Canmore for one day

Ah, our last night in Miami.
Sabrina is a penpal kind of gal (hey, I’m a poet and I didn’t even know it!) so before we even left for the trip she was already making friends online and preparing us for the big city. We met this guy *name currently forgotten but will insert when I remember* and he was passionate about his boat. Now, at first I was a little freaked out because, well, HELLO!? Meeting someone off the internet?! And going for a boat ride!??! We were basically asking to be murdered. My goodness. Anyway, it turned out lovely! Unfortunately, his boat was having issues at the time but he took us out on what he called his “dingy (ding-ee)” and it was this tiny little motor boat. We went to this small island and hung out there for some time. He gave us a small container to bring some sand home from here and it was great. Then he brought us to where his boat was docked and we stayed there for a bit, watching the city night light up, soaking in Miami. God, I have to say it was the best way to end a great stay in Miami.
Though when we did get back, the yacht club parking lot was gated off and my rental vehicle that had to be back at the rental shop in an hour was locked in there. So there was a huge panic and *insert his name here* hopped the gate and found someone on the inside to open it up for us, thank god! We made it in time and all turned out well!
Until next time,

I got a nice little sun burn on this day.
I always seem to do this when I’m on vacation... “Consistently use sunscreen” I said, “At least 2 or 3 times a day” I cried, but yet, I never learn my lesson. This day was Key Bicayne Beach day and I was not about to forget it. I did come prepared but with my pasty white skin, there’s really no defense against that sun. It was so dang hot I couldn’t even lay on my back to be honest, it killed my eyes even when they were shut! I don’t know if this happens to anyone else but I have blue eyes and it seems that when the sun shines really bright, I don’t even have to be looking at it and my eyes water and hurt from it. It’s really quite crappy. So my back was in a lot of pain after this day. And to think I had to catch a flight the night after this, yeeeeesh!

SUNDAY! SUNDAY! BE THERE!
We couldn’t go to Florida and NOT go to Disney World, are you kidding?! A three hour drive in a place I have never been to, how could my wanderlust heart ever say no to that? And to be going to one of the most magical place on the planet?! Absolutely, this was happening. I saw these posters on the wall and I really just fell into place in this little world. They really make this place so special because you’re so much a part of everything, you really feel like you’re walking around with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. You just have to go here at least once in your life, it really made me fall in love with Disney all over again.

Wynwood (Wine-wood? Win-wood? No clue.) Walls.
If you go to Miami, you have to check out this neighborhood. There is a section cut off specifically for these walls, but the entire neighborhood buildings are covered in some of the most beautiful street art I have ever seen! Now I am a huge fan I couldn’t stop admiring these walls for the life of me, we even ran a little late after stopping here. I would suggest also researching when a less congested time would be to go as well because it was really quite busy when we went, so try not to aim for mid afternoon.
Apparently I provide travel tips now! Haha, any way the art was lovely and it inspired me to snap a self portrait. I did ask my girl friend to take the photo for me and luckily I was impressed with the results! I’m a generally insecure person so taking photos of myself is difficult for me and so I am quite proud of the outcome and the confidence that I gain when I take these photos and feel more comfortable in my own skin. It really is lovely to feel good about yourself. <3
