The robotic adoptive parents of DG. They originated from Milltown under the leadership of Father View. Both Hank and Em were selected and programed with specific protocols to love and protect the long-lost princess of the O.Z. Hank and Em, along with little DG, were spirited away to the Otherside (Earth) in secrecy only to escape the looming darkness that wants her dead.
In addition in safeguarding the girl, Hank would teach stories and nursery rhymes for DG to memorize in preparation for her return to their shared world. Throughout her life in Kansas, DG had no knowledge of what her “parents” were until her dreams of the “Lavender Eye Woman” were becoming more prominent.
I thought I should to share this. Different topic but no less important.
“Maggie, a seasoned performer herself, found her own smaller role exhausting, hardly able at the close of a shooting day to drag herself home. But Judy, coping with much, much more, never seemed at a loss for energy. The older woman, fearing the truth, asked about this; and Judy told her she was given ‘a lot of pills to sleep and a lot of pills to stay awake.’
Maggie was horrified ‘Why do you take them? Why don’t you refuse?’ She demanded.
‘Well, I just can’t seem to either get up or go to sleep without them anymore.’ The young girl replied.”

An accident that unleashed an ancient evil into the O.Z. An accident that caused all the suffering and despair for 15 annuals. An accident that caused a certain innocent soul to fall into darkness.
Who would've thought that the show's most stunning, but vile antagonist is perhaps the greatest victim of them all? Evil is not born, but made?
Descendants of ancestors Princess Dorothy (Grey) Gale and quite possibly Queen Ozma (magical heritage), DG and Azkadellia are the daughters of Queen “Lavender Eyes” and King Consort “Ahamo”.
Since childhood, the sisters were very close and had a powerful magical bond that protected them as long they were together. But after that tragic day in the ancient cave, fate had pitted the sisters against each other and set them both in a thrilling race to retrieve the Emerald of the Eclipse. Whichever sister finds the emerald, the fate of O.Z would be determined.
No matter where we find ourselves, home is where the heart is.
Each of these characters are on a journey to find or recover their identities. To restore what has been lost or broken whenever life gets messy. One of the underline themes of Tin Man is that finding your identity is finding power within yourself.
