Reasons why Jon Archivist is truly a character of all time:

Had the police called on him several times when he was a young child

Keeps his rib and the ashes of the season one antagonist next to his stationary drawer

Promised he wouldn’t get lost in tunnels and then immediately got lost in aforementioned tunnels

Has no clue what a joke is

Learned how remarkably easy it is to buy an ax in central London

Had to have two separate interventions

Told people his place of employment before traumatising them for life

The first character he ever said ‘I love you’ to is a cat

Allegedly participated in amdram

Watches documentaries and collects some kind of weird shit (my headcanon is Soviet Union postcards) when he’s not being a paranoid mess

Canonically looks like he hasn’t slept in weeks

Knows nothing about library science

Fell head over heels for a man that he hated until he learned he lied on his resumé

Has been referred to as Jesus or Jesus-adjacent at least twice

I had a dream last night that they had released a TMA tv series and for some reason we were watching the last episode in maths class (I haven't done a maths class in 10 years)

at the end they teased the next season being protocol with a preview clip of alice and it panned up to reveal that she's been a particularly detailed mannequin this whole time and it was just never mentioned in the podcast and everyone lost their mind

Georgie, who somehow became institute head, finally agreeing to install a sprinkler system after Mike is unable to leave his flat for two weeks because Jon camped outside his front door periodically yelling questions through the letterbox

Tma au where everything is the same but swapped places of archive staff and the avatars. But not in the way of the staff being creatures and the avatars being normal. I mean like Jane Prentiss covered in worms yelling at her assistants, Mike crew, Nikola, and Annabelle cane, to get the spray bottle with just regular tap water (instead of fire extinguishers) because the very normal Jon is in the walls again and they need him to leave.

Jurgen Leitner is still the same though, he's just a guy in the tunnels.

Also I couldn't quite tell, was that the voice of "agustus" in the clip gwen found at the end?

Because if it is,,,, CAN OUR BOYS EXIT THE COMPUTER TOO??

Like from a narrative perspective I dont think they CAN have Jon and Martin able to come In too soon, because surely they could just tell our new cast exactly what's going on and about the entities and I just don't think that will happen unless they have something different In mind for plot progression

Then again if its true that they sent that message to alice and showed gwen the clip maybe they are slowly gaining influence on the tech and that's how they're going to handle progressively feeding clues to the characters.

Especially if they are actually hiding from colin for some reason and are trying to stick to a subtlety level of 'these computers may be supernaturally weird' without implying too much of "this computer is are definitely sentient"
