Okay so my friend asked our group to join them in a mini campaign they are running. It's a text campaign, so much easier to play dramatic characters when you have time to think it out. But anyways I have speed ran character creation, and I am hype for the monster I have created, with dm approval of course bc this is probably the most far out character yet! And I've played the virgin mary, so you can imagine.

Not strong battle wise, they are a shrimpy lil warlock, of the caster variety. But backstory and personality wise, vicious. Literally, cause they are a deposed dictator of an empire who went off the deep end. Well they had fallen off the deep end before they even considered usurping the throne, but nobody know that yet. Remember guys, when you install a deeply traumatized 18 year old as a religous figurehead, make sure they don't actually get power. But trauma aside, make sure they do not repeatedly expose themselves to eldritch horrors beyond the comprehension of man, cause that tends to fuck em up more if you would believe.

Anyways, love this loser to bits. He's being sent to a therapy resort in game :>. Also we are starting high level, so not weirdly accomplished level one character. Though I cannot say if his war crimes count as accomplishments. In any case I've never truly played past level 5, so building a big ole level 15-er is scary

I really want to play an amnesia character, I knowing nothing could be so fun.

But I really want to play a character who's a reborn that barely remembers their time living. But was killed with good reason, in fact maybe choosing to not kill them would have been an act of injustice.

I like the drama. On the side they'd be a hexblade/paladin maybe, to mix it up instead of playing a caster again haha.

Another pc idea for you that I wanna play:

Momma is an aasimar, papa is a tiefling, but it cancels out and makes a human. Or "Human" if your dm decides to mess with you

Once again here to spill the woes of having a character idea I cannot play! This time it’s on the more chaotic end of things. 

I have this idea of a tiefling celestial warlock who’s patron is themselves. How would that work? With this character was once a solar who fell, but would be too dangerous to just let roam lest we have another Zariel on our hands. But they fell and was sealed away, the key to which has been split up so they cant return.

But a fragment of their being escaped, condemned to the life of a mortal. Though this fragment is completely unaware of what came before, and has lived many reincarnations as any normal mortals. The most current life of this fragment they live as a tiefling and the rest of their being (somehow) manages to reach out to them. The rest of their being wishes to teach the clueless fragment what they’ve forgotten so they can become whole once more and be free. Perhaps they tried in other lives but the endeavor was always cut short or maybe something about this current life is different in some way.

Either way I really like this idea. Hit me up if you want me to play in your game with this idea

I can’t even begin to describe how strange AND awesome it feels to have the Grey Wardens be at Aventine Archives!!!

So in the recent sessions of our DnD campaign we found ourselves in league with a group of mages. These mages want to research what caused the disappearance of everyone at Aventine.

I absolutely love how the party interacts with this location. Aventine Archives being a place that holds a lot of arcane knowledge. In this comic you can see Nora still walking around with one of the books from the library.

I had the idea that Yuan-ti Royalty dresses like the famous Minoan Snake Goddess. You know the one. With the tiddies out? One of my favorite statues, absolute goals, ya know.

I based her species off the King snake; which are well known for being the type of snake that hunts and kills other snakes-often times the venomous kinds that can hurt people if they accidentally scare them. My Grandad always said you should never hurt a King snake, because they’re a friend to the farmer, keeping farms clean of dangerous snakes as well as mice and rats. So obviously, if the Princess of the Yuan-Ti is a king snake-she must be a friend to humans as well!

They do resemble the Venomous Coral snake-so Remember, Red on Black, a Friend to Jack; Red on Yellow will Kill a Fellow. Snake Safety Tips with Stalky.

Id (Purpose)

Should I number these? Well another "ehhh" character idea.

This works best in some sort of revolution based campaign. Your character is a member of said enemy of the people, but they are a reborn (undead for those unfamiliar). You have no idea your part of this hated upper/ruling class, you got your own dead person and go along with your new friends! I'm under the assumption that the other party members are on the side of the revolutionaries and don't like the upper class too. So when things unravel it'll be awkward for everyone, including the side of the ruling class.

Another probably bad character idea:

Since clerics derive power from a powerful belief, instead of finding that in a worthy God, they just believe in themselves that much. Self confidence of the gods.
