spending my spoons on that bullshit

while I've been opening up more, allowing myself to be vulnerable and rejecting shame, I still find it extremely difficult, if not impossible, as a chubby trans man, to imagine someone loving me. The lack of media and artistic representation of trans men being loved is not insignificant to this. I cannot name a single book, movie, tv show, song, or other form of media (except visual art such as paintings) that explicitly depicts a trans man experiencing love. If there is clearly a lack of romantic sentiment towards trans men, why should I think I would be privy to such experiences? Why would I look at myself, someone who I am trying so hard not to hate, and think another person could look at me and see someone worth their heart?
