Adelaide: Welcome to the City of Progress
This is the first chapter of my Arcane OC fic! We start our journey with Adelaide about 5 years prior to Act 1 of Arcane. I might go back and rename this fic at a later date, but for now I’m just using her name. I actually wrote most of this a couple of months ago so sorry if there are any like inconsistencies or anything like that. I’m working on chapter 2 right now, but it’ll be a couple of chapters until Ada even meets Viktor or Jayce. I can’t wait to get to that part though.
Tumblr media
Adelaide stood silent but eager outside of the sitting room in her family’s small mansion, her ear pressed hard against the door as she listened in.
“I just don’t think it’s worth risking her safety.” Her mothers voice was stern, clearly not willing to budge on the matter.
“Your mother is right. If your sister wishes to attend a college, the one right here in Avaleer has plenty to offer. There’s no need to send her off to the city.” Her fathers words left a pit of worry deep in her stomach.
“I understand your concerns, but graduating from the academy myself, I can assure you that it is the safest place in Piltover. It’s academics are far beyond anything our own university could provide. Surely you can agree that if Adelaide were to pursue higher education that it should be from one of the best schools in Runeterra.” Her brother, Lance, spoke on her behalf.
He himself was a recent graduate from Piltovers business program at their prestigious academy. He had regaled the entire family with many stories when he had first returned home. Stories that Adelaide couldn’t stop thinking about.
His tales held a sense of freedom, something Adelaide felt that she had very little of in her 18 years of life. She had spent most of her life inside of the small mining town of Avaleer, a town owned by her family. Always treated like a precious stone, hidden away inside her families mansion but paraded around at any parties or galas that were held by the top families of Runeterra. Most would consider her very lucky, coming from a family of wealth she never knew of any hardships of life. But it was isolating.
Adelaide had confided in her older brother about her desire to leave home, to study as he did in Piltover, to live a life of more than just a sheltered flower. Thankfully he understood her desire and agreed to help convince her parents to let her go, but it was going to be a tough sell.
Adelaide heard the room fall silent. She could only assume that it meant her parents were thinking. She wished that her heart wasn’t beating so loudly because she was sure her parents could hear it through the door. Finally her father spoke.
“If she were to attend the academy, and I am not saying I agree, then she-“
“What are you doing?” A judgmental voice rang out from behind Adelaide. She jumped backwards from the sudden noise, but when she turned to see her twin sister behind her she let out a huffed sigh.
“Oh Morgan, it’s just you.”
“You didn’t answer my question.” Adelaide ignored her sister and pressed her ear back to the door. “Are you trying to listen in on mom and dad’s conversation with Lance?”
“Yes. Now shhhhh” she angrily whispered to her sister.
“Why?”
Adelaide groaned at her sisters persistence. “Because-“ she gasped at the sound of footsteps on the other side of the door. Adelaide ran down the hall and up the stairs, back towards her room on the second floor of the mansion, leaving her sister to stand bewildered in the hallway.
Her father opened the door, mid-conversation with his son. “You can go and tell her of our decision.” He looked down at Morgan on the other side of the door.
“Ada was spying.” She responded to her fathers look before strolling away.
Her father sighed and looked back at Lance. “Though it seems she may already know.”
Adelaide paced her large bedroom and twirled her brown hair around her fingers as a way to work out her nerves. She eagerly awaited someone to come and talk to her. With luck it would be her brother and not her father to break any news, good or bad.
A light knock came from her door and startled Adelaide from her pacing. She quickly ran to the door, took a moment to put on a facade of confidence and poise, and opened the door. A wave of relief washed over her. Lance stood on the other side. Adelaide stepped back and ushered her brother inside. “Well?” She asked, her eyes pleading with his and she held her breath.
“They have agreed to let you go to the Academy.” A wide grin spread across Adelaide’s face. “But…”
Her grin quickly fell. “But?”
“But you have to study something the academy is known for. A science, business, or something to do with technology.”
She should have known there would be a catch. Her parents never let her just have something, there was always some sort of ultimatum. “Oh.” Was the only word that would come out of her throat.
“It seems that father doesn’t want to pay for the academy unless you “get a worthwhile degree from it”. His words not mine. Sorry Ada, I know you had your heart set on studying fine art.”
Adelaide sighed. She was disappointed she couldn’t study exactly what she wanted, but her parents were still willing to let her go. At least there was a silver lining. “It’s not your fault.”
“So would you still like to go?”
Adelaide nodded her head. “Yes. I think I do. There’s got to be some course of study that I would enjoy.”
Lance patted his sister on the shoulder. “Great! I’ll get you a catalogue of the majors at the academy so you can decide what to study. Shall I let mother and father know of your decision?”
Adelaide looked up at her older brother. “Yes please.” Lance nodded back to her before leaving, closing the door behind him.
Adelaide shuffled over to her bed and flopped down onto it, letting out an exasperated sigh. “I guess all that’s left to do is choose a major…” she mumbled to herself. Rolling onto her side, she let her thoughts wander. “Is it selfish of me to go to Piltover to study something I don’t have a passion for, just to get away from here?” That particular question haunted her mind. Surely there were many students that longed to study in Piltover. What if she would be taking a spot from them? The academy was the only chance she would get to see how the world worked away from her controlling parents. But was that enough of a reason? The more she thought about it the less sure of her decision she became. Ada groaned, unsure of how much time had passed since she began her internal debate.
Before she knew it her brother had returned with the promised catalogue of majors. Adelaide met him at her door and thanked him, promising to make a decision by the morning. She left him at the door and brought the catalogue to her desk and began to flip through it.
The catalogue was thicker then she expected it would be. Who knew there were so many majors to choose from? It was organized alphabetically. So, Ada cracked open the large book and started with the A’s. She didn’t find anything that would meet her parents prerequisites until she hit the B’s. “Botany?” Ada muttered. “I do like plants, so maybe that’s worthwhile…” Taking out a piece of scrap paper from her desk, Ada started a list of potential majors. Her eyes continued to wander through the B’s. “Maybe I could major in business like Lance. Hmmm… I’m not really interested in that though.” Despite what she mumbled to herself she still wrote it down as a possibility. C’s, D’s, and E’s passed with nothing interesting. When she hit the F’s she stopped. Her eyes hitting what she truly wanted to study, Fine Art. Ada let her fingers ghost over the words. She closed her eyes and let out a heavy sigh. “Why don’t they want me to do what I love?” She whispered with sorrow.
Her room was covered with canvases and papers, all of drawings and paintings that she had done. Her parents knew of her passion, “You’re lucky to even be given this chance.” She reminded herself and hardened her heart to continue on.
The G’s were next. She found geology moderately interesting. Studying rocks and crystals could be fun. And given her families mining business, it could be helpful… she wrote it down on the list. With the H’s she came across history. “Does that count as something they’d let me study?” She mumbled and tapped her pencil on the desk. Suddenly an idea struck her. “Wait…” she flipped back to the A’s. She leaned closer to the catalogue. “Art History! If I can’t study fine arts, then maybe I could just study its history. I’ll have to make a good case for it, but not all hope is lost!” She wrote it down, giddy at the thought of still studying art in some way.
Ada almost closed the catalogue right then and there, but she knew she should be thorough, if nothing than as a precaution. It would be better to have more options to give to her parents than to be stuck in Avaleer because they didn’t approve of anything. The rest of the alphabet came and went, there were only a few more options she found herself interested in. She looked at the small list she had and began the task of narrowing it down to her top three choices. It was quite late by the time she was finished.
With a yawn Adelaide pushed away from her desk and headed to bed. She would present her choice to her parents after breakfast in the morning. The task was daunting and she was terrified of what her parents would say. Sleep didn’t find her easily, but eventually she gave in to her exhaustion.
Mr. and Mrs.Avaleer sat pin straight on the elegant lounge in the sitting room. Their judgmental eyes laid on their daughter who sat on the identical couch across from them. Ada stared at her feet to avoid her parents gaze. She tightly clutched the paper with her choices of study.
The doors to the sitting room opened and closed once more as her siblings entered the room. They sat on either side of her, the close proximity making Ada’s anxiety rise. In the silence that followed a tension arose in the air.
“Adelaide,” her father finally spoke, “you wanted to share with us your choices of study?”
“Yes!” The word squeaked from Adelaide’s throat and she stood. Her hands shook as she unfolded her piece of paper. “After looking over the majors offered at the academy, I have decided that I’d like to study history. Specifically Art History.” She could feel her entire body shake with her nerves.
Her parents both scowled. They passed a quick glance to Lance on Ada’s left before returning to her. Mr.Avaleer sighed. “Did your brother not tell you? If you wish to study in Piltover you must study business or a science. Something the school is known for.”
“He did, but I just thought that history-“
“Is history a science?” Her father asked. A small chuckle came from Morgan, mocking her sister.
Ada tried to ignore it and continue. “No, not exactly. But-“
“Then it is not what we agreed on.” Ada’s father stood and she felt her heart drop to her stomach. “If that’s your choice than you will not be attending Piltover Academy come fall.” Her mother stood as well, the both of them preparing to leave the room.
Ada frantically looked at them and back down to her paper, willing herself to not cry. “Botany!” She shouted. Her parents looked at her with confusion. “That was my other choice.”
Mr. and Mrs.Avaleer looked at each other. “Studying plants? It would be one of the more ladylike sciences.” Her mother commented.
Her father scratched his bearded chin in thought. “Would it be a worthwhile investment though?” He asked his wife.
“Perhaps.” Her mother pondered.
Lance cleared his throat and stood to meet his fathers gaze. “Botany is well within the parameters you set up. To deny her would be going back on your word, father.”
“My boy, I said if she were to go, I did not make a solid promise. But if you are so eager to support your sister then fine, she can attend. However, you will accompany her on her first day and we expect high marks. Any sign that you are shirking your studies and we will bring you home.”
Ada was stunned momentarily. Her father actually agreed. She nodded. “Yes, yes of course! Thank you!” She waited for her parents to leave the room before eagerly running out herself. Fall wasn’t that far off and Ada had a lot to prepare.
Finally the day came. It was time to board the train to Piltover and begin life as a student, away from her family. Avaleer wasn’t that far from Piltover, but it’s location near the mountains made a train ride much preferred to a long carriage ride.
Adelaide and Lance sat across from each other in the train cabin. Ada stared out the window and let her thoughts wander. It had been quite some time since she even left Avaleer. Her family used to attend Progress Day every year, but she hadn’t been to one in awhile. There were also trips to meet clients that were buying the steel that her family manufactured. She hadn’t been on those trips since she was a child. How much has the city changed? She wondered.
“Ada.” Her brother drew her back from her thoughts.
“Hm?” She hummed and looked at her brother.
“I know that I made Piltover out to be a shining beacon of freedom and prosperity, but you should still take precautions while you are there.”
Ada gave him a quizzical look. “I know that. It’s not like I haven’t been to the city before.”
“Yes, but it’s been awhile. And you’ll be alone this time. It’s not the same as those trips when we were kids. Tensions have been on the rise recently with the Undercity. You need to be careful. Promise me you won’t leave the academy district.”
Ada had wanted to explore the city, but she’d be lying if she didn’t admit she was nervous to be on her own. “I promise I’ll stay in the academy district.”
She hadn’t realized how much tension Lance had been holding in his shoulders until she saw them fall. His whole body relaxed. It made her feel a bit guilty. The only reason she was able to go to Piltover was because he helped her. And now the whole prospect of her being in the city was stressing him out.
“Thank you Lance.” Ada said.
“What for?” A soft smile graced his lips while his eyebrows knitted together in confusion.
“Everything. Sticking up for me, bringing me to Piltover, just all of it.”
Lance laughed. “You’re my little sister. It’s my job to stick up for you.” He glanced out the window to see the city in the distance. It wouldn’t be long now before they arrived. “Besides, I know you wouldn’t have been happy at home.”
Ada looked out the window. This sight of the city left butterflies in her stomach. Her future at the academy was an exciting prospect that she couldn’t wait to enjoy!
Finally the train approached the station in Piltover. Lance helped her with her large suitcase and the two of them exited the train. Once off the platform, Ada noticed a large balcony on the side of the station. She ran towards it and immediately leaned onto the railing, her jaw dropping at the view. The city was laid out before her. The golden accents on every building shone with the light of the late morning sun overhead. “Wow.” She whispered.
Lance wasn’t too far behind her. He set down Ada’s suitcase and looked out into the city. A large grin crossed his face, “Well Adelaide, welcome to the city of progress!”

Arcane OC Fic Coming Soon!
I think I’m gonna start posting my fic for my Arcane OC on here. Ive had the fist chapter done for awhile and have been chugging away at the second one (amongst other chapters. My fic writing process is kind of erratic). I guess I’ve been a bit embarrassed to share an OC fic, but I may just say fuck it and post it anyway. No time like the present right?

Unsaid Emily [Viktor x Reader]
I’ve been sitting on this one for a little bit now. It is inspired by the song Unsaid Emily from Julie and the Phantoms. I wanted to try something a bit different and write something thats got a bit of angst to it. The entire fic is written from Viktors point of view. It is a female reader, but there is no use of Y/N
youtube
Summary: Viktor reflects on his departure from Piltover after he transforms himself using the Hexcore
Warnings: a little bit angsty, not an overly happy ending, but its not an angsty ending
Tumblr media
First things first
We start the scene in reverse
She was the light of my life. The shining sun that brightened my darkest days. And she was the only thing on my mind as the council room ignited. I had felt pain before, but it was nothing compared to that day. The searing flames that enveloped me left me wishing for death, but I had spent so long fighting my own demise that I couldn’t let it end like this. Not for myself, and certainly not for her.
I was rushed to the hospital along with the other members of the council. Somehow Jayce and councilor Medarda made it out unscathed, if only I was as lucky. I could hear voices, of Jayce and the doctors, and hers most of all. She pleaded for the doctors to help me, but I heard them doubt that I was even worth it. My body was already dying of disease. Those burns and broken bones only helped to speed up the process. They were unsure if I would even survive.
That was not the first time I had heard doctors predict my end. The hardest part perhaps was hearing her reaction to the news. Wailing sobs that echoed through my heart. Unfortunately I could do nothing. My mind swung between sleeping and waking but my body refused to move nonetheless.
She spent countless nights at my bedside after that. Her soft hands grasped my own scarred ones, never letting go. I could hear her crying for hours. The final catalyst to will my body to finally wake was hearing her words, desperate and sorrowful.
“Please Viktor. You have to wake up. I’m not sure my heart could survive if you die. You were so close to curing yourself, it just isn’t fair!”
My eyes had finally opened to see her. I caressed her cheek with my hand, cold and metal from the Hexcore, but unscathed from the explosion. A thought passed through my head at that moment. She couldn’t bare to see me die, but I couldn’t bare to see her suffer at my tragedy. There was a solution, but one that would drastically change me forever…
No time for goodbyes
Didn't get to apologize
Pieces of a clock that lies broken
After weeks of me being in the hospital she finally left my side to sleep in her own bed, content that I was on a path to healing. This was a lie, I could feel my body getting weaker.
That night without her was dark and quiet. Somehow I was able to bring myself to my feet. My body could move just enough to walk, ehh limp, back to the lab. I had made a decision, a selfish one, but it was my only option.
I practically collapsed when I entered through the doors, but relief had struck me to see that Jayce had yet to destroy the Hexcore. I crawled my way towards it. Once I had reached the desk I weakly extended my hand to the Hexcore. Either it would heal or destroy me, but a deadman has nothing to lose. The Hexcore whirred to life with my touch, the scarred runes etched into my skin glowed, and I could feel it changing me. Magic coursed through my veins allowing me to stand. Strength returned to my whole being. I took the Hexcore in both hands, invigorated by my newfound health. It was working! Until it began to happen…
My muscles changed, encouraging my skin to as well, to become metal. The more I tried the harder it became to remove my hands from that cursed invention! The more the changes progressed the more my body was wracked with pain.
Was it luck? Or perhaps it was misfortune that there was nobody near the lab to hear my cries? Nobody to help tear me away from the Hexcore. Yes, it must have been luck. For anybody that tried would have ended up like Sky. With a final flash of light I found myself on the floor.
As I came to I noticed just how much I had changed. Like my leg and altered hand from my first uses of the Hexcore, it was as though my muscular structure and skin had merged. My body had become a sort of living metal, some sort of cyborg abomination. I quickly made my way to a mirror in the lab to see what changes had become of my face. Most of it seemed unchanged, aside from my sclera becoming black, my golden eyes now glowed in the dark room, and up to my cheeks retained the same purple metal as the remainder of my body.
It was an interesting development. And while I had felt stronger than I ever had in my entire life, I knew that here in Piltover I’d be seen as some sort of monster. And I feared that she might see me the same. So I took to Hexcore and ran.
I ran from Piltover to somewhere I presumed I would be alone, my old childhood home on Emberflit Alley… in Zaun. I was honestly surprised to see it still empty after all of these years. The structure was not the most sound, and cobwebs filled every nook and cranny. But I thought I could stay for some time. Until I decided if I wanted her to see me as I am now. Just some time…
If I could take us back, if I could just do that
And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace
Then maybe time would not erase me
How long had it been? A month, maybe two? Perhaps longer? Time was irrelevant when all that matters was progress. And I had made much progress since returning to Zaun. I adapted to my new metal body, creating augmentations to myself to improve my body and my mind. I augmented others as well, when they desired. Although only the truly desperate ever sought me out. Unfortunately my new position in Zaun earned me a strange nickname amongst the people, the Machine Herald. I didn’t mind the name so much as I thought it unnecessary to use such a thing. Not matter, all of this was simply a distraction.
While my goals to help the people of the Undercity had never changed, my reasoning had become warped. I simply longed for a way to distract myself from the thought of her. From my guilt of leaving.
I have hated myself for not leaving a note, for not telling her what happened. For not even going back to let her know I’m alive. I cant bear to think about the grief she must have suffered on my behalf. Perhaps she worried herself sick looking for me before Jayce finally convinced her to let me go. A part of me selfishly hopes that she still believes I’m alive.
As I tinker with a new project at my desk those thoughts echo in the back of my mind. How come the past never ceases to haunt me?
A light knocking echos through my small house. I stop my work and listen. Usually the knocking continues if someone truly wants my help. Instead I hear a voice that makes my blood run cold.
“Hello?”
For a moment I remain at my lab desk. The voice that resonated from the other side of my door leaves me paralyzed. Then it comes again. The wrapping of knuckles lightly on the front door followed by the familiar cadence that has plagued my mind since leaving Piltover.
“Hello? Is this where I can find the Machine Herald?”
I place my mask over my face and rise to my feet. My hands remain planted firmly on the desk, unsure if I can answer the door. How can I face you like this? As a man changed beyond recognition. As a man that was supposed to be dead. Surely if you find out who I am you will be furious. Perhaps it would be better to just ignore you. Again those knuckles found themselves knocking my the door, drawing me from my thoughts.
“Hello? Is anybody-“
I whip the door open a lot harder than I mean to. Immediately, I regret my decision to face you. You were like a small rabbit cornered by a wolf. I had forgotten that my augmentations came with an enhancement to my height. My looming figure must have caught you off guard. I try to soften my stance, but it is rather difficult to soften a figure made of steel.
“Are you the Machine Herald?” Your voice squeaks with terror the likes of which I have never heard from you before.
I have to take a moment to compose myself before I answer. “Yes.”
You hold yourself steady but there is no denying the trembling of your legs. How my heart aches to know that I frighten you so.
“Please… I need your help.” You sound so desperate. It takes everything in my power to not show how worried I am for you. Perhaps I should let you know who I really am? But would that help? Or perhaps make whatever you are coming to the Machine Herald for worse? I gesture for you to come inside. You spared a small glance as you pass into my home, one of fear and distrust.
I lead you into my lab, keeping a careful distance from you. I pull up a chair for you and take a seat myself beside my desk. “Please, what’s wrong? Why have you come here?” I ask, perhaps with more concern in my voice then I meant to add. And for a moment I see something in your eyes. A glimmer of recognition behind them. Perhaps my voice, though modulated by my mask, was enough to tip you off to my identity. But as quickly as I saw it, it faded into a look of hopelessness.
You open and close your mouth, take a deep breath, and answer. “I’ve heard that you can remove a persons emotions. I’ve been plagued by mine for too many months now. I can’t bear it anymore. Please mister Machine Herald, can you take them from me?!”
If you could only know I'd never let you go
And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave
Unsaid Emily
I have to grasp my desk to stop myself from jumping to my feet and consoling you. “No. I can’t do that.” I can hear my voice waver, much to my own dismay.
“But I-“
“What you heard was merely a rumor. Nasty things… rumors” I avert my eyes so that I don’t see the disappointment that I’ve caused, though I can hear you start to sob.
“What can I do? I can’t live without him! I tried, truly I did. But I just can’t!”
My heart can’t bear to hear you sobbing, especially knowing that I am the cause of such heartache. Damn the consequences! Even if you hate me for what I’ve done, that hate would be better than seeing you in such despair.
“I did try to get rid of them.” At the sound of my voice you look up. “Not too long ago I decided to do something that I’m not proud of. Using a dangerous invention of mine I was able to save my own life from fatal injuries and disease. I didn’t intend to leave my home, but looking upon my changed form I knew that I no longer had a place in Piltover.” I stop to breathe out a sigh at the memory. “Unfortunately, in the process of saving myself, I lost the woman I love. How could I have left her behind?” I spared a glance towards you. The wheels in your head were clearly turning. I continued on, pain evident in my voice. “What I’d done caused me so much guilt that I wanted to get rid of my emotions. I had begun research on how I might achieve that, but in the end it was my emotions that convinced me to stop. I’d already hurt you so much, it is only right that I live with my guilt. It is what I deserve.” Your eyes widen and a stuttered gasp leaves your lips.
“Viktor…” you whisper, the recognition settling in your sad eyes.
I remove my mask and set it to the side. “Yes, my love.” I say as I look at you through my own teary eyes.
“How?” I expected anger from you, but instead it was like I had broken your heart all over again. Your words came out in sobs. “How could you leave me behind? Why did you let me think you were dead? Why did you hide who you were when I came here?”
I reach a hand out to you but rescind it. I don’t have the right to touch you after what I’ve done. “I’m sorry. I was afraid and I didn’t want to hurt you.”
“Hurt me?” You say with surprise. But now comes the fury I’d expected from you before. “Look at me and tell me that what you did didn’t hurt me! You left me alone! You didn’t say where you went! You just disappeared from the hospital! Ive cried over you every night since you disappeared! Jayce and I assumed the worst. We looked for you for over a month.” It doesn’t seem like you can keep your rage flowing. The melancholy starts to seep into your voice. “I held out hope for so long that we’d find you alive. I think Jayce was at least hoping to find your body so we could put you to rest. To actually grieve you.” You stop and there is a deafening silence that I’m not sure I want to break. Finally you speak again, voice hoarse from shouting. “Why didn’t you come back for me? I would have left Piltover to be with you Viktor. You knew that I would’ve gone to the ends of the world for you.”
I let out a deep sigh. “I was ashamed of my new body. I feared that you might have seen me as a monster had I returned to your side.”
“I would never have-“
“I know. But it took me too long to realize that. I suppose I was projecting the feelings i had of  myself onto you. It was my own way of punishing myself.” I looked to see some sort of reaction from you, but for the first time since entering my home I couldn’t tell what you were feeling. “As the days past I knew I should’ve gone back to you. But I also realized that if I did go back, you’d hate me as you do now. And as selfish as it was, I didn’t think I could bear you hating me”
“I don’t hate you, Viktor.” You look at me now with softer eyes. “I am upset, but I have every right to be. And you’re right. It was a selfish thought.”
“If I could go back and change the past I would never have left you.” I let a single tear roll from my eye.
“And I truly believe that Viktor.” You give me a quick smile before sighing. “But we can’t change the past.”
There is a moment of silence between us before I speak up once more. “What can we do? How can we fix us?”
“We could start over I suppose.” You shrug. Then you look at me with those doe eyes of yours, a soft smile gracing your lips. “Although, I never stopped loving you.”
With those words I felt a warmth in my heart that I haven’t felt since I left Piltover. I smiled at you, “And I never stopped loving you.”
You scoot a bit closer to me and place a hand over my own. I look down at you, again you’re on the verge of tears. “I missed you so much Viktor. I need some time to process all of this, but I want us to get back to where we were”
Placing my free hand onto your cheek I wipe away your fallen tears. “I want that too. Please take all the time you need.”
You smile at me before standing. “Id like you to visit me topside. Maybe dinner tomorrow? We can work on us.”

What Do You Know About Love? [Viktor x Reader]
This was just a quick fic cause I was having some feelings recently that I needed to get out. It’s about 650 words and I wrote it kinda fast. There’s no use of Y/N at all either by the way.
Synopsis:
Viktor says that he loves you but you aren’t sure what love feels like.
Warnings: Nothing explicit. I don’t want to say it’s angst but the reader does question themselves about love
Tumblr media
Viktor cupped your cheeks gently in his hands and he brought your face close to his own. “I love you.” he whispered before placing his lips upon your own. It was a long drawn out kiss, passionate without going over the edge. He pulled away slowly but when he opened his eyes the last thing that Viktor expected to see were tears streaming down your face. He hesitantly placed a single hand to your cheek and lightly wiped away a tear as he spoke. “What’s wrong?”
“I-I want to…” Your voice caught in your throat, unable to complete your sentence.
Viktor cocked his head to the side and raised an eyebrow. He spoke with a voice like honey, one that could soothe anything that was wrong. “You want to? What is it that you want my love?”
“I want to say it back. But I-“ You backed away from his touch and wrapped your arms around yourself. “I don’t think I know what love is.” You sniffled and felt your throat grow tight. You hated crying in front of anybody, but something about crying in front of Viktor felt even worse. You didn’t want him to pity you, not for something as mundane as this. And yet you continued to cry, your sobs growing louder and more intense with every sentence spoken. “I’ve never… been with anybody before, so how can I possibly know when I’m actually feeling love. I don’t even think I mean it when I say it to my parents. I just- I don’t want to say it and not mean it. How can I tell if I mean it?!”
Viktor took you by the shoulders and pulled you into a tight hug. “Shhh. It’s ok. You don’t have to say it back.”
“It’s not fair to you.” You sobbed into his chest and he began to lightly stroke your hair.
“Then let me ask you, how often do you think of me?”
You thought for a moment before answering in a pitiful and hoarse voice “…Everyday”
Viktor hummed in response, a small smile working it’s way onto his lips. “And when you see me, does your heart flutter? Does the sight of me put a smile on your face?”
A smile cracked onto your own lips at his questions. “Yes.” Came your answer, muffled from your face in his shirt.
“Would you be devastated if I were to die?”
You pulled away from him at his suddenly dark question. Your face was riddled with despair. So much so that Viktor felt terrible for even asking such a thing. “Viktor, please don’t make me think of things like that.”
“I’m sorry dear.” he sighed and ran his hands down your arms until they were grasping your own. “I do have one more question though. When I tell you I love you does it warm your heart?”
You looked at him with tear-filled eyes and gave a warm smile. “It does.” you answered.
“All of those thoughts and feelings… that is love.”
“It is?”
He smiled warmly at you. “It is. But you don’t have to say it. I’ve known that you loved me for quite some time.”
“You have?”
Viktor leaned in to touch his forehead to yours. “Mhmm. I’ve known from the way to bring me food when you know I haven’t eaten. And from the small gifts you give me, just because you saw them and thought of me. From the long nights you spend by my side just so I am not alone.” With each new example he gives your smile grows wider and wider. “You don’t need to say you love me because you show it instead.” He leaned his head back up and looked into your eyes, still puffy from crying but now scrunched in the corners from your wide grin. “And so you don’t forgot, I will tell you once more. I love you”

Comfort [JayVik x GN Reader]
Just a quick little thing I whipped up cause I’ve been feeling down recently and could use some comfort from my favorite boys
Summary: Reader comes to the lab upset, Jayce and Viktor help comfort them
Warnings: None! It’s just fluffy
Tumblr media
When you entered the lab Jayce and Viktor both turned to face you. Upon seeing you they immediately made their way to your side. "Is everything alright?" Viktor asked. "What's wrong? Jayce also asked, both his and Viktors voices blended together. "Everything fine!" You gave a very unconvincing fake smile. "My love, your nose is all red and you sound congested." Viktor cocked his head to the side and his brows knitted together with concern. "I'm having a hard time believing everything is fine." Jayce placed his hand to the side of your face and softly rubbed a thumb on your upper cheek. "And your eyes are still red and puffy. You've been crying haven't you?" Your breath hitched and Jayce frowned. He continued to stroke your cheek back and forth in a soothing motion. "You don't have to say what's bothering you, but we are both here for you. You know that." With his words you couldn't hold it in anymore. The tears started to flow from your eyes. Jayce pulled you into a warm hug and you sobbed into his chest. You felt Viktor hug you from behind, his long arms finding their way around your waist. He rested his head on your shoulder to speak softly to you. "It'll be alright. Whatever it is that's bothering you will pass. Until then, lean on Jayce and I. We are your rocks and we will never leave you." His kind words had you sobbing even harder. You were glad that you had these two men in your life to love and support you no matter what. You let yourself have the emotional release you needed, with Jayce and Viktor holding you between them. When your crying sounded like it was subsiding you were released from your comforting hug, but Jayce let a hand linger on your shoulder. You sniffled and wiped your eyes. "Thank you" You muttered. "Anything for you." Viktor moved beside you to place a quick kiss on your cheek before taking a place at Jayce's side. Jayce kissed your other cheek. "We love you Y/N, don't ever forget that." You gave a bittersweet smile. "I love you both so much!" You practically jumped into their arms for another hug, though it was hard to get your arms around both of them. Luckily Jayce had it covered instead, scopping both you and Viktor up into a bear hug that had you finally laughing instead of crying. You knew you had been right to come to the lab to see your partners. They always know exactly what you need to feel better.

By the Light of the Full Moon [Werewolf! Viktor x Reader]
Summary: You find out that Viktor is a werewolf. His feelings make things a bit complicated.
Word count is 9,544. I only mention it cause this one is super long. I’ve been working on this for far too long tbh
Warnings: Masturbation, arousal
Tumblr media
The lab door opened and shut quietly as you entered. “Good morning.” You greeted the two scientists you assisted.
“Morning Y/N!” The more chipper one, Jayce, responded.
“Good morning.” Viktor turned on his lab stool to return your greeting, a small grin on his face.
You returned his smile before getting down to business. “So what are we working on today?”
Jayce crossed the room to you and placed a hand on your shoulder. He spoke to you as he led you over to his desk. “Well Viktor doesn’t need any assistance today but I could sure use another set of eyes on my project.”
“Alright. What’s the project?”
Jayce went on to explain the pair of gauntlets that he was working on, how they would go about helping those in the mining industry. Viktor couldn’t help but listen in on the conversation, though he was supposed to be focusing on his own invention.
It was hard for Viktor on days like today. Being a disabled man from the Undercity was something he could handle, but also hiding a secret as big as being a werewolf in Piltover on the day of a full moon? It was unbearably tricky. The werewolf curse heightened his senses on the day of the full moon, sometimes to the extent where it made it impossible for him to even get any work done. Viktor attempted to ignore the sounds of your two voices discussing the gauntlets. Thankfully after not too long you and Jayce had begun to work in silence beside each other.
Several hours passed in that blissful silence before another distraction caused Viktor to cease his work. A sweet smell entered his nostrils, one that he’d come to recognize as yours after these past few months. Although this time there was an unfamiliar scent to you, one he couldn’t quite pinpoint. He turned his head to find you standing beside him.
“I know Jayce said you didn’t need any assistance today, but I’m almost finished helping him and I wanted to see if you needed anything?” You shyly tucked your hair behind your ear and waited for his answer.
Viktors heart beat faster with your increased proximity. Your scent was intoxicating and he could hardly stand it. “I am fine thank you.” He responded before turning away from you and placing a hand over his face to try and dull the smell.
You cocked your head to the side and leaned onto his desk. “Is something wrong Viktor?”
“Ah- I’m fine. It’s just a headache.” He lied. He tightly clenched his free hand into a fist on the table. It was an attempt to draw his attention away from your overwhelming aroma.
“Oh. Maybe you could use something to eat? It is just about lunch time. Do you want me to grab you something?”
Viktor did notice an emptiness in his stomach now that you mentioned it. “Yes food would be good. A steak sandwich would be nice.”
“Oh alright… Yeah I can grab that for you.” You were a little caught off guard at that request. Usually he asked for something lighter, or sweeter when you did the lunch runs.
“Is that ok?” He asks.
“Yes! You just don’t usually get something like that is all.” You blushed at admitting you know what he usually likes to eat.
“The iron will be good for my headache.” He lied. He didn’t know if it would actually help a headache, but he had an intense craving for meat during every full moon.
“I guess that makes sense… I’ll get right on it” you smiled at him before heading over to Jayce. “Jayce, I’m doing a lunch run. You want anything?”
Viktor released the breath he didn’t know he was holding. Your scent lingered around him until you finally left the lab in your quest for food.
Jayce, seeing the visible discomfort in his partner, made his way to Viktors desk. “Is it bad this month?” Viktor jumped at the sudden voice beside him. He visibly relaxed at the sight of Jayce, unclenching his fist to reveal a bloody palm and a set of claws on his fingers. Jayce cringed at the sight, “Yeesh, I guess it is. Let me get you some bandages”
Jayce retrieved the first aide kit and began to clean and bandage Viktors hand. “It’s not just the moon,” Viktor admitted, “it’s her.”
Jayce stopped what he was doing and gave Viktor his undivided attention. “Who? Y/N?”
“Yes. For some reason her scent is overwhelming. It was driving me crazy! I could hardly think when she was standing next to me.” Viktor leaned onto the desk in front of him and placed his head in his hands.
“Her scent? I mean I guess I’m not surprised since you have a wolfs sense of smell… can you always smell her?”
“I can, but it’s usually diluted. And before you ask you have a particular smell too.”
Jayce leaned on the table and looked at Viktor with curiosity in his eyes. “What do I smell like?”
Viktor whipped his head towards Jayce, a hint of annoyance on his face. Still, he answered Jayces question. “Metal and that cheap cologne you always wear.” Jayce laughed at his answer and leaned back in his chair. Viktors face softened and he sighed. “She usually smells of wild flowers and vanilla, but today there was something different mixed in. And whatever it was…” he looked away from Jayce and stared into the distance. “… I had a physical reaction to it.”
“A physical reaction?” Jayce had a suspicion of what Viktor meant and raised an accusatory eyebrow.
Viktor looked back at him with aggravation. “Yes. You know…” he roughly gestured towards his lap.
“I see. And… that’s a bad thing?” “I’ve never felt that way about someone before. To have such a reaction to her…” Viktor returned his head to his hands as he once again leaned on the table. “It’s confusing…”
Jayce wanted to help Viktor, so he began to brainstorm. “Could it be the wolf making you feel this way? Maybe it’s more of an animal instinct or something than sexual attraction?”
“I’m not sure if it is a wolf thing, it’s not like there is a manual for any of this.” Viktor gestured to the air at nothing in particular.
“Well, there’s nothing wrong with you feeling a sexual attraction to her you know.” Jayce gave a small chuckle.
“I suppose.” Viktor mumbled begrudgingly.
“Come on Viktor, you’ve known her for some time now. You like her romantically don’t you?”
Viktor looked away again and hesitated for a moment. He could feel Jayce staring him down for an answer. Sighing, he gave in. “Yes, I do.”
“Then it’s no wonder your feelings would develop further! Or that her scent would influence those feelings.” Jayce boasted with a smile. “If you want my advice, you should tell her how you feel.”
Viktor looked at him as if he were insane. “I can’t do that.”
“If it’s because of your curse, then you might as well let her know about that too.” Jayce folded his arms over his chest.
“Of course it’s because of my curse. I would rather continue our professional relationship than have no relationship at all because she is scared of what I am.”
Jayce opened his mouth to respond, but the door to the lab opened and he looked towards it. You had returned with food in hand. Jayce placed a hand on Viktors shoulder as he left his side, making sure to leave him with a parting glance. He walked up to you and grabbed his sandwich from the bag you were carrying them in. “I’ll take that, thanks.” He returned to his own desk, leaving you with the other two sandwiches in the bag.
You rolled your eyes at Jayces actions and walked towards Viktor. “Lunch is here.” You said and extended a hand with his sandwich out to him. Your scent was again wafting all around him. His body reacted as it had before, leaving him blushing. Viktor reached for the sandwich with his bandaged hand. Spotting the bandages you placed the sandwich directly on the desk instead and took his hand. You gently rubbed it. “What happened?”
Your face held such concern, it left Viktors heart beating wildly. He didn’t even realize that between his feelings and the full moon, his curse had caused him to sprout a tail. “It was only a lab accident.” He somehow managed to come up with an excuse despite just how crazy you were driving him. His tail wagged wildly with delight, luckily you were focused on his hand and nowhere else.
“It’s not too painful is it?” You held his hand a little firmer, keeping your eyes pasted on Viktors face. He was looking at your hand in his own. His mouth went dry as he tried to answer. He shook his head as a response.
A chuckle from behind you drove your attention away from one another. With his attention diverted Viktor was able to speak up again, “Just what is so funny?” His tail dropped along with his mood.
“Nothing. I just remembered that I saw a rather funny looking dog earlier today. Have you ever seen a dog with a happy wagging tail, but just the most sour look on his face? Its quite the sight.” Jayce commented, slyly making fun of Viktor.
Viktor didn’t appreciate it and scowled. “Huh I don’t think I’ve ever seen a dog like that. But I hardly think that sounds funny. Sorry Jayce” You replied. Though you didn’t know Jayce was making fun of him, your comment caused Viktors tail to begin to wag again in appreciation.
“Well, maybe you’ll see one sooner than you think. Then I’m sure you’ll be laughing with me.”
“Perhaps we should all eat before our appetites are ruined.” Viktor said.
“Good idea.” You smiled and moved away to a free spot towards Jayce to eat your lunch.
The freedom from your scent directly around him finally gave Viktor the solace he needed. He was able to calm his senses, his tail receded away, and his thoughts mostly cleared.
Luckily the day went on smoothly. Jayce gave you another task to help him with so Viktor didn’t have to worry about exposing his secret. When the sun was beginning to set Jayce stood and turned to you. “Well I think it’s about time to turn in for the night don’t you think?”
“I suppose so.” You stood as well and began to gather your belongings.
“I think I am going to stay late tonight.” Viktor said.
“What else is new?” Jayce laughed. “Come on Y/N. I’ll walk you home.”
You and Jayce left together, leaving Viktor alone in the lab. Your place wasn’t too far from the academy so the walk with Jayce was short. Of course he spent the entire time talking of his theories about the Atlas Gauntlets you were helping him design. It seemed Viktor wasn’t the only one who was a workaholic. You reached your apartment, bid Jayce good bye, and thanked him for walking you home.
After entering your small apartment you couldn’t help but think of what Jayce was rambling about. It did hold some merit and if you could work out the calculations… you had to write down your thoughts. Placing your bag on the counter you began to dig through it for your journal. No matter how hard you looked it just didn’t seem to be there. You let out a disgruntled noise. “I must have left it in the lab.” You mumbled to yourself. You didn’t really need it right this moment, but Jayce made the wheels in your head start turning. It wasn’t too late either. You could make it to the lab and back in no time at all.
You stuck your keys and wallet in your pockets, opting to travel light, and headed back to the lab. The sun had almost completely set by the time you made it there. You grabbed hold of the door handle and lightly turned it as you always do, but were surprised to find it locked. ‘That’s weird. Viktor said he was staying late’ you thought to yourself. You quickly came to the conclusion that he must have changed his mind. You took out your keys to the lab and unlocked the door before quietly entering and shutting the door behind you.
A strange groaning sound caught your ear, it sounded like someone was in pain. You turned your attention towards Viktors desk. There on the ground you saw him curled in the fetal position. “Viktor!” You shouted and ran to him, dropping to your knees behind his trembling form. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” Once the initial shock had worn off you noticed that he was completely nude. A harsh blush covered your cheeks and you only had more questions.
Viktor looked up at you, his face riddled with terror. “What are you doing here?!” He shouted before contorting in pain, letting out a harsh cry of agony. “You have-you have to run.” He forced the words out of his throat.
Your hands trembled as they ghosted over his shoulder. “Viktor. What- whatever this is I can help. Just let me-“
You don’t get to finish as Viktor whips his head back towards you. “RUN!” His shout is mixed with an animalistic growl that left you stunned and trembling. His face had changed, taking on a canine form with large sharp teeth. You watched in terror as the rest of his body followed similar changes. He cried in pain as his spine cracked and lengthened. His limbs stretched and contorted to accommodate both a quadrupedal and bipedal stance. His fingers lengthened, sharp claws growing on their ends to form an odd combination of human hand and paw. The final change came with thick mahogany fur covering his entire body. For a moment he just laid there on the floor, breathing, his entire body reeling from the change.
It was then that you were finally able to break away from your paralyzed state, realizing what you just witnessed. Viktor was a werewolf and he might be dangerous. You moved slowly at first, just to stand. When he didn’t react you began to back away. His ears perked in your direction first, then his whole head whipped your way. You turned on your heel and sprinted for the door, but Viktor was faster. In a single bound he was on top of you, pinning you to the ground.
You shook in terror, your breath followed suit, and tears threatened to fall from your eyes. He let out a low growl as his head came closer to your own. “V-Viktor! Please!” You cried. He huffed out a breath near your face before inhaling. His large jaw opened wide, ready to make the kill… then he stopped…
Wildflowers and Vanilla.
Viktor staggered back on his hind legs, shaking his head in confusion. The memories of his human half came flooding back. It overtook his animalistic urges. He stopped and looked up at you. You were leaning up now, looking at him with terrified eyes, small trickles of blood ran down your arms where he had you pinned down with his claws. He whimpered at the sight of you. Viktor backed away, limping on his bad leg, until his back was pinned to the desk against the wall.
The way he looked at you now was different. The beastial gaze that he held before was gone. “Viktor?” You squeaked his name from your throat. “Do you recognize me?” You came to your feet with shaking knees.
The wolfman held out his large hands in an attempt to tell you to stay back. “You do, don’t you?” You took a step towards him. He bowed his head down and away from your gaze. The fear that was once in your eyes faded to compassion. You crossed towards him, stopping when you noticed that he had started to shake. Your heart sank to see him so scared. “Oh Viktor…” you said to yourself. You spoke softly to him, as comforting as you could. “It’s alright. I know you didn’t mean to hurt me. And I know you would ever willingly harm me.” You slowly lowered down to your knees not more than a few strides from him. He looked down at you with concern laced in his eyes. You gazed up at him softly and outstretched your arms. “Come here”
Viktor hesitated before using the desk behind him to help lower himself to the ground. He very slowly crawled towards you. Now that you weren’t terrified you noticed that he didn’t put weight on one of his back legs. Even in this form he still had a bad leg. It was oddly comforting to know that he was the same Viktor that you’d come to know.
He took a seat in front of you and you laced your arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug. “So this is what was really bothering you today. I wish I could’ve helped.” Viktor whimpered into your shoulder as a response and you held him tighter, stroking a hand down his back. His tail began to thump against the lab floor. It was slow but gradually picked up speed the longer you held him there. A smile spread across your face when you noticed it.
‘Why does this seem familiar?’ You thought to yourself. After a moment you realized something. “Wait.” You released Viktor from your hug and sat back on your heels. “Jayces comment earlier, the one about the dog, was that supposed to be about you?”
Viktor huffed in response, clearly annoyed at the memory. He stalked on all fours to his desk and laid down beneath it with his back to you. You chuckled at his reaction. But with the knowledge of it being about Viktor you wondered when something like that even occurred.
“Hold on, did you have a tail earlier today and I was too oblivious to notice?” You crawled after him towards the desk.
Viktor placed his paw like hands over his face in embarrassment.
You thought about when it could have happened. Given the timing of Jayces comment the most likely time was…“Was it when I was holding your hand?”
If wolves could blush Viktor would certainly have been quite red in the face. Instead a small embarrassed whimper left his throat as as an answer.
You hummed in response. Then a thought occurred to you. You almost dare not ask the question, rather scared of what his answer might be. “Viktor? Do you… have feelings for me?”
Viktor tensed up completely. Then he began to squirm, tucking his head further to shield himself from embarrassment.
A light dusting of blush fell upon your cheeks. You gave a sad smile at his reaction to your question, and placed a hand gently on his back. “Viktor, can you come out from under there please? I’d prefer to talk to you face to face.”
Reluctantly, Viktor backed out from under the desk. He turned and sat in front of you with his head facing away. You gently took his muzzle into your hands and turned it to face you. You sweetly kissed the top of his head. “I have feelings for you too Viktor.“ You let yourself fall back onto your heels and stroked a hand down his face, gazing into his golden eyes. “For quite some time I’ve wanted nothing but to be by your side. To hold you close, share sweet kisses, and to know everything about you. And I’m glad I’m getting to know this side of you as well.”
Unable to give a kiss back Viktor leaned foreword lightly licked your cheek. You giggled at the action, leaving a giddy smile on your face. You pulled him into a hug. “This wasn’t at all how I imagined telling you this” you laughed. Viktor let out a small woof in agreement. “You either huh?”
A growl in your stomach reminded you that you hadn’t eaten dinner yet. You pulled away from Viktor and he cocked his head to the side, looking at you curiously. “Sorry. I didn’t eat before coming back to the lab. I didn’t exactly expect to be here more than a few minutes.” You stood up and walked to the desk you had worked at earlier in the day. You picked up your journal and looked at. “I came to grab my journal, but that seems kind of pointless now.” Setting the leather bound book back on the desk you turned and looked at Viktor.
He was standing, more like towering behind you. He was already tall before, but now he had to stand at almost 7 feet tall. You were taken aback for a moment and had to collect your thoughts. “Do you want dinner? I could go and grab us some takeout or something”
Viktor nodded in response. You proceeded to walk over to Jayces desk and began rummaging through a drawer where you knew he kept takeout menus. Viktor slowly followed behind you. After a minute you found a menu for a diner that was nearby and pulled it out. “Just point to what you want. My treat!” You placed the menu down on top of the desk and grinned at Viktor. He peered at the menu for a couple of minutes before finally pointing to something. You looked at what he picked and giggled. “The steak. I should’ve known… Do you get cravings for meat every full moon?”
Viktor nodded but turned his face from you. You could only guess he was embarrassed by the entire situation. You placed a comforting hand onto his fur covered arm. He looked down at you.
“There’s nothing to be embarrassed about you know. I’m sure being a werewolf is hard for you, but I don’t think any less of you. Trust me on that.” You let your hand fall from his arm and headed towards the door. Viktor grabbed your arm and stopped you in your tracks. “What is it?”
He ran his paw down your arm, pulled it away, and lifted it to show you the blood from the wound he inflicted earlier.
“Oh. Right, I should probably clean that huh?” You chuckled. So much had happened so quickly that you didn’t even notice the dull ache from the cuts his claws had made in your arm. You quickly retrieved the labs first aide kit, sat down at the nearest desk, and took out the antiseptic. You dabbed a bit onto a cotton ball and then dabbed it over your cut on one arm, cringing at the sting. Viktor watched you intensely with guilty eyes. “Ah, don’t worry Viktor. I’ve gotten worse scrapes before.” You continued to cringe as you cleaned the cuts on your opposite arm as well. “Honestly, the antiseptic hurts more than the cuts.” You joked. You took out the bandages and wrapped them around your upper arm. You looked at Viktor when you went to bandage your dominant arm. “I may need a bit of assistance here.”
He came closer and you held out the wrappings to him. You were glad to see his paws held some form of dexterity and he was able to hold the gauze well enough to wrap it around your other arm. You helped him secure it in place and lifted your head to smile at him. “There, no harm done!”
Viktors expression didn’t change much, and you could tell he still felt guilty. You stood from the desk and made your way over to the door.
“I’ll be back soon, I promise. And please don’t feel bad Viktor. I know you didn’t mean to hurt me.” You dipped out the doors from the lab and locked them behind you.
Your mind reeled as you walked to the nearby diner. So Viktor is a werewolf. That is an unexpected development. I have so many questions for him. Was he born this way, or was he bitten, or scratched? I’m not quite sure how it all works… Does Jayce know? Or is it only me? It’s not like he wanted me to find out. But he and Jayce are closer, so why wouldn’t he tell him… You groaned at your lack of clarity. It was hard to get answers when Viktor couldn’t speak. Still, your heart swelled to think that he trusts you with this secret. He could have easily pushed you away, growled at you until you left, but he didn’t. And to find out that he has the same feelings for you that you have harbored for him was an added bonus you didn’t think you’d ever find out about.
You reached the diner and ordered dinner for you and Viktor. It didn’t take too long before you were on your way back to the lab, food in hand. You unlocked the doors and reentered. Perhaps not too surprisingly Viktor was at his desk attempting to work. It was a rather funny sight. A large wolf man hunched over, a tiny pencil in his large paw hand, attempting to write down calculations. It didn’t look like he was having much success with writing, but he looked very determined. You saw his ear flick, a sure sign that he heard you come in. “You really don’t take a break do you?”
He huffed with a smile and turned his stool towards you. You walked to him and held out the takeout box containing his steak. “Your dinner sir” You mocked the voice of a fancy waiter, hoping to create a light mood. Viktors nostrils flared as he inhaled the scent of the meat. He grabbed the container from you, laid on the floor not too far from his desk, and tore the box open.
You blinked in surprise at the sight. “Alright. Guess I’ll take the desk then.” You mumbled to yourself. You opened your takeout container, which contained a cheeseburger and some fries, and started to eat in silence. You took a quick look down towards Viktor. He was devouring the steak rather quickly and in a very animalistic fashion. You turned your attention back to your own food, but something didn’t sit quite right with you about Viktors actions.
After a few bites you heard a low growling from next to you. Ever so slowly you turned the stool towards him. Viktor had completely decimated the takeout container and everything in it, and now his attention was turned towards you. His eyes darted between you and the half eaten burger you held in your hand. “What you want my burger too?” His low growling continued and he slowly stalked closer. “Viktor if this is supposed to be a joke it’s not funny.”
He placed his pawed hands onto your thighs and hoisted himself up between your legs. His face neared yours and his hands squeezed your thighs below. Your breath hitched and as embarrassing as it was, you could feel yourself becoming aroused by his touch. You did your best to toss the burger away from you in hopes he would chase it, squeezed your eyes shut, and waited.
His weight receded from you quickly and you dared to open your eyes back up, not quite sure what had just happened. However, Viktor was not near the discarded food like you thought he’d be. Instead he sat, back to you, near the wall.
He’d hoped with all his might that you wouldn’t come towards him. He didn’t want you to see him in this sorry state. The smell around you from earlier in the day had returned, and just as before it caused him to react. Unfortunately this time he didn’t have the cloth of his pants to cover it. His dick had gone erect, sliding out of its canine sheath.
You looked at him, wondering if he had returned to a more human consciousness. Something in his body language told you he did. “Viktor?” You asked and stood up. “What happened to you just now?”
He didn’t react and you dared to get closer to him. He heard your footsteps just behind him and let out a loud Woof! It shocked you for a moment. Still, you reached out and touched his shoulder. He quickly turned and shoved his snout towards your crotch. An impulsive act that Viktor felt terrible about, but your smell was just overwhelming. He couldn’t possibly keep himself away from you.
You yelped in surprise and he pulled himself away nearly just as fast, covering his nose with his paws. You were left very confused, and embarrassingly turned on by his actions.
Tumblr media
Then you looked down and saw his erect penis. Your face went red, but all the pieces seemed to fit into place in your head. Just now, he could smell your own arousal and it triggered an instinct in him. He looked so ashamed of himself, the way he couldn’t even look at you and his body was trembling. “I-It’s ok.” You tried to console him, but you found yourself suddenly very nervous. “I, um, I’m sorry. It was me right? You could… smell it?” You bit your bottom lip and waited for a reaction. He glanced at you with the saddest eyes you’ve ever seen on him. “If you-if you need some time alone…” You averted your own eyes from him. “I could come back in an hour or so?” You dared to look back, just to see him nod.
You slowly walked towards the door with shaking legs. “I will come back. I promise” You had to let him know that this small interaction didn’t upset you. You couldn’t leave if you thought he would be upset with himself for another action that he couldn’t control due to his animal instinct.
On the other side of the lab door you run into Jayce, almost literally, carrying a bag with a takeout container in it. That would’ve been one hell of an awkward situation to explain if he had come in. “Jayce! You, uh don’t want to go in there.” You had no idea if Viktor had told him or not, but either way Viktor was a bit preoccupied right now.
Jayce sighed. “So you found out about him huh? Well, it was bound to come out sooner or later. Don’t worry though, he knows me and won’t hurt me.” Jayce tried to push past you, but you wouldn’t budge.
“No!” You spread your arms to the side to block him, though your short stature didn’t do much to help.
“No?” He cocked his head to the side.
“He um… kind of needs some time alone.” You avert your eyes from him.
“Oh?”
You lowered your arms and used your hands to crudely mimic the motion of jacking off. A harsh blush finding its way to your cheeks.
“Oh!” Jayce backed away from you and rubbed the back of his neck. “You found out about that too huh?”
“About… what… exactly?”
Jayce grimaced and looked away from you. “Well this afternoon Viktor said he smelled something on you that kinda turned him on. I was just guessing thats what happened now”
“A smell?” You thought about this afternoon and nothing struck you as out of the ordinary. You weren’t wearing any different perfume, and you don’t remember being aroused at all. Then you thought of your morning and it hit you like a truck. “I have to go.” You blurted out and took off before Jayce could say a word.
It couldn’t have lingered all morning could it? You thought to yourself. You remembered back to the morning before work. You had woken up from a particularly steamy dream, one containing a certain scientist that you knew. It had left you feeling very horny and you felt that you had no choice but to pleasure yourself. You had cleaned up afterwards, but could the scent have lingered on you? It was embarrassing to even consider! And if Jayce found out that was what the scent was? You don’t think you could ever show your face in the lab again.
You pushed your way through the door to your apartment in a huff. You checked the clock in your kitchen and took a mental note of the time. Just an hour and then you would go back to the lab and hopefully not disturb Viktor in the process. You leaned against the kitchen counter and tried to figure out how to pass the time. If scent was an issue then maybe a shower would wash it off, if that was even possible. It couldn’t hurt anyway.
So you made your way to the bathroom, turned on the shower, and hopped into the steaming hot water. You had hoped to wash off the scent of arousal, but the shower seemed to be having an opposite effect. You couldn’t stop thinking about Viktor, and not as a wolf but as a man. The mere thought of him getting hard for you made your pussy ache to be touched.
You reached your hand down and began to rub your clit. The stimulation was just what you needed. But it wasn’t enough, you needed more. You knelt to the ground and let two of your fingers find their way inside of your aching pussy. You thrust into yourself, letting thoughts of Viktor could your mind. Of his cock inside you while he praised your every move. Before you knew it you found the sweet relief you were craving, perhaps a bit sooner than you’d expected.
“Shit.” You let out a shakey breath and raised yourself back to your feet. Well, maybe the shower will wash away the scent. You thought. After taking a moment to compose yourself you actually got to the point of your shower, cleaning yourself.
You shut off the water and went to your room to get dressed. You opted for a clean button up shirt and a plain knee length black skirt. Your attire was much more casual than what you had been wearing earlier. After you were dressed you briefly stopped at your dresser and looked over some of your assorted perfumes on top of it. You picked one up and spritzed it above you, letting the scent of vanilla waft over you. With luck even if the shower didn’t help the perfume would cover anything. Feeling better about everything now you exited your room and looked at the kitchen clock.
You still had about half an hour to kill before you could return to the lab. Remembering that you didn’t exactly get to finish your dinner, you decided to whip up a quick snack. As you ate you contemplated staying the night at the lab with Viktor. Sure it might be considered moving fast since you had just found out about your feelings for one another, but you had more questions and your curiosity wouldn’t let up. If you stayed the night then you could ask your questions as soon as he was human again. At least that was the excuse you gave yourself. Really you didn’t want to leave Viktor alone, and you actually wanted to spend more time with him now that your feelings were out in the open.
You quickly finished your snack and grabbed a bag to pack some things in. A couple of pillows and some blankets should suffice. The lab did have a couch tucked away for when Viktor stayed late, but having some extra pillows would make it much comfier. There was still about 10 minutes before the hour was up, but the walk back to the lab should take about that long anyway. You put on your black flats, slung the bag of blankets over your shoulder, and headed back to the lab.
When you reached your destination you knocked on the door before unlocking it. “Viktor, Im back! I’m going to come in now.” You said before slowly opening the door.
Viktor was back at his desk as though nothing had happened. You would gladly put off mentioning the earlier events until Viktor could actually talk about it with you. He let out a small and rather quiet Awoo as a hello. You smiled and tried your hardest not to make an audible noise at how cute the sound he made was. You went over to the couch and placed your bag on it to busy yourself. He was staring at you when you turned around. He cocked his head to the side questioningly.
You glanced at your bag and back to him before nervously rubbing the back of your neck. “So, I thought I may stay the night here. I mean, if it’s alright with you that is! I brought some extra blankets and pillows with me…”
Viktor made a disapproving noise and your heart sank a little. “Oh, you’re right, it probably wasn’t a good idea.”
Woof! Viktor barked at you to oppose your statement. Now you felt like you were getting mixed signals. You must have had a confused look on your face because Viktor ran a paw over his own face. He made several noises that sounded like he was trying to speak, but in the end just wound up whining. His paws reached for his head and ruffled the longer fur around his ears in frustration.
“Hey! Hey! It’s ok!” You coddled as you ran up to him. You took his hands in your own so he would stop fidgeting with his fur. “I was just getting some mixed signals is all. Let’s figure this out together. Would you like me to stay the night?”
Viktor took a moment before he nodded in response.
“But you think it might be a bad idea?”
He nodded again.
“Are you worried about what happened earlier?”
This time he looked away before nodding. You could tell he felt bad about his actions. You let go of his hands and decided to pull a stool up in front of him to sit on. You wanted this conversation to wait until later, but it seemed like fate had other plans.
“I saw Jayce as I was leaving. He told me about earlier today, with the whole my scent “turning you on” thing.” Viktor visibly cringed to hear that. You placed a hand over his own. “You don’t need to worry about that. Sure, it caught me off guard at first, but it’s natural for that sort of thing to happen with someone you’re attracted to. I promise you I don’t think any less of you, and it won’t bother me if it happens again.”
Viktor felt frustrated instead of relieved at your statement. Jayce had said practically the same thing to him earlier, but he still felt so awkward. Even if you were both enamored with each other, he still didn’t fully understand this feeling. And perhaps what bothered him most was that he didn’t know if it was coming from the curse or it was actually his own feelings.
With his hesitancy to answer you decided to continue. You removed your hand from his and swallowed nervously before deciding to say your next words. “And to be fair, it’s not like you were the only one that was having a physical reaction. It’s just that it’s more visible on a man. You, um, well even the thought of you can sometimes, well it…” it was your turn to look away in embarrassment. “It makes me wet.” You whispered. You hoped your own confession would make Viktor feel a bit better about his predicament. This time he reached for your hand. When you looked at him you could tell that you had helped. His eyes were soft, like they were thanking you for understanding.
You smiled in response and quickly changed the subject. “So, if you’re alright with it, can I stay with you tonight?”
Viktor nodded to you. He then turned and patted the table beside him. You moved your stool closer and sat next to him. He pointed to the journal in front of him.
You looked down at it to see a lot of numbers scribbled on the page. They looked like they had been written by a preschooler “You’re trying to do calculations for the Hexclaw? Right now?”
Boof. He huffed. He handed you the pencil he had been trying to use when you walked in.
You laughed but took the pencil regardless. “If you want me to help solve this, I’m going to have to rewrite everything.” You stood up to retrieve the journal you had left earlier. Viktor let out a low disapproving growl. “I’m sorry, but those numbers look like they were written by a 4 year old” you laughed. Viktor was not fond of that comment. Sitting back down, you patted his shoulder. “It’s not your fault. It can’t be easy writing with such large paws.” Viktor sighed in defeat. You were right after all.
He sat and watched as you rewrote his calculations in far more legible handwriting. From there you worked to try and solve them. Viktor attempted to help as best as he could, but the communication barrier quickly became an issue. He would growl or whine when you didn’t understand the number he wanted you to write, or if you got a calculation wrong, or if he got frustrated that he couldn’t explain an epiphany he just had. You tired your best for the better half of an hour but ultimately decided that it was a doomed collaboration.
You placed the pencil down and sighed. “Viktor I think we both know this isn’t working very well. I know you want to keep working but maybe this is a sign to take a night off.”
Viktor huffed in disapproval and grabbed the pencil you had set down. He tried desperately to write, but nothing came out legible. It only frustrated him more and he banged his paws on the table to prove it.
You had seen him get this angry before, but it was a rare occurrence reserved only for failed experiments and calculations. You placed a hand over one of his paws. “Hey, you’re brilliant. Don’t forget that. Whatever you thought of will still be in that big brain of yours tomorrow.” Viktor grumbled a bit at how right you were. You stood up to lean over him and kiss his forehead. “For now, I think it would be best to step away from your work. You can get back to it bright and early tomorrow.”
Viktor sighed and closed his eyes for a moment. His mind was trying to come to terms with what you had said, and how you made many good points. He finally opened his eyes again and nodded to you. He got off the stool and got onto all fours to walk to the couch. You followed closely behind him.
Viktor waited for you to set up the pillows and blankets you had brought before he crawled onto the couch. He laid down as he normally would, but being so tall in his werewolf state, his legs dangled off the end. Thankfully even though he was technically larger, Viktor was still rather thin. There was plenty of room for you to lay down beside him. So you nervously did just that, crawling up right beside him after kicking off your shoes. He took the large blanket you had set on the top of the couch and spread it over of the both of you before wrapping his arms around your torso. He pulled you in tight and rested his head on top of your own. The close proximity caused you to blush. Viktor was being far more forward than he had been earlier. Maybe your conversation earlier had cleared away any doubts in his mind.
You found his soft and warm fur against you comforting but at the same time completely nerve racking. You didn’t expect that Viktor would be spooning you on the couch. Sure, you’d hoped the night might end like this, but you definitely expected to be sleeping alone on the couch.
The light snoring behind you signaled that Viktor had fallen asleep. You can’t say that you were surprised that he was able to pass out so quickly. He always looked so exhausted. You tried to calm your nerves, focusing on the comforting things around you. The slow and steady breathing of Viktor, his arms hugging you around your midsection, the warmth of his body against your own. Eventually it paid off and you too nodded off to sleep.
It was around dawn when you were awoken by Viktor stirring behind you. He groaned as his body began to shift back into his human form. His whines of pain garnered your attention and you turned over. You were still half asleep, but in some attempt to soothe him you pulled him into a tight hug so that he was now the little spoon. His cries subsided soon after, replaced by staggered breathing and small whimpers. The change back seemed to be far less extreme than his change last night. Once he had completed his transformation back to human form he quickly fell back into a deep sleep, his whole body exhausted from the shift.
The next time you were woken was later in the morning when the lab doors fell closed with a loud CLANG! It startled you right awake and you shot upright. Viktor seemed unfazed, but rolled towards you when he noticed the lack of your body heat against him. He wrapped his arms around your waist and nuzzled his face into your side.
“Woah, what’s going on here?” Jayce asked when he saw the two of you.
“We-Uh…” You searched your brain for something to say but for some reason nothing seemed to come to mind in your groggy state. Viktor however was fully coherent for just having woken up.
“It was a good nights sleep for once, until you came in making all of that noise.” He commented, his eyes still shut as though he were attempting to get more sleep.
“Oh, sorry.” Jayce rubbed the back of his neck out of guilt for a moment. He then lifted a paper bag that he held in his other hand. “I did bring you some breakfast though.”
Viktor finally leaned up next to you and rubbed his eyes. “Thank you.” He grumbled.
Jayce made his way across the lab and to a rather empty desk. “I didn’t grab anything for Y/N, sorry about that. If I had known you were staying the night with him I would have.”
“It’s alright. I can go and grab something-“ You stopped your sentence to yawn, “-when I’m more awake.” Jayce simply nodded at you in understanding.
“Jayce, could you bring me my crutch?” Viktor asked. Getting the hint you scooted to the side to allow Viktor access to stand. He pulled his legs from your shared blanket to sit beside you while he waited for Jayce’s response.
“Sure. I’m assuming you want your clothes too?” Jayce asked as he made his way to the items Viktor had discarded the night prior.
Viktor suddenly became flustered upon the realization that he was in fact completely naked. He pulled the large blanket from behind you and attempted to cover himself. “Oh, yes, that-um-that would be preferred.”
Jayce gave a quick chuckle at his reaction. He returned Viktors items to him. You averted your eyes to give Viktor the privacy he needed to get dressed. You only returned your gaze to him once you heard the clinking of his crutch against the ground.
Viktor took a seat at the desk where Jayce had placed his breakfast. He opened the takeout bag and let out a content sigh at the smell of freshly cooked eggs and bacon from the container within. He took out the container and some plastic utensils and slowly began to eat. “I’m sure you have many questions Y/N.” He said between bites.
“Perhaps I do have a couple…” you teased as you walked over to the desk to take a seat beside him.
“Now that I can speak again I will gladly answer any. However,” Viktor stopped and put down his utensils. He looked at you, his brows were knitted together with concern but the remainder of his face was serious. “I would like to apologize for everything I did last night. I would never want to make you feel uncomfortable. And now that I can say it with my own voice…” he briefly glanced towards Jayce, who was trying to act as nonchalant as possible but was very clearly listening. “… I love you, Y/N”
Viktors cheeks flushed red. It was an adorable sight. You smiled and placed a hand to his cheek. Leaning forward you pressed your lips to his cheek for a soft kiss. “I love you too, Viktor.” You said once you had pulled away. “And I promise you didn’t make me uncomfortable.” You chuckled.
Viktor smiled in response. He took a deep breath to ready himself. “So your questions?”
“Right. I guess we should start with how you became a werewolf? Were you born one? Bitten by one?”
“Neither actually…” Viktors gaze trailed off as the memories came flooding back.
You were taken aback with confusion. “How is that possible?”
“It happened when I was young, maybe 13 or so. I met someone in the Undercity. For a while I helped him take care of a creature with a rare mutation, the goal was to help it survive. In turn he offered his help to me, promising that he could find a way to help me with my leg. As a child the prospect being able to walk unaided was enticing, and I happily accepted. I had no idea that his plan involved using the blood from a werewolf to try and trigger some form of healing capability within me. He had told me it was a serum he formulated. I don’t even know where he got werewolf blood from…” you could tell the memory was getting to Viktor. You placed a comforting hand on his shoulder and he heaved out a sigh of relief before continuing. “After injecting the serum into my leg, I changed into a wolf. I have no memory of what happened directly after the transformation, but I remember suddenly being terrified. I didn’t know what was happening, and by the time I regained my human form my body ached more than ever. My leg was still the same, and I had almost hurt the man who promised to help me. Everything about that day haunts me to think about”
You leaned into Viktor and rubbed comforting circles on his arm “That’s just awful Viktor. I am so sorry, if I had known I wouldn’t have asked.”
“It’s alright. I’ve come to terms with being a werewolf now. I’ve learned how to adapt and hide it.”
“Do you blame him? The man I mean.”
Viktor shook his head. “Not anymore. There were other circumstances that drew us apart, but I have come to understand that he was only trying to help me.”
You withdrew your hand from Viktors arm and placed it onto your own. You lightly stroked where the gauze wrapped scratches laid under your sleeves. “Viktor… There’s something else I want to ask.” Your voice held quite a bit of concern. So much so that it worried Viktor.
“What is it?”
“I know I kept saying not to worry about scratching me last night, but I can’t help but wonder… Will these scratches turn me into a werewolf too?” You didn’t want Viktor to blame himself if he did turn you, but the question wouldn’t stop itching at the back of your mind.
Viktor turned away from you and his breath caught in his throat. “Would you hate me if it did?” His voice came out hoarse. Exactly what you hoped he wouldn’t feel, he ended up feeling anyway. Guilt.
You quickly grasped his arm. “No! Of course not! Viktor, I could never hate you! I just- I want to be prepared if it does happen.”
Viktor looked towards you and you could see the uncertainty in his eyes. “Honestly,” His voice still shook as he spoke, “I am not sure what will happen.”
You nodded your head in understanding. “Then I suppose we will just have to wait until the next full moon…”
The next month came and went in the blink of an eye. You and Viktor had become quite the loving couple, but as the days got closer to the full moon Viktor became increasingly nervous for you. Of course your nerves were also anxiously high, but you hid it well. Neither of you knew what the full moon would bring, and neither of you were sure of which outcome you truly wanted. If you didn’t turn then Viktor wouldn’t feel guilty about subjecting you to the same curse as him, you could continue your days as a human. But if you did turn then the curse was something special that the two of you could share with each other.
As you stood in the lab waiting for the full moon to rise, an excitement began to swell within you.
“Whatever happens, I am here for you my love.” Viktor held your hand and gave you a quick kiss before he retreated towards his desk to prepare for the change.
You didn’t watch him change this time. Instead you stood and waited, staring at the moon through the laboratory window. As the sounds of his transformation began to subside you thought that you were in the clear.
But suddenly a strained cry escaped your lips and you doubled over, a sharp pain resonated from your spine as it began to stretch and change. You whimpered and clawed at the linoleum tile beneath you as your hands stretched and shifted, long claws growing from your fingertips.
Having finished his change, Viktor took a moment to break away from his animal instinct. Once his mind was clear he looked to see you in pain on the ground. He rushed to your side, letting out soft whimpers to let you know he was there. Viktor knew very well that there was nothing he could do to help you through the pain, but he’d be damned if he left you to go through it alone.
Your pain got worse as your legs began to shift. They felt like they were breaking as they started to take on a digitigrade form. Viktor pressed his form against you in some attempt to comfort you. You continued to whine in pain, your form growing larger as you took on a more canine physique. Your face began to push  forward into a canine muzzle. The final change came with a spread of fur covering the length of your body. You let out one last whine of pain before slumping down, your breath heaving.
When you could finally work up the strength to get onto your feet the whole world felt strange. You staggered on all fours and shook off your tattered clothes, your senses on overdrive. Every sound was too loud. Every scent was too strong. You whimpered and growled, trying to gain your bearings, to remember who you really were.
Viktor rubbed against you to try and calm you. You leaned into his touch and focused on him. The way he smelled of coffee and charcoal. How his body felt warm and safe against yours. You felt yourself begin to settle into this new normal. Viktor nuzzled your face to check on you. You sat on all fours and nuzzled him back. Your tail began to thump on the floor with pleasure. You looked at Viktor and your tail stopped at the sight of his face. He looked so guilty.
You brought a paw up to his face to let him know everything was ok. As long as Viktor was with you everything would be ok. You let out a small Awoo and caused Viktor to crack a smile. He gave a small howl back. You gave a wolfish grin and howled even louder.
A moment later Jayce came through the doors to the lab. “Geez Viktor, do you want the whole academy to know about you? Oh…” Jayces eyes went wide at the sight of not one, but two wolves in front of him. “Well, I guess you figured out what happens when you scratch someone. Good thing I got two of these just in case.” Jayce took out a takeout container and threw the contents of it on the ground. To rare steaks hit the floor not too far from you. “Enjoy your dinner, and try not to let the whole of Piltover know that Hextech is harboring werewolves.” He chuckled as he left the two of you to your dinner. The full moons wouldn’t seem so bad now that the two of you had each other to share them.

Hexed [Viktor x Reader]
Summary: The Hexcore accidentally casts a spell over you that only Viktor can fix
Warnings: Masturbation, Sex (P in V)
Tumblr media
Viktor fiddles with the Hexcore as you stand by to take notes on its reactions. As an assistant for Hextech it is your job to help Jayce and Viktor with anything they need. The Hexcore whirls to life in front of you and Viktor before landing on a specific set of runes. You lift your pencil, ready to take notes, when a flash of light bursts from the Hexcore and zaps directly into you. The force of the blast knocks you right onto your ass.
Viktor is quick to spin on his stool and grab his crutch to rush you your side. “Miss Y/N! Are you alright?!”
You lean up with a groan. “I’m fine. Just got the wind knocked out of me.” Viktor nods at you in understanding and offers his hand to help you up. You take his hand and he helps lift you to your feet. “Thank you.” You wobble a bit when you try to take a step towards the desk.
“Careful.” Viktor says as he catches hold of your shoulder.
“Maybe I should sit down.” You suggest, suddenly feeling a bit woozy. Viktor helps you over to the desk and you lean on it while he goes to fetch a stool for you. You breath begins to hasten with the increased pounding of your heart. ‘What is going on?’ You think to yourself before your own thoughts start to become hazy. A strange feeling begins to wash over you. A hand is placed on your shoulder and it grounds you, bringing your thoughts back to a half coherent manner.
“Take a seat miss Y/N, you look a bit faint. I’ll figure out what the Hexcore did to you, but please be patient.” All you can manage is a small nod in response. Viktor helps ease you down onto the stool he had brought over. He then takes a seat beside you and begins to scrawl out the runes that had aligned on the Hexcore.
You gaze up at him and something starts to stir within you. Absentmindedly you begin to grind yourself against the stool, the friction feeling incredible on your increasingly wet cunt. You try to stifle a moan through your staggered breaths. “Viktor. Something is wrong with me.” You whine.
He turns towards you in response and a harsh blush crosses his face to see what you’re doing. “M-miss Y/N!”
“I’m sorry, I can’t help it! It’s like my body has a mind of its own.” You cry out.
Viktor takes a Deep breath to compose himself “Don’t worry. I will figure out what’s wrong” A moment later you find yourself jumping into his lap and surprising him right with a deep kiss, one that, to you, he shockingly returns. You grind yourself against him, feeling his cock become hard against your folds. “Y-Y-N!” He stammers out when you break from this kiss to breathe. Soon enough your lips find his once more. Viktor finds himself squirming with pleasure underneath you. Deep moans catch in his throat as you bombard him with kisses and tease his cock.
You didn’t hear it open, but you certainly hear the lab door slam shut as Jayce entered the room. You only glance up, but your body continues it’s motions. Viktors eyes widen at the sight of his partner. “Oh! Sorry, I’ll um… I’ll just leave you two alone.” Jayce says and quickly turns on his heels to leave.
Viktor quickly takes your shoulders to force you away from his face. “Jayce! Wait!” He shouts. You try to force your lips back onto his, but Viktor holds you at arms length and you whimper. “Please, we need to find a way to fix this” he whispers to you and tucks a loose strand of hair behind your ear. You look longingly at him, a deep sadness in your eyes, but surprisingly obey him and slide off of his lap and back to your stool.
Viktor picks himself up, grabs the paper with the runes he had written down, and makes his way towards Jayce, who had turned away from the two of you in the doorway of the room. “Something happened.”
“I can see that.” Jayce says back.
“It is not what you think Jayce.”
“Oh isn’t it? Because it looks like you finally told Y/N your feelings and it went really well.” Jayces teases.
Viktor groans in response and holds out the rune covered paper. “It was the Hexcore. These runes aligned and it shot something at her that is making her act… different.”
Jayce looks over the paper and wanders towards his desk. Viktor follows behind and watches as he begins to sort through several books. Finally Jayce lands on one and begins to look through its pages. “It’s possible this combination of runes activated a spell when put in combination with the Hexgem inside of the Hexcore.”
“You think that book will have the answer?” Viktor moves next to his partner and looks down at the book.
“In theory. It is a book of spells after all”
Viktor hums in response. Jayce quietly continues to leaf through the book while Viktor spares a glance back towards you to make sure you are ok.
In his absence you had shed most of your clothes and now sat in your bra and underwear. You hands were now shoved down your panties, vigorously rubbing at your clit.
Viktor quickly looks away, feeing the heat rising to his cheeks. “Have, ahem, have you found anything yet?”
“Ah here we go! It looks like those runes together cause a spell of overwhelming… lust.” Jayces eyes go wide at what he reads.
“Well is there a counter spell?”
Jayce continues to read further before he gives his answer. “No there isn’t. It says the only way to break the spell is for the afflicted to…” he squints closer at the words and after a moment looks over at Viktor, his own cheeks turning pink.
“What does it say Jayce?” Viktor asks, but something about Jayces expression makes him nervous.
“The afflicted has to be brought to orgasm by the one they desire most.”
Viktors face burns ever hotter at the thought of being the one you desire. As if on cue you moan out his name. The two men turn towards you. Jayce immediately looks away when he sees you, but Viktor continues to look. His eyes meet yours and you whine out to him. “Please, Viktor. I need you!”
Jayce gives his partner a pat on the shoulder and clears his throat. “I guess it’s up to you then. I’ll give you two some privacy” He makes a swift exit from the lab, leaving Viktor to stare at you.
Viktor can hear his heartbeat in his ears. He hesitantly takes a step forward. His thoughts begin to race in all directions. Each step brings him closer to you. To a desire that he has had for so long, but did not have the courage to pursue. Now here you are begging for him. You need him. And given the state of the bulge in his pants, he needs you all the same.
He’s standing in front of you now and you whine for him. He places a gentle kiss to your forehead. “I am here. You can have me.” He whispers. He pulls down his pants and boxers, letting his dick fall loose. “You’re in this state because of what I did, and I’m so sorry for that.”
Your entire body feels like it’s burning up. It takes everything in your power to not immediately push Viktor to the ground and fuck the hell out of him. Viktor lowers himself to the ground. He reaches for your recently discarded blouse and skirt and balls them up into a makeshift pillow. He lays back onto the ground and presents himself to you. You whine and squirm in your seat at the sight of him.
“You can have your way with me Y/N. I want you to.” Viktor says. You don’t think you’ve ever moved faster in your life than in this moment. You strip off your remaining clothes as fast as you can and get on top of him.
You shudder as you slowly lower yourself onto his dick. Each inch reaching further inside of you has you moaning louder and louder. Once his entire length is inside you rise back up before coming down onto him again. You ride Viktor at a steady pace and his own moans begin to pick up. His hands grasp at your thighs, squeezing your ample flesh. But it’s not enough. He wants more of you in his hands.
“Y/N. I need to touch you. I need more of you!” He says through heavy breaths. You look down at him. “Get on the desk. It’s my turn to fuck you.”
You nod and rise off of his cock, letting it slide out of your dripping wet cunt. As he had ordered you get onto the desk and spread your legs for him. He gets to his feet and moves between your legs, wasting no time sticking his dick back inside you. You wrap your legs around him as he starts to thrust into you. His hands work their way over your body, feeling and squeezing every inch of you that he can. Viktors lips find yours in a heated kiss. Though you were the one under the spell, it’s seems that Viktors own lust had become insatiable. The kiss parts for a moment and Viktor whispers into your ear. “You’ve no idea how long I’ve been wanting this. Wanting you.”
His kisses move down your neck and you moan out his name. Once he finds a sweet spot you pull his head in closer, entangling your fingers in his hair. You squeeze fistfuls of his mahogany locks in your hands, lightly tugging as his thrusting gets faster and faster. A heat finds it’s way from your core all the way to your toes. You are close to a climax, and Viktor is as well. Your walls clench around his cock and you let out a pleasurable cry. Feeling his own orgasm coming as well, Viktor pulls out, letting himself cum onto the floor, rather than inside of you.
You let yourself fall back onto the desk, breathing heavily and basking in the afterglow of the whole ordeal. Viktor gives himself a moment of reprieve as well. His mind can’t even comprehend what just happened, and how blissful he now felt. After a few moments he puts his pants back on and looks endearingly at you. He places a soft kiss to your thigh and you look up at him. “I’m going find something to clean up this mess. Relax, and I’ll be right back.” He coos.
Once Viktor walks away you quietly crawl off of the desk and retrieve your clothes. Slowly you redress yourself, but as you get to buttoning up your shirt small sobs falls from your mouth. You cover your mouth in an attempted to dull the sound, but your cries continue.
Upon his return he sees you crying. He drops the cleaning supplies and rushes to your side. “Y/N! What’s wrong?!”
“I’m so embarrassed! Everything I did, how I acted, I’m so sorry! I would- I would never just-” You cry.
Viktor tightly embraces you. “There’s nothing to be sorry for. You were under a spell, you couldn’t help it.”
You continue to sob into his chest as he lightly strokes your hair. “If I had tried harder to resist-”
“I don’t think it was possible to resist. Magic is unpredictable.” Viktor sighs and pulls back to smile at you. “Despite it all, you were perfect in every way.” He wipes a tear from your cheek and takes your hand in his own. “And now you’ve finally given me the courage to say what I’ve felt for quite some time now. I love you Y/N.”
You look up at him through tear filled eyes and smile. “I love you too Viktor.”
Viktor chuckles to himself. “And eh, if ever you want me, you need only ask.”
You laugh as well. “Good to know.” You squeeze his hand tighter. “And if you ever want me, the same can be said. Just try not to put a spell on me this time.”
“I’ll try not to!”

Melody [Viktor x Reader]
So for those who don’t know, I am kind of into the Love Live fandom and like school idols. The songs are so catchy and I love the dancing! So heres my obligatory idol AU.
Synopsis: An enchanting song brings Viktor and Jayce to discover a budding idol group in Piltover. Viktor may just be taken by one of the singers sweet singing.
Warnings: None!
youtube
The song in this fic is this one. All lyrics belong to 9 Mermaids. The reader sings for Ruby (the one with the red hair and pigtails)
Tumblr media
The leaves rustled lightly through the late summer breeze of Piltover Academy. School had returned to session not more than a week ago, but all of the students were already studying hard. The common areas of the academy campus were overrun with students of all majors exchanging information and working on projects. Not long ago Viktor was one of those students.
He and his partner Jayce recently founded their own company, Hextech, and were currently working on a new device that could use magic to transport objects. After a particularly bad failed attempt Jayce had called for a break. Viktor preferred to keep working on the issues with their project, but Jayce insisted.
The two went out for coffee at a nearby shop and after spending about 10 minutes sitting in the shop they decided to go back to work. Why? Well, Viktor wouldn’t stop talking about what went wrong and how they could fix it.
“I’m not going to get that brain of yours to take a break am I?” Jayce had said.
“No I don’t think you will.” Viktor had rebutted.
And so they were now on their way back to the lab. However, Jayce had convinced Viktor to at least take the scenic route.
A gentle melody could be heard as the two men strolled down the empty path. It was strange that anybody would even be back towards this part of campus, usually it was deserted. As the two men rounded the corner they caught sight of a young woman in the grass beside the path.
It looked as though she was practicing some sort of performance. Her H/C hair was tied up and flowing in the breeze with every movement she made. The music on her small record player slowed, as did her dancing. After a few measures of music she started to sing “But when I recall how we said our goodbyes…” she waited again for several measures.
Jayce and Viktor quietly walked closer, but not enough to disturb her. Her voice was sweet and smooth as she sang. “Though it hurts me!” Her hand raised to the sky and she looked at it. With each passing beat it moved before she finally brought it back down in front of her. “Far away, you’re far away, and I miss you everyday! So I’ll drink your favorite tea, and hope you’re missing me.”
Jayce was enjoying the performance, but surprisingly it had Viktor entranced. He didn’t usually listen to music like that, it had such a catchy and youthful sound. And this girl, it was as though she embodied everything about that song. Her youthful and admittedly cute face caught his eye. Her sweetness filled his heart with a feeling he couldn’t explain. It almost felt unnatural to him. He who always put his work first, who’s mind was always thinking, the gears in his brain always turning. But now those gears had stopped completely with her enchanting melody.
The music slowed and she ended her song with the final words “Thank you very much!” And in the silence Viktor was left staring.
“Damn I messed up that breakdown again!” She mumbled to herself and ran her hands down her face in frustration. “Ok! Maybe if I run it again I’ll get it this time.”
Before she even had the chance to restart her backtrack she was caught off guard by the sound of clapping. Her head whipped to the left to see two men standing on the path clapping for her performance.
“That was amazing! Are you doing some sort of show?” Jayce asked.
His question was met with the mysterious girl letting out an adorable squeak as her face contorted with terror. She quickly scooped up her bag that had been discarded nearby and ran as fast as she could.
“Wait!” Jayce shouted after her. “You forgot your-“ he picked up the small record player. “This is the smallest music device I’ve ever seen.” He commented.
**********
‘How long were they standing there? Did they see everything? This is so embarrassing!’ Your thoughts wouldn’t stop racing. Your heart thumped loudly in your chest as you ran back to your dorm room. You were in your last year at the Piltover Academy in their English program. This year you and your two friends, Mina and Anya, had decided to do something different. You decided to form an idol group together.
The idea came from seeing the popular idol Seraphine perform after last year’s graduation ceremony. So the three of you worked all summer to write songs for a concert to welcome the scholars of Piltover back the the academy, which you got permission to do of course. It seemed like a good idea at the time, and you loved performing, but being caught practicing by yourself was particularly embarrassing.
You slammed the door to your room closed behind you. You sighed as you walked over to your bed, placed your bag beside you, and sat down. “I knew I should have just practiced in here, but it was so nice out today.” You grumbled and ran your hand through your hair. You took a moment to calm your emotions before turning to your bag. “I still have work to do on my dancing so I might as well get back to it.” You dug in your bag for a bit, but each passing second filled you with more and more dread as your digging became more frantic. “Oh no. Where is it? Where is it?!”
*********
Jayce held the tiny musical contraption in his hand. He looked at it as he leaned back in the chair at his desk. “How are we going to get this back to her?”
“Clearly she’s a performer. The music department is probably your best bet in finding her.” Viktor commented before attempting to get back to his work. His brain was still riddled with thoughts of that song and that sweet voice of hers. He crumpled the paper full of equations he had been working on before tossing it aside.
“We should probably look for her together. Two heads are better than one.” Jayce suggested.
Viktor groaned at his lack of focus. “Clearly I’m not getting any work done anyway. So why not.”
“Oh? Something bothering you?” Jayce cocked an eyebrow at how easily Viktor gave in.
“I’m having trouble focusing. Some fresh air might clear my head.” Viktor grabbed his cane and walked beside his partner.
Jayce laughed before standing up himself. “We just got some fresh air.” Viktor rolled his eyes at Jayces comment. “You sure you’re not distracted by a certain mysterious songstress?”
“Perhaps the song was a little catchy.” Viktor admitted.
Jayce patted his partner on the back as he passed him to get to the door. “It was catchy.” Once the two men exited to make their way to the music department Jayce made another comment. “It sounded like something Caitlyn would listen to. She does like that other singer, Seraphine. Oh and that K/DA group, though their music isn’t as… bubblegum pop.”
“I don’t believe I’ve every heard of either group before.”
“Don’t worry I probably wouldn’t know them either if it wasn’t for Caitlyn.” Jayce laughed.
*********
You made your way back to where you were practicing, but much to your dismay the music player wasn’t there. “Ugh I bet those two guys took it.” You sighed. “We had it specially made too. Mina is going to kill me for losing it!”
You made the decision to go and tell your partners what happened. Hopefully with the three of you looking you’d be able to find the guys who most likely had it. Though you had run away so fast that you didn’t really get a good look at them. Who knew if you’d even be able to recognize them? Still, you’d have to confess your mistake to your friends first.
You ran to the music wing and entered the doors into the practice room where Mina and Anya were working on their singing. “Hey guys…” the tone in your voice was very suspicious.
“What happened?” Mina asked, her dark brown eyes scanning your figure.
“So I was practicing the dance outside earlier…” you looked at your feet and shifted in place.
“And?” Mina waved a hand, prompting you to continue.
“And I was kind of seen by these two guys-“
“Did they like it?! Did they have any critiques about the song?” Anya butted in enthusiastically. Mina shot her a judgmental look that pretty much told her to shut up.
“So here’s the thing. They kind of caught me off guard and I sort of ran away.” Mina scowled, not quite sure where this was going. You said your next words very quietly. “And I sort of left the music player and when I went back it was gone.”
“You what?!” Mina shouted.
“I know! I’m sorry!” You cried back.
“Y/N! We had that made specifically for us to do remote practicing! It was one of a kind!” Mina argued.
“It’s not like I meant to lose it! Maybe the two guys picked it up?”
“And how do you suppose we find them huh? You don’t know anything about them and it’s not like we have spare time to look for them!” Mina continued to shout.
*********
“The director of music studies said that music students might be practicing somewhere in this wing…” Jayce commented as he and Viktor entered into a long hallway.
“We can only hope she actually is here.” Viktor replied, his voice a little more eager than he had expected it to be.
Suddenly the two heard shouting from a nearby practice room. It was rather sneaky of them, but they looked through the door window.
“Well this is a lucky break.” Jayce commented.
Viktor hummed in response as his eyes widened, seeing her through the window. The cute face he remembered from the performance earlier was now fraught with worry as she argued with two other girls.
Jayce knocked on the door. Viktor whipped his head away from the window and towards his partner having not been expecting the sound.
“I’m sorry but we’re kind of in the middle of something right now. Whatever this is, can it wait?” A red haired girl with an unpleasant look on her sharp face said when she opened the door.
“We just need a moment to speak with your friend there.” Jayce pointed towards the girl with the H/C hair, whom he and Viktor were looking for.
The red haired girl narrowed her eyes as she scanned the two men in front of her. After a rather awkward minute she replied. “Fine. But don’t make it too long.” She turned back towards the music room. “Y/N! Some guys are here to talk to you.” As Y/N passed her red haired companion, Mina, she was scolded. “These better be the guys that have our music player or else you’re going to get it later.”
Y/N exited into the hallway to meet with the two men.
*********
“Ah hi. I’m Jayce and this is Viktor.” One of the men introduced themselves. You had to admit that he was a bit intimidating with how much larger he was than you. Thankfully he had a kind face that put your nerves at ease.
“I’m Y/N.” You replied. “What can I do for you?”
“We were wondering if this belonged to you?” Jayce held out a small music player… your music player.
You gawked at it. “Yes! Yes it does!” You eagerly took it from his hands. “I left it behind after my practice earlier. Thank you for bringing it back!”
“Not a problem at all!” Jayce replied with a dazzling smile. “Though I do have to wonder, where did you get such a small music device?”
“We, that is the idol group I’m a part of, commissioned an engineering student to make it for us.” You explained.
“An idol group? What is that exactly?” Viktor finally spoke up. His accent was intoxicating to your ears, it took you a moment to reply.
“It’s like a music group. W-we sing and dance, but it’s more than just about the music. Each of us has different feelings that we’d like our audience to feel while we perform.” You explained with a dreamy look in your eyes. “Anya wants to excite the crowd and leave them in high spirits. Mina wants to wow the audience, to give them a show they won’t forget. And me… I just want the audience to have fun and to feel the love that I have for performing.”
“The three of you seem very passionate.” Viktor smiled at you and leaned onto his cane, drawing his attention towards you.
“We are. We worked all summer on the performance we will be putting on this weekend. And now that we have this back we can really buckle down on practicing!” you held up the tiny music device for emphasis.
“Well I can’t wait to see it. How about you Viktor?” Jayce patted his partner on the back.
“I am not usually a fan of big crowds, but you do make it sound fun.” Viktor placed a hand on his chin in thought. “And after that preview we got earlier, I don’t think I’d want to miss out on the full performance.”
You blushed at his compliment. “Oh, well… thank you in advance for coming”
“Of course! We will see you this weekend!.” Jayce gave a hard pat on Viktors back as a sign to leave.
“Break a leg this weekend miss Y/N.” Viktor gave a smile and a small wave. With that, he and Jayce left.
You waited a moment before slowly reentering the practice room, a small smile plastered on your face. Your friends were right by the door, no doubt watching from the window and trying to listen in.
“So they had  it?”
“Ooo you’re smiling! What happened?” Mina and Anya statements conflicted each other in tone.
You held up your hand with the music player. “They kindly returned it. And they promised to come see our show this weekend.” You calmly said. Mina grabbed the music device from you and walked towards the piano in the corner of the room, leaving you near the door with Anya.
“And?” Anya took a step closer and raised her eyebrows, a childish grin crossing her lips.
“And?” Your brows furrowed in confusion.
“And you are blushing. What else happened?” Anya stepped even closer and spoke quieter. She was now in your personal bubble and it made you a bit uncomfortable.
“Nothing else happened.” You pushed away from her and began walking towards the piano. “One of them complimented my practice that’s all.”
Anya gasped very loudly and began to squeal. “That’s exciting! Which one said it? The big handsome one? No, he’s not your type. No way he’d get you blushing just from a compliment. So it must have been the other guy right? Do you like him?” Anya simply wouldn’t shut up and clearly it was getting on Minas nerves, given the furrowing of her brows.
“Alright let’s quit it with the gossip and start practicing. We’ve got a lot to do before this weekend.”
**********
“Good work. I think we’re ready for tomorrow night!” Mina clapped her hands together after the final run of your set.
“Yay! I am so excited!” Anya grabbed your hands and jumped with joy.
“Let’s not overwork ourselves though. Get a good nights sleep tonight ladies. Tomorrow we show this academy what we’ve got!” With Minas final words the three of you parted ways for the night.
On the way back to your dorm your growling stomach told you that a late night dinner was just what you needed. So, you made a plan in your head to go and get some takeout after a quick shower. Thankfully there was a small diner not too far off of campus that stayed open late.
You entered into the diner, refreshed from your shower. “Table for one?” The hostess asked.
“Just a takeout menu please” you responded. The young lady handed you the diners menu and you began to look it over.
“Welcome! Could I get you a table?” The hostess greeted another guest behind you as the bell above the door signaled their arrival.
“Ah, no thank you. I just need to order a coffee to go.” a familiar voice came from the man who was now standing beside you. You may have only met him once, but that accent was one you couldn’t forget. You lowered the menu and looked up at him. His eyes drifted down towards you before he turned to you. “Oh, hello. It was Y/N, right?”
You nodded at him. “Yeah. And you’re… Viktor, was it?”
“I am.” He gave a small smile that you happily returned. “So miss Y/N, what are you doing here so late?”
“I was going to get something to eat. Late night rehearsals tend to make one hungry.” You commented. Viktor hummed in reply. “I was going to get takeout, but maybe you’d like to join me?” You don’t know where you got the courage to ask him that, but with his answer you found that you were glad you did.
“I could use a break from the lab…” He murmured to himself before giving his actual answer, “Yes, I think I will join you.”
“Excuse me, miss!” You called out to the hostess who had been chatting with a waitress not too far from the podium near the door.
“Yes?” she responded and made her way back over to you.
“I could use that table after all. But make it a table for two.”
The two of you were seated by the window and menus were placed in front of you. Both of you thanked the waitress and got to chatting while looking over what to eat.
“So you know why I was out so late, but what about you?”
“Jayce and I have been hard at work developing a new form of technology. One that combines the Arcane with science and engineering. I have a habit of working very late into the night. This is one of the only places serving coffee this late.”
“Oh, that sounds very interesting. What sort of technology are you engineering?” You folded the menu down to look at him from across the table.
Viktor mimicked your motion before speaking to you again. “We are developing what we have decided to call a Hexgate. To put it simply, it utilizes runes and magic crystals to transport something between different places. We haven’t gotten it right just yet, but I believe we are close to a breakthrough! Once we get the Hexgates working, who knows what else we can create. I can only hope that we will be able to make a better world for Piltover and the Undercity alike.” Viktors eyes lit up when he talked about his work. His passion made your heart sing with joy. It very much reminded you of the inspiration you felt from Seraphines performance at the end of last semester.
“Are you two ready to order?” Your waitress cut in.
“Oh yes!” You replied. “I’ll have a water and a burger please. Medium rare… with a side of fries”
She jotted down your order before turning to Viktor. “And you sir?”
“Ah, just a coffee please. And a small slice of your apple pie.”
You both folded up your menus and handed them to the waitress. “I’ll get the order in for you.” She said before walking away.
“Not that hungry huh?” you commented.
“I did only come here for the coffee… but a small snack couldn’t hurt.” Viktor placed his elbows on the table and leaned onto his hands, an inquisitive look crossing his face. “So, what more can you tell me about this idol group of yours?”
“Well… The three of us formed it after seeing Seraphines concert last semester. Anya composes the music for us, since she’s majoring in music. Mina is majoring in theater so she choreographs our dances. And I write the lyrics. Oh, I’m an english major by the way.”
Viktor nodded in understanding. “You wrote that song you were singing the other day?”
“Yeah. I’ve always loved the idea of love and I wanted to write a song about it. I’m sure it’d feel more genuine if I actually had any experience with love, but the others like it so I guess it’s good enough.” You sighed and glanced out of the window into the streets of Piltover. “I wish I could connect with my own lyrics a bit more. Then I’m sure my performance would be even better.”
“Eh connection or not, I found your singing quite enchanting.”
You head whipped back towards Viktor at his compliment. “Y-you what?”
“I find the sound of your voice very sweet. In truth I could listen to you sing for hours.” Viktor looked at you with kind and compassionate eyes. It caught you off guard and left you gawking for a moment
“Viktor… Do you believe in love at first sight?” You averted your eyes as you asked.
Viktor leaned back in his seat and pondered the question. “As a scientist I am tempted to say no. Yet, something inside of me does believe in it.” He leaned forward once more and stared you down. “Why do you ask?”
“It’s just that, when we first met, I wasn’t just embarrassed to be caught practicing. I was worried that I may have made a fool out of myself in front of someone so… handsome.” You dared to sneak a glance up at Viktor, his cheeks held a dusting of blush on them. Taking it as a good sign you decided to continue. “And outside the music room… I found myself taken with you. If you think my voice is sweet then you have no idea just how intoxicating yours sounds.”
“You were taken with me?” Viktor was thoroughly surprised by what you were saying. He never even imagined that someone would be interested in him.
You nodded your head. “Yes. And your dedication and passion that you’ve described for your work, I must admit it’s only making me fall harder for you.”
Viktors face turned completely red. “I-“
“Order up!” The waitress returned with your food at the most inopportune time. She placed the plates down in front of the both of you and you could do nothing but awkwardly stare at them. “You two enjoy!”
You cleared your throat. “So, you- um- you were about to say something?”
“Right. Miss Y/N, if it is not too much trouble… I would very much like to take you out on a proper date. Perhaps after your concert tomorrow?”
“Yes!” You answered far too quickly. Viktor gave a small chuckle at your reaction. Clearing your throat you attempted to answer again with a little more self restraint. “I’d love to go on a date with you tomorrow night.”
A smile spread widely across Viktors face. “Wonderful! Do you have a favorite restaurant? Or somewhere you’d prefer to go?”
“I dont. So go ahead and surprise me!” You gave your answer with a glowing smile that made Viktors heart melt.
**********
Viktor and Jayce sat in the front row of the packed auditorium. The concert was free to attend, but Y/N had made sure to reserve special seats for them. Viktor couldn’t stop the excited butterflies in his stomach. He’d never been to a concert but he was itching to see how Y/N shined on stage.
Finally the lights dimmed and the audience fell silent. The stage lit up illuminating the idol group that stood center stage. Their frilled costumes sparkled under the stage lights.
“Good Evening Piltover! Are you ready for the show?” Mina shouted from center stage. The crowd roared in response.
Y/N stepped towards the center and made the next announcement “We are Spellbound, and we hope you enjoy our music!”
Finally Anya moved closer to the center. “Let’s kick off this school year with a bang!” She shouted before an upbeat tempo began to play.
It was different from the one song that Viktor had heard before. For some reason it didn’t occur to him that he would hear more than one song tonight. It did make sense though, a concert wouldn’t be just one song long after all.
He looked on at Y/N as she sang your heart out, a delighted smile was plastered on his face. She looked like you were having so much fun it was practically contagious.
The concert was beginning to draw to a close with the announcement of the final song. That’s when the familiar tune began to play. It was the song Viktor was most eager to hear. As soon as Y/N began to sing he could tell there was something different from when she practicing. There was more passion behind the notes, and a sincerity behind her lyrics that wasn’t there before. And Viktor knew in his heart that this newfound sound was thanks to him
**********
“I will end this note I said with a message just for you!
I have one thing left to say, I’m grateful everyday!
Because there’s a chance, a little chance, someday we will meet again, so until then… I’ll be waiting patiently!
Sending cards, filled with all our memories!”
Your eyes caught Viktors as you sang and danced and it filled you with more joy than you could’ve ever imagined. It sparked up your performance with emotion that you’d never conveyed on stage before.
As your concert drew to a close your group thanked everyone for coming. The thunderous applause that you received left all three of you with so much joy and pride for your work. The curtains of the stage closed and you all retreated backstage to congratulate one another.
The three of you exchanged a laugh, the high of your success still lingering around you. “That was amazing! I can’t believe how good we did!” Anya shouted.
“The crowd sure enjoyed it. I only hope we can do it again soon!” Mina said. Your laughter began to die down, but your smiles never ceased.
“It sure was exhilarating, but I feel like I’m ready to sleep for a week.” You joked.
“Well I hope you can keep yourself awake for a few more hours at least.” You whipped your head around to see where the new voice was coming from. Viktor had made it backstage with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
“Viktor!” you ran to him.“I think I can manage a few more hours. Otherwise I’d be a pretty bad excuse for a date.”
“I hardly think that is possible.” He held the flowers out to you “These are for you. Your performance tonight was breathtaking. I enjoyed every minute of it.”
You returned his gesture with a glowing smile and a harsh blush on your cheeks. “Thank you, thats so kind!” In a stroke of bravery you relevéd onto your toes and placed a quick kiss on Viktors cheek. It left him blushing and for a moment, stunned. “Let me change and we can head out. Wait here.” You quickly headed off to the dressing room, carefully avoiding your friends gazes. You knew that Anya would be overly excited for you and blow the whole thing out of proportion, and Mina would poke fun at your feelings. For this reason you were also very hasty in your quick change, not wanting to leave them alone with Viktor for too long.
You arrived back to Viktor as quickly as you could, but your friends were already bombarding him with questions. Thankfully he seemed to be handling them quite well. “Alright, I’m ready!” You announced.
Viktor broke away from your friends, giving them a courteous smile, and walked over to you. He extended a free arm for you to take. “Shall we then?”
You linked your arm with his and he led you out of the theater. “So where are you taking me tonight?”

Your World or Mine [Part 5] [Viktor x Reader]
I hope you enjoy the final part! It was fun to write, but I don’t know if I’ll be doing any more multipart fics for awhile. I have a terrible time remembering what I’ve written and it makes it hard to make sure I’m keeping things consistent. Well, happy reading!
Synopsis: You get accidentally teleported to Piltover from Earth. The Hextech scientists try their best to get you back home.
Warnings: None
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5]
Tumblr media
You had told your family what had happened to you, leaving out any of your feelings for a certain scientist of course, and they shockingly believed you. But it had been two months since then and they were beginning to wonder when you were going to get your life back on track. The problem was you didn’t want to go back to your old life. And how could you tell your family what you really wanted. They wouldn’t understand.
If you had been given a choice you would have stayed in Piltover. You would have confessed your feelings for Viktor, and if he had reciprocated them like you had the sneaking suspicion he would, you would have gladly made a life with him. And even if he didn’t feel the same, you would have been content just being his friend and starting your own life there. Still, after all this time you hope that it wasn’t too late to tell him how you really felt.
While Viktor was doing alright when you left, you knew that his illness was fatal and had no idea how long he truly had left. Over the past months you had thought many times of how Earths technology may be able help him. The first time that thought crossed your mind it was enough to almost make you open a portal then and there. But Viktor had asked you to wait, and wait you did. Every moment of waiting was excruciating not just to your heart but also your mind.
You couldn’t stop thinking about your friends, that city, the magic Runeterra held, everything that was so much more exciting than Earth. You’d spent the past couple of weeks just staring at the pictures you took in Piltover. Rewatching the videos just you hear your friends voices, to hear his voice. What did he want to tell you that night you ran away? Would you ever get the chance to know? Absence makes the heart grow stronger they say, and to you that was most certainly true.
Finally you could wait no longer. “Another week.” you told yourself. “Just one more week and then I am going back!” Your decision was resolute. You’d get your affairs in order on Earth, bid goodbye to your friends and family with a promise to visit, but then you’d leave to start a new life in Piltover.
Your family wasn’t happy with your decision, but you didn’t care. It was your life after all. So when the week came and went you dawned the clothes you had worn on your return trip from Piltover and prepared to leave. You grabbed the portal gun from its hiding spot in your closet and placed the Hexgem in it. The runes carved into the metal began to glow a bright blue. With a deep breath of courage you pulled the trigger on the small gun and a portal opened in front of you. You eagerly ran through it, ready to embrace Viktor on the other side, but where you exited was far from what you expected.
You had run into an alley, the air was thick and a green haze covered the area. You coughed as your lungs adjusted to whatever substance filled the air. You definitely weren’t in Piltover. ‘Is this the Undercity?’ You thought to yourself.
“Hey Pilty, you on the wrong side of town?” A male voice rang out behind you, it was rough and definitely not one that you recognized. You turned around to be met with a large man, covered with tattoos and scars. Your heart pounded in terror at the sight of him. “Well?” The large man approached you.
“S-sorry. I don’t-“ you stammered and tightened your grip around the portal gun.
“Sorry!” He mocked you in a high pitched voice before dropping back into his normal register. “Sorry don’t cut it round here.” He grabbed your wrist and pulled you close, taking the portal gun from you. You could smell the alcohol on his breath as he spoke. “Saw you come out of that portal missy. What can you offer me so I don’t take this little gun off your hands?”
Tears welled in the corner of your eyes. “I- I don’t have any money.”
He looked you up and down before leaning in close to your face. “There are other ways to pay.” With his free hand he pulled you in by the waist.
“Please…Don’t do this!” You begged
“You think begging will do anything.” He laughed. “Boys!” He shouted and several other men came out of the shadows. “I think our little guest here needs to loosen up a bit.” He pushed you towards his goons and smiled, showing his crooked teeth. They grabbed you from behind and you let out a shout.
You tried to scream more as they forced a mask over your face. It released some sort of pink substance into your lungs. You attempted to struggle against them and free yourself, but your body started to weaken. You could feel your mind going numb. Once you stopped fighting, the men released you and took the mask off. You found it hard to think and a calm wave spread over you. Whatever was in your system made you feel buzzed, almost like being drunk.
“Now girlie,” the large leader approached you again. He stroked your cheek with his rough hand. “What can you do to pay me?”
Your eyes focused on something behind him and you giggled. “There’s a robot guy behind you.”
“What?” His voice held a hint of aggravation alongside his general confusion. He turned around just in time for the metal man to punch him square in the jaw.
“It’s the Machine Herald!” One of the goons yelled. He comically grabbed his friend by the shirt and continued to shout. “I knew it was a bad idea to come to Emberflit Alley!”
“Let’s get out of here!” His friend shouted back. He and the gang took off, dragging their now unconscious leader with them.
You laughed at their reactions and stumbled backwards in a drunken state. You found yourself falling into the metal chest of the man who just saved you. “Thanks Mr. Robotman.” You giggled and gave his chest a few pats.
He grabbed your shoulders and held you at arms length. You spotted the third hand sticking out of his shoulder and it gave you an idea. You held up your own hand and giddily shouted, “High five!”
“What are you doing?” An accented voice asked.
“It’s like this.” You took one of his hands and lightly tapped it against your own. “A high five! For a good job!”
His hand lightly grabbed your wrist and gently lowered it to your side. “No, what are you doing here?”
You looked up at him with a dumb smile plastered onto your face. “Looking for my friend.” You suddenly gasped loudly and it caused the machine herald to take a step back. “Have you seen him Mr. Robot? His names Viktor. He has soft brown hair, pretty gold eyes, and the handsomest face I’ve ever seen!” You leaned into the metal man, your forehead touching his chest, and continue to spill your guts without a care in the world. “When I left he was real sick. He could be hurt down here! And I need to find him cause if he’s hurt I don’t know what I’ll do.” You look up to the masked man with big doe eyes. “Ya see, I love him Mr. Robot and I didn’t get to tell him before I left”
His hands hovered over your shoulders for a moment and the eyes on his mask widened with your words. He suddenly scooped you into his arms.
“Hey! Put me down! I need to find Viktor!” You yelled and lightly pounded on his chest. He looked at you inquisitively.
“Stop that.” He said. It only took about a minute of hassling him to put you down before you tired yourself out and gave up. Once you were still, the Machine Herald turned and walked to the wrought iron gates in front of the house he had come out of.
“Where are we going?” You asked, seemingly forgetting your task to find Viktor.
“Home.” He said as he pushed open the gates with his third arm. They slammed behind the two of you, causing a small yelp to come out of your throat at the sound. “Sorry.” The metal man murmured. You stayed silent after that as you were taken up the steps to the front door, which had been left open.
“Father unit, did you get rid of the distraction?” A large yellow robot said when you both crossed the threshold into what looked more like a laboratory than a living room. You let out another yelp and buried your head into the Machine Heralds chest.  The yellow robot cocked its head to the side “Who is this?” They asked.
The metal man held you closer to him. “Don’t be afraid, this is Blitzcrank. He won’t hurt you.” You peeked your head out to look at the large robot. “This is Y/N.” You couldn’t recall ever giving this stranger your name, but decided to pay the thought no mind.
Blitzcrank held out a large hand to you. “Hello miss Y/N.”
You gingerly took their hand and gave it a small shake. “Hi” you quietly responded.
“She was drugged with a gaseous version of Shimmer.” The metal man explained to Blitzcrank as he walked past them and took you upstairs. “I am going to have her rest. Get her a glass of water.”
You felt yourself nodding off in his arms with every step he took up the stairs. Your eyes could barely stay open by the time you had reached the top.
The curtains on the window were pulled tightly closed in the room you entered, enveloping it in darkness. With a flick of a light switch on the wall an overhead light began to dimly glow. You were brought over to the bed in the middle of the room. The metal man tried to put you down but you kept your arms around his neck, pulling him down with you. “I need to find Viktor.” You groggily said.
“Please let go of me.” He whispered.
Your arms raised higher until they allowed access to his hair. Running your fingers through his brown locks you hooked your hands around what turned out to be the back of his mask. You gently pulled it off of his head and held the mask in your hands. When you looked up you saw him. The sharp cheekbones on his slender face now accentuated with metal, the beauty marks just below one eye and above his soft lips, and his glowing golden eyes… they were still same golden eyes that held your attention whenever he had looked at you in the past. Your eyes widened and a large grin spread on your lips. “I found you!” You laughed and leaned up to try and hug him. He took your shoulders and pushed you back into the bed.
He took his mask back from you and placed it in the nightstand beside the bed. You kept fidgeting and trying to get up, but Viktor took the blankets from the bed and placed them on top of you. He forced you to lay down once more and stroked your head with his metal hand. “Sleep Y/N.”
“No! I have to tell you something!” You whined and reached out for him when he grabbed his mask.
“You can tell me when your head is clear.” He walked towards the door.
“No!” You whined again. “Viktor! Please!” Viktor turned off the light and continued outside of the room. “I love you!” You shouted as he closed the door behind him.
Viktor was glad that he wasn’t in the room because his face turned completely red at your confession. You may have been drugged but those feeling still seemed pretty genuine to him.
“Is something wrong father?” Blitzcranks voice cut through Viktors thoughts. “Your face is all red.”
Viktor cleared his throat. “I am fine.” He glanced at Blitzcranks giant fist delicately holding a glass of water. “Place it at her bedside. She’ll want it when she wakes up.”
**************************
You woke up with a throbbing headache and only vague memories of what had happened. Going through the portal and finding yourself in the Undercity, you were attacked and drugged… you vaguely remember someone saving you… then it went black. You groaned and leaned up. That’s when you saw it, two glowing eyes staring back at you. You shouted and the lights of the room clicked on.
“I’m sorry miss Y/N, I did not mean to scare you. Father asked that I watch over you.” The large robot said.
You pulled the blankets tightly in front of you as if they would shield you from any harm. “Who are you?” Your voice was scratchy and your throat was dry.
“You don’t remember? I am Blitzcrank.” The yellow robot slowly walked towards you. They extended a hand for you to shake.
“Right.” You shook the hand tentatively.
“I brought you water.” They gestured to the glass on the side table.
You slowly took it and awkwardly took a sip while Blitzcrank stared at you. “So who is this “father” that you mentioned?” Your mind was still hazy thanks to the Shimmer, but you felt like whoever he was might be the man that saved you.
“The people of Zaun call him the Machine Herald.”
“And you call him?”
“Father Unit.”
“No, I mean his name.” You laughed
“It’s Viktor.” His voice rang out from the doorway. “But you already know that.” He nodded at Blitzcrank, who took the motion as an order to leave the room. You stared at Viktor as he approached the bed. He was so different, yet was the same man you knew. “How are you feeling?”
Your headache had faded and now all that remained were questions. “I-I’m fine. But I just, I have so many questions. What happened while I was gone? Why are you back in the Undercity? And you- you look so different…”
Viktor turned his gaze from you. “I am aware that I may no longer be pleasant to look at.”
“No! Viktor! You look sick!” You spoke with excitement but Viktor turned to you with an extremely concerned look. “Sorry, wrong choice of slang. I meant it like, you look awesome, cool… rad?” You listed off several synonyms to hopefully clear up his confusion.
Viktor smiled, for the first time in awhile. “Then my new appearance does not change your feelings of me?”
“My feelings?” You had conveniently forgotten confessing your love several times during your drugged state.
“Yes?” Viktor was confused “Do you not recall?”
“Recall what exactly?” You laughed nervously.
Viktor cleared his throat and glanced anywhere but directly at you. “You said you loved me.”
Your face lit up bright red and your heart began to pound. “I did what?!” You groaned and pulled the blanket up over yourself in embarrassment.
Viktor looked at you with sad eyes, something that did not particularly suit his robotic body. “You did not mean it?”
You waited so long to answer that Viktor assumed the worst, but when you heard the floorboard creak with one of his steps towards the door you piped up from under the blanket. “I did mean it.” Your voice was quiet, but Viktor still heard you. You felt him sit on the edge of the bed, but you dared not remove the blanket from your face. “I didn’t want to tell you like that. I kinda would’ve liked to remember it.”
Viktor hummed in response. “Perhaps you could tell me now then? If you’d like to come out from under the blanket.”
You peeked your head out and looked up at him with large doe-like eyes. Viktors heart practically melted to see you like that, it made him glad that he did not replace that part of himself after all. “Viktor…” Your heart was pounding so hard that you thought Viktor could hear it from where he sat.
“Yes?” He leaned his face closer to yours.
“I love you.” you whispered the words.
He cupped your face with his hands. The cold metal made you flinch. “Sorry.” he whispered, leaning ever closer, you could feel his breath on your face. He closed the gap between you and his lips met yours for a short kiss. “I love you too.” He replied when you pulled apart. You were so giddy that you couldn’t stop smiling, neither of you could. “Did you really risk coming here to tell me? Not that I am not extremely grateful, but it was awfully dangerous”
“I didn’t know I’d end up in the Undercity!” You defended yourself with a laugh. “I just, ugh, I’ve felt this way for so long but couldn’t bring myself to say anything. Then I went home, and I felt so bad that I missed the chance. I waited like your note asked me to, but I couldn’t stand waiting any longer!” You looked at him with compassion as you continued to sputter out your feelings. “I came to find you, not only to confess my feelings, but also because I was hoping that I could help you. Maybe find a way to save you from your illness.” You let your eyes trail over his form, completely enhanced by metal. There was not a hint of his previous condition present. “Clearly you don’t need my help for that though.” you muttered.
Viktor lightly chuckled at your comment. “What were you planning to do to help me?”
You ran your hands through your hair and let them fall back into your lap as you deeply sighed. “I’m not really sure. I was hoping if you came back to my world then maybe our medical science could help you.”
“That seems like it would have been a good plan.”
You leaned into Viktors side. “What happened Viktor? Why are you living down here? Not that there’s anything wrong with being in the Undercity. I just sort of expected the Hextech lab when I came through the portal”
His eyes turned downcast at the thought. “The Hexcore happened. It started to change me. And after an attack on the council, during a meeting I was unfortunately present at, it was the only thing that could save my life. Unfortunately it came with a price that Jayce did not approve of.”
“So you left because of Jayce?”
“It was a pretty bad argument. Don’t hold it against him though. We just have different views it would seem.”
“Sometimes that happens with friends, you just drift apart.” You sighed and smiled at Viktor, taking his hand in your own. Your eyes trailed along his hand, examining it. “So… how much of this is armor and how much is your real body now?”
“It is a pretty even mix of both. I have been augmenting my body to be as efficient as possible.” He placed his free hand on the one you were holding. “My hands are just armor.” You removed your grip on him and allowed him to remove the gauntlet from his hands. Underneath they were purple, resembling the muscles and tendons that would be under the skin. You took his hands back in yours to examine them. Although they looked organic his hands felt like metal.
“This is what the Hexcore did to you?” You asked.
“Yes.” He watched your curious eyes as they examined his hands and he smiled at the feeling of your touch. It had been far too long since he’d had any contact with another human being.
“And you can still feel beneath all that metal?” Your eyes never trailed from his hands. In fact they followed your own hands tracing gentle touches over Viktors.
“I can feel your touch, yes.” His eyes flicked away for a moment and you felt him tense up.
Your eyes looked towards his face. It looked like he was in pain. “What’s wrong?”
“Before you came back… I debated getting rid of my emotions all together. It would have provided me a clearer outlook and more focused mind.” He didn’t want to see how you reacted to his confession. He heard you mutter his name with concern. “I am glad I decided against it.” He stood up from the bed and walked towards the door. “Meet me downstairs when you’re ready. I will make us something to eat.”
You didn’t get a chance to respond, still processing your conversation. You collected your thoughts and pulled the blanket off of you. Standing up was rough as it seemed your legs were still a bit wobbly from the Shimmer. It took a minute to steady yourself, but you grabbed the armor that Viktor had left on the bedside table and proceeded to the door.
Walking down the stairs was an even more daunting task. You gripped the railing hard and took the steps very slowly. Once at the bottom you did your best to muster up an air of confidence before you entered what looked like the kitchen.
“You left this upstairs.” You said and tossed the gauntlet onto the table.
“Thank you.” Viktor didn’t look at you. He continued to cook, aided by the third arm he had now attached to his shoulder. It was shooting a small laser into the skillet to heat up whatever he was cooking.
“Did you have that on display in the lab? I feel like I remember seeing something like it in there.” You asked and leaned onto the counter next to Viktor.
“Yes, it is a version of what Jayce and I called the HexClaw.” His short answer left you feeling confused. Viktor was never the type to talk a lot, unless it was about his work, but it made you feel like he was trying to distance himself. Strange considering he just told you that he loved you too.
“You know I don’t think any less of you right?” Your eyes glanced towards the skillet and then up to Viktor. He stayed silent. “I am glad that you’re ok. And no matter what you look like, I’ll still love you.” The word love held a strange tingle on your tongue. You’d never thought that you’d be using it so freely, but it was nice. “And even if… even if you had decided to get rid of your emotions…” Viktor tensed up while he waited for your to finish your thought. “I would stand by you. And I would be happy just being here, at your side, supporting you.” He turned to look at you with wide eyes. They looked almost of the verge of tears. You gave him a soft smile, but then your face contorted when you smelled smoke. “Viktor!” You shouted when you looked at the skillet and saw the eggs he had been cooking begin to burn. He gave a small shout and tried to fix the problem before he could make it any worse.
So your meal ended up being a little burnt, but it was still delicious. “I apologize for burning your breakfast.” Viktor said after taking his last bite.
“Believe it or not, I’ve had worse.” You joked with him.
“I would also like to apologize for making things awkward earlier. It was not my intention.”
“It’s alright, these things happen. We got it all cleared up anyway.” You leaned back in the kitchen chair and crossed your arms over your chest. “So, you have a child now?”
Viktor practically spit out the sweet milk he was drinking. “You mean Blitzcrank? I designed them to help dispose of hazardous waste, but they have gained sentience of their own. I did not ask them to call me father, it just sort of happened.”
“How sweet.” You laughed. “Well they seem to be very well behaved. You raised them well.” Viktor could tell you were mocking him, but your words also held some sincerity to them.
“Yes, well in any case, there is something I think we need to discuss.” Viktors tone became serious.
“Oh? What is it?”
Viktor walked into the other room for a moment and came back with the portal gun. “We cannot ignore the fact that you are from another world.”
“Right… that…” your eyes trailed down to the table.
Viktor sat across from you and placed a hand on your own. “I love you Y/N. And as much as I would like you to stay and to be with you, there is a choice to be made.”
“I know…” you looked up at Viktor.
“I cannot promise that Runeterra is a safe world, but I can promise to protect you.” This time you did look at him.
“Viktor, I never wanted to leave in the first place. If not for the two of you telling me to go I would have made the choice to stay a long time ago.”
“So that means…”
“My choice is to stay here. With you.” You smiled warmly at him.
Slowly Viktors mouth spread into a wide grin. He stood up and crossed over to you. His metal hands cupped your cheeks and he leaned down to your level. He gave you a gentle kiss on your lips before taking you by the hands. “Come with me.”
Viktor led you into his lab and over to his desk. He pulled out a worn leather bound journal. “This was the journal I was using when you first arrived in Piltover.” He opened it to the middle of the book and to your surprise there laid the portrait you had drawn for him.
“You kept it?” You murmured.
“Of course! It has been my most prized possession since you gave it to me.” He looked a bit shocked that you’d even ask. “Y/N, do you want to know what I was going to tell you that night?”
“Actually that’s been on my mind for quite some time. But why not tell me when I asked before?”
“If I had told you before I was afraid you would have refused to leave. And I couldn’t bear to have you in danger” He placed the journal onto his desk and took one of your hands in his. “I wanted to tell you that I had fallen in love with you. That I didn’t want you to leave, as selfish as that was.”
You lightly chuckled at just how correct he was. “You’re right, I would’ve stayed if you had told me.” You looked up into his glowing golden eyes. “I honestly don’t know why I ran from you that night. Nerves I suppose. I’ve never really loved anyone before… let alone had that love reciprocated.”
Viktor brought his hands around you and pulled you into a tight embrace. He rested his chin against the top of your head. “You’ll never have to run from me again.” He placed a quick kiss on your head before whispering to you. “I love you, Y/N. And I always will”

I finally finished another update! Theres only one more part left so stay tuned.
Synopsis: You get accidentally teleported to Piltover from Earth. The Hextech scientists try their best to get you back home.
Warnings: None
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5]
Tumblr media
You awoke the next morning in a sour mood. Jayce was unfortunately right that there was much to consider about staying in Piltover. You didn’t know about the city’s history, what the financial system was, how you would even live here on your own. Right now you were living off the generosity of Jayce and Viktor, but if you decided to stay you couldn’t in good conscious continue to do that.
You picked yourself up and got dressed for the day. If you wanted to make a more informed decision you’d have to do some research of your own. So when you went to the lab you approached Sky.
“Morning Sky.”
“Good morning y/n.” She replied with a smile.
“This place a has a library right?” You asked.
“Mhmm. Would you like me to show it to you?”
“If you have time I’d love that.” You smiled in reply.
“Of course. If you give me a few minutes I’ll be able to take you.”
“Thank you so much Sky.” You said as she made her way over to Jayce, presumably to tell him where she was headed.
“Miss Y/N, would you come here for a moment?” Viktor said from across the room, catching you off guard. You had assumed that he would still be afraid to speak to you after yesterday. Perhaps Jayce had spoken with him last night and cleared the air. Whatever happened you were glad that things weren’t going to be awkward between the two of you.
“You’re going to the library?” He asked once you had reached his desk.
“Yeah. I want to do some research on Piltover, to learn more about the city while I’m here.” You explained.
“Ah I see. I did not take you for an academic.” He admitted.
You didn’t take offense at his comment. “I do enjoy learning, just not for the sake of grades. I did go to college you know.”
“Right, you mentioned that briefly.” Viktor got up and walked to a bag nearby. He shuffled through it for a moment before pulling out a card. When he returned to your side he held it out to you. “Here, take my library card. That way if you don’t finish your research you can take the books back to your room with you.”
You took the small piece of plastic from his hand. “Thank you. I’ll make sure to keep it safe.”
Viktor smiled in response and sat back down at his desk to resume his work.
“Y/N? Are you ready to go?” Sky asked X she approached you.
“Yeah.” You responded.
Sky led you from the lab and to the overwhelmingly large library that the academy housed. The vaulted ceiling allowed for towering bookcases to hold hundreds of books. You could even see a secondary floor attached via a balcony along the back end of the room. You gulped at the sight of everything. You had no idea just how enormous the place would be.
“Where were you looking to start?” Sky broke you from your trance like stare.
“Oh! I was looking for Piltover history.”
“I believe that’s this way.” Sky began to lead you to the back of the library, but spared no time making conversation with you. She gave you a soft smile and asked, “You took what Jayce said last night to heart huh?”
“Yeah. He did make me realize that I don’t know all that much about this world. That’s why I want to learn more. So when the time does come, and I have a choice to stay or not, I can make an informed decision.”
“That’s a smart move.” Sky admitted. She rounded the corner down an aisle of books and began to scan the titles. She pulled one out. It was thick and worn, many students must have used it before you. “This is the textbook that the academies history classes use. It should be of a lot of help. This whole row has histories from all over Runeterra as well so there should be plenty to read.”
You took the heavy book from Sky and looked around for a moment. Once you saw a table at the end of the aisle you knew where you’d be spending the rest of the morning. “Thank you for your help. I’m probably going to spend the rest of the morning here. Or check out a couple of books to bring back to my room. Either way I don’t think I’ll be going back to the lab very soon, so give the boys my regards.”
“You’re going to check them out? Would you like to borrow my library card?.” Sky cocked her head curiously.
“Oh Viktor is letting me borrow his, thanks though.” You noticed Sky’s smile waver for a moment but decided not to mention it.
“Oh. Well good luck with your studies. I hope everything goes well.” Sky departed soon after saying her farewell. You could tell something was bothering her and you had a sinking feeling in your stomach. Was she jealous of the attention you were getting from Viktor?
Setting that thought aside for now, you sat down at the table at the end of the aisle and opened the large book to its first page. You didn’t plan to read the whole thing, just skim the pages and actually read what seemed like major historical points. The morning sun quickly moved overhead, and when your stomach insisted it was time for lunch you had barely made it even a quarter way through the large book.
You closed the textbook with a sigh and stretched out your back. ‘Maybe it’s time to check this out and do the rest of my research in my room after lunch.’ You thought to yourself. As if agreeing with your own mind, you nodded. Though there were a couple more books you wanted to find before leaving the library.
You looked carefully up the history aisle for anything that may involve the Undercity. You did assume the large textbook would have something about it, but having its own text would be more comprehensive. Unfortunately there was only a small, flimsy book on the Undercity. You debated if it would even have any worthwhile information in it. Ultimately you decided to grab it anyway.
The next book you wanted to find was for your own personal project. You had an idea for Viktors portrait, but it required additional information that you didn’t have. “Excuse me?” You approached a librarian to ask where to go.
“Yes dear?” Her older voice was sweet to your ears, much akin to how your grandmother might have spoken to you.
“Could you point me in the direction of books on flower languages?”
“Flower languages? I haven’t heard of anybody interested in that in quite some time.” She gave a soft chuckle alongside a warm smile, “Do you have someone special that you need it for?”
“It’s for a project actually, well more of a thank you gift I suppose. I’d like to add flowers to a portrait I’m drawing but I want to make sure they mean something.” You admit to her.
She nods in understanding. “Follow me this way dear. I’ll show you where to look.”
There were a surprising amount of books on the subject. Before picking any out you quickly thank the elder librarian. She gave you a quick smile in return before heading back to her own daily tasks.
You skimmed through a couple of books until you found some flowers that you wanted to use. Having finally collected all of the books you wanted to borrow, you headed towards the front of the library to check them out.
You placed the books down with a loud thunk! The librarian at the main desk looked up at you with an aggravated gaze. She was much younger than the elder woman from earlier and her demeanor was much colder. She placed aside the book she was reading and sighed. “Checking the books back in or checking them out?”
“C-checking them out…ma’am.” You didn’t know why you added the ma’am onto the end, but the narrowing of the librarians eyes made it clear that it was the wrong decision.
She took the book from the top of the pile and opened it. She then removed a small card from the front pocket of the book. Her cold eyes met yours once again, “Library card?”
“Oh! Right.” You pulled out Viktors card and handed it to her. She scanned it for a moment.
Her eyes flitted between you and the card. “You’re Viktor?” She asked with a judgmental bitterness to her voice.
“He’s letting me borrow his card while I’m visiting.” You never realized that checking books out could be this stressful. The librarian looked at you for a moment before humming in disapproval. Nevertheless, she wrote Viktors name down on the card of the book before placing it aside to file later. She then stamped a return date onto the pocket of the book. She did the same with each of your other books before pushing them back towards you.
“Have them back by the date on the pocket. Have a nice day.” Her sentiment did not have the same tone behind it that you’d have expected. Still, you smiled at her and retrieved your pile of books before turning to leave.
You stopped briefly at your room to drop off the books before heading to the lab to see if anybody wanted to join you for lunch. When you entered, everyone was hard at work as expected. Jayce was alone at his desk and Sky was hovering over Viktors shoulder. You suddenly recalled how Sky seemed bothered earlier. You took a moment to really observe her… how closely she leaned when Viktor asked for her assistance… the warm smile she wore when he thanked her… Yup, she was definitely crushing on him. And judging by the slight twinge in your stomach you may have been a bit jealous of her.
“Y/N! How’s the research going?” Jayce asked when he noticed your presence. His voice immediately drawing your attention away from the feeling in your gut.
“Its getting there. I thought it might be time for a lunch break though.” You said as you stepped closer to him.
He stretched out his back and gave a long sigh of relief. “Yeah, it is about that time isn’t it?” Jayce stood and walked over to Viktor, you followed like a lost puppy. He placed a hand on his partners shoulder, the sudden contact causing him to flinch in surprise. “Hey Viktor, wanna break for lunch?”
Viktor opened his mouth to speak, but shut it when he saw you beside Jayce. He released a small breath and spoke, “Perhaps some food would do me good.”
Jayce patted his partner on the back. “Alright! Sky you want to come too?”
“Sure.” She nodded. She glanced towards you and you averted your eyes from her.
On your way to the academies cafeteria Viktor walked beside you, while Sky strolled with Jayce ahead of you. You noticed her look over her shoulder a couple of times while you walked.
“Oh! Here’s your library card back.” You pulled out the small plastic card and handed it to Viktor.
“Ah right. Thank you. You found everything you needed then?” He replied.
“Mostly. I was hoping for a bit more information on the Undercity, but there really wasn’t much there.”
Viktor pursed his lips for a moment. “No there wouldn’t be much.” He sighed. “Piltover does not exactly like to indulge in anything about the Undercity. If you’re curious though I could answer questions for you.”
“Really?” Your eyes lit up at his offer. “I mean, I’ll finish the books I have first to see what questions I might have.”
“Of course.” He smiled at you.
The four of you arrived at the Academy dining hall and sat down at a table with the food you’d picked out.
“It’s good to have you leave the lab for once.” Jayce said with a joking tone towards his partner.
“Yes, well a bit of nutrients will be good for my brain. Although you need it more than I do.” Viktor shot back without a second thought. You snorted with laughter, it was short and quick but Viktor still cracked a smile at the corner of his lips.
“Oh ha ha.” Jayce replied sarcastically. “I’m just as smart as you Viktor. Or did you forget that we are partners and not rivals?”
“What is a little rivalry if not a proper motivator for innovation?” Viktor smirked at his partner, a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Boys, boys, you’re both pretty.” You quoted a movie from your world but forgot that they wouldn’t get the reference, as evidenced by the blush on both Viktor and Jayces faces and the dumbstruck look they were giving you. You glanced at Sky to see her shocked face as well and a wave of embarrassment hit you. “Sorry! That was a quote from a movie! It was meant to be like a joke in a way… anyway…” Jayce and Viktor gave each other a confused look while you took a bite of the sandwich in front of you.
Jayce cleared his throat. “So, how was the library?”
“You asked me that already.” You lightly laughed. “I did get the books I needed for my research on Piltover though. But there was this one librarian at the checkout counter that was…”
“Rude?” Viktor finished your thought.
“Yeah. Is she always like that?”
“Eh, yes most of the time she is. I would not take it personally. I believe she just hates being torn away from whatever she is reading.”
“You can relate I’m sure.” Jayce muttered. Viktor promptly shoved his elbow into Jayces side.
The rest of lunch went on like that. Viktor and Jayce making small remarks to rile each other up, all in good fun of course, and you and Sky watching on and occasionally chiming in. Eventually you parted ways until dinner, ready to get back to your research.
Life went on like that for a few weeks. Researching Piltover, working on the portrait for Viktor, breaking for meals. Your life on Runeterra was becoming routine, but unlike your routine on Earth, you didn’t mind. Your research was fruitful and you felt like you were close to making a decision on whether or not to stay and what that would mean for your future. Not long after you felt comfortable in your choice, the time came where your portrait for Viktor was completed. If only your nerves didn’t keep you from actually presenting it to him.
You paced your room desperately attempting to work up the courage to go to the lab and present your gift. Surely at this hour Viktor would be alone. It would be the perfect time…
You slammed your hands onto your desk on either side of the portrait. Air filled your lungs as you took a very deep breath. “Alright!” You psyched yourself up and picked up the picture. It was no larger than your sketchbook, but was not lacking in fine details. Each flower was intricately drawn and shaded around the carefully observed illustration of Viktor. His visage was hopeful, an expression you wished he would have more often. Littered through the flowers were small cogs and nuts, a small touch that you thought was a perfect way to represent his engineering. For being so out of practice with your artwork you couldn’t help but feel proud of what you’d drawn. You held the portrait close to your chest and closed your eyes for a moment. “I hope he likes it” You whispered a small prayer to yourself.
The closer you got to the lab, the louder your heart beat in your chest. Was this how Viktor felt before he gave you that cat plush? You can’t imagine someone like him would ever feel so scared to give a simple gift. You reached the doors to the lab. How long did you stand there… waiting… hoping something would force you inside? You could hear Viktor inside, perhaps pacing the room. The sound of his crutch against the floor echoed even outside the door.
Finally you let out the breath that you didn’t realize you were holding. You squeezed your eyes tightly and pushed through the doors. “Viktor!” You didn’t mean to shout out his name but it came out that way. You were right about him pacing and he stopped dead at the sound of your voice.
“Y/N? Is something wrong?” Viktor started to walk towards you but you held a hand up to stop him.
“No, nothing is wrong. But I have something I want to share with you… well, give to you.” You walked up to Viktor and held out the portrait with shaking hands.
“What’s this?” Viktor blinked in surprise before taking the paper from you. He scanned over the image in his hands, taking in every pencil stroke.
“I wanted to thank you for everything. I don’t have any money so I couldn’t exactly buy you anything, so I thought I’d make you something instead. You don’t have to accept it if you don’t want to, or even say that you like it-“
“Y/N, this is- it’s just-“ Viktor cut you off but he was finding it hard to find the correct words. “I’ve never had someone draw me before. Do these flowers mean something specific?”
You nervously rubbed at the back of your neck. A deep blush rose on your cheeks. “Y-yeah. I looked up different flower meanings so the portrait was more… personal. This one here is Coriander, it stands for hidden worth. Those there are Lotuses, they stand for enlightenment. And those flowers in the back are red Carnations…they mean “My Heart Aches”” Viktor looked at you through sad eyes at the mention of the last flower. “I’m sorry about that last one, it’s just… I haven’t stopped thinking about your illness. It hurts my heart to know that there’s nothing that can be done to help you. I sincerely wish I could do something!”
Viktor let his crutch fall to the floor and embraced you in a tight hug, but was careful not to damage his portrait. “There’s nothing to be sorry about. I appreciate all of the thought and work that you put into this portrait. I will cherish it always.”
The sudden contact left you in awe. It took a moment before you even reacted. “I-I’m glad you like it!” You managed to stutter out.
You started to move your arms, but Viktor released you before you got the chance to hug him back. He looked at you for a moment, studying your features, maybe even taking in your reaction, it was hard for you to tell. You cracked a smile and quickly bent down to retrieve his crutch. He gently took it from you, letting his hands linger on yours. His eyes met yours with such a soft and tender look that your heart skipped a beat. “Y/N…” Viktor started to speak but you pulled away and cut him off.
“I’m glad you like the gift but I’m a bit tired. I should probably go back to my room now.” You blurted out and quickly made your way to the door. “Don’t stay up too late!”
Your feet carried you as fast as they could back to your room, while you silently scolded yourself for running away. Once back you slammed your door behind you and begrudgingly sulked over to your bed. You let yourself fall onto it, burying your face in the pillows. “I’m so stupid! He was about to say something and I panicked! What is wrong with me?!” You rolled onto your side and sighed letting yourself drift off to sleep.
You were awoken the next morning by a banging on your door. It was loud, almost panicked. Groggily you crawled out of bed. “Just a minute!” You called out. That seemed to hush the banging and gave you time to throw some semblance of proper clothing on.
You opened the door and standing in front of you was Jayce. He looked wrought with worry. “Y/N, gather your things and meet me in the lab. We finished the portal. It’s time to get you home.” Jayce didn’t give you any time to respond before he left. Something was definitely wrong.
You started packing your belongings back into your purse. You placed the plush Viktor had gotten you in last letting it’s little head stick out of the top. You looked at your wardrobe and stopped for a moment. ‘Why did it seem like Jayce wasn’t giving me a choice?’ You thought to yourself. He had told you that you’d have the choice to stay or not, you even spent the time learning about Piltover and the Undercity. You were prepared to make a decision, yet Jayce was telling you to pack your things to leave. ‘Why would he change his mind? Did you do something wrong?’ You opted to leave your clothes in the wardrobe and left for the lab with only your purse in hand.
You pushed your way through the doors to the lab. The loud sound of the doors hitting the walls with an unintentional amount of force captured Jayce and Viktors attention. “You’re not taking your clothes with you?” Jayce asked when he saw you pretty much empty handed.
“I thought we would discuss what’s going on before I made any decisions.” You responded.
Jayce hesitated for a moment. He made his way over to you and led you back towards his desk and prompted you to sit down.  “Y/N, I know I promised that I wouldn’t force your decision.” He took a long breath before continuing. “But things are getting hostile here. There was a large attack on an incoming shipment into the city. The council thinks we may be heading for something even worse. I can’t in good conscience let you stay.”
You stared at him for a moment. Then you turned towards Viktor for some form of reassurance. He simply turned away from your gaze. It felt like a dagger to your heart.
You shot up from your seat. “You cant be serious?! Really? Neither of you want me to stay?” Your voice cracked with the rising emotions within you.
“It is for your own safety. Please, Miss Y/N, don’t make this more difficult than it already is.” Viktor spoke up, but he still refused to look at you.
Your breathing began to hasten and tears welled at the edge of your eyes. Jayce placed a hand on your shoulder to steady you. “We’ve tested the portal and it is safe. All we need is a strand of your hair to lock on to your sister.”
You shoved away from him and took a couple of steps before stopping. “So thats it? No discussion? No input of my feelings about all of this?” You didn’t look at either of them, you only hoped that they would say something. Unfortunately no words came from either man. “Fine.” You sniffled. You grabbed a strand of your hair and pulled on it, wincing at the pain. Then you turned towards Jayce and held it out to him. “Here’s your DNA sample. Lets get this over with.”
Jayce placed the hair into a compartment on the portal gun and placed a Hexgem into it. The gun sparked to life with glowing runes. Jayce pulled the trigger and a beam on light shot out, opening a portal in front of him.
You stood in front of the portal, gazing into it, hoping that either one of them would tell you to stay. No such luck it would seem. You took a step forward.
“Wait!” You heard Viktor shout. Your breath shuttered and you silently thanked a higher power that he said something. Viktor was soon by your side, closer than you’d anticipated when you turned to face him. He let go of his crutch and much like the night before, embraced you in a warm hug. “I am sorry about all of this. I wish you didn’t have to leave in this way, but understand it is because we care about you.”
Tears fell from your eyes, “That doesn’t make this any easier.”
“I know.” He muttered to you.
“Viktor?” You whispered.
“Hm?” He pulled away only to gaze softly at you.
“What were you going to say to me last night?” Your conversation remained hushed, away from Jayces prying ears.
Viktor hesitated for a moment before speaking. “It doesn’t matter anymore.”
“Oh.” Your disappointment made Viktor frown. “You’re not mad at me right? For running away that is?”
Viktor shook his head. “Of course not.”
You sighed in relief. You placed a hand on Viktors arm and looked up at him with pleading eyes. “Stay safe Viktor.”
He nodded back at you. “I will.”
With that final sentiment you took another step towards the portal. “Oh! And Jayce, you stay safe too.” You almost forgot to wish him well. “I’ll miss you both, and Sky too. Tell her I said goodbye!” You rushed through the portal before either of them could say anything else.
Your sister screamed when you exited the other side of the portal into your shared apartment. “You’re alive!” She exclaimed.
“Of course Im alive! You thought I was dead?!” You rebutted as the portal closed behind you.
“You have been missing for like a month! The cops couldn’t find you anywhere and nobody knew what happened. We all expected the worst. Where were you? What was that portal you stepped out of?” Her statements were of concern but she still sounded angry with you.
“Its kind of a long story.” You slowly made your way toward your bedroom. “I kind of need to rest first though. I’ll tell you later.” You ducked inside of your room and locked the door behind you. Your sister didn’t let up at yelling at you through the door. You tried your best to ignore her as you threw your purse onto your bed before flopping down on it yourself, thankful that she didn’t get rid of any of your things despite you being missing for over a month.
You buried your head into your pillows as began to cry. ‘How could they just make me leave like that? I wanted to stay!’ You sniffled and looked to your purse. The cat plush stared back at you, a reminder of your time in Piltover and of Viktor. You took your purse and pulled out the plush, but something else fell out with it.
You gasped when you saw it… another portal gun! Viktor must have slipped it into your bag before you left. Your excitement was short lived when you realized that you’d need a hexgem and some DNA in order to get it to work. ‘Viktor wouldn’t just slip this into my bag with no way to use it’ you thought as you shook your head in hopes to make sense of everything.
You dumped your purse upside down onto the bed. Sure enough the small blue Hexgem you needed fell out and rolled until it hit a folded up piece of paper. You picked up both and unfolded the small note. The handwriting was hard to decipher at first, it was quickly scribbled and messy.
Y/N,
I knew something like this would happen and I am sorry that you are being forced to leave. I made an extra portal device so that you can return in the future, it has been preloaded with a strand of my hair as the DNA lock.
Please don’t be angry with either of us, we just want you to be safe. For this reason I beg you to wait a while before returning. Hopefully the danger Jayce believes the Undercity poses will be worked out and under control quickly.
I look forward to seeing you again,
Viktor
You couldn’t help the tears from streaming down your face as you read the note. Hope welled in your chest that you would see him again. That you could return to Piltover. All you had to do now was be patient, but for how long was the question.

I’m trying to write my first NSFW piece, but I honestly don’t know if I’ll even share it when its done cause its concept is like weird and feels like its for a very specific fetish. Lets just say that I am kind of a furry and leave it at that...

I feel this is a strange question, but is fanfiction as enjoyable to write as it is to read? Ive been thinking about writing lately but worry I wouldn’t enjoy it as much as reading. And I worry about keeping things in character
I find it enjoyable to write! Though it can get hard when you get writers block. I find it enjoyable to write my own fanfictions because I know I'm writing is what I'd like to read and that makes it worth it.
I worry about keeping things in character too, but once you get started it gets easier. Personally I just kind of write how I feel the character would react and it tends to just work out in my favor. You can usually tell if something feels off with how a certain character is speaking or reacting.
To be completely honest I can see the faults in where I write specific characters. Like I tend write Viktor more timid than he actually is. Jayce is a very complicated character but I tend to end up writing him as a supportive almost brotherly figure who is more confident in himself then his show counterpart. When I do write Sky in, I feel like I make her a lot more outgoing than her character actually is, though with not too much screen time its really hard to say how her character would react to certain things.
Your first couple of fics may be rough, but like anything practice makes perfect. Don't get hung up on little details and follow your heart for what feels right. The more you write the more comfortable you will become with the characters.
(Wow this was longer than I intended it to be, but I hope it helps!)

Your World or Mine [Part 3] [Viktor x Reader]
Sorry this part is kind of all over the place. The next part should be better
Synopsis: You get accidentally teleported to Piltover from Earth. The Hextech scientists try their best to get you back home.
Warnings: None
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5]

Piltover Academy was filled with many long hallways. It was fairly easy to get lost in them, especially when you’d only been there for about 24 hours. Which, of course, was your situation. After a few trial and error routes you eventually found your way back to the Hextech lab, clad in your brand new wardrobe. You knocked on the familiar looking door and was greeted by Sky.
“Welcome back Y/N.” She said with a smile.
“Thanks Sky.” You replied. “How are things going here?”
Sky led you further into the lab and towards a table that Viktor and Jayce were hunched over. “We’ve come up with a base idea for a device that can get you home. Jayce and Viktor are working more on the specifics.” Sky cleared her throat behind the two men to let them know of her presence.
The scientists turned away from their work. Jayce let out a small whistle before speaking. “You clean up nice. Those clothes look good on you.”
You rolled your eyes at his reaction. “Gee, thanks. Though I wasn’t a total mess before you know” you teased, causing a small laugh from Jayce.
For once it seemed Viktor was at a loss for words while looking at you. Jayce lightly nudged him and he cleared his throat. “Yes. You look very nice Miss Y/N. F/C is certainly your color.”
You smiled, a light blush dusting your cheeks. “Thanks.” After a painfully long silence you spoke again. “So, this device you’re working on…”
“Ah right!” Viktor turned to grab his notes. He fumbled with them for a moment. Jayce squinted his eyes at Viktor as he thought intensely about his partners actions. After a moment his eyes grew wide and a smile crossed his lips. Viktor didn’t notice his partners reaction at first but did a double take when he saw the cocky smile on Jayces face. “What’s that look for?” He asked.
“Oh, nothing. I just had an epiphany about a personal project.”
Viktor looked very skeptical about Jayces response. Nevertheless he took a step towards you to show off his notes. “We have been thinking about making a device that can open a portal to an exact location. Sort of like a smaller scale of our Hexgates, but portable. It will utilize the same rune matrix as the gates. However, while that all may work with getting the portal open, we have no idea how to lock it on to your world specifically.”
The room went quiet once again. Even you were attempting to come up with some sort of solution. “Hmmmm. What if…” All eyes drew their attention to you, “What if instead of locking onto a specific point the portal targeted a specific person and brought you to their location?”
“I suppose with some DNA that is possible.” Viktor mulled over the thought in his head.
“But how would that help? It’s not like you have DNA of another person with you. Do you?” Jayce asked.
“Well technically speaking, I share DNA with my parents and siblings. Would that work?” You asked in a most unsure tone.
“Ehhh DNA is complex. I’m not a biologist, but I am fairly certain that your DNA is a mixture of both your parents. Any sort of targeting mechanism wouldn’t be able to get a clear reading unless the target was precise.” Viktor sat down on a nearby stool to attempt to think of another solution.
“What if the DNA was 99% similar? Would that be enough?” Jayce and Viktor both looked at you with uncertainty.
“Yeah that would probably work.” Jayces eyes traveled to his partner as if to double check with him.
“Theoretically yes. That is very specific though. What made you think of that number specifically?” Viktor confirmed.
“Well,” you nervously rubbed the back of your head, “to be honest I have a twin sister. Our parents tested us when we were younger to see just how identical we are. Turns out we share about 99% of the same DNA.”
“That seems… pretty convenient.” Jayce admits. He and Viktor both had a look of amazement on their faces. They really didn’t know much about you at all.
“Yeah, guess it’s lucky though.” You shrugged.
“So it would seem.” Viktor turned on his stool so that he was facing the desk. “Lets get to work.”
You watched the men work for a bit before turning to Sky. “I just remembered that I left something in my room. I’ll be right back.” you whispered.
“Would you like me to come with you?” She asked.
“Nah, I think I’ll be fine on my own. Thanks though.” After your response you ducked quietly out of the room.
Back to the long winding hallways of the Academy. This time you only got lost twice before making it back to the dorms. An idea had come to you while you watched Viktor work. You wanted to thank him for walking you back to your room and for giving you that plush cat. Since you had no money to get him something yourself, you decided to draw him a portrait. However, you wanted to do it in secret. That meant that you needed to get references, or in this case, photos of him.
After the quick stop in your room you returned to the lab with your cell phone in hand. Luckily it still had plenty of battery left. You thought you had been pretty quiet when you left, but upon entering Viktor immediately noticed your return.
“Welcome back.” He said, though his back remained turned towards the desk in front of him.
“Thanks.” You walked towards the desk. You had to be clever with how you approached this, you didn’t want to arouse suspicion. “Hey, remember when I was telling you guys about my cell phone earlier?” The question was phrased to both Viktor and Jayce beside him.
Jayce looked up at you. “Yeah.”
“Well thats what I went to get. See, I told you it takes pictures right?” Jayce nodded, and now you had Viktors attention as well. “Well I was thinking that I’d like to get pictures of all of you. So when I leave I’ll have something to remember you by.”
Jayce smiled sweetly at you, Viktor on the other hand let his face drop a bit. The reminder that you’d eventually have to leave seemed to have an effect on him. “Absolutely we’d love to have our pictures taken.” Jayce replied.
You smiled back at him. “Ok, everyone get together! You too Sky.” You had the three of them stand together and took a picture. “Don’t look so stiff! It’s not a professional portrait or anything.” The three of them relaxed a bit. Viktor even managed a soft smile. You took several more pictures, sneakily zooming in on Viktor in particular. You then moved to stand with them before turning your camera to selfie mode. “Smile.” You said and snapped a picture when everyone leaned in towards you. Viktor and Jayce were amazed at the technology, but Sky had seen it before so she shared the small laughter that came from your throat.
You pulled Sky aside. “I want one with each of you now. I’ll start with Sky!” You held your phone out and leaned in close with her. She gave a shy smile as you took the picture.
You then pulled Jayce aside, but when you held up the camera you realized that he was too tall for your arms to get him in the picture. “You’re either going to have to lean down or take the picture Jayce, cause you’re too tall for my little arms.” You laughed.
His eyes lit up at that request. “You’d really let me use it?”
“As long as you don’t drop it.” You handed your phone over to him. “Hold it out in front of us and tap that little white circle when we’re ready.” You explained. Jayce pulled you close by the shoulders and did just as you said, snapping a picture just as you looked shocked by his action. He took a second one once you were smiling.
“This thing is amazing! Can I see the pictures?” Jayce asked when he handed your phone back.
“Maybe later.” You laughed. Jayce gave you a thumbs up in response.
Lastly you pulled a stool beside Viktor, who had gone back to working on the portal device. “Care for a picture?” You jokingly asked.
Viktor looked up at you. He didn’t look as amused as Sky and Jayce were. Once he saw the smile on your face fade a bit he gave a weak reassuring smile. “I suppose I can spare a moment for you.”
You scooted a little closer and held out your phone. You took a picture, but when you looked at it you frowned. “Is something wrong with it?” Viktor asked.
“You’re not smiling. Like at all.” You said.
“Oh, sorry. I don’t get a lot of pictures taken so I guess I am not used to it.”
You gave him a reassuring smile. “Thats alright. Let’s try again.” You held your phone out again and this time Viktor gave you a soft, sort of pained looking smile. You took one picture. Then you leaned into him so you were shoulder to shoulder and took another. This time Viktor had a genuine look on his face. It was one of surprise from the sudden physical contact.
You said nothing when you parted from beside him. You just gave a quick smile before heading back over to Jayce. “You wanted to see the pictures right?”
Viktor was left sitting by himself, trying his hardest to focus on a way to make the portal device work. His attention didn’t hold long. It was drawn away moments later by Jayce. “Viktor, you’ve got to see this. Y/N’s device can record moving pictures too!” He practically dragged his partner from his stool to where you were standing and showing Sky the small video you had taken of Jayce.
“Y/N, show Viktor how it works.” Jayces excitement reminded you of a kid on Christmas morning and it made you laugh.
“Alright.” You tilted your phone up towards Viktor. “Just act natural. Wave to the camera, or say something. Really anything will do.”
Viktor glanced to Jayce beside him and then back to the camera. “Come on Vik, do something.” Jayce nudged his friend in the shoulder.
“I don’t understand what this is accomplishing.” Viktor responded.
You walked closer to the two of them and tapped the screen to change to your front facing camera. “It’s called a video. See what you see on the screen is being recorded and I can play it back later.” You explained with the camera pointed at you and Viktor. Viktor leaned closer to the screen. He held a serious look as he examined it. “Some would also call this, making memories. So I guess that’s what this is accomplishing.” You further answered his previous comment.
Viktor glanced back at you. “Memories Hm?” He gave you a soft smile.
You returned his smile with your own. “Yeah. But if you don’t want to be on video it’s fine. Lots of people are camera shy. I’ve been told I look scared anytime I’m on camera. Which is kind of weird cause I’m definitely not scared, but I guess it’s just my face.” Viktor gave a soft chuckle, as he had come to form the habit of doing when you rambled.
“I’m comfortable doing this… video for you.” Viktor backed away from the camera and stood next to you instead. “I just don’t know what you’d like me to say.”
You stopped recording and lowered the camera. “You don’t really have to say anything specific.” After a moment of silence and no response from Viktor, you decided to speak again. “Though it might be better to get candid video. That way it’s more natural.” Viktor hummed in response this time, though there was some disappointment etched in his eyes. “I should probably stop distracting you guys anyway. You’ll never get any work done if we keep playing with my phone.”
“You are right.” Viktor sighed.
“Right. So Jayce and Sky can work on the portal thing, and I actually need to borrow you for a moment Viktor.” Viktor was caught off guard and a look of surprise crossed his face. Jayce nodded with a coy smile before dragging Sky with him back to the desk to begin calculations for the portal.
You moved to the opposite side of the room with Viktor trailing. The two of you went as far away from Jayce as you could get. “I’m sorry if I said something that bothered you.” You said in a hushed voice.
Viktor was stunned for a moment. “Of course you didn’t. Why would you think that?”
“I don’t know. You just looked a bit disappointed when I stopped filming.” You leaned onto the desk and Viktor mimicked the action, letting his crutch lean against the desk as well. “I know what it’s like to feel left out, so if that’s it-“
“No, that’s not it. Though you are quite observant miss Y/N. I was disappointed, but more in myself.”
“What? Why?”
Viktor let out a long sigh. “I felt like I had let you down. You wanted to record memories of us here, but I couldn’t even think of anything to say.”
You took Viktors hand and placed your phone in it. “Then speak from the heart instead. Thinking can often complicate things, or at least that’s what I’ve found to be true.” You lifted his arm up so that he was in the frame with you and tapped the record button. “And don’t worry about saying anything stupid. About 75% of the things I say are stupid anyway. You can  always laugh at yourself about it later.”
Viktor was staring at you and for the first time since you met him he looked dumbfounded. You nodded your head towards the screen as an indication to speak. “Oh!” He cleared his throat and looked at the camera. “Miss Y/N, I… should I address it to you?” He looked at you for reassurance.
“Do whatever you want. If you want to make it like a video letter that’s fine, or you could just start it off with saying hi.” You smiled and reassured him.
“Right…” he thought for a moment and took a breath before continuing. “I am glad we met miss Y/N. I know it has not been very long, and I think the only person I’ve ever become faster friends with was Jayce, but I have enjoyed the short time we have spent together.” You looked away from the camera with a slight blush on your cheeks. Viktor took another deep breath and what he said next had you staring at him in disbelief. “I am dreading the day you have to leave. I know I will miss you once you’re gone. Perhaps that’s why I am so willing to get distracted from my work, which I usually never do...” Viktor looked down at his feet in thought. He looked back up at you and then back to the camera. “It is selfish to want to keep you from your own world… I’m sorry.” Viktor stopped the recording and quickly handed you your phone. You looked up at him with wide stunned eyes. “I’m sorry. I can’t.” He quickly picked up his crutch and walked back over to Jayce and Sky. You were left standing alone, your heart thumping quickly and loudly. Viktors words surely were heartfelt and you thought that perhaps if he continued to speak it may have ended in some sort of confession of love. However it was only a passing thought.
When you finally came out of your dazed state you just watched the HexTech scientists from the other side of the room. They were hard at work to try and get you home, but now you were conflicted on whether or not you actually wanted to leave. Viktor had said he wanted you to stay. Was that enough for you? You couldn’t even admit your feelings to yourself, so how could you use them as an excuse to leave your old life behind. Everything was happening so fast and it was hard to understand the flurry of emotions happening within you.
You slowly made your way to the lab doors. “Everything ok?” Jayce asked when you reached for the door handle. He, Viktor, and Sky were now looking at you. When your eyes trailed over to Viktor he averted his own gaze. “I’m a bit tired. I was going to go lie down for a bit.”
“Aright. We’ll come and grab you for dinner.” Jayce gave a soft smile.
“Sounds great!” You replied before exiting.
“Ugh that ended up being a disaster!” You flopped onto the comfy dorm bed. “All I wanted to do was get photos of him for this stupid portrait. And what do I do instead? Make him uncomfortable. Make him say things he probably regrets saying.” You leaned up from the middle of the bed and looked at the cute stuffed animal he gave you earlier. “He probably thinks I hate him for what he said.” You took the stuffed cat and held it in your hands, lightly stroking its fluffy ear. “Maybe it is selfish to want me to stay. But that’s not a bad thing when I kind of want to anyway.” You sighed and placed the plush aside to go and take a seat at the desk. “If anything, me wanting to stay is selfish. But is it really so bad if I want a new life, if I want to stay with someone I might possibly harbor some sort of feelings for.” You started to look through the photos you took for inspiration.
None of them seemed quite right. They were missing the emotion to them that you were hoping to find. You played the first video you took of Viktor. Suddenly you paused it. He was in profile, glancing back towards you, but the genuine soft smile on his face was exactly what you were looking for. You took a screenshot of it for reference before grabbing your sketchbook. For a few minutes you became distracted, just staring at the image of Viktor on your phone. You took a sharp breath once you realized how long you’d been staring. “Focus!” You shook your head.
The next couple of hours were spent sketching out out ideas. You had a solid concept for the portrait down when a knock came at your door. You quickly closed your sketchbook and hid it back in your purse.
“I didn’t wake you did I?” Jayce asked when you opened the door.
“Nope, I’ve been up for a little bit now.” You replied.
“That’s good. Would you like to go grab dinner with me and Sky?”
“No Viktor?” You tried not to sound too disappointed when you asked.
Jayce scratched nervously at the back of his head. “He said to bring him back something. I guess he can’t tear himself away from his work. Though that’s nothing new.”
“I see.”
While you tried to remain as neutral as possible, Jayce could tell that you were at least a bit disappointed with Viktor not coming. “Why don’t you grab your room key and we can go.”
“Right! One second.” You quickly retrieved the key and shoved it into the dress pocket before following Jayce back to the lab. Jayce was right that Viktor was hard at work on the portal device. It only took about a minute for him to grab Sky and for the three of you to head out, so you didn’t even get the chance to say hello.
Dinner was dreadfully boring, or maybe it was the fact that you couldn’t pay attention to whatever Jayce was rambling about. You were much too worried about Viktor, that he may be worried that he offended you in some way. “Y/N?” Jayce tried to grab your attention.
“Hm?” You lifted your head to meet his gaze.
“Is something wrong?” His eyes softened as he looked at your face. “Is it Viktor?”
You sighed. “Did he say anything after I left earlier?”
Jayce put down his utensils to give you his full attention. “No. Why? Did something happen between you two?”
“Not particularly. But I think he may be under the impression that he said something offensive.”
“Did he?” Jayce cocked an eyebrow in curiosity.
“No… Well I suppose to someone else it could have been seen that way, but I didn’t find it offensive.”
Jayce hesitated for a moment before heeding the curiosity that had peaked within him. “What did he say, exactly?”
You looked between Jayce and Sky, who had been very quiet through the whole meal. With their eyes on you it felt increasingly difficult to dodge the question. You sighed and gave in. “He sort of mentioned that he is dreading when I have to leave. That’s why he’s been letting himself get distracted from his work because if he works on the portal for me then it means I’ll have to leave. He thought he was being selfish for wanting me to stay.”
“Oh.” Jayce looked surprised to hear how openly Viktor spoke of his desire. Jayce had only been about 80% sure that his partner had  fallen for you, but now he was almost 100% sure that was the truth… almost.
“Yeah. But I’m not upset about it! I’ve actually been… thinking a lot about everything…” you trailed off at the end.
“Everything?” Sky finally spoke her voice sounded strained, as though she were trying to conceal a budding aggravation within her. “What do you mean?”
“There’s just been so much that happened in the last 24 hours and I’m trying to process it all. What it boils down to though is that I’m not sure I want to go home. Last night I would’ve jumped at the chance to go. But now that I’ve made friends here and gotten a chance to see the city, I’m just not as eager.” You tried to gauge any sort of reaction from your dining partners, but they were just looking expectantly at you. “I think it’s because I want a change in my life. And thinking about it now, I wasn’t happy on my world…I don’t know I guess I just feel like being here is a blessing in disguise.”
You saw Sky visibly relax, though you don’t really know why she was tense in the first place.
Jayce crossed his hands in front of him and sighed. “I see where you’re coming from. You have to understand though, Piltover isn’t the haven that it appears to be. The city can be dangerous, and tensions are spiking with the Undercity.”
“What world doesn’t have dangers? I can’t exactly say that the world I live in is any kinder.”
“Y/N, I’m not going to force your decision in the end, but take time to really think about what living here would mean before deciding anything.”
You kept Jayces words with you for the rest of the night. Mulling them over as you drifted off to sleep that night. What would living in Piltover really mean?

Your World or Mine [Part 2] [Viktor x Reader]
I finally finished Part 2 of this. Still two more parts to go, so enjoy!
Synopsis: You get accidentally teleported to Piltover from Earth. The Hextech scientists try their best to get you back home.
Warnings: None
[Part 1] [Part 2] [Part 3] [Part 4] [Part 5]
Tumblr media
The streets of Piltover were awfully quiet at the current hour. It was rather peaceful under the soft glowing street lamps as you and Viktor made your way to a supposedly nearby cafe. The whole situation was unusual for you, and not just the being stuck in another world part. You don’t usually get asked to go out for coffee, and even when you do your answer is usually no. However, your desire to not be alone greatly outweighed your usual hesitancy among new people.
You continued your walk in silence until a small creature darted out in front of you, stopping both of you in your tracks. The little black cat looked at you inquisitively. You let out a small gasp at how cute it looked. It began to walk towards you so you crouched down and stuck out your hand. “Come here little kitty. Pss pss.”
Viktor chuckled at your action. The cat slowly made its way over to you. It sniffed your hand before rubbing against it. You practically squeed with joy.
“Oh my! Hello! You over there!” A shrill voice shouted from down the street. “Please, grab my cat for me before he runs!”
You scooped the cat into your arms and held him close. Surprisingly he didn’t squirm at all. The older woman who had been shouting finally made it to you. She took the cat from your arms, “Oh thank you dear. My poor Nocturne is always getting out.”
“It’s not a problem. He seems like a sweet boy.” You scratched under the cats chin and he began to purr.
“He really is. That is until he slips out of the door when I come home.” The old woman laughed. “Do you have cats too dearie?”
You smiled at her. “I have three actually. They’re sweet cats, but the youngest loves to pick fights with the older ones.”
“Ah yes, they’ll do that.” The woman nods. “Well, thank you again for grabbing him for me. I don’t want to keep you from your date.”
You look at Viktor, who had been patiently waiting for your interaction with the old woman to end, then you look back at the cat lady. “Oh no-we’re not- we’re just friends.”
The cat lady hummed and gave a small laugh. “Of course dear. Have a good evening.” She turned to leave and left you standing with a slight blush on your cheeks.
You continued to the cafe in silence until Viktor finally asked, “So, you’re a cat person?”
“Well I love all animals, but yeah cats are my favorite.” You were extremely glad that Viktor did not mention the old womans comment. At least you would have been if Viktor had kept his mouth shut.
“Hm, so we are friends now are we?”
You began to ramble and stumble over your words. “Friends, acquaintances, I’m not really sure what I’d classify our relationship with honestly.”
You reached the door to the cafe and Viktor held it open for you. “So we have a relationship now do we?” He teased.
“Ah, no… I mean… you know what I meant!”
Viktor saw the distressed look on your face and thought that he may have gone to far. “I was only teasing. Of course I know what you meant.”
The two of you were seated in the mostly empty cafe. Viktor ordered both of you coffees. “Would you like anything else? It’s my treat.” He offered.
“Just the coffee should be fine.” You replied. Viktor ended up ordering each of you a slice of red velvet cake anyway.
“You didn’t have to order me anything else.” You told him.
“Perhaps not. But I would feel bad if you  only had to watch me eat.” You smiled at his response.
The waitress returned promptly with the coffee and cake. You both thanked her. You loaded your coffee with cream and sugar. “So you also like your coffee sweet then?” Viktor commented before doing the same to his own drink.
“I did say I didn’t like coffee very much. It’s because it’s too bitter, so the sugar and cream helps.” You took a sip and make a slightly displeased face. Viktor gave a soft chuckle at your expression. You sat the drink down and decided to eat the cake instead. “So do you always stay up this late?” You asked with a small yawn.
“I am prone to many late nights in the lab. It is the best way to make progress.” He nonchalantly took a sip of his drink.
“Just what is it that you’re inventing anyway? Sky showed me the…um…” you snapped your fingers to stimulate your memory, “the Hexgates! But I don’t really know anything about your company.”
“Hextech is about the merging of the arcane with science. Jayce and I are finding ways to use our inventions to better the lives of the people of Piltover and the Undercity.”
“The Undercity?”
Viktor frowned. “It is the lower part of Piltover. It’s suffers from poverty, pollution, gang activity, and recently a drug known as Shimmer. The people of the Undercity live very poor lives. I wish to help the city improve, to give those that live there a better life.” There is desperation evident in his voice alongside a deep passion.
Your gaze softened at his words. “You sound very passionate about helping.”
Viktor was silent for a moment. His gaze turned away from yours. “I am from the Undercity.” He quietly said. “I’ve seen and experienced firsthand what the people there go through. I was lucky enough to be given the chance to attend the academy. To make it out of the Undercity, but others-“ Viktor was suddenly cut off by a fit of harsh coughing. He grabbed a napkin and held it up to his mouth.
You gasped and leaned over the table. “Are you alright?!”
Viktor placed the napkin facedown on the table when his coughing subsided. He didn’t want to worry you with the sight of blood, but something about that action left a pit in your stomach. “Don’t worry about me. I’ll be fine” he didn’t sound convincing at all.
You slowly leaned back into your seat, concerned eyes plastered onto Viktor. “Are you sure? That sounded pretty bad.”
“It’s is nothing new for me.” Viktors voice left an impression of sadness in you.
“Have you seen a doctor about it?”
The neutral expression Viktor was wearing fell to one of hopelessness. “There is nothing they can do. My condition is…” He looked up to see your concerned eyes, sympathy radiating off of them. “…it is not good.” He chose softer words. Fatal would’ve been better but it was all too true, and he did not wish to burden you with such knowledge.
Your eyes fell down to the table. “I’m so sorry.”
Viktor pushed the slice of cake around with his fork. “It is not like you can do anything about it.”
You sighed and held your hands in your lap. “I know. I just… I wish there was something that could be done.”
“Me too, but that’s what I’m hoping the Hexcore can help with.” Viktor put down the fork and traded it for his mug of coffee. He took a long sip before speaking again. “I am sorry for dampening the mood. I did not mean for this to turn into a pity party for me.”
“You don’t have to be sorry!” You quickly corrected him.  He looked surprised to hear you say that. “I mean, conversations venture to many places. I sure didn’t know we would end up talking about you, but I’m glad I know. Well I’m not glad that you’re sick, I’m glad that you told me about it. Not that it will make me worry less if I hear you coughing, but…” you stopped when you realized you were stammering and Viktor was staring at you. “…uh yeah…” you quietly said. Your eyes looked to the window and you grimaced at yourself. You couldn’t really understand why you were stammering, but the way your heart was beating gave you some sort of clue.
After a moment of silence Viktor chuckled at you. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t laugh. You just have an interesting expression right now.”
“That would be the disgust from my rambling.” You tried to smile but it looked more like you were cringing at yourself. “If it’s alright, I think I’d like to go to my room now.”
“Of course Miss Y/N.” Viktor got the uneaten cake boxed up and finished off his coffee before you left.
The two of you made a quick stop at the lab to pick up your discarded items before Viktor led you to the dorms. He took out a key with a diamond at the end and unlocked the door in front of you. “Your room, Miss Y/N.” He gestured.
You rolled your eyes and giggled. “Why thank you sir!” You teased back before entering. You gawked for a moment at the room, you’d expected something similar to the dorm you had in college, but it was more like a small studio apartment. After a short hallway the dorm opened into a room with a bed pressed against the left wall, a desk in front of the window, and a wardrobe and bookshelf along the righthand wall. When you turned the corner towards the bed you could see that there was a small kitchen on the other side of the hallway just across from the end of the bed. The room also had its own attached bathroom along the right wall.
“Is something the matter?” Viktor walked in behind you and took a seat at the desk.
You shook your head. “Not at all. I just wasn’t expecting something so…fancy.”
“Fancy?” Viktor asked in confusion.
“I just kind of assumed a dorm room wouldn’t have a kitchen or a private bathroom. At least my college dorms didn’t have those in their room.” You spoke as you explored the new space.
Viktor hummed in response. “The school is rather expensive to attend. I’d be surprised if the rooms weren’t so… fancy.” He quoted your word choice. You smiled at him before sitting on the bed and letting out a large yawn. “You mentioned not wanting to be alone. Would you like me to sit with you until you fall asleep?”
The request was innocent and he didn’t have any ulterior motives behind his words, but they still left you a blushing mess. “Thanks but uh, I think I’ll be ok.”
“You’re certain? I don’t make these kind of offers for just anybody.” Viktor sounded like he was flirting now, or maybe that was just your imagination.
“Oh yeah. You know maybe crying myself to sleep is just what I need right now.” You were only half joking when you said that.
“Alright. I’ve left the key to the room on the desk.” Viktor hoisted himself up from his seat and crossed the small room to the hallway. “Goodnight Miss Y/N.” He said before departing.
“Goodnight Viktor.” You replied. You waited until the you heard the door click shut before you released the bed covers that you had been tightly gripping. You quickly made sure that the door to the room was locked before hastily entering the bathroom. You looked at yourself in the mirror to see that your face was bright red. “What the hell was that?” You asked yourself. “Was he flirting with me?” You stopped for a moment. “Was I flirting with him?” You quickly shook your head. “Get it together! You’re stuck in another world! This isn’t the time for romance!” You exited the bathroom and paced the dorm room instead. “And it’s probably not even romantic anyway, he was probably just trying to be nice to me. I am in a weird and tough situation so he was probably trying to make me feel better.” You sat down on the bed, which felt a lot comfier than it did when Viktor was in the room distracting you. “Ugh I feel bad cause he shouldn’t have to make me feel better! He’s in a worse state than I’m in. I can’t believe there’s nothing any doctors can do for his illness.” That bummed you out completely, thinking about Viktors predicament. “Why am I complaining about my feelings when there’s so much more at stake here!” You flopped backwards onto the bed.
You laid still for a few minutes just staring at the ceiling. Finally you groaned and sat back up. Your work clothes were a lot less comfortable than you had thought before laying down. You discarded your bra and pants, opting to sleep in your loose blouse and underwear instead. You turned out the lights to the room and crawled under the soft covers of your bed. As you expected, your thoughts kept racing and as the reality of everything settled in, your anticipated tears fell. Eventually your crying lulled you into a deep slumber for the rest of the night.
You were awoken the next day by knocking on your door. You almost answered it as you were before realizing that you should probably get dressed first. “One minute!” You called out. You redressed yourself and headed to the door. “Oh, good morning everyone” You said when you opened the door to see Jayce, Viktor, and Sky on the other side.
“Good afternoon is more like it.” Jayce chuckled. “Viktor mentioned that you had a long night, so we let you sleep in.”
“Oh… thanks.” You said as you ran a hand through your frizzy bed head. Suddenly it hit you that you weren’t being polite. “Sorry, would you like to come in?”
“Actually, we were going to take you out.” Jayce said.
“Pardon?” You asked in confusion.
“We’re going shopping.” Sky piped up. “You and I for some new clothes. And the boys are going to get you some basic necessities.”
“Well I sure could use a hairbrush.” You laughed. Sky reached into her bag and pulled one out. “Oh, you’re prepared.”
“I figured you might need one.” Sky replied with a sweet smile. You quickly ran the brush through your hair and handed it back to her.
“Thanks. To all of you really. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I didn’t land in your lab.” You gave a bittersweet smile that the others returned. “Let me grab my room key and we can go”
The four of you made it down to the shopping district of Piltover where you split off from each other. Sky took you into a high end looking store filled to the brim with beautiful blouses, skirts, and dresses. “Don’t worry about pricing. Hextech is paying for everything.” Sky mentioned.
You were immediately drawn to a F/C dress that was on display near the store window. It was longer than most dresses you typically wore, but that seemed to be the style here. The skirt had several overlapping layers and the top was a corseted bodice with a high collar. You searched for the dress in your size and took it off the rack. “Is there a changing room to try this on?” You asked Sky.
“I think it’s this way.” She led you to the nearest changing room and helped you get into the dress.
Your jaw dropped when you saw yourself in the mirror. “I don’t think I’ve ever worn something that looked so good on me!” You couldn’t stop smiling and gawking at yourself.
“It really suits you.” Sky commented with a smile.
You look at her. “You should get something too. I’m sure you’d look great in any of these dresses.”
Sky blushed. “Oh no, I couldn’t. Getting you clothes to wear is one thing, but it’s be wrong to spend company money on myself. Besides I’m not really the type to wear dresses.”
“Ah come on, nobody will know. It’ll be a part of the same order as the clothes for me. Just try something on at least.” You tried to hype Sky up a bit.
She gave you a weak smile. “I’ll try something on, but I can’t in good conscious use Hextech money to buy clothes for myself.”
You gave her a large grin. “Alright! Help me out of this dress and we can find something for you to wear!”
You changed back into your other clothes and continued shopping. You tried on several blouse and skirt combinations with matching vests and corsets. Sky tried on one dress. It was a deep red dress with white and gold accents that reached down to her ankles, with a high collar and long sleeves. It gave Sky a very sophisticated look. When you saw her you let out a small gasp. “You look amazing Sky!”
She smiled and blushed at your compliment. “Thank you. I could never wear something like this while working…”
“But…”
“But it is very pretty. And I have to admit that it looks very good on me.”
“So we’re buying it right?” You gave her a sly smile.
“No, Y/N, I told you we can’t. And I can’t wear it to work anyway so it would be a waste of money.” Sky argued back.
“Everyone needs a special occasion outfit.” You mentioned. When Sky didn’t respond you gave a sigh. “If you really don’t want us to get it though I’ll lay off”
“Thank you.”
“Before you change out of it though,” you dug through your purse that you had brought with you and pulled out your cellphone. You pointed your phones camera at her. “Smile!”
“What is that?” Sky asked.
“It’s a cell phone. Smile, I wanna take a picture.”
Sky became very flustered. “What?! No! I don’t want anybody to see this!”
You laughed and stood beside her. “Here we will take a picture together then” you turned your camera around and took a selfie with Sky while she was in awe of the device in your hand. You then showed her the picture. “And now you’ve taken your first selfie.”
She grabbed at your phone. “This little thing took our picture? And in color!” Her amazement made it dawn on you that while they had technology fueled by magic here, their basic tech wasn’t nearly as advanced as your own world. “It does more than just that. Why don’t we actually buy the clothes I picked out and I’ll tell you about it while we get lunch.”
Sky vigorously nodded her head.
In the end you wound up buying a couple of dresses, several blouses and skirts, some pajamas, and a new pair of shoes. You had no idea how the money system of Piltover worked but you assumed that everything was rather expensive and it left you feeling a bit guilty.
You and Sky sat outside a small cafe, eating lunch and discussing your cell phone in detail. Sky was enamored with the technology of it. She sure did have a scientists curiosity. Jayce and Viktor found and joined the two of you for lunch. You found yourself once again explaining your cell phone to the two of them when Sky brought it up. It was funny to you how something that you thought so little of in your day to day life was so impressive to them.
“Why don’t I walk you back to your room Miss Y/N?” Viktor offered when you had all finished eating. “That way Jayce and Sky can head back to the lab to continue working on a way to get you home.”
“Oh, ok.” You were a bit surprised to find Viktor volunteering. You had pegged him as a workaholic.
“Would you rather someone else?” Viktor looked a bit like a lost kitten. It was rather cute how he seemed worried about you not wanting to walk with him.
“Oh no! I just thought that you’d want to get back to work is all.” A visual calm washed over Viktors face to hear that. Jayce and Sky shared a quick look with each other. They’d never seen Viktor act this way before. He seemed almost flustered. “But since you offered, let’s get going.” You stood and picked up your bags. Viktor grabbed the bag of things that he and Jayce had bought you and together you waved goodbye to your other companions and headed back to the dorms.
“You weren’t completely wrong you know.” Viktor said when you reached your room.
“About what?” You asked and dug through your purse for the key. You found it and placed it in the lock, giving it a turn.
“About wanting to get back to work.” Viktor said as you entered the room.
“Then why did you offer to walk me back?” Now you felt bad for inconveniencing him.
He placed his bag down on the small kitchen counter. “Because I wanted to give you something, but I didn’t really want Jayce to make a big deal out of it.”
“And what’s that?” You set your bags down on the bed and tried your hardest to remain calm.
Viktor reached into the bag on the counter and pulled out a fluffy stuffed black cat with a shining red ribbon tied around its neck. “I saw this and thought you might like it. Perhaps it can keep you company so you don’t feel as alone at night.”
You took the small plush from him and looked at it. The cat was absolutely adorable as far as stuffed animals go, and the sentiment of the gift had tears welling in the corner of your eyes. “Viktor, I don’t know what to say…” you looked up at him and smiled. “Thank you so much!”
“You are very welcome.” You could see that he was trying to act suave, but the blush coating his cheeks gave away how happy he was that you enjoyed his gift. He then cleared his throat. “I should be heading back to the lab now. Would you like to come?”
“I think I’m going to put everything away and maybe shower and change, but I think I remember how to get there when I’m done.”
“Alright. Until later then.” Viktor bid you farewell and left for the lab. You looked back down at Viktors gift and your mouth spread into a giddy smile. You delicately placed the stuffed cat next to your pillow and got to work on putting everything away.
You left out one nice dress and put the rest of your newly acquired clothes into the wardrobe. “Let’s see what those boys think necessities are.” You ventured over to the large bag on the counter. You first pulled out a hairbrush, “How sweet, they remembered.” You sarcastically said and chuckled to yourself. A toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shampoo and conditioner, “Well these are all things I’d need.” You commented. Next you pull out a couple of cups and plates alongside many kinds of snacks that you’d never heard of. “I suppose these are good to have.” You laughed. You pulled out a small carton labeled Sweet Milk. ‘What makes this different from regular milk?’ You wondered. You shrugged and placed it in the fridge.
What was at the bottom of the bag made you blush a deep red. “Why the hell would they get these!” You pulled out a box of pads. “I mean sure I might need them if I’m stuck here long enough, but that’s something I’d ask Sky about, not them!” You practically howled with laughter. You found it hilarious to imagine Jayce and Viktor arguing over whether or not you needed them, and that had you laughing even harder. When your laughter finally subsided you took all of the toiletries and brought them to the bathroom. Luckily several towels had been placed in the bathroom for you, probably by Heimerdinger when he found the room for you yesterday.
You stripped off your clothes and got into the hot shower. The water washed a calm over you and by the time you were finished bathing you felt completely relaxed. You dried your hair off to the best of your ability and got changed into your brand new dress.
You looked at yourself in the mirror. It was like you were a brand new person. No trace of your old life on you, if anybody were to see you on the street they would think you’d lived in Piltover your whole life. That thought made you frown for a moment. New clothes and plenty of supplies to live here. But for just how long? It almost felt like you’d be here permanently. You lightly shook your head to clear your thoughts and let a small smile form on your face.
“Time to go back to the lab.”
