EXACTLY!!! it’s unfortunate most of them have their asks turned off 🤷🏻‍♀️ tbh i just think they’re seeking attention at this point cause all they do is post hate
They said they are new and probably want attention so that's mostly it.
They hate characters who are abusers and I don't get why they hate Gwyn too, I guess they get threatened because she is liked so they chose to throw tantrums at Gwyn related tags to show everyone how bothered the character makes them.

I honestly don’t know why other people have to stick their noses in other people’s business. Writers make their own fun headcanons here and there, it’s not like it does anything to change canon facts…like let people have fun my gosh it’s so annoying if you don’t like it then just don’t consume the work, easy as that. this is why the acotar fandom is so toxic, people just wanna be righty all the time like damn
It's literally the headcanon police, people are so far up their own 4sses they think they have some moral superiority to judge, let's be clear, a silly and harmless headcanon.
There's really no reason to care so much about it, i personaly don't like headcanons about Gwyn and that child but you won't see me or anyone who dislikes it trying to stop them just because there's a really odd part of the fandom who gets insufferable when they see any mention about Gwyn and Nyx.
It's too funny at this point and I really hope you guys start to clown back people who try to clown you guys in that tag, they really deserve it at this point.

I swear I've never seen a fandom more bothered about a likeable character being, *gasps*, liked.
People like Gwyn because she is a cool character with a good story and good personality, why shouldn't they like her? Also she and Emerie are not a package and the people who like the Valkyries are not parents who shouldn't have their favorites, you guys are so weird about this book characters.
The fandom makes a lot of embarrassing headcanons overall so I hope you don't get this bothered with all of them, it's going to suck for you.
And the main character thing is getting so old already, try to search about Gwyn's open plots presented in the end of Acosf, It wont be that hard to find if you know how to.
Why do you guys care about Gwyn? Genuinly asking. She’s cool or whatever but good lord she is a side character written for Nesta. That’s it! You Gwynriels talk about her as if she’s a main character or that the next book will be hers. I applaud your imaginations but shit, do you also think Emerie is gonna get her own book? 😂 be so for real. And it’s embarrassing to read about these Gwyn head-canons of her soothing Nyx, why tf would she hold a strangers baby?

1. No one in the Gwynriel side thinks Gwyn and Azriel are already living a romance, the offpage "build up" and plot is not something we are the ones wishing for. We were not in Azriel pov and every character in Acotar has trouble reading Az so saying he didn't care is a stretch since his shadows reacted when Cassian mentioned all the three girls.
Other than that, having Azriel react like Cassian who is already in love with Nesta and knows she is his mate would make things too obvious. The mate bond is still treated as a surprise element in SJM books even though that's all she writes about. Why and how would Azriel react like Cassian in the current story?
2. I really don't know why you guys cling to this "sencond choice" thing to badly, it's just so bad that we would need to call almost all SJM endgame couples the second, third or fourth choices, that's not how she actually builds romance.
Why would YOU want E/ain to end up with someone who gave that ~oh so special~ gift to another woman so damn easily after a few smiles and a nice chat? Right after saying to her face that "it was a mistake". Btw by your own logic she would be the "second choice" to Mor, who he have been in love for 500 years.
3. Ah yes, the classic lightsinger theory, can't wait for boss Gwyn to make the most powerful characters in ACOTAR look like the biggest clowns ever after she managed to live under the high lord roof for two years, be friends with Nesta, train with the NC general and the NC >>>>spymaster<<<<<, get closer to all of them and no one noticed she is a powerful creature who is rare enough for people to think they can't leave the Bog. Imagine doing that when the IC got someone who has the Truth power and also got a spymaster who is a shadowsinger. It's fr going to be funny af, I'll not be able to take anyone there srsly after this.
It's #antigwynriel btw

Can gwynriel people explain to me why Az didn’t care in the slightest about gwyn being taken for the blood rite??? You know that it takes place AFTER their apparent solstice “moment” right?? You know, where hes supposed to have started having these feelings for her…. He seems rather uninterested to me….
Also why do people want gwyn to be a second choice anyways? if Az had his choice he’d have been cuddling in bed with Elain whether you like it or not. I mean hes a little caught up in his feelings for elain atm don’t think he looking for another female immediately after…if he was that would drop my opinion of him to the damn bottom of the list right next to tamlin 😂 😬
Right now i am loving the lightsinger gwyn theory. Nesta and az seemed to be affected by something in relation to her. Interested in where her story goes but i feel like we won’t see that for another book or 2 potentially. Maybe the novella?

Sarah won't make Gwyn a villain, it would be a huge trouble for the plot and demand a lot of time, she set her up for healing, not for a Anakin storyline.
SJM made Gwyn so likable and so damn hard to hate that it has people reaching to astronomical lengths to make her villainous or -insignificant to the rest of the series- and I think that is. Fucking. Hilarious.
Like she KNEW people were going to hate Gwyn so she decided to make it as difficult as possible and I think that is Iconic Behavior.
I am going to laugh when Gwyn is revealed to be everything she’s projected herself to be. Which is, so far,
Kind and sweet.
Feisty.
Brave.
Smart as all fucking hell.
Charmingly irreverent.
As beautiful as Mor and Merrill.
A talented singer.
Strategic and observant.
Loyal. She’s such a good fucking friend, we should ALL be more like Gwyn.
Resilient.
Adaptable.
I could go on and on.
When Gwyn is revealed to be a good person, no matter if she’s a lightsinger or some other miscellaneous creature, and she doesn’t have to ~lure~ anyone or force someone to do something against their will (which is a really weird thing to accuse an SA victim of, call me sensitive or whatever, I don’t care she’s not real, I find it weird and gross and oddly telling of the people who came up with that theory) and her friends still adore her, I am going to laugh. my. fucking. ass off.
Full offense, I think just having a glimpse into Gwyn’s recovery, her being willing to sacrifice herself to protect the kids, BECAUSE SHE VERY MUCH WAS READY TO DIE FOR THEM, what was going through her mind when she refused to tell the general where they went, how she feels about losing her sister in such a brutal way BECAUSE she refused to tell him, the attack that followed, her nightmares, the guilt she carries, and the aftermath of the blood rite from her point of view would be so much more interesting than anything Elriel as a whole has got going on right now. I would read an entire book about just HER.
I find her so admirable and I find it so odd people dislike her because there’s a chance her and Azriel will end up together.
I genuinely laugh when I see how odd some takes are and how angry people get about her.
Go listen to some synth music. Go on what I call a Final Girl walk and breathe some fresh air. You’ll be okay if or when your ship does not end up together.

It's really funny because let's be honest, these people main wish is for Gwyn to vanish, and having a character like her suddently turn into a villain would be a huge plot twist AND would take SO much attention away.
The girl would make the most powerful people in Acotar universe to look like clowns, why do they want it to happen?
I guess people might wish for her to be a villain because they want readers to stop liking her but in that scenario I don't see it happening at all, if she managed to fool all the OP characters in that universe it would just be hilarious and people would probably hype her up even more.
OH and btw, obviously there's a wish for gwynriel to just disappear with that too but honestly, it could make it even more popular. People are suckers for enemies to lovers even if the "lovers" part doesn't happen, there are endless examples of that. 😂
I would be careful with what I wish for.
SJM made Gwyn so likable and so damn hard to hate that it has people reaching to astronomical lengths to make her villainous or -insignificant to the rest of the series- and I think that is. Fucking. Hilarious.

Can y'all believe this is rant about a ship war that have been decided 15 years ago?
Ichi/rukis are something else, I've never seen people so deluded and MAD before.
"Well guys, it's 2023 and here's another dolt ranting about pronouns in the lust arc, just like the IH Fail essay that ended up being a fail in and of itself."
No its 2023 and people are deciding to keep ot real with you instead of deluding themselves and changing fhe narrtive to cater to a ship.
Respectfully, lets not speak on a language we dont know shit about, lmao.
Ichigo omits the pronoun when he tells rukia 'i've come to save you' in soul society that's because he was literally speaking to her, had been bickering with her from the previous page and had already told her he was there to rescue her back on the bridge - so he didn't need to specify to her 'who' he'd come to save: this is a typical example of "japanese omitting pronouns because they're obvious"
in the lust arc, ichigo is quite literally unconscious and unaware of his surroundings: in order to make it clear to the readers that ichigo recognized orihime, a pronoun (actually not even, he should have used her damn name like ichigo always did when he thought about rukia in ss) **needed** to be there without it, especially coupled with the fact that he speaks in broken japanese from that moment to the end of his transformation (i.e. he uses a mix of kanji and katakana, the latter of which is only used for foreign words, robots or - in bleach's case - hollows, and usually to signify that the speaker is just muttering sounds and doesn't understand the actual meaning of what they're saying), and the fact that he literally quite literally proceeds to throw orihime off the dome with absolutely no care for her well being, it's damn obvious that he had no idea who was yelling at him, he was only aware of the fact that someone was asking for help and got triggered by the word 'save'
"I mean this is just hilarious to me. Here's Orihime and Ichigo, literally placed together in side by side panels as Ichigo continues to chant about protecting...And ichiruki shippers are like, "hmmm well, it's not super clear who he's talking about because there's no pronoun so...I guess we'll never know 🤷‍♀️."
So being places together in panels side by side means he's referring to her? May I remind u he's just raised from the dead, and orihime is shocked as she processes what's happening. Those panels were to emphasise that. Not only have u attempted to educate me on the Japanese language and failed, you've now tried to say side by side panels somehow equates to the fact that he's referring to her? 💀.
"You think Kubo drew this^ entire page, at such a pivotal moment, to show that Orihime's...wrong? Like some sort of gag? She's just *imagining* that Ichigo rose up for her, but it's not actually true? That's...certainly an interesting way to interpret things lmao."
This was orihimes own perception of the situation. Orihime isn't a fact page, she's her own charecter with her own dialogue and thought. The fact she perceived it that way doenst mean its the case. She didn't imagine anything, it jsut looked that way too her, may I remind you she was the one screaming. She knows she's the person the screams belong too, ichigo doesn't. So of course she's gonna think it's here fault, common sense people.
You also proceeded to bring more asspulls and try and say how the databook confirms its about orihime when it was in third person.
"The readers aren't the ones who bound Ichigo to Orihime's screams (especially not you, anon, since you keep insisting it had nothing to do with her lmao). Kubo did that. That's how he meant for this scene to be interpreted: that Ichigo was bound to Orihime's screams. But you're still here fighting against it for some reason lol."
Did kubo tell u that he meant for the scene to be interpretated this way? Or did some angel come to you in ur dream and tell u that? If thats true, kubo wouldve simply added confirmation that hes talking about orihime by adding pronouns or her name. Instead he doesnt do that and has ichigo propell her away
He was bound to her screams, it's just that he didn't know the screams belonged to her, as long as those screams belonged to someone, he's gonna get up... that's who he is. It could've been anyone else screaming there and he would've stood his ass the fuck up, that's his charecter and what he does. Lmao you think this would go without saying, but the lengths ppl go for shipping is hilarious.
"Ichigo did know she was calling out to him. It was part of his internal monologue, as she's screaming, before he hollowfied. Whether the pronoun is there or not (because again, the pronoun for her doesn't *need* to be there to make it clear who he's talking about when she's clearly the only person screaming, placed directly next to a panel of him rising him up...) he could hear her voice. He could hear her calling him. He ruminated over ORIHIME'S screams and was bound to ONLY that purpose. Only her. "
He could hear her voice, he just didn't know it was her. Just that it was somebody, it's not that hard to grasp. There's nothing wrong with ichigo not knowing it's orihime but since shipping has rotten yalls brains, it has to be about the Princess hime, and not about ichigos own charecter, because everything has to be about orihime, right? (💀).
Your opinion on this probably won't change, that's granted as a deluded shipper. What also won't change, is the fact that this isn't an ichihime moment. U attempted to educate me on the japanese language and failed, I recommend doing more research time. I also reccomend not bothering to reply to things like these if ur arguement is just gonna end with "well ichihime is canon, deal with it" because it makes u look silly to say the least, and has nothing to do with the convo.

how i sleep knowing ichigo literally rose up from the dead for his future wife 🥰

@gwynweekofficial | Day 7: Free Day
"His shadows peered over his wings at her. -- "How was the party?" Her breath curled in front of her mouth, and one of his shadows darted out to dance with it before twirling back to him. Like it heard some silent music. -- Even his shadows had calmed. As if content to lounge on his shoulders and watch. -- Azriel entered the warmth of the stairwell, and as he descended, he could have sworn a faint, beautiful singing followed him. Could have sworn his shadows sang in answer."
- A Court of Silver Flames For this last day of Gwyn Week, we commissioned this beautiful art of Gwyn and Az looking lovingly at each other under the Velaris starlight. And, of course, with their shadows around Gwyn, since they seem to be very fond of her.

It's a way to cope, which is fine I guess.
Listen, I could tell several anti gwynriel takes that can sound like they are trying to convince themselves rather than anyone who believes Gwynriel is going to happen. But there are two of them that are sounding like sad broken records at this point.
"Oh if they are mates why would he save Eris instead of her??!!1!?1?"
So... Fine, since is common for some people to ignore the context, lets ignore the fact he couldn't, just like Cassian and focus on why he didnt react like Cassian.
Cassian, who is already a male in love with someone who he knows it's his mate, how could we expect Azriel to react like him outside of his POV, and with literally not a single soul who believes he will end up with Gwyn saying he is already in love with her, much less that he knows she is his mate.
Despite the soulmates trope being literally... All SJM writes about (which makes you wonder why people who claim to be tired of this trope are still reading her), the mating bond is still used as a surprise element on her books. There are only too many hints she can give without making it too clear before it should. The hints on Gwyn and Azriel interactions were ok, people who are used to her way of describing mating bonds can catch that. Now, having Azriel acting like Cassian? Who again, is already in love and knows about the bond?? Would't it be just too obvious to anyone???
It's simply not the time.
Now, I really can't believe how people managed to fool themselves about Gwyn being a creature who is luring Azriel, this agenda was so badly spread everywhere people don't even try to make sense anymore.
So, let's pretend she really can lure people with her singing. How many times it was said Azriel heard Gwyn sing? Oh right. NONE.
Really how do people believe in it? "She lured his shadows so they would't tell him she was training", did he hear her singing? No. "She made his shadows react to her" So when they were curious and danced with her breath, was she singing? No. When he went to the library to give that ugly ass necklace these people love so much, did he hear her singing? Also NO.
It was mentioned his shadows sang back to some melody at the stairs, he also listened to it, but at any moment it was said it was something she was singing, it could very well be just another hint about the mating bond.
And I'm not even going to mention the ordinary earplugs to protect him from her powerful magic, it's just so childish.
These are genuinely so bad it's not even fun.
