Is it possible to ask for comfort hcs of thatch with a s/o who struggles to fall asleep? I’ve been having this problem where my breathing seems to stop when im dozing off, which I then have to get up in my place and gasp for air. It goes on and on like that the rest of the night till I somehow manage to finally sleep. Sometimes I never even go back to sleep coz im just scared it will happen again.

It’s kind of a personal thing and I apologize to you and everyone else if it’s not something that u can relate to.

First of all. I think you MIGHT have sleep apnea [spelling?] and should go to a sleep doctor. That sometimes happens to me and my wife shakes me awake. It's pretty common and I think in severe cases you need a machine to help you at night. I am not a doctor I just know a big bunch of people who have this issue! I would go and check it out ASAP <3

Thatch x GN Reader SFW

Thatch was the type of person who would be fast asleep the moment his head touched the pillow. He was always out like a light, ready to rise with the sun.

But you were his complete opposite. You struggled to fall asleep and even struggled to stay asleep.

Every day, you wake up groggy and feeling unrested, yet you get ready for your job, doing your duties as a member of the 4th division. Thatch knew you had a hard time resting, so he would try to go easy on you in the kitchen, leaving you to simple chores that didn’t involve anything sharp or hot.

Thatch noticed you tried to avoid going back to sleep sometimes, too shaken up from gasping for air, much like a man who’d been drowning, breaking the surface of the waves to gulp in a breath.

He would comfort you as much as he could, and you’d feel a large, rough hand on your back, rubbing you gently and soothing you as your heart raced. You sighed and closed your eyes, trying to focus on his voice, trying to ground you.

“Shh, shhh, darlin’, it's okay.” he cooed and started to snuggle behind you when he was sure you wouldn’t mind his body against yours when your breathing normalized, and you didn’t seem to be in a state of panic.

“Ugh, I hate it, Thatch. I’m so worried I won’t wake up again,’” you confessed and turned to face him, your tired eyes meeting him as he hummed in thought. We should take you to talk to Birdbrain tomorrow. It’s not right to keep this to yourself. Ya never know. He might have the answers,” he said as he carried on rubbing your back.

You nodded only half here as your eyes grew heavy. You kept trying to wake yourself each time you heard your breath deepening in a light snore.

Thatch sat up, leaning against the headboard, his hand now running through your hair, fingers playing with the strands.

“I’ll stay awake and make sure you're okay. How does that sound?” he offered, and you blinked.

“But won’t you be tired?” he shrugged his shoulders and chuckled. “I’ve already slept a near-full night. Let me stay up these last few hours, and if you stop breathing, I’ll be here to make sure you get up. How's that? My word!”

You felt warmth bloom in your chest. He was such a wonderful man, a perfect partner. “Really?” “Anything for you, darling. You just have to promise me you will see the doctor tomorrow.”

“I promise,” you sleepily mumbled and got comfy.

“Sleep tight,” he said, and you were already snoring softly, feeling safe with him.

10. Could you be best friends with this character? Pre-skip Law? heck yeah I could. We would vibe and chill while listening to loud music. But I could not be with post skip. He's too... much and I am too much for him. I think my laid back vibes would piss him off.

11. Would you date this character? I used to selfship with pre-skip Law like years ago, but again it was always pre-skip.

12. What's a headcanon you have for this character? Pre-skip Law used to sleep around like crazy as he was chasing distraction in any form possible to try and block out everything that happened to him but guilt managed to catch up with him and he became the Law we know now. I think he is demisexual.

Man this might seem so biased because I like/hyper fixate on only a handfull of games but lets see... [Yes, most of these are games I am into WOOPS]

Ace - Loves FPS - He plays games like Overwatch, TF2, L4D and Dead by Daylight. - He enjoys shoot first ask questions later type games. - DPS for life. - Borderlands is also a game he likes. - Saints Row, GTA, Duke Nukem. DOOM. Anything along these lines. - Action with a dose of horror element. - Explosions and fire are a huge bonus. Sabo - Sims - but on chaos mode. He loves to play God, and he’s the type of person who would build a pool without a ladder. - He might be against capitalism, but that doesn’t mean he won’t use a few cheat codes and pirate versions so his sims can live out their best lives.

Luffy - Pokemon games. He mostly plays Pokemon GO so he can go out and be social with his brothers and friends. He and Usopp do all the raids together. - Anything easy and brightly colored has his attention.

Nami - Mobile phone game queen. - Literally anything tycoon. - Where you can buy and sell and build. - Is like level 90000000 on every ‘swap something’ or ‘merge’ game. - Plays while making money at her job. Sanji - Dating sims, obviously. - Also, hentai games. - And Animal Crossing. Usopp - Minecraft, Strawdew Valley. Anything that's open and fun. - Also big into Pokemon and plays with Luffy, - He also loves point-and-click adventures like Monkey Island. Franky - Minecraft, Roblox, anything that’s building and making. - Retro games, like Golden Axe, Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Toe Jam, and Earl. - Older platform and side-scrolling games.

Jinbei - Games you can farm and fish on. - Also racing/driving games. - Is a beast on Mario Cart Robin - Fantasy games like Skyrim. - Indie horror like FNAF, SCP, Zoochosis, I have no mouth, and yet I must scream. - All the really intense horrors like Silent Hill, Resident Evil, and Condemned. - Just anything with awful, horrible monsters and lore, and she is all over it and thinks the monsters are cute.

Corazon - Candycrush mom. Kid - GTA, Bulletstorm, the most bloody and violent games you can get your hands on. - Ones that are banned in countries. - Wolfenstein. - Also partial to the Guitar Hero/Rockstar type games. Killer - Cooking Mama - Guitar Hero/Rockband Marco - He doesn’t game alot, but if he sees an old-school arcade, he’ll go and play things. - House Of The Dead, Packman, Space Invaders, Time Crisis. He often gets dragged to the arcade by Ace.

You didn’t wear makeup very often around the ship. You were too busy focusing on your duties and, to be honest, the way you would sweat from a hard day's work. It just wasn’t worth the effort for it to run or get ruined by the ever-changing moods of the weather.

However, the times you did, your boyfriend would often have something to say.

Izou would narrow his eyes, purse his lips, and tsk at you. Now, your makeup was never bad. It just wasn’t up to Izou’s level of perfection.

“You should let me teach you some makeup tricks,” He said one day as he brushed back your hair, tucking a strand behind your ear as he admired your face.

You melted into his touches, feeling his thumbs gently brush along your cheeks. Then you huffed as he held your face firmly, turning your head from side to side and scrutinizing the job you'd done on your blush and eyeliner.

“Is that an offer or a threat?” you asked with a chuckle, and from the look on his face, you knew it was the latter.

Soon, you were in his room, sitting on a chair and staring at your reflection as he tsked, tutted, and mumbled to himself as he dug into the depths of his collection. Occasionally, he held up colours against your skin, judging what he thought would suit you and where he wanted to go with it.

“Well,” Izou began as he met your eye in the mirror. “I think this will look great on you,” he shook the bottle and smiled.

You felt like a cat being bathed against your will for the next half an hour. He was fast and strong, and as you swotted at him, he dodged and ducked. “My love, you just smudged everything I worked on, and we need to do it again,” Izou sighed as he adjusted you in the chair again and applied the eyeliner. You whined as you tried to sit perfectly still. He was amazing at what he did, and you knew you were being fussy, but couldn’t he just show you what to do on himself?

He was firm but gentle, not wanting to hurt you; he was just going into full-blown Izou knows best mode.

“I love how thick your lashes look with that mascara, but we need a little more,” he said with a hum, tapping his cheek as he mused over his options before pulling something out of his drawer: eyelash curlers, something you’d never used.

“Okay, I think I hear someone calling me,” you sprung out of your seat just to be pulled back by your shoulder, seeing the devious grin on Izou’s face. “Oh darling, we aren’t finished yet,” he said, gently kissing the side of your head. “I promise it won’t hurt,” his voice softened before as he gave you a comforting smile.

“Alright then… I’ll allow it.” Izou’s smile grew, happy you were letting him have his way.
