Daniel “Dan” Snowberger is a respected Colorado academic administrator who holds responsibilities as superintendent of schools with the Durango School District. Among Dan Snowberger’s consistent efforts over the past eight years has been forging robust partnerships with various organizations, from law enforcement to community service groups. Alongside a strengthened instructional feedback system, Mr. Snowberger has set in place a new Competency Based Learning Initiative that adheres to state academic standards. He has been recognized for his work by A+ Colorado in narrowing gaps among student subgroups, both in terms of achievement and rates of graduation. Daniel Snowberger’s experience includes five years as assistant superintendent with the Harrison School District Two in Colorado Springs, where he provided direct supervision of all district principals. Overseeing the Instructional Coordinator team, he worked to boost levels of teaching performance while implementing a Professional Educator Evaluation System that included student achievement within the assessment matrix. A leading voice in his profession, Dan Snowberger earned appointment from the state’s Speaker of the House to the HB 14-1202 Standards & Assessment Task Force in 2014. Three years later, he was appointed to the Educational Leadership Council by the governor of Colorado.
