Thinking about self aware! MW characters (plus Roach) who absolutely adore your laugh.
CW// gender neutral, unfunny men deserve to be slandered, favoritism is seen, badly translated Scottish and Spanish, this is based off of my interpretation (you can find the main fic link on my account)
Feedback and criticism are highly encouraged! Please tell me if anything is badly translated, out of character, or something else!
Ghost actively makes jokes that are guaranteed to make you at least giggle. Even through this weird mental barrier (for him) and your monitor's screen, it's so invigorating to hear some form of joy out on the field, especially when it's from you. It just makes that fuzzy feeling in his heart multiply.
"Thank you, thank you - I'll be here all night."
Gaz takes absolute advantage of this. He makes a few jokes here and there, but keeps it to interesting stories. In some instances, he just starts laughing out of nowhere and you can't help but join in. It's very clear he gets bitches on the daily.
"Didn't know I was that funny, but I'll take what I can get."
Price uses all of his past experiences with courting to get, at the very least, a giggle or two out of you. He doesn't have millenium of experience (contrary to your belief), but he's certain that his "old-man" charisma and his weird way with words. But he still tells some older jokes, so your assumption that he's older isn't completely wrong (he was totally raised by his grandparents).
"Would you like to hear a story?" *Tells one of the pointless joke stories that lasts for 10 minutes and has the stupidest punchline*
Roach can't really come up with ways to make you laugh. His preference of keeping quiet and faceless doesn't really help, either. Instead, he tries to point out some enemy on the field, signing insults to them that you're sure to understand.
'His head looks like a donkey, and he acts like one, too.'
Soap physically cannot keep you from laughing. He doesn't even have to make a joke, you just start laughing. He believes it's because he's just an immediately funny dude, but you're not going to tell him that he looks stupid with that hairstyle. If he does tell any jokes, they're not even funny.
"Dinnae ken how come ye'r laughing, bit keep daein' it."
Alejandro tries, he really does, and it doesn't work most of the time. It's kind of funny seeing this overly-confident dude absolutely fumble because of his lack of realization that your personality and humor aren't really the same as the people he usually catches. On occasion, though, he does get a rise out of you and can't stop smirking about it for the rest of the day.
Valeria has subtle jokes that rely mainly on her tone, but those aren't her priority. She doesn't mean to be rude (lies usually, but with you?), but she does impressions of your laugh and then comments on it. Usually they're not bad, but it does feel demeaning sometimes.
"Me gusta esa risa. Jejejejeje."
"You know why Mexicans call Americans 'gringos'? ... Would you like to?"
Rodolfo doesn't always try to make you laugh - he still gets a bit disoriented that you're no physically there (which means he can't see your face, but what is he gonna do about it?). His humbleness and large range of jokes really comes through, especially since he'd been the family entertainer at parties. If you can understand simple jokes in Spanish? You're practically set to be unable to keep a straight face, and he loves it. (Even if he doesn't understand it, he'll turn it into a mini lesson so you do)
"¿Qué dijo el gato cuando chocó su carro? 'Miau-to.'"
Nikolai has a handful of Russian jokes at his disposal. Are you completely guaranteed to understand? No, and he doesn't expect you to. If you do understand Russian, boy howdy is he gonna have the time of his life! You won't be able to breathe properly until he's out of sight!
"You see, it's funny because-" *explains joke if you don't understand*
Laswell is a huge fan of subtle jokes. She often makes small, funny comments that get light-hearted chuckles out of her. However, she also has older humor, which means you're less likely to understand unless you, too, are old (which isn't likely, but it's still a possibility). She likes hearing you laugh and really does try to get some sort of connection with you, even if it doesn't work.
"What did the chicken say when it crossed the road? 'Damn it, I missed the bus.'"
Alex is a funny man. He's aware of his effect on people and uses it to his full advantage. As a people-pleaser, he makes it his duty to get you to laugh as much as possible. If he doesn't make you laugh, he'll make himself laugh, and then you laugh. He's totally not putting all his effort into jokes just to get you to laugh or anything. He's just that guy.
"Me? A tryhard? Whaaaat? Psh- as if."
Farah has no business with nonchalant jokes, but she makes them work. While she does like the sound of your voice, she doesn't want to force it. She believes that intentionally funny words can diminish any genuine laughter, so she sticks to half-assing it in hopes you at least giggle. That's not to say she doesn't try to get you to laugh - she just does it far less, since she can't see your face (but she can just imagine the glee on your face if you get the giggles because of her).
"What is your type of humor? Asking for a friend."
Graves is unintentionally funny. When he tries, he fails miserably. He says a southern phrase that might not be super known? You're cracking up. He doesn't get it, but at least you're going 'teehee'.
"What's so funny 'bout me sayin' cattywampus? It fits the situation!"

"I wish he was real," you sigh, caressing the screen of your monitor as you watch the streamer make bizarre noises that shouldn't be humanly possible. You close your eyes and shake your head as Jerma's character around the map, just looking around for some entity to battle to continue his Elden Ring stream.
You yawn and check the time, humming when you notice the early hours right before dawn hits. Deciding to go to bed soon, you type something in chat, though, when you go to type, the stream freezes, as does your screen. In confusion, you move your mouse around, though the cursor doesn't budge from its space beside the blank chat box. You let out a quiet curse, heart rate increasing as your screen begins to glitch. Then, the screen begins to warp. And not in the cliche 'I'm being sucked into a portal because I downloaded a magical virus after taking a survey', no. This is some 'The Ring' shit.
You stand up and walk to the door, not wanting to die just yet. You grab the handle of your door and, before you've even twisted the knob, a hand juts out of the screen, and then an arm, and the hand begins to search for something to grab onto.
"Did I take something?" You question yourself as you exit your room, panic etched onto your face as a horribly loud 'thud!' resonated through your place of residence. You freeze, blood stilling in your body as you mull over all the life choices you had made that lead you up to this very moment.
The air falls silent for a long while, and you take that as your cue to get the fuck out of dodge. You don't make it far when your door creaks open and a voice rings out.
"Where ya goin'?"
You hurry down the stairs, pleading to your balance that you don't end up slipping from the friction of socks on slippery steps. As you get to the last one, you're grabbed by the collar of your shirt and are turned around to face whatever is in your house with you.
You're thoroughly shocked with what you're greeted with.
"Jerma?" Your face scrunches as you take in the characteristics of the man. His eyes stare into yours, and you can almost see some sort of . . . oh, that's liquid in there. That's weird. But, like, the sick kind of weird.
The streamer responds with not words, but a melody of beatboxing that you're barely able to comprehend due to how little his mouth moves with the noises.
"Is this real?" Your voice is quiet, still taking in every detail of the online being (who's still holding you by your collar). You swear you can see a low poly rat take his place when your vision blurs from strain.
Jerma doesn't respond to you this time, instead turning around and heading to your bedroom to place you on your bed. He settles you under the covers, pulling your blankets over your body and up to your chin, before grabbing your chair and situating himself comfortably.
You take a moment to ground yourself, looking around your room to make sure you can see the clocks clearly, and to see if your PC setup is okay, as well. Luckily, both of your questions are answered when your eyes land on the bottom corner of your monitor, bright and tiny.
3:59 am
You blink, turning your attention back to the cryptid sitting in your swivel chair.
"Um." You're not sure how to start a new conversation, so you better make this short. "Do you know any lullabies?" You idiot, not that short!
Jerma nods and clears his throat, warming up his vocal chords eagerly. And he sings, hushed and speedy.
Your eyelids droop, and your head lolling to the side as the real-time Nightcore enters your ears.
You dream of nothing but that one TikTok account: JermaSpins.
When you wake, you're greeted with the sight of Jerma spinning, just like in your dreams.
"You are real." Indeed he is.

He's stiff with uncertainty most of the time the two of you interact and it's usually you who has to break the awkward silence with more fluid motions and then offering to watch a movie
Though he doesn't seem like he does, he truly does enjoy your presence. He's simply unsure of what to do when actually expressing his feelings properly
Sometimes, he goes to his friends [Amy, Brian, Jay, Seth, Tim, and a few others] just to see if what he has in mind for an upcoming date is a good idea
You share kisses, cuddle each other, take each other out on small date ideas the both of you enjoy
Regular couple things
Unfortunately, there are flaws and struggles in relationships of any kind
Most of the time he's trying desperately to understand why you don't get his thought process - why you're confused when he wakes you up in the middle of the night to go driving around the Alabama town you live in with a camera pointed at you the whole time, why you don't say yes to his idea of going out to an abandoned building to document events, why you don't seem the happiest when he starts getting paranoid about every little thing outside of his reach
You feel horrible - you truly do - when Alex shows up at your front steps, coughing like a madman and covered in blood that you can't tell is his or not
You fuss over him and he's trying to reassure you that everything is okay - he's not hurt, he just has a small fever - while you insist that he stay in bed and ditch the camera so he can recover under your supervision strictly
You hope it's a one time thing
Occurrences like these keep happening, however, and you're slowly starting to doubt that Alex is telling the truth about what he's been doing to get into situations like these
He shows up all worn and torn, heaving and sputtering with coughs, a camera in hand, and it seems like he has some sort of lifeline connected to the camera
He's not the Alex you fell in love with.
He's not the Alex who held you with stiff arms and an even stiffer back.
That man is simply not Alex anymore.

When you proposed the idea of playing a game with Jeremy, he didn't expect you to pull up quite a handful of multiplayer first person shooters. In fact, he didn't even expect you to actually have a game- he thought you'd make one up like he usually does.
"Uh, doll, you sure this is multiplayer?" You grab two controllers, grinning at the twenty-five year old.
"Yup." You answer, opening up one of the Team Shooter games to set up Scout and you. "Here you go, sweetums." You hand him the controller and give him a smile.
You load into a match and, to your surprise, you aren't on the same team.
"I'm in love with the enemy?" Scout gasps, "Frick."

could you write fluff headcanons for post covid butters x female reader?
I apologize for not getting to this within the first week. It is now several months later. I apologize for the quality of this, it was made within ten minutes because i had a sudden burst of energy, and I don't really know how to make fluffy content that well. Angst related things? I'm an expert on. Fluff? Not so much. Also, i don't really mention any gender outside of the period part, so, uh, apologies.
CW// small mentions of childhood trauma, cussing, period mentions
Butters, despite his trauma, has been trying his best in general
He's glad to have someone by his side to support him, even if they don't know all the little details
He's got some really warm, tight hugs that make you wish they were prolonged a bit when he lets go
Whenever he's not feeling well, mentally or physically, he'll plop onto your shared bed face down and shoot you a text, asking if you can do him a favor
You comply most of the time and from there, a cuddle session begins
He probably asks you to trim his moustache every once in a while if the two of you have nothing to do
Butters keeps a 'cuddle count' around at all times to add to how many sorts of affection he receives [i know, it's weird that it's not used for just cuddles]
He knows what he's doing most of the time, which is shocking, but he's just glad to actually be doing good things with his life
He probably knows what a period is and how to handle it, so it's much better than when he was a kid!
He still laughs a bit at the mention, but he's never mocking when he gets you things you may want or need for that time of the month
He watches cartoons with you and relives the good parts of his childhood in those moments, so he's all giggly as he tells you what he remembers from the episodes he had watched
Overall 9/10, could have stuck with just cuddles for the cuddle count. My only compaint
