Bonita, Bonito
Based on an @dos-oroguitas hc
Carlos had always been protective of his Bonita, Bonito, but what happens when he takes it a bit too far
also tried to add Gn compliments by switching up the suffixes I use regarding the reader :)) sry if she is used sometimes it’s a force of habit 😭
this is a draft I’ve had for a while but now I’m finally posting it lol another note I’m not a native Spanish speaker however I am learning at school :D
TW: fighting, small open wounds, minor mention of blood, drowning ??? (no one dies dw)
Word Count: 2, 590 ??
“I don’t get how this much stupid can fit inside one person,” Y/N pressed a ball of cotton onto his fresh cut.
“Sorry, sorry, but he tried to steal from Ms.Maria of all people, how could I stay out of it?” Carlos explained.
“Not saying you shouldn’t have done anything,” they started wrapping a bandage around his arm, “I’m saying you shouldn’t have started the interaction by punching the guy in the face.”
“How else would I have done it?” he looked at them expectantly.
“Hm,” they faked deep thought, “maybe a, ‘hey give that back!’ or something less violent.”
“Like he would’ve listened!” He was about to go on when they gave him a look, and he faltered.
The two of them had been together for a while, but Carlos was still unsure about a lot of things about them. Whether or not they should be together was one, his Abuela would claim they shouldn’t be if she knew about them that is.
But one thing he knew for sure was that they’d always look out for him, and try to keep him out of trouble. He was lucky to have them.
“Mi Amor, I’m proud you stepped in, but you know Señora Pepa doesn’t like when you get into fights,” they waved a finger at him, “and neither do I!”
“I know, I know,” he rolled his eyes, knowing they were probably right. His mom had told him many times to stay out of street fights, but most of the time he couldn’t help himself. “Yet you still secretly stitch me up to help me hide from Julieta.”
“That’s because you’re too much of an idiot to pull this off yourself,” they pulled the bandage and pinned it.
“Ah, not so tight!” he winced, “And yeah, I’d be lost without my Bonita bonito.”
At that moment, they were hiding in the nursery while Pepa and Julieta were out in the market. Usually, for wounds as few as he had now, he’d just let them heal, but the annual harvest celebration was in a couple of days and Carlos knew his mother would be looking him over three times a day to make sure he appeared ‘presentable’ as she would say.
He started singing their praises, “With their gorgeous eyes and cute hair, my Bonita, Bonita!” He truly thought they were amazing.
Y/N let out a sigh, smiling to themself as they started cleaning a cut on his cheek.
Carlos took this as an opportunity, “You know, a kiss would probably work better than whatever that is,” he motioned to the alcohol in their hand.
They raised an eyebrow, “And why would I want to kiss your open wound?”
His once smug expression dropped into an angry pout, “Because I’m your cariño!” What other reason would there be?”
They couldn’t help but smile at his small outburst and kissed his cheek, “Of course.”
___________
“You know you aren’t slick,” Camilo teased, “I can see your eyes searching for them.”
Camilo and Carlos had headed down to the village to help decorate, mainly because Abuela insisted it was their ‘duty as Madrigals’ to do so. But of course, Carlos had ulterior motives.
“Leave me alone,” Carlos glared at him.
“I’ll let you know if I see you, Bonita, Bonita!” He said the compliment in a mocking tone.
“Stop!” Carlos sent him another look and Camilo just laughed.
Turning back to his quest, his eyes lit up when he spotted them in a crowd, stringing up a line of paper butterflies.
“Ay, Bonita, bonito,” he appeared beside them, absentmindedly scratching at the bandage on his arm, as he usually did with new ones, “what is my lovely príncipe up to today?”
“What does it look like?” They grinned up at him, “decorating like I’m supposed to be, you should try it.”
“But you do it so much better than I could,” he grinned, “might as well leave it to the professionals.”
Y/N rolled their eyes at his antics, “Then leave me to my work, mi amor.”
Leaning his shoulder against a nearby building, he watched as they did their thing. He didn’t really get why they loved helping so much, whether it be him or the village they were always ready to and he admired them for it.
Carlos would always curse himself for only being able to show love through a nickname, but it was the only thing he could think of to do without giving away they were together since others would often call them bonito he’d just blend in.
But of course, they’d know the significance when he said it and that was enough for him. They knew he’d do anything for them, and he really would. And that claim would be tested.
Every year during the festival, a sort of musical parade would travel all around Encanto, and Carlos’ attention was brought away from Y/N to said paraders, who were currently practicing.
Everyone who’d been decorating stopped and watched with glee as the parade passed. Most were clapping along to the beat, while a select few were singing the familiar tune of the Family Madrigal.
Mirabel had written it as a commemorative song for their family and their miracle.
Carlos had been in a few of the parades himself playing a few instruments, and he was never shy to sing his part, even now when he wasn’t in the parade.
“The shapeshifting twins, Camilo and Carlos,” he pulled them away from their work to dance with him, enjoying the smile that appeared on their face, “both love their family, helpful in their own way.”
“I should get back to work,” Y/N laughed, trying to escape this dance they’d been roped into.
“Come on,” Carlos pulled them closer, “you can take a little break.”
They rolled their eyes but didn’t fight it anymore.
As they danced around, enjoying the sudden music, he noticed Y/N glancing over his shoulder, into the crowd, but he couldn’t figure out who they were looking at.
“Bonita, are you alright?” he asked, still trying to figure out what was wrong.
“I’m fine, just tired,” they forced a smile, but Carlos could tell they weren’t telling the truth.
Following their gaze one more time he settled on a small group of boys. He didn’t know them too well, but they seemed to be making Y/N upset, and he wasn’t about to let it slide.
_____
“Do you enjoy ruining my productivity?” Y/N asked as they started measuring some flour.
The next morning, just before the celebration officially started, Y/N had come over to help Julieta finish off some extra desserts.
Music and laughter could already be heard from outside, and Carlos was eager to get them out of the kitchen to hang out with him.
“No, I just want you to hang out with me, but,” he rolled his shoulders, “ I guess if you really want me to leave you be, you could tell me which one of those boys was bothering you.”
They gave him a questioning look, “What boys?”
“You know,” he tried to keep his motives inconspicuous, “the ones you were staring at yesterday.”
“Oh,” Y/N waved the question off, “didn’t think it was that noticeable. That one guy, Nicolas, messing with me one time but it wasn’t that big of a deal.”
Carlos didn’t really get why what they said made him so mad but it did. He knew Nicolas from school but never really ever regarded him.
“Right,” he’d have to fix this, something would have to be done.
_____
Later that day the streets of Encanto were just about as crowded as they could get. Everyone was waiting for the parade to start.
Everyone except Carlos.
Currently, he was by the water at the edge of town. He could hear the music from town but that wasn’t his concern.
He was waiting for Nicolas to show up.
“Camilo, have you seen Carlos anywhere?” Y/N raised their voice to talk over the crowd. They’d seen him earlier the day but he’d disappeared.
“No, I haven’t seen him since we left Casita this afternoon,” Camilo did a quick scan of the crowd but still his brother was nowhere to be found.
While Y/N continued looking for Carlos, an announcement went out. The parade had been postponed because they couldn’t find Nicolas.
At first, they didn’t pay it any mind, but then it sort of clicked in their head. Carlos and Nicolas were both missing, and they knew why.
The fact that the whole town was looking for Nicolas now made everything that much more chaotic. Y/N had to find him before he did anything stupid.
“Just apologize and all this doesn’t need to happen,” Carlos crossed his arms.
Nicolas snorted, “Why would I?”
“Because you hurt my bonito!” He was frustrated. How could he not get it?
“Bonito?” Nicolas shook his head, “I think la Perra fits better.”
That’s when Carlos swung.
It was a satisfying crunch that sounded when Carlos’ fist contacted his nose, and soon enough he felt a sharp pain in his shoulder.
He knew it wasn’t a good idea to do what he was doing but he didn’t care anymore. He couldn’t just talk like that and not pay. He wouldn’t let it happen.
The two ended up in the water and Carlos almost didn’t hear when Y/N called his name. The ringing in his ears was too loud.
Y/N was just mad, they didn’t reach him sooner. They’d never seen Carlos fight, only the aftermath. They didn’t expect it to be this ugly. So they just stood there dumbfounded as Carlos shoved a boy's head underwater.
They knew they should’ve done something should’ve stepped in but what could they do?
Carlos didn’t know exactly what he was doing, or how long he planned to hold him down, the air bubbles brushing against his arm, but he didn’t really get to decide.
“Carlos! What are you doing!” A feminine voice spoke up.
Y/N whipped around to see Dolores looking at the three of them in horror.
Carlos let go of Nicolas who fumbled to his feet before running off, and Carlos didn’t even try to stop him.
Dolores started yelling at him, that was one of the only times he’d ever heard her yell, but he couldn’t take his eyes off Y/N.
Y/N themself were looking him over. His hair was out of place, and there was a throbbing bruise on his forehead. The old cut on his face had reopened, his nose was bleeding, and blood was lightly smeared over most of his face.
Carlos wanted to say something but he couldn’t think of anything to say. The taste of blood in his mouth seemed to keep him from it.
Eventually, Dolores handled the whole situation, and the ringing in his ears never stopped. He’d almost forgotten a whole parade was going on when Dolores dragged him away.
He got one last glance at Y/N, his Bonita before they were lost in the crowd.
_____
Carlos expected his mother to scream at him, and his father to back her in his grounding. He expected Abuela to hit him with a wooden spoon as she used to when he was younger. And he expected Camilo and Mirabel to ask him way too many questions.
But he didn’t expect essentially no contact with bonito.
Though it was rare, he’d be sent out to run errands for the family, the town being generally oblivious to what happened, and he’d often catch glimpses of them, but they’d never respond to his advances.
A glance in the opposite direction when he waved at them, and other such avoidances made him feel awful.
Had he really messed up everything with them trying to avenge them?
He couldn’t stop thinking about it.
Everyone in the house noticed how Carlos’ mood worsened, and they all chalked it up to just being upset about his punishment. But Carlos had never been mad about punishment, not really caring enough, but no one thought about it for long enough to realize that.
All besides Camilo. He’d missed his brother being himself and he wasn’t going to let this ruin his brother's personality. So he had to do some planning of his own.
_____
Carlos was sent out into town to get whatever was on the list, he didn’t care to notice. He was distraught.
Life without his Bonita, Bonita was something he’d never imagined. Even if they never went public they’d always promised to stay together no matter what.
But there he was without them, and them without him. Though, Carlos assumed they were ok with that.
As he rounded the corner to where he was told to be, he paused, it was Nicolas walking right in his direction.
Carlos would’ve taken this opportunity to fight, and sure enough, he was about to when suddenly someone grabbed his ruana and dragged him into an alleyway.
“Ugh!” He groaned as he landed on the ground, dusting the dirt off his clothes, “what's your problem?” He looked up to see who had done this to him.
It was Y/N. Bonito. “I have no problem,” he’d missed the sound of their voice, “you were just about to do something stupid, and I needed to stop you.”
Even now they were keeping him out of trouble. “Thanks, I,” he stumbled to his feet, “I’ve been wanting to talk to you.”
They were silent.
“Please, just hear me out,” Carlos tried not to sound as emotionally constipated as he was, “I have a lot of explaining to do.”
Y/N wavered, “Right, right, sorry I've been, I’ve been, avoiding you,” they stuttered a bit, “what did you wanna talk about?”
Carlos hadn’t expected to get this far, at least this fast, “Bonita, I'm sorry I did what I did.” He sat down and they sat down in front of him, “I just since we can’t go public I guess I, I overcompensate when it comes to protecting you.”
“Carlos-.” “Please let me finish,” It wasn’t often that Carlos opened up, and he didn’t know how long he’d be able to keep it going, “what I did was still wrong, and I’m sorry.”
He went quiet. He didn’t know what else to say.
“Well, I forgive you, doesn’t justify what you did,” they pointed a finger at him, “but I understand why. You wanted to show your love, but believe me you’ve done it in better ways,” they kissed his cheek.
“So you aren’t-.”
“Mad? Oh I was, for a while, but it seems you’ve already beaten yourself up about it enough,” they managed a smile, and placed their hand on Carlos’ cheek, “so I’m not anymore.”
He leaned into the touch.
“I have to get home with some mangoes and flour or my family will start to get suspicious,” Carlos held up his list.
“Right I’ll come with you,” they grabbed his hand, “ no need for you to get into any more fights.”
He grinned, nodding.
Carlos hadn’t fully forgiven himself, but the fact that they’d forgiven him would be enough for the time. He’d missed having them by his side, and he hoped he’d never go without them again
His Bonita, bonito.
__________
From the height of my Carlos obsession 😌, hope you enjoyed the story :)) also in case you are wondering Camilo planned the whole interaction, there are no coincidences heheehehehe
Have a nice day and night !! 🌺

A note of inactivity + A thank you
So to start this off but I don’t want anyone to think that I’m quitting this blog or leaving for anything, because I’m not. This is just a note to say that I’ve essentially fallen out of my Encanto phase.
When I first watched the movie in December I fell in love with it not only because I saw myself in the full cast of POC characters but because it brought closer to my family and gave me the confidence to speak up to them about topics including but not limited to the generational trauma in our family. So the movie means a lot to me.
After that I started this blog and was pretty active in the fandom, and of course I still love it. It introduced me to tumblr and helped me get better at writing.
But now I think I’ve gotten out of the phase. It started when I deleted one of my scripts and as of rn I only have a little attachment to Camilo and Carlos, and Pepa because I’m writing about her still, but other than that I’m not obsessed as I was before.
It all still means a lot to me but I think I’ve moved on to another fandom that also resonates a lot with me.
I’m still going to be posting Pepa’s story but I won’t be as active with the one shots and headcanons.
Im also not as crazy about Julieta and Agustin as I was before because for some reason I got an unexplainable ick however I still think they’re great characters.
I also think for my current mental state it’d be healthier to focus on characters my age which is why if I ever came back I’d probably focus on Camilo and Carlos or strictly the grown-ups when they were younger.
Thank for all the support I’ve received on this acc you don’t know how much your kind words, and reblogs, and likes mean to me, and have given the confidence to keep writing things.
I don’t know if it’s cemented itself with my comfort fandoms, but I will definitely always have fond memories of being in this fandom and watching the movie for first time.
Just wanted to thank you all but also let you know that I’ve moved on.
Sorry if this seems incredibly dramatic I got really attached to Encanto and kind of feel weird letting it go but I think I was too attached anyways so it’s better and healthier for me to move on, while still acknowledging it’s a good movie that helped me a lot.
Thank you all for everything :D and truly, Have a nice day and night !! 💐

Triplets of Encanto Book 1: Pepa Madrigal
Chapter 3: Just Because
before the 3rd generation of Madrigals were navigating the world, their parents dealt with their own struggles. so let’s go back a couple decades and see what life was like for them.
Pepa gets a note from who she assumes is Felix, and they get to talking by a stream
A/N: Happy Valentine’s Day!! Here’s the next chapter :)
Word Count: 2, 036
tw: mentions of racism, death, and fears
First Part, Next Part
Tumblr media
Pepa heard all the comments about her in the halls, and she tried her best to not let them get to her. She didn’t want to hurt someone again.
Especially an innocent bystander like yesterday.
“Sólo baila para Siempre!” Bruno clapped along to the beat of the song he was singing, “en Este Encanto Amado!”
It was lunchtime and they were all eating under a small clump of trees behind the schoolhouse, and Julieta and Pepa were dancing along to a song Pepa had written, which was currently being performed by Bruno.
The leaves on the trees were the freshest green, and despite the humidity, the heat cast a welcomed subtle glow on everything, giving it all a sort of brightness.
“Amada Encanto!” Pepa echoed, twirling around, enjoying the way the wind felt blowing through her red locks.
She couldn’t hear anything negative anyone was saying about her over the rushing wind and Bruno’s voice.
As they were dancing under their tree, Pepa absentmindedly scanned the small crowd of students eating outside for Felix.
Not because she was obsessed with him or anything, actually she didn’t know exactly why she did, but when she saw him sitting on a bright yellow blanket laughing at something his friend had said she couldn’t help but smile.
After a while, Bruno went to go talk to one of his friends and Julieta sat down to eat some mango slices she’d brought. Pepa was still dancing to a tune that was now in her head.
“Are you gonna eat anything?” Julieta asked.
Pepa shook her head, “No, I’m alright.”
But slowly, as time progressed Pepa was soon not alright.
She could hear all the words and passing comments they said about her, all discussing her flaws and supposed wrongdoings.
She was getting dizzy and it felt like the event playing was on a broken recordset to her least favorite song.
Pepa felt the light snow settling on her shoulders and chilling them.
“Pepi,” Julieta suddenly calling her name took her out of her thoughts, “do you need to step aside?”
She nodded. Right, she could just step aside.
Making her way around the groups of sitting people she could feel the eyes on her.
It was a glance now and again but they landed on her just as tangibly as the balls of paper that were thrown at her the day before.
Soon enough everyone was looking at her and no one was trying to hide it.
She did look pretty outlandish standing off in a corner with a cloud growing over her head, but she still wished they wouldn’t look at her.
Noticing this, Julieta tried subtly distracting their attention, but nothing she tried doing seemed to be more interesting than Pepa and her emotions.
Bruno was somewhere with his friends so he couldn’t help.
It was all brewing inside her as she felt like she was about to explode when another much louder voice came to her defense.
“Hey, why don’t you all mind your own business!”
Everyone suddenly turned their attention to Felix, who continued.
“You’d be a bit stressed out too if your emotions were always on display, so back off!”
Though a bit of quiet confusion ensued, soon they all did turn away.
She’d underestimated just how popular Felix was, and just his quick everyone would be to just do what he said.
Pepa had calmed down and the day went on from there but she couldn’t stop thinking about that moment. The only thoughts that interrupted were realizations about how stupid it all was.
The only thing that brought her attention away from the past was a note appearing on her desk.
It was folded crudely, and she could see part of the red text that was scribbled on it.
Being sure that the teacher wasn’t looking in her direction, she unfolded it.
It read, ‘Pepa, meet me by the mango tree after school, signed anon.’
All of Pepa’s better judgment told her she shouldn’t trust it, and shouldn’t go to the mango tree after school.
But she decided to anyway.
What was the worst that could happen?
_____
“It’s alright you guys can go on,” Pepa smiled at her siblings, “I’ll catch up with you later.”
“Why? Did the teacher give you detention?” There was clear worry in Juli’s voice.
“No, I’m just,” Pepa’s eyes drifted as she thought, “meeting some friends real quick.”
Julieta simply looked over at Bruno before furrowing her brows, “Pepi, are you sure? I mean-.”
“You don’t have any friends, Pepi,” Bruno spoke bluntly, earning a hit on the arm from Juli.
“Well today I spoke to some nice girls in the class,” Pepa was surprised at how quickly she came up with the lie.
The two other Madrigals still seemed hesitant.
“Promise! I’ll be fine,” Pepa shooed them away, “now go!”
Sharing one last look, Bruno and Julieta walked off, glancing back a few times at Pepa as they did.
Despite how much it annoyed her at times she was thankful her siblings were so protective of her.
Leaning her back on the school, she stared at the mango tree, zoning out on the yellow, green, and orange-colored fruits as she waited for whoever wrote her the note to arrive.
“Pepa?”
Pepa was shocked from her resting stance, forcing her eyes to focus, and turning to whoever called her name.
It was Felix.
Felix had given her the note.
“Felix!” She couldn’t hide her smile, “I’ve been waiting for you.”
Felix furrowed his brows, “You’ve been waiting here alone? With all the people out to get you?” he looked around.
“Well, yeah,” Pepa had already come to terms with, and ultimately decided to ignore the risks, “I told my sibling to go home without me.”
Felix looked at her like she was crazy. Pepa Madrigal was crazy. But he couldn’t bring himself to feel any negative emotion towards the red-headed girl grinning at him, the gap between her teeth in full display.
He’d always thought it was cute.
“Right, I’ll walk you home,” Felix took her hand, hiding his face, “come on, your house is by mine anyways.”
Pepa however, didn’t try to hide hers. Positive emotions were the only ones she allowed herself to feel freely. The rainbows were always pretty.
Even though she was still scared of what might happen if she got too close to Felix, she was too happy at that moment to care.
But the silence between them was beginning to bug her, so she broke it.
“You know, I learned to sew before I could even walk! That’s just an expression of course, but I am good at sewing, I even made the dress I’m wearing. Along with the bow in my hair, along with my shoes. Not all of it I just stitched them up,” she went on, switching topics every few seconds based upon her train of thought.
Felix had no idea what Pepa was saying, but he listened.
She seemed so excited about it. How could he not?
The main things he got from the conversation were that Pepa was good at sewing, she liked yellow, and she could talk faster than anyone Felix had ever met.
“And that’s why Bruno loves his rats so much, but I, hey!” Pepa suddenly left Felix’s side and ran into some foliage on the road to her house, “we should visit the river! I promise it’s not far.”
He wondered how he’d ended up in this situation, “Are you sure you shouldn’t get home?”
“Very,” Pepa turned and essentially disappeared into the forest, “no come on!”
With no other option, Felix ran after her.
Soon enough, Pepa stopped by a small stream, steadily flowing into the horizon. Calming down, she sat silently on a rock, smiling at the colorful fish that swam along.
Felix sat down in the dirt beside her, noticing a lizard running through the leaves.
Pepa took a deep breath. The air always seemed cleaner by the stream, despite the somewhat strange smell that always lingered there.
Letting her fingers rest upon the top of the water, Pepa absentmindedly relished in the feeling of the water running over her fingertips.
“Why did you bring me here?” Felix spoke quieter than before, feeling it’d be inappropriate to speak louder in such a quiet environment.
Pepa had honestly almost forgotten she was there, “I just wanted to share it with you,” she looked over at him.
She couldn’t ignore how weirdly ethereal he seemed just sitting there.
The light his hair just right, making it sparkle, and anyone else would’ve said his brown eyes were boring, but Pepa would know from that that they’d never seen brown eyes in the sun.
They put her green ones to shame.
His skin was clearer than hers, and he just seemed perfect at that moment, everything did.
“Can I ask you a weird question?” Pepa returned to gazing off into the water.
“Sure.”
“What’s your biggest fear?”
Felix was caught off guard by that but he came to his senses quickly, “The ocean.”
Her eyes widened, “You’ve seen it?”
He nodded, “Just once when I was ten, I went on a trip with my father to visit one of his friends, and it was beautiful at first, but then I almost got swept away by it,” Felix shivered, “never again.”
Pepa stifled a laugh, “Right.”
“What about you?”
Pepa felt as though her fear would bring the mood down, but she couldn’t back out now.
“In all honesty, the unknown ,” she sensed the silence coming so she continued, “mainly because of my emotions, I’m just scared of anything where I’m not at least a little aware of how it’ll feel, having a child, getting married, death, it all freaks me out. Especially having a daughter, I can't imagine her turning out like me.”
Pepa waited for his reaction if he even reacted at all.
But he didn’t say anything.
That had done it. Pepa had freaked him out.
“Well I think any kid would be lucky to have you as a mom and don’t try to argue,” he pointed his finger at her, “I’ve already heard all the rumors and such, but I stand by what I said.”
Pepa didn’t know what to say, so she just smiled at him.
“And since we’re sharing genuine fears,” Felix let out a sigh, “I’d say the future.”
He went silent for a moment, and Pepa just waited for him to go on, not interrupting.
“Some people, a lot of people, aren’t the nicest because I’m darker than everyone else, I try not to let it get me down but,” he shook his head, “it scares me sometimes what it might mean for my future.”
Pepa nodded. She wanted to say she understood but she didn’t. She was about as pale as they come, but she did say, “I’m there if you ever want to talk.”
“Same here,” Felix grinned up at her, before standing, “we should get going now,” he held out his hand.
She took it and told him to go before they got too close to her house, no need for her mom to get all fussy over this boy she’d just met.
“Pepi!”
She saw Juli and Bruno running to meet her.
“Hey guys,” she noticed their concern, “what’s up?”
“Bruno decided to just now tell me about the note,” Julieta shot him a look.
“Sorry! I didn’t think they’d do it!” Bruno defended himself.
“What are you talking about?” Pepa was confused.
“Well, I heard some girls talking about giving you a fake love note so you’d meet them outside and they could mess with you,” he avoided her eyes, “sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.”
Pepa almost didn’t care, she was not just trying to put some pieces together in her head.
If Felix hadn’t written her the note, he’d walked her home, listened to her, sat with her, been there for her, all that, just because he was that nice.
How could anyone be that nice?
“It’s alright Bruno, I forgive you,” she spoke absentmindedly, before heading inside.

Agustin and Bruno go ice skating, what could go wrong?
Triplets era fanfic they’re all around 16 in this
Word Count: 1, 147
A/N: ok since I wanna post the next chapter of the triplets story on Valentine’s Day bc it involves a date and like it’d be perfect, here’s this till then. I love writing about them sm so I had to do this one next :D I actually really like this story a lot sm so that I might add this into Bruno’s story (tweaked a bit ofc to fit the rest of it) but yeah here it is
“Come on, Bruno!” Agustin had followed the shorter boy home, “it’ll be fun!”
Agustin had been trying to convince Bruno to go ice skating with him, while also expressing that there would be no risk to him.
“I already agreed, I just have to ask Julieta.”
Agustin raised an eyebrow, “Julieta?”
“Yeah, we usually let her know where we’re going just in case we get hurt she knows where we are.”
“How would she know if you were hurt?”
Bruno gave him a look, “If I’m going somewhere with you, one of us is getting hurt.”
“Hey!” Agustin wanted to argue but he knew he was right.
After letting Julieta know what was going, Bruno went and put on every warm garment he could find.
“Don’t you think that’s enough?” Agustin asked, as he was simply wearing some thick black pants, and a navy blue overcoat.
“Not yet,” Bruno was already wearing three layers as he slipped on his signature ruana, and a brown and green patterned hat, “now we can go.”
Agustin held the door open, “Can you even walk like that?”
“Of course I can,” Bruno was used to wearing this many layers in the winter. He was always cold even when it wasn’t winter so when it was he’d never leave the house without all his sweaters, “Now where’s this lake?”
Agustin had almost forgotten, but soon he perked up, “Right, right, come on!” He grabbed Bruno’s arm and pulled him along, “It’s behind my house.”
Bruno had to jog to keep up with Agustin and his long legs, “Ok, ok, slow down!”

“Here it is!” Agustin stared down at the lake, seeming proud that he’d found it, despite it being within view of anyone passing his house.
The two of them had already put on their makeshift skates, and now they were staring down the vast lake before them.
“Are you sure it’s frozen enough?” Bruno put his hand on Agustin’s shoulder before testing the ice with his foot.
“Nope!” Agustin took a few confident strides out onto the ice, “but it’s the only lake in Encanto that’s even close to it.”
Bruno wondered how he’d ended up with such an unaware idiot as a best friend, on a half-frozen lake.
He definitely was not moving. He was fine on the edge.
Agustin noticed his hesitation, “Come on!” he went and took both of Bruno’s hands, “come with me!” He dragged out the last syllable.
“No, stop, stop!” Bruno started screaming as Agustin slowly slid him across the ice.
He started laughing, “Bruno, Bruno, calm down! We don’t have to go to the center!”
Bruno was out on an unfrozen lake with Agustin as his protector.
Agustin.
Bruno was sure he was about to die.
“Alright, I’ll stop pulling you, but now you have to watch my performance,” Agustin let go of Bruno and started walking off, slipping with every step.
“What performance?” Bruno called after him, trying his best to move without moving.
“My performance for you!” Agustin started spinning around, “so you know I appreciate you.”
“Just don’t hurt yourself!”
Bruno wasn’t sure what he was watching but it was a hilarious sight to see Agustin sliding around on the ice trying to hang on to what little choreography he prepared.
He also started singing what Bruno recognized as the Family Madrigal, which at that point had only 6 verses.
“He’s really trying it,” Bruno muttered to himself, not being able to help the laughter that followed.
After a while he felt his face growing red from the cold and so many snowflakes had settled on his eyelashes he was practically blind.
“Are you done yet?” He had started inching closer to him, “I feel very appreciated already.”
“Almost,” Agustin threw his hand up to the sky and started yelling, “I want everyone to know Bruno Madrigal Is my best friend!”
“Stop, you don’t need to be so loud,” Bruno put his hand over his mouth, but couldn’t help but smile.
“Hey!” Agustin returned the smile, “I got you to come to the center.”
Bruno hadn’t even noticed how far he’d strayed from the land. “Right.” And he immediately started heading back.
“No! You have to skate with me for a bit.”
Despite how scared he still was, he and Agustin skated around a bit, Agustin almost falling several times, and Bruno staying in pretty much the same place the whole time.
“Ok, now I’m going,” Bruno started for the edge and Agustin followed after him.
Moving slowly trying not to lock his knees he-.
“Ahhh!”
Bruno whipped around when he heard Agustin scream but all worry faded when he saw that he’d simply face planted.
“I’m ok!” He held up a thumbs up and Bruno rolled his eyes, knowing his nose was probably in shambles.
“Don’t worry!” Bruno yelled, “I see Julieta in the distance.”
_____
Agustin hadn’t seen Bruno in days, and since Julieta had gone on a trip to the city, and Felix had gone to visit some family friends he was alone.
That wasn’t entirely true, he had Pepa, but that interaction, well…
“Hey Pepa!” He grinned at her.
She looked at him, blank faced, “What?”
“Wanna hangout?”
“No”
…Didn’t go as planned.
So he went to check on Bruno.
Casita let him in easily, and when he didn’t find Bruno in his room he checked the nursery.
“Bruno?” He slowly opened the door to see his best friend in bed, “are you alright?”
Bruno quickly sat up, “Yeah I’m fine,” he stifled a cough, “what are, why are you here?”
“I haven’t heard from you in a while,” he narrowed his eyes, “what’s going on?”
Bruno stared at him for a while and Agustin stared back.
“Don’t make me count to-.”
“Fine! Sorry! I’m sick because we stayed outside and I didn’t wanna tell you so you wouldn’t feel bad!” Bruno hid his face in his blanket.
Agustin didn’t expect it to be that easy.
“Aw,” he went and sat on the edge of the bed, “why’d you think I’d feel bad?”
“Because you invited me outside, so I just decided to hide until I got better.”
Despite the fact that Agustin did kinda feel bad, he acted like he didn’t, “Well I don’t, and the least you could do is let me help you get better, since Julieta is away.”
“Uh,” Bruno furrowed his brows, “do you think that’s a good idea?”
“Trust me,” Agustin waved it off, “what could go wrong?”
_____
“You two are just about the stupidest people I know,” Julieta brought two arepas to the nursery, and gave one to both Bruno and Agustin, who were now sick.
“I did it out of the goodness of my heart!” Agustin’s words were muffled as he shoved the food in his mouth.
Bruno laughed, “Told you we’d get hurt.”
“Shut up!”

Paper Snowflakes ❄️ + 80 followers !!
Encanto Triplets Era Oneshot, Julieta x Agustin, platonic or romantic
Julieta is stressed and Agustin decides to help her distress ❄️
A/N: I love these two sm (they’re my mains in my script) so for my first milestone post I had to write about them and Y/N!! About that thank you so much for 80 followers!! I was gonna celebrate 69 but I passed that so quickly and like thank you sm I can’t believe so many people wanna see what I post I still can’t wrap my head around it, love you all SO MUCH !! Anyways here’s a shorter story to celebrate !!
Tumblr media
Julieta had been having a stressful week.
With taking care of the whole village’s injuries and trying to help her siblings through their woes, she’d barely had any time for herself.
As of right now she was trying to finish some of her homework in the dining room, as she focused best there.
Mumbling the answers to herself as she wrote them down, she heard a set of footsteps in the other room.
Eventually, Agustin appeared.
She wasn’t surprised, it wasn’t uncommon for him, or Felix to randomly come over to hangout or simply just to rest since Casita saw them as family.
Before she could ask what he needed Agustin blurted out, “Can I have some paper?” he motioned to the stack Julieta had in front of her.
“Sure,” she pushed it towards him, “take as much as you need.”
Nodding, Agustin took the whole stack and ran off.
She was a bit taken aback by that but went back to her work.
Soon she heard a loud crumpling noise, then a sharp ripping.
She sighed, trying to focus while Agustin seemingly destroyed all the paper he was given in the other room.
- 5 minutes later -
“Juli!”
She looked up to see Agustin again, but that didn’t really surprise her, “Hm?”
“Can I borrow your colored pencils?” he pointed to the open box of pencils.
“Um, yeah go ahead,” she moved on from math to her art project.
Just as before he took the box, and soon enough Julieta heard a violent scribbling in the other room.
- 5 minutes later (again) -
This time Agustin didn’t come to take anything but he returned the box of pencils, simply missing the blue ones.
Julieta furrowed her brows at the observation.
What was he doing?
- 5 minutes later (again again) -
Julieta had pretty much expected Agustin to come back and eventually he did.
At this point she was about to explode, “What is it now?”
“Can I borrow your scissors?”
“Mhm,” Julieta nodded, and Agustin grabbed them before running off again.
At that point, Julieta was used to the whole routine, but it took her a while to get used to constant sound of Agustin snipping away in the other room.
The sound would slowly drive her crazy.
- 5 minutes later (you know the drill) -
“Julieta!” Agustin ran into the room, a wide grin on his face.
She threw her hands up, “Ay, Agustin I’m busy!”
His face fell, “So you don’t want to see what I made?”
She sighed, “Sorry I yelled at you, what did you want to show me?”
The grin returned to his face, and revealed what he’d been holding behind his back.
It was a string of paper snowflakes, small drawings of the two of them dancing on each one in blue pencil.
It was adorable.
“I thought it would help you calm down,” he looked proud of what he’d done.
Despite how tired she was, Julieta managed a smile. This boy would be the death of her.
She stood and put her hands on her hips, “What am I going to do with you?”
He shrugged, “Kiss me?”
“Ah, your true motives are revealed,” Julieta narrowed her eyes, “but since you’ve been so kind.”
She leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.
His face went red and he wasn’t able to say much after that.
“Now go and get my scissors and paper,” she took the paper snowflakes from him, “you have to teach me how to make these.”
__________

Camilo and Carlos Madrigal Taking Care of You When You’re Sick
I’m sick and I’m still finishing up the next chapter of Pepa’s story and the 69 follower special so here’s this :))
I’ll be coming back to edit as i usually do :)
18+ dni they’re both 15 and that’s creepy
Camilo
When he first hears that you’re sick, he’d be really really worried about you to an almost irrational point with every possibility running through his head ranging from ‘what if their throat hurts so much they cry?’ to ‘what if they have a deadly disease?’ but that’s just because he’s dramatic
Once he reaches you and sees you aren’t dying he’d be fine and would start making jokes like ‘ew I can’t go near you’ etc. to try and cheer you up while making tea like like he did for Pepa
Then he’d probably ask Julieta for advice on what to do and what medicine to give you without letting her help directly because he wants to seem cool and educated lol
Once you get better he’d immediately plan a bunch of stuff for you two to do together to make up for all the time you were sick
Carlos
When he finds out you’re sick he’d be quick to go see how you were doing, and assess how bad you were feeling in a really serious manor like a stark contrast to his usual chaotic personality and it’d be kind of startling
He’d say reassuring things like ‘you’re gonna be fine’ ‘you’ll get better soon’ etc., half to help you and half to convince himself he doesn’t need to worry about you too much and that you’d be fine in the end
He’d make sure you were getting better and would check in to make sure you were taking you medicine and would sort of aggressively care for you lol
Even after you’ve gotten better he’d check to make sure you actually had and wouldn’t let you do anything too strenuous or that would potentially get you sick again until he deemed you well enough
Might write more if these for the other characters but currently I’m hyper fixating on the two of them
Have a nice day and night !! ☀️

Ok just wanna start this off with the fact that I’m not Colombian and am not trying to take this movie away from them or undermine their representation. But I am African American with a family that has a lot of shades and seeing the Madrigals be so many different shades and all be related meant so much to me this movie is amazing
This movie also brought me closer to my family, and all the different dynamics in the movie remind me of me and brother and me and some friends who are basically my family so it means a lot to me
Also Happy Black History Month !!
