Degirue's vision cleared as Vagrant wiped his tears, he recognized his voice, he looked up at their friend, then looked at Somni, his eyes widened and immediately wrapped his arms around the both, burying their snooted face between them and started bawling, the muffled cries were very audible. They didn't sound like pain, but overwhelming joy of being able to feel love again and being safe. Their tail was wagging rapidly, he felt like home again.
In the real world where the adult Degirue was, he was hugging the pillow and buried his head in there weeping similary to his Magicant counterpart.
With feeling of natural love, everything around the three started to bloom, purple grass and pink sky started to form. It looked completely different from Degirue's previous Magicant. Trees started to form, a fountain faded in with a wrench as the statue. Cats were freely swimming in the rivers that caved it with clear warm water. There was no trace of any of figures from Degirue's past, but they've already been set free to a happier place they well deserved.
Degirue was happy...
He let go of the both and spoke,
"Let us return, you two look so exhausted..."
In a blink, the two of them were sent back, shorty after, Degirue finally woke up... He looked so much better, his eyes looked lively, his familiar smile from cheek to cheek. He saw Kino napping on the couch, it was already evening. He poked at him. Kino jolted awake with a little trill, "mrrrrp", like a feline and saw his husband fully recovered. Kino sprang up and hugged Degirue, who laughed and held onto him, Kino kissed Degirue on the cheek multiple times, the. they both pecked on the lips. They nuzzled eachother and purred loudly. Kino laid his head on the other gieeg's shoulder and rubbed his back, "My baby.... I'm so glad you're okay.....", Kino looked at the astral duo past Degirue, "My golly, you guys look beat....", he looked at the time, "Hmmm..... why not..... Do you guys want to grab something to eat very quick? I'll pay for it since you guys look like you've been through a bit to help my husband not collapse...".
Kino then scruffed the fur on Degirue's head, Kino pointed, "Now you're funky!", Degirue sighed, "I'm funky?", Kino nooded in response, "Yeah!", Degirue then stared for a moment and booped Kino's snoot quickly and lightly, "Boop! I win! Boops always win!". Kino lightly slapped his forehead, "Dork!". The way they interacted as a couple was strange yet adorable.

The light from the hall assailed Vagrant's eyes as they slipped out of their quarters and into the ship's kitchen. This was one of those nights where they couldn't sleep, no matter how exhausted they were. It seemed that these kinds of nights were becoming more common for them, lately...
They cracked the fridge open to look for something to quench their terrible thirst. They had been feeling under the weather lately, so creating something for themselves was out of the question. As the chill from the fridge washed over them, they began to notice a familiar sensation; a sort of tingling at the back of their mind.
This was a part of their own, unique power: anyone could 'summon' them with a thought. At first, they thought that it might have been Somnium reaching out to them to hurry up and come back, but upon a second evaluation, it felt more like it was coming from Degirue.
Vagrant grimaced. They didn't know if they had what it took to pull themselves towards the source of the call that they had received... not right now. At the same time, they had no way of telling Degirue that now wasn't a good time... they hoped that he wouldn't take it the wrong way.
Although, something about this call felt... different?
Vagrant shook their head, grabbed some tea, and made their way back into their quarters, where Somnium was (predictably) asleep. The human sat on the edge of their bed, waiting to see if the sensation would go away. There was a particular quality about it that felt... distressing. Was Degirue okay? They debated on going by themselves, just to check on their friend.
"Somnium, wake up. I think Degirue needs something." Vagrant gently shook the gieeg in an attempt to rouse them from their slumber. In response, they received a groan. Waking Somnium was... well, never easy, to say the least.
"Please, I yield... show some quarter for this tired, defeated gieeg..." Somnium whimpered.
"Somnium, I'm serious! I think that something might be up with Degirue!" Vagrant reiterated.
Somnium made a collection of sounds to illustrate their discontent, but gradually sat up. "You shouldn't be using that power, right now..."
"I know. But I can't shake the feeling that we're needed." Vagrant replied.
"Okay. But do not push yourself." Somnium urged. They took Vagrant's wrist.
Vagrant nodded, and then focused on the signal that had them worried. There was no need for them to get properly dressed, since they would be showing up in their astral form...
In the blink of an eye, both Vagrant and Somnium were out of their bodies, away from the ship. They had once again crossed into a universe that was different from their own.
However, they were not expecting what they had found...

The being only enduced more chaos, but it more of expressing ultimate distress,
It was starting to build
Tumblr media
it was a disastrous acid trip by senses everything from how it sounds to how it looks, to how it feels
Tumblr media
which led to a meltdown...
Tumblr media
Then everything came to an abrupt stop
It was completely white.... The duo was set onto a walkable floor, no tricks, no liquid floors, no quicksand, no inconveniences anymore...It seems like nothing, but fog that made the air dense..... but....
There was a familiar psionic presence in the mere corner, whimpering, trembling, it was so scared.... petrified.... overwhelmed....
it was a mere child, it had two large ears with squares for attenae, a very thick cloudy white coat with a creamish green tint covering every trace of its body, a large playful tail...
its tears either striked the floor and reverberated, or soaked into the fur on his face...

The final door...
The two placed all the shards in and the mint conditioned door opened itself...
Once the two came into the door,
Suddenly a bunch of green static faded in, red shilouettes of Degirue can be breifly seen in some areas, distorting away each appearance. At least that is what only a human mind can precieve...
For a gieeg, was they can possibly see within their dynamic range of vision and comprehension was pure terror, devastation, and overall a nightmare... It was what Degirue experienced whilst escaping his boss' wrath...
It was an amalgamation of Degirue's anger, fear, mourn, and sadness
The entity attempted to speak
'+_+$=|©×€¶{`[;#!*(∆¶[`}love...-°`}¢✓✓™`}{©{{|reunion....[`[©{©}¢[€]¥}©\=¢π`√[want...+/)#!")$/{`[€÷√™|×comfort...+`}€×€¶{`}
The English was only hardly audible, there was no possible way to inflict PSI attack due to the field being intangible and only had space like physics, every attack seemed to go super slow due to the infinite space around them...
There was one thing, and only thing to do....
*Cancel them out with what they desire and remind them of their own happiness*

The starman lashed out PK Beams along with a Starstorm. The copies retracted with some sort of PSI that psychologically manipulated the three in order to jab at them. This type of PSI was unknown, it was sort of like Giegue's usage of PSI influence on objects and animals, but it was for the sole purpose of destroying themselves.
The starman used power from being a former gieeg in order to resist it. He striked the opponents with an inexplicable attack, and saw that their chests were.... glowing?
The starman attempted to throw them both of them down, in which he did, killing the both, blood and guts splattering and dissapating, but the same effect happened to him due to mimic from their feeble minds and ended up wounded.
Two of the pieces of the last gold shard appeared and merged together.
The location was becoming chaos to the point of barely being able to walk, it was like if someone purposefully damaged the code within a videogame. The starman glitched into the gieeg with blue eyes. "Save him.... H-He is almost g-gone.... T-Tell him I will miss h-him....", the gieeg shriveled away...
One door left...
Somni and Vagrant now shall confront the center of Degirue's mind, only so little time to avenge him...

//tw: body horror
The starman sighed,
I can recall Degirue mentionning he once had a human friend once he crashed on Earth. And from his description of the place, I think this may be the terrain he was alluding to.... just an obsencely contorted version of it.
He made relations with a fellow human who provided him a place to sleep... but it's unlikely they would be here if Degirue didn't have a close enough bond to them...
All of a sudden, a black mass started to emerge from one of the buildings and splited into two. One of them shot up higher than the other. The two masses then started to form two familiar figures. The taller one grew large ears and a enlogated tail with claws and the shorter one formed messy hair and formed a dad bod.
It was Degirue's representation of their memory of the astral couple themselves.
Both forms then replicated their colors, however their eyes only consisted of hollowness and white dots and their forms looked unsettling disfigured with various black stains and blood stains, as if it were from a horror film. They moved and contorted around around disturbingly then spotted the three, staring like a deer in the headlights. Completely still....
What kind of trauma did Degirue even go through for his mind to be this plauged of mental illness?
The starman thought as they saw the representations looking dead at them.
W-What the hell...
The starman uttered in shock.
Both creatures started creeping forward and a unknown form of PSI started to emerge from them.

The door led to nothing but even more madness. It looked like a typical rural location on earth, but the grass was fake protested the physics of water, the sky was red with black particles rapidly moving alike to TV screen, and most of the buildings were even more bizarrely shaped than the first door. There were enemies that were "underwater" and the enemy had to be found. The surrounding noise was a lot of distorted alarm noises and occasional explosions that eventually started to destroy the place due to how loud it was. The target enemy already spotted them without them being aware, preparing for their first attack.

ive got a question from a certain yellow eyed, tough-as-nails, fluffy gieeg, do you have any psi? and if so, whats it like to be able to use them?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't really use too much PSI, and even though it seems cool, it's novelty wears off fairly quickly, but I've been training to increase it! ^^
Don't worry if you are not able to use PSI as a fellow gieeg, I'm sure you are not alone and that you are just as validated as any other creature!! :)
Embrace your uniqueness!! >:D

You seem pretty interested in human culture, for a Gieeg, but I also presume that it's probably pretty difficult to learn about humans when you're in space instead of on Earth. So here's my question to you: What are the top three burning questions you have about humans that you want answered? (They can be about anything: culture, physiology, psychology, etc)
Tumblr media
I have so many more questions, I even kept it in a long list a while ago! :D
I don't think I have it with me tho sadly... :(
Regardless, I can't wait after the war to visit your planet, it's been on my bucket list for ages!! ^^

The starman gave Vagrant the brush to give to the mook, the mook wrapped it's appendage around the handle, realizing how quickly they've adjusted to it. The ceiling was starting to make an opening as soon as they interacted with the brush, they also saw the wrench toy right beside Vagrant. They sensed a familiar scent from both objects, a scent lodged deep in their long-term memory. "I-I know you... it's been a long while... but I can't-" they suddenly heard Degirue's voice from the ambience of one of the other rooms. "The tone and flow of that voice.... Reminds me of...." The mook came across the tag on the starman, and made out the code,
"That's his name, Degirue..... that's my baby.....
He suppressed me in this realm to ensure me happiness.... his own consciousness....."
The mook was Degirue's foster mother...
The mook looked over at the door with the green outline, still perfectly intact despite ultimate decay of the room itself, "He must be trapped in there, that door only existed for a short time...."
The mook quickly grabbed a hidden object in the room through an invisible door, "Once you reach him, please give him this" The mook gave both of them an old wholesome picture book representing their mother and son relationship, "I remember giving him this before I've met my fate after an invasion shortly after he had been drafted and left... My significance is fulfilled, May I bless you the best... Please tell Degirue I love him with all of my soul, and please save him... he needs your help.... This is farewell,"
The queen rose and faded away into their deserved afterlife...
Another gold shard appeared, one more to go, it is now up to the three to save their beloved friend before he falls into a psychological demise...

The starman nodded and took the brush,
" I might be able to come with, since his mind is fragmenting apart, the rules can be broken with more ease, this won't necessarily harm him if done, You need this gold shard for the key, I saw one already accumulated one of them, there are two more to collect, luckily only one of them if for another boss, the other is to make the queen find her purpose, I remember Degirue mentioning of his caretaker who is a 'mook'. I have no idea what that is, however I speculate that the queen is in fact Degirue's mother figure of some sort..."
The starman saw the toy wrench poking out of Vagrant's pocket, then looked around to see a diffusion of black and red coloration in the sky and uttered in fear,
" I bet there are other items hidden to remind the monarch, but how it seems to be.... we are short of time... and it's only accelerating more and more... Do any of you have any memorabilia from Degirue? You guys claimed you were close with him. This can possibly help the queen's memory... if not, the brush and wrench will be the best bet, there's clearly no time to grab more..."
Now it was starting to barely be manageable... The track was glitching and contorting in odd directions. The external sounds were distorting more and more and the sounds of sudden static and giygas-like noises were becoming more and more audible.
"Oh jeez.... it's becoming way worse than I-, we gotta bolt...."
The starman took Somnium's and Vagrant's hand and clipped through the wall due to the track being unbearable to walk or even teleport to. The starman ran with both of them, the room was shaking and glass was shattered on some windows. Black pulsing viens can be found on the walls as the queen was in the corner in fear of what was going on around here.

As soon as the starman calmed down along with Vagrant, they realized their model tag detached from their leg. They teleported in front of the both but in gentle sense, hinting that they don't want to fight anymore. They picked the tag up with their PSI and a monologue in a resonant, robotic voice.
"I miss him...... devastatingly, he gave me life and love, such a brilliant and tactical gieeg, but he, the commander, he used him to his advantage for his own army to the extent of burn out... Whenever the poor kid had a chance to return to his quarter, a lot of the time he would hug me and curl up by me to sleep.... I stroked him gently, his thick coat of fur was always extremely soft and pristine, his ears were lengthy and delicate like a fennec's.... and his purring, it was like music to my ears... I could hear it all damn day and never get tired of it.... my poor Degirue..."
The starman broke down and weeped softly, his hand over his cracked visor,
"I-If only I could see his gorgeous, bright green eyes one more time... just to say goodbye... I would give my thanks to him for being such a sweet, generous, and loving creature before I leave my terrain and see my family again..."
The starman for a split second glitched, midst the glitch, a gieeg can be seen with deep blue eyes and a very thin tail breifly before the entity came back to a starman form.

The starman used PSI Shield to withstand most of the beam attacks that funnelled towards him and began thinking of other methods. Within the corner of their vision in their perspective, they saw the reflective barrier around Somnium and was in a fit of rage. As soon as they managed to block the attacks and mauver their way through the walls, they took a non- reflective wall and crushed it through Somnium's barrier with immense physical force. Since Somnium's appearance reminded them of Giegue, which the starman despised, they've repeatedly smashed the wall on Somnium. Close up to the starman's leg, there is a certain model name, "D361RU35L0V3CH1LD" which is leetspeak for "Degirue's love child". This oddity begged many questions. Why must it seem to protray sentient behavior? How did Degirue program this particular model? Why is it named his "love child"?

(tw: blood/vomit, glass shatter)
The starman's glare was ominous, almost seemed like it was an inanimate object. It immediately threw a PK Beam Omega unexpectedly and used some sort of PSI to lift Vagrant and Somni upward and throw them hastily to the ground. Then, it started to teleport continuously to block every opponent's move, which was very annoying. It seemed to have a lot of PP to spare. Was it preparing for this moment? The starman threw out attack whenever it got a chance to be away from the astral duo's view to jab at them with another psychic attack.
The reverbed background noise of Giegue giving attacks to Degirue progressively gotten worse to the point of piercing sounds of glass shattering and the clangs of claws as Degirue limps to the bathroom, then throwing up blood in one of the sinks along with his whimpering. The starman in response looked up, shedded a single tear, but shook his head and continued focusing on fighting. Why was this? How did it have sentient feelings? Are they trapped in Degirue's Magicant until they perish or find purpose? Questions are all over the place for many things that surround the gieeg's brilliant but burnt out head, but they can be made an effort to understand, after all most of them are fragments of Degirue's past.
