But there is such a thing as context and when it comes down to it the backlash Taylor faces as a woman is minuscule compared to the incredible amount of privilege and entitlement she has as a white burgeois first worlder cishet able bodied neurotypical thin conventionally attractive etc etc etc etc celebrity, which actually makes her less likely to face consequences for her actions and encounter backlash, not more. Especially outside of a music industry/celebrity-only context

But because she is part of one (1) oppressed group she has managed to milk that for all its worth and convince her fans that actually she has no power, no privilege, no ways to shield herself from well deserved criticism and absolutely anyone who speaks against her in any way or context is just being an agent of oppression against her, one of the most sheltered people in the world. Questions regarding Perrine and the rest! :~)

Despite Kingsley's cleverness, Perrine is still the smartest and the most experienced of the four. She is also quite strong, very ambitious, and shares King's competitiveness! Though it is also Kingsley who brings out the fun in her, that not all is serious.

As ive said; the Lark are four orphaned children who is now with a found family, as they live in a sanctuary together!

Perrine's old home and parents never really let her be a kid, she was an only child who grew up to have a lot of forced aspirations, and the Lark was such a huge change of company. She has difficulty expressing the simplest feelings and would often address vulnerable situations in a tactical perspective. It is through the Lark and her admiration for the Harkers that helps her befriend her own wonderment back! 🌟🌻

With that said, she prefers to be among animals rather than most people (other than the Lark) because its difficult for her to converse with folks her age and she despises adults (due to her previous parents). Perrine does progress and work through it though! 😄

She likes to come up with nicknames also!

Cole does get poked fun at the most. I had a doodle of Kingsley and Perrine ganging up on him during a pillow fight, i do need to look for it again...

All i have to say about Clémentine for now is that they are just brimming endearments, but that is way too given, they absolutely love giving kisses! Because as much as the Baroness, their mother, was suffocating, they were still very loved and adored in that household. And i suppose that kind of overwhelming affection translated to how they are with their friends, especially Cole 🌾

Genuinely been super interested and curious about this ever since I found it, but what's the story behind Harpy Hare and And The Hound (I'm assuming they're tied together) ? I remember it being mentioned on TikTok it was based on a folktale in the story and I'm extremely curious as to what that tale is. The music has genuinely been super interesting to listen too and I'm extremely intrigued and excited to see anything that's coming next !

It holds a very huge narrative in Meadowlark and thats saying a bunch considering Meadowlark is practically a book of stories! I find it difficult to explain... But the tale revolves around a foolish Majesty, who refuses to listen.

The Storyteller reminds you of the past, The Bell Ringer the future, and the Enkindled with what is true... They came to the foolish Majesty to warn him of a tempest, a storm, a madness that is the Croon, entropy.

And yet he did not listen.

Tragedy occurs, which leads us to another story, one that mentions "the Hills" Cole sang about in their song of origin

Everything is connected!

But yes, its a folktale made and retold through various versions and portrayals, like most of the stories we have now. Often times simplified, re-depicted, or even misinterpreted...

Clémentine used to be a kept in a very strict household to a point where they were revered as a doll, a puppet. Control over their time, words, mannerisms and of course, food. Theyve yet to pick a favourite, given the chance they are willing to try new things they havent got to yet! 🍲

I just wanted to know it there are any more information on Kingsley and Perrine, like what their roles in the Lark is and how their personality is like. Kingsley is clever and full of wits though that is often a trait overlooked due to his wild and playful nature 🍃 Perrine is smart but is by the book, contrasting King's childish persona— she as the oldest is deemed to be the most responsible, however is actually the most emotional (shes still learning) 🍂

All four of them live in a sanctuary, an abandoned semi-demolished spire of old stone now rebuilt with wood and trees anew 🌲

..that is within a forest, so yes! It counts.

As for Story and Yarrow, "Bellstrum" for short, they are more fleshed out and written compared to Colentine, and that is saying a bunch considering how much i bring the latter pair up!

The Harkers arent really people, as i said; things given life. They dont feel and think as normal folk do, much less tackle emotions the same.

The Storyteller and the Bell-ringer were paired by the people due to their contrasting purpose.

Story sings of the past and Yarrow chimes in with the future!

The first Lark, the one who leads the group, the most passionate, and a big dreamer. Cole does most of the writing, composition, and design but it all wouldnt have been brought to life without the rest of the Lark! 🐦📖

Cole is soft-spoken, always in their head, and can be bashful— in spite of their role as a performer. Prone to being anxious, he is the least confident out of the four.

Doesnt bother to fix her hair, lengthy fringe covering most of the face. The masks were Clémentine's idea, initially to bring comfort to Cole's stage fright! 🎭

The Lark as a performing group dedicated to the Harkers became a concept out of his idolization for the Storyteller. It were just coincidence, destiny, that Clémentine, Kingsley, and Perrine's origins were also linked to the other three Harkers.

They are the second oldest, next to Perrine. Also loves to help out around the sanctuary tending to chores, and daydreams in the process.

Has no understanding of romance even when smitten with a certain silver-eyed poppet.

Can be found alone in the hayfield rehearsing songs.

Favourite food is pears, specifically asian pears!

Oh, and they can also be so dramatic... I suppose thats something they have in common with the Storyteller 😆

"The Harpy, the Hare, and the Hound" is a children's folk tale in Meadowlark. Its grimmer than what they make it up to be, for the young to understand.

The Harpy represents a mother, caring, and yet selfish, it hides its heart from the Hare, which is the witness.

The Hound is the conflict, often it is disregarded, deemed unimportant, but the people just refuses to address the truth of it all.

Is a 'dumbed down' verse from the narrative, a phrase now commonly used by kids in their games similar to hopscotch or something more similar to one like hide n' seek with a hint of tag. And the reason why it is repeated so much in the song!
