This guy hasn't even heard of Victor Lustig
Sold the Eiffel Tower to a scrap dealer, and got that same scrap dealer to give him a bribe in the process
Correctly deduced that the above scrap dealer would be to embarassed to go to the police, so he then pulled the same con again with a different scrap dealer
Sold a sheriff a box that he claimed printed perfectly undetectable counterfeit bills (it didn't it was just a box) and when the guy realized he'd been conned and hunted Lustig down, Lustig told him he was just using it wrong and gave the guy a bunch of money (all counterfeit) as 'compensation'
Conned fucking Al Capone in the silliest way possible. He asked Capone for a 50 grand investment on a scheme, then did nothing with the money, and then claimed his scheme had failed and returned the money in full. Capone was so impressed by Lustig's "honesty" that Lustig was able to convince him to just outright give him five grand for free.
A con artist to the end, when finally caught he briefly escaped jail by faking an illness (the universe loves irony though, so he died of pneumonia in Alcatraz)
His death certificate listed his job as "apprentice salesman"
"con artist" is maybe the profession with the biggest gap between How Cool They Are In Media and How Cool They Are In Real Life

Happy 19th anniversary to Amazing Mirror! I’ve only played a little bit, but once I get in the mood, I’ll play it some more.
#ah katam... what a bizarre little kirby game#very fun but objectively weird#gameplay wise it somehow manages to play like a metroidvania but without the unlockable abilities that define the genre#lore wise it's just flagship making up whatever bullshit sounded cool and accidentally managing to write meta knight in character#and then 10 years later kumazaki had to work it into the canon to legitimize it as a real entry in the series#10/10
