Tattoo closeups:
I know everyone loves the headcanon that Crosshair is the smoker, but I offer to you: everyone in the batch apart from Crosshair smoke
Tech is a busy smoker - always puffing away while he's working on gear, he probably makes his own blend to smoke
Hunter and Echo both smoke 🍃, Hunter to counter his overstimulation and Echo for his chronic pain - Hunter introduced Echo to it and now they chill together in their downtime
Wrecker smokes when he gets really pumped up, usually after a good fight or sparring session (his armour always has the lingering smell of smoke because of this)
And Crosshair can't smoke bc it makes him gag (the taste, the smell, the feeling, all awful for him) and he's so mad about it

Just a bittersweet Echo realization ...
Echo likely would have died if he didn't go with the Bad Batch.
If he had stayed with the 501st, he likely would have been assigned to the 332nd along with Rex and Jesse. Which would have been amazing to have him reunite with Ahsoka, but ...
His chip never activated. And he would never have gone along with Order 66 - he's as bad a liar as Fives. He would have tried to help Ahsoka and either he would have been shot for it or imprisoned and died when the ship crashed.
Maybe he could have survived, he was an ARC after all. Maybe, if he were in the right place at the right time, he could have helped create a diversion and helped Ahsoka escape safely.
But he would have been fighting his brothers, and if Rex, under the chip, raised a blaster at him, I don't know if Echo would have been able to defend himself and prevent his brothers from locking him up.
So, in short, him moving forward in S7 of TCW, him looking ahead to a new future, was what saved him.

No I haven’t moved on from Cody on the Bad Batch pin
It simply feels a bit too…intentional and I’m absolutely reading too much into it because I’m a Cody stan. I love him to BITS.
Like hear me out here, why would they include him specifically on a pin WITH THE BATCH when he’s never been marketed on a piece of merchandise as a Bad Batch character?
It also lines up with the fact that:
CODY IS AWOL
Literally unlimited potential, and if he gets a hold of TBB to rescue Cross and Omega when they need all hands on deck, it just makes sense!! Plus Cody literally being the one reg Crosshair had a solid relationship with AND LIKED???
Also…he’s on the pin with Hunter and Wrecker. No Echo. I’m assuming it was for space reasons, because I do not believe that Echo would go back with Rex again when they need help this badly but 🫣
