rating: sm-t cw: none? includes: short little writing thing, archon! scaramouche/, gn! reader as always (can be interpreted to have a strap or c-ck), implied dom reader summary: as your god's most loyal follower, you knew that your job was to worship him just like he had always wanted. just like he deserved.
note: I CAN WRITE. I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRTE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE I CAN WRITE!! AND IT FELT GOOD!!!
Tumblr media
scaramouche knew that he was made to be worshiped. after all, a god like him deserved the absolute best.
and luckily, you were there to provide him with just that.
you were more than proud to be his most loyal follower, and he was proud to call you his. he wasn't a stranger to your worship, often receiving gifts in the form of expensive teas or clothing tailored to his body. the body that you definitely were not a stranger to.
many nights were spent in each other's arms, hands wandering and lips pressed against one another as the area around you heated up. clothes were thrown on the floor, yet scaramouche couldn't find himself caring - what mattered more were your soft lips making their way down his body.
contrary to popular belief, the god was actually quite built, yet it wasn't noticeable due to his lithe physique. he grasped at his sheets when you made your way to his collarbone, holding back a noise unbefitting of someone of his status. your eyes gazed at him from his chest, a look in your eyes that he knew was a warning.
you never liked it when he masked his noises.
much to his (dis)pleasure, you made it your goal to drag those 'unbefitting' noises from his throat. your pretty hands made their home on his hips, dragging him towards you with thrusts that made his eyes roll back in pleasure. he usually liked to be on his back in order to see your face as you wrecked him, though occasionally (like tonight) he liked to switch it up.
scaramouche tried to hold himself up on his hands and knees, but the sensations were too much and his arms quickly lost the ability to hold him up. now stuck with his back lower half pressed against you, he had no choice but to take whatever you gave him. not that he was complaining.
you were discontent with his inability to do a job as simple as holding his body up, so you took matters into your own hands. a gentle hand wrapped itself around his throat and lifted him up, causing him to let out a small cry.
he could feel your lips against his ear, whispering nothing but praises as he moaned in your grasp.
'you're so good for me.'
'you're everything, don't you know that?'
'i'll make you feel so good, my lord. just say the words.'
so when your hand reached around to grab at his leaking cock, it wasn't surprising when he came with a loud, choked up moan, cum splurting out only to land on your hand. you didn't mind, as it served as quite the useful lubricant.
you continued your thrusts and touches, making your dear god moan out due to the overstimulation. it was nice watching him be like this, as he usually was the type to be a bit more harsh. now his pretty face was the embodiment of bliss - mouth open in pleasure and eyebrows scrunched as his eyes closed to focus on the pleasure.
you had many ways to show your appreciation for scaramouche, all ending with a pleased look on his face as he accepted your gifts. the warm feeling in your chest at the slight smile on his face was always something you looked forward to, but none of it compared to the faces he made when he let you to have your way with him.
yes... perhaps this was your favorite way to really worship your god.

Kunikuzushi is suddenly interrupted from his training session thanks to his mother requesting an impromptu meeting. As nervousness wracks his body, he can't help but speculate about what the true meaning of the chat is for.... - Newfound Freedom: Chapter 2 - A Sudden Request <previous chapter> <next chapter> word count: 1500+ - note: now we're onto the actual story! sorry if the pacing and writing seems weird, i need to get back into writing...
Tumblr media
A loud whoosh cuts through the silence of the training room, caused by the sword wielded by Kunikuzushi. Training was a usual part of his daily routine, something ordered by his mother since the day he was old enough to properly use a weapon without harming himself.
The young prince was practicing against a test dummy, his steps as light as the wind, and his moves as quick as the lightning his sister and mother often utilized. The simple dummy was already beaten up from previous training sessions, but he refused to switch it out for another one until it was beaten beyond recognition.
It was his way of checking his progress. The faster it took for a dummy to be switched out, the better he had gotten.
His dark hair clung to his forehead, damp with the sweat that had gathered there from the long training session. Another swing of the sword caused him to grunt, the vibrations from the hit reverberating up his arm. Something was wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it just yet. Deciding that it was probably time to take a break, Kunikuzushi threw the wooden sword to the ground, heading over to the bottle of water on a table nearby.
It was hot, and while the skin tight shirt he had on certainly kept his weapon from getting caught on his clothes, it wasn't the best at allowing him to breathe properly when things got too much to handle. Gulping down the water, he sighed, placing it back down before sitting on the table.
Definitely improper of him, but there was no one around to care.
Kunikuzushi often trained by himself, and while he seldom wished for someone to practice against, he found himself focusing more when it was just him and his thoughts. He glanced down at his hands, clenching and unclenching them. His hold on his sword must have been off, usually his hands would never hurt this much.
Tap. Tap.
The princes head perked up as he registered the noises. Footsteps. Jumping off the table as quietly as he could, he grabbed the sword, getting into perfect form just as the door to the training room swung open-
“Kunikuzushi. Mother has called for you.” The soft yet almost robotic voice of his sister, Rai, reached the young man’s ears, and he almost found himself sighing in relief once he realized it wasn’t his mother. They were practically splitting images of each other, save for a few minor differences.
Placing his sword down once more, the prince ran his fingers through his hair, further messing up the dark locks. “What does she need me for?” he spoke, turning his head to face the future heir.
The borderline robotic nature of his sister didn’t stop at her voice. She was perfect and pristine in every way, and every move of hers was calculated. She couldn’t spare one mistake, and her movements were purposeful. Everything from her walk to her voice and even her hand movements were thought out moments beforehand, or at least — that's what it looked like.
Rai’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, only to go back to their default position moments later. “Unfortunately, I am unsure.”
Kunikuzushi sighed. Of course it was like his mother to leave things as vague as possible. In his opinion, it was a hassle. “Couldn’t she have told me herself?" He didn't know why he was surprised, it was quite uncommon for his mother to tell him face-to-face if she needed something from anyone. She preferred to send someone else in her place.
"Mother is busy right now. I can only assume that she would have sent someone else, but since I was in the room at the time — and about to leave — she sent me instead of one of the servants." Rai's eyes scanned the area, her gaze landing on the well worn dummy in the middle of the room.
"Should I ask mother to send a request for more training equipment? You seem to be going through them faster than we can keep up." Kunikuzushi only responded with a quick nod, already on his way to put the dummy away. He could tell that it still had a few more hits left in it. Maybe he'd replace it tomorrow.
The prince could feel the eyes of his younger sister on his back, yet he chose to ignore it. He already knew what she was thinking.
He spent most of his time training, as rigorous training was a huge part of his family's routine. When not training, he was either in his room studying or polishing his weapons.
The young man looked at Rai once he was done cleaning up, a cold look on his face as he walked out the door. "I should be fine, thank you. But I'll be on my way now," The prince nodded at his sister as he left, his way of saying goodbye. "Don't forget to get lunch."
He was too far away before she could respond.
Kunikuzushi could feel his heart pounding in his chest, although you wouldn't have known from the practiced stoic look on his face.
A sigh left his lips. Rai wasn't much help, though he had a small feeling that she knew what was going on. Did he miss out on something important during their last meeting? Or perhaps his mother had witnessed a lapse in his form during her rare visits to his training sessions. Whatever the case was, he was nervous.
The feeling only got more extreme when he was standing in front of the grand door to her office. Gathering his courage and pressing his palms against the door, Kunikuzushi took a deep breath in, before pushing the door in.
It creaked softly as it opened, alerting his mother to his presence. Ei looked up, slight interest written in her eyes. There were papers scattered across her desk, making it very obvious that she was working on something very important. The prince could see the soft pink locks of hair from his mother's assistant in the corner. It seemed she was working on something as well.
His training shoes echoed against the hardwood floor with each footstep, only exacerbating the growing nervousness in his chest. He honestly wished that he wasn't so anxious around his mother, but he really couldn't help it.
Embarrassingly enough, it took a few tries for any words to leave Kunikuzushi's mouth. "You called, mother?"
The empress nodded, strands of her dark violet hair falling in front of her pristine face. Despite her age, she still looked as young as she did when she first started ruling the illustrious kingdom of Inazuma.
"You are correct." Her lithe hands brushed across the desk, sweeping the papers up in one fell swoop. They let out small clacks against the wooden desk as Ei placed them into one stack, setting them on the corner of her desk. She sat up straight, continuing to speak. "Kunikuzushi, you are aware that it is almost time for you to be properly engaged, right?"
He tensed up. Out of all the scenarios in his head, he expected this one the least. Inazuman tradition had it so that there would be a dance two weeks before the formal engagement between two members of royalty. It was a chance to mingle with others, to form connections with other members of high society before the prince was sent off.
He had known since he was a young teenager that he was set to be engaged once he was older, but for the time to come so soon?... He knew the name of his future fiance, but other than that? He was in the dark.
"Yes, mother..." His voice was soft. This wasn't something he was looking forward to chatting about.
Ei hums softly, her gaze falling to the side. There was something on her mind. "There has been a small change in plans, my son." Kunikuzushi's eyes widened in shock. His mother was a woman of her word, whatever she said went. It wasn't like her to turn back on her plans, especially on something she had been planning for years now.
"Don't get your hopes up, you're still going through with the party. I'm sure you know that there will be many royal members attending this ceremony." She spoke. Her voice was strong, echoing through the room. The complete opposite of his at the moment.
"The day after the ceremony is done, I will call you to my office. Be ready to tell me if anyone ended up catching your eye." This was... awfully strange. Why would she ask him this all of a sudden? Especially since he technically already had someone he was set to be engaged to.
"But-"
"You are dismissed, Kunikuzushi."
He opened his mouth in retaliation only to clutch his fists, holding back his snark comment. Taking in a deep breath, he let out a small 'excuse me' before exiting the room. Once out of the room, he ran his fingers through is hair. Thoughts were running rampant through his mind as he walked down the castle halls — The sudden change in plans, and his mothers strange request for his opinion on people he probably wouldn't even get to know that well in a single night?
It was all so confusing... And Kunikuzushi couldn’t seem to figure out was on her mind.

Kunikuzushi, the eldest child of the matriarchal kingdom ran by his mother, has come of age to be married off. Feeling trapped by the stuffiness of the castle and the strict routine he had known since birth, he decides to use this opportunity to finally gain the freedom he so longingly dreamt of through the confines of his room. Everything was planned out, even down to the little details. What wasn't part of his plan, however; was falling in love. - Newfound Freedom: Chapter 1/Prologue <next chapter> word count: ~800+ - note: not the best start to a new series, and this prologue probably isn't the most captivating thing, but i hope it seems interesting so far! i've had something like this in mind for a while, (aka i've been planning it for at least a few weeks or so) and since i've been obsessed with scaramouche as of late, i decided to place him in the story! please stick around for the next chapter where things are sure to get more interesting! (this chapter was written on 12/15/22. it took me a while to post because i had a severe writers block + i wanted to write 3 chapters just to give you guys SOMETHING)
Tumblr media
Kunikuzushi.
The first son of the Empress of Inazuma, Ei.
A boy forever destined to be in the shadow of his younger sister.
It was an awful fate, really. As the first child of the Empress, he was never worshiped and prioritized as much as the women who constantly surrounded him. The kingdom was typically ran by women, so it was only fitting that the right to the throne would skip him—instead moving to the person who was born after him.
He didn't really have a problem with it when he was younger. Why should he? Little him felt it was too much responsibility, so he was more than happy to pass everything onto the youngest in the family. But as he got older, he began to feel... Jealous. Seeing his younger sister get doted on constantly while he only got crumbs.
Yes, he sounded like a brat, but who wouldn't feel this way?
Like any normal person when faced with the fact that they aren't favored by those around him, he was angry. Why should he be pushed aside for the sake of his sister? Wasn't he good enough? He was often reprimanded for asking those questions.
'You should know why already.' He was told. 'Inazuman royalty is matriarchal in nature. It is tradition for the women to be throned before men.' Kunikuzushi knew deep in his mind that that was the case, but he still couldn't push away the borderline hatred he held towards his younger sister, Rai.
His relationship with the girl wasn't the best, to say the least. He despised her almost robotic nature, how she seemed so prim and proper- it was aggravating. The girl was heavily favored by the Inazuman citizens, each one praising her actions, no matter how miniscule they were.
Rai often trained with their mother, studying her fighting style and practicing it to perfection. The two of them took advantage of the electric magic of their kingdom, something Kunikuzushi had yet to master due to only being self taught.
His mother's consultant, Yae Miko, also possessed the same electro magic as his family and the many other women in the nations around them (save for a few men.) He wasn't the closest to Miko, only seeing her as someone who wanted to impress the person he called his mother. Although he had to admit, she was quite good at her job, often times managing things when his mother wasn't around to do so herself.
Now, back to his mother...
Children naturally want to be close to their parents, but Kunikuzushi didn't get the attention he so longed for from his mother. Anything he did was never acknowledged by the Empress. Academic achievements, training accomplishments, simple milestones. Things that were typically praised were never even noticed by her. Either that, or she simply just didn't care.
The boy craved his mother's words of praise, but over time he learned to not expect it. He would train and study like he was constantly told to, of course, but he told himself that he would no longer dare seek validation from the woman.
Years passed since this revelation, and Kunikuzushi grew into a stunning young man. Paired with his physique from training and gorgeous features, he became the object of affection of many citizens in Inazuma, and even the other members of royalty from nearby countries.
Though they could never truly pursue him, as he was already engaged. From the moment he became a teenager, he was set to be married off to someone from a nearby country. A strange thing to be for someone so young, but it was normal for those of royal blood.
It was a weird feeling—knowing that you were set to be engaged to and eventually wed someone you didn't even know. Since the both of you were so busy with your own problems, you never actually got the chance to really meet and get to know each other. Not that he wanted to get to know you. Based on your reputation, he was sure that you were the stuck up type.
Although an arranged marriage wasn't the most ideal thing in Kunikuzushi's mind, he still found a way to use it to his advantage. It wasn't a secret to anyone who could read body language that he was longing for something more- something new. The repetitiveness of his daily life was finally getting to him.
The young prince quickly realized that his arranged marriage to you could be his way out of Inazuma. The tradition of his kingdom called for him to travel to your kingdom once the two of you were wed, and he realized one night that he could use that opportunity to slowly distance himself from you and run away.
While he did feel a bit bad for planning to do something like that to you, the temptation of freedom after so many years of silently asking for it was too much to handle. But it was too late to go back on everything now—The 'perfect' plan was already made, and it was only a matter of time before it would finally come to fruition.

hey guys remember THIS
i think i have an answer now—
i didn’t want to put too much in the og post since i didn’t want to make any of my readers uncomfortable, like any mentions of sexual stuff (even though i literally write about that????)
“maybe it’s because i (as in me irl) only sees everyone as friends” and “-i only see my friends in a platonic way, yeah i’ve had romantic feelings for people…”
those should have been my answers right there clear as day even the COMMENTS figured it out before me (though they were ever so slightly off) i don’t know why it took me so much research to figure this out LMAO
but yeah, now i feel so much better— it feels like a genuine weight has been lifted off my shoulders since i know that i’m NOT actually broken and that it’s just me self projecting on characters, and that’s fine!! hooray for me!!
kind of a rant but like-
am i the only one who DOESNT ship anyone in genshin??? like i just can’t see myself doing it at all.
it’s not like a “oh i don’t ship this thing because i prefer this” it’s more like i literally can’t ship anyone at all, like i can’t see any of them together.
i keep think it’s so like, weird since everyone ships everything, and there are all of those really popular ones (you know the ones) and then there’s just me wondering just where everything came from. i lowkey feel kinda broken LMAO maybe it came from my lack of attention and love as a child idk. i don’t block tags of ships and stuff because most of the good content just revolves around it, i just try my best to ignore it. maybe it’s because i (as in me irl) literally only see everyone as friends, but only because i literally cannot fathom the idea of someone liking me as more than a friend, so i just project it onto the characters i see.
(edit: by this i mean like- i see everyone in genshin as friends. irl, i only see my friends in a platonic way. yeah i’ve had romantic feelings for people /i define ‘romantic feelings’ as like crush or more type things, not people you see on the street who you think are cute/)
ugh anyways idk
but uh yeah, does anyone else think like this? or do just tell me if i’m broken maybe there’s something wrong with my brain 😭
(edit at the same time as the one before: when half of the genshin fandom content revolves around ships, it’s only natural for me to feel a bit broken and left out by the fact i can’t think the same way as everyone else. if i could ship the characters, i would, but i just can’t force my brain to go through with it)
