You can do it! I'm self taught just like most you'll find here. Started mid 2010ish on and off? If you've got internet you've got the resources; I've paid for maybe 2/3 dedicated art teaching books this whole time.

Main thing I'd recommend is to develop an eye for breaking down the world around you into shapes and colors and stuff. I do it while driving or whatever. Doesn't need to take over your life, but putting these abstract visual concepts into your own words helps a lot in giving yourself direction.

These sorta comments are always the most surreal to read (but very cool). I still have a screenshot from when i reached 100 followers on twitter....
