Same! Can't read original fiction while war - brain needs "good literature that's safe and recognizable"= fanfiction
I have three modes of reading
Dont read
Read a 500 page book in a day
Read only fanfiction until my eyeballs drop out of my skull from exhaustion

people telling you they reread your fic is the biggest compliment you could ever receive. there are thousands of stories out there begging to be found, to be explored, but your story meant so much to someone that they came back to it eagerly, they went over every word again. to love is to return and loving a fic is rereading it. thank you to all readers and rereaders <3333

"I made sure you had cash and some food! It wasn't nothing!"

look, fandom as a whole certainly has its own built-in biases and problems that need to be addressed
but like
every so often i think about all of the deep, nurturing lifelong friendships that only ever happened because one day two internet strangers were like ‘oh hey, we agree on which fictional characters should kiss!’
people who are right now helping each other survive via connections they initially forged by liking the same sailor moon girl or something
the internet is a goddamn garbage pit but it is also a goddamn miracle

More Thunderbirds Are Go! 💖
I really wanted a big, detailed piece with the boys so I've been working on this for a good bit. Gotta drag Dad's ancient TV out for a traditional movie night every once in a while! 🍿💕

Some of my OLD Thunderbirds fan art 🙈 The first three are from 8 years ago… @idontknowreallywhy wanted me to share them with the rest of the Thunderbirds Are Go fans 🙃 They’re a LITTLE embarrassing and the photo quality is AWFUL… but oh well.
I was a traditional artist back then ☺️💕
The last picture of Kayo is my most recent piece, so you can compare 🌷

It’s still Wednesday somewhere, right? Have a little Whumpay…
The three men grinned, chinked glasses and downed them together. Scott turned to leave but stumbled a little. Virgil caught him and Scott turned to pat him on the shoulder. But the look on Scott’s face stopped him short.
‘Vir…V…’
And Scott was on the floor. And Virgil was tearing his shirt and tie off. And John was yelling at his comm.

Oh, Earth and Sky totally did that! John filmed it. It went viral. Mom poured a glass of wine and downed it in one sitting. Jeff had to be stern, but secretly was impressed.

From the book Organizing Solutions for People with ADHD:

Putting a coat on the back of a chair by the door is fine, but if you prefer, use coat hooks and a large catch-all basket for dropping keys, hats, gloves.
Small bookcase end-table next to the couch to store craft projects, books, and other things being worked on for easy access.
Add a storage unit near the dining room table to transition between eating and working there.
Daily toiletry items should be stored in a basket that you can move easily
Extra toiletries and medicine cabinet items go in open shelf/basket storage so they can be seen and used easily. If items no longer fit, purge the excess. Don't obscure the view!
If you disrobe in the bathroom, place a tall hamper in there.
Keep a set of cleaning supplies in each bathroom

Edit: I also have this post on budgeting with ADHD + feel free to check my tags, coz I am trying to remember to tag as needed for this stuff. :)

Alright, to ao3's soon to be arriving Wattpad Refugees, a basic guide to general user culture:
1.) Unlike Wattpads vote system that let's you like each chapter, the ao3 equivalent kudos only allows one per work. Everyone is generally quietly annoyed about this. To engage with each chapter, you're heavily encouraged to comment. Trust me, it makes people's day.
2.) Ao3 has no algorithm. By default it's latest updated work first. You can find things to your taste through searches, filters and tags.
3.) 'No archive warnings apply' and 'user has chosen not to use archive warnings' mean two very different things. No archives warnings means the work is free from any content that could require a warning tag (character death, graphic depictions of violence, non-con, etc). User has chosen not to use archive warnings means it could contain any of the warning content, be it hasn't been explicitly tagged. Treat it like an allergen. No archive warnings apply is allergen free. User has chosen not to use archive warnings, may contain traces or whole chunks of the allergen. If you're likely to have a bad reaction, maybe don't take the risk.
4.) Speaking of warnings, ao3 has very few restrictions on the type of work that's allowed. Whatever your personal thoughts or feelings on that are, thats how the site is. You're likely to run across some dark subject matters and a lot of people are uncomfortable with reading that. You're well within your rights not like these works and have your opinion on whether they should be allowed, but harassing the authors of such works (or any works) is more likely to come back on you than them. Ao3 operates on a strong policy of 'don't like, don't read'. Use the tagging system to your full advantage to only engage with the kind of works you want to see.
We look forward to welcoming you all and seeing the fantastic works you create. Happy writing!

With all due respect, but that's so 1st world condescending. About 2/3 of my clutter problems would have been solved with an "extra closet", but the tips rarely accomodate an open plan studio apartment with no extra storage room. I already have my coat on the hook by the door, ON TOP OF ALL OTHER COATS, I merrily forget that I own.
