i lowkey wanna have a girls masjid where we can gather at any time mostly for prayers and after prayer read qur'an together some might make duas some might grab an Islamic book and read about it and after that we have a little chai session we drink chai and discuss with other muslimahs if they need any help or ask questions so we can get inspired and talk about deen and anything troubling them in dunya.

i want to know how y'all spend your mornings, how to start them. Rn I'm a mess who gets up to the alarm at 11am but doesn't feel like getting up and sleeps in for 3 more hours and gets up suddenly, checks the time, rests for *5mins* but I fall asleep again and boom its evening. :')
and i absolutely don't do anything. I just scroll thru my phone do some chores.
if you're reading this, i wanna know how you feel motivated to get up and what's your morning routine.

things to do more:
take a journal and camera everywhere I go.
write down lovely words that people said to me, poems, ideas, and quotes that inspire me.
plan fun itineraries for weekends and bucket lists for seasons.
eat fresh fruits.
don’t let my insecurities stop me from enjoying things.
do everything I want to do that takes daily practice, patience and some discomfort.
collect recipes to make.
tell people i love them and compliment what I like about them.
watch classic movies.
hug people tightly.
let myself calm down and relax.
break tasks down so I don’t get overwhelmed.
drink tea or fruit infused water.
put on my favorite perfume, even if i’m not going out.
don’t wait for the perfect day to start a new thing.
make plans with friends and actually follow through.
give myself permission to not be perfect, and remember something is better than nothing.
make my bed in the morning.
tidy my desk and remove things and tabs i don’t use often.
go to inspiring places like gardens, art museums, old cafés, oceans or forests.
make playlists or write to cope with emotions.
take photos of everything i love.

I carry an art journal around me and sketch portraits of beautiful people and places. I don’t mind if it doesn’t turn out as well as I expected because it’s all just for fun and practice. I drink coffee and sit on the rooftops overlooking Paris and I paint everything I see. Everything is documented in my journals. Every tiny sketch and quick doodle counts. Even a fleeting stranger can end up in my book of memories. I slowly get better and better with every drawing and as I flip through my journal I can see the progress. I never stop drawing and I treasure my journal forever.

i honestly believe human beings are not meant to live like this. we are meant to live in loving communities and be around nature every day and grow our own food and create art and not work day and night until we die. this longing for another life is not human nature, it’s a symptom of modern society.

maybe you were put on this earth to be tender and loving during a time when you are expected to be cruel and calloused
