so a real throwback for this blog, but i was cleaning up my art folder and found this little relic of my homestuck days tucked away in a forgotten subfolder. @callmearcturus i know youre working on other things these days but Chamomile, rose water, and other unlikely intoxicants was deeply influential to me back in the day, and i still reread it from time to time, so i figured that since this was basically finished, i might as well set it free into the world.

@threshprince Happy (super belated) Valentines day! i am so sorry this took so long, and thank you so much for your patience, hopefully the wait was worth it? your apprentice was a delight to work with, and Lucio turned out very fun to draw as well, so thank you for the great prompts and extra thanks to @arcanasecretcupid for organizing the event (and putting up with my inability to meet a deadline).

surprise @dariadraws! @misery-lake and i worked together to create your @arcanasecretcupid gift! i did the lines and miz did an absolutely beautiful job coloring and rendering. amaranth was such a gorgeous apprentice to work with, and i love them with asra so much.

just wanted to post an update that i now have a toyhouse account, which has all the most up-to-date info on both Amaranth and Macha! so anyone looking for info about either of them is very encouraged to check it out ;)

a long overdue redesign of Amaranth’s masquerade outfit, because the last one i drew is now 4 years old and just… not very in-character for them anymore. i still haven’t decided if this is their definitive canon one for the story, but given the many masquerades waiting for them in the future, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to give this one a shot.

Heyo, thanks for the heads up! I think I'm gonna be too busy to participate this year, but i totally recommend the event to anyone else who sees this, ive participated before and it's tremendous fun, and wonderfully organized! Part of Kurapika descended into wordless screeching. Fortunately, the part that replied was not the one that melting down. “My idea of dancing, or yours?”

“Well, I was thinking mine,” Leorio huffed out, faux-annoyed. “But either works.”

Kurapika looked up at Leorio, at the way the sunset turned his skin to burnished gold and caught on the green and caramel in his eyes. He thought, this is a mistake. He thought, this is only going to make your decision harder.

He held out his hand. “Sure. We’ll try it your way.”

ok well i definitely thought this would take me much longer to finish and now i feel extra silly for not waiting to post the previous kurapika pic but i guess i just have to live with that. anyways once again this is from @thefledglingdm’s glorious fic Light Of My Life, Pain In My Ass, which i read like a couple of months ago at this point and still it haunts me. it’s just so good.

he held himself with a stiffness that nearly bordered on painful, his shoulders tense and spine rigid. Kurapika met his gaze and Leorio saw that his eyes were large, dark gray, framed by long lashes. A few sparse freckles dotted the bridge of his nose and the arches of his high cheekbones. His cologne was sharp and fresh, like mint and… eucalyptus, maybe.

Oh. Wow. Kurapika may have been a designer, but Leorio did not think he would be out of place among the very models he sewed for.
