I like the idea of the Killjoys being… good enough at keeping the girl alive, but sitcom idiots about what a child really is and does. Party gets all YOU CAN’T GIVE THE KID BEER WHAT ARE YOU, CRAZY? and the others are like I’m sorry! We didn’t know she had a problem!
It’s like… sure the 9 year old can drive a car. We’ll just teach her. She’s really just hangin’ with her 4 responsible-enough uncles who let her play with a magnifying glass in the desert sun and get the kid her very own pocket knife. All, of course she has a gun, we taught her how to shoot.
And in the end, I mean, she has killer survival skills… grows up to be a very independent young lady who eventually brings down the entirety of Better Living at what, age 14? They didn’t raise her right, but they raised her right.
