The goal for this week is to go over all my thesis material and try to match everything to a subpart of my thesis plan. When it's done, I will be able to start writing, which is both scary and exciting !

Hey! I am an Phd student in law, so I am not sure you'd be interested in what I read / am reading for my thesis to be honest! :) Last time I studied French lit, it was in highschool, so that feels like a looong time ago haha

baffling to me how people don't like something (in this case, tea that was gifted by a visiting japanese professor) and just go "well, we should just throw it away" assuming everyone will dislike it because they do. my mom really indoctrinated that "ne dis pas que c'est mauvais, dis que tu n'aimes pas" in my brain.
#she also couldn't believe i actually like said tea#she was like you don't need to pretend to be polite#i'd rather die that tell someone i don't like their gift first of all#and i will bring all the tea home to properly enjoy it

I finished grading the first paper of the semester and I had the two classes I teach yesterday, so the rest of the week is going to be focused on my thesis work!!
I need to finish the corrections on my dissertation plan, so I can send it back to my director in around a week. That should be enough time to do it properly, unlike last time :')

my little sister is in Paris with her boyfriend (cute little holiday) but they are the worst suckers you can imagine (des pigeons !!!) : they are having breakfast at the Eiffel Tower, the croissants are 5 EUROS each and they look exaclty like the ones you buy frozen to cook yourself at home, probably the worst croissant of all Paris
AND considering you have to pay to go up the Tower, it's a VERY expensive croissant (with a view, sure)
