The way I’ve seen people call you a fraud for using references, these people have not made art in their life. References aren’t “against the rules” or something, everyone uses references. Im sorry you have such a weird amount of haters
yeah i'll never understand the weird stigma against artists using references? especially when EVERY artist uses them? i'm a full-time student and the #1 thing i've been doing in nearly all of my foundational and anim-major related classes is to draw with REFERENCE and from life. you cannot learn without observing. its just not possible!
i'll use all sorts of photo refs, 3D models and life to make my drawings. im not a magical wizard!

dude i havent seen locks in forever, im so happy youre posting here again. locks is by far one of my favorite fan ocs and i love seeing him around tumblr again. no pressure but pls share more of him if you find yourself willing, i know me and so many others consider him canon in our hearts cy!!!
im so happy you enjoy seeing locks again!!! he’s my bestie boy and im (glad and sad) that people seem to miss him. im a full time student and freelancer now so i have a lot less time to draw art for myself (sadge) but when summer comes i have a lot of ideas for locks and urudyk to get out of my head. so hopefully there will be more of him soon :)

i LOVE legend of korra so much but i have not ever drawn fanart for it? it’s so weird i have to be a specific kind of brain rotted about something to actually draw it. hence why there’s fortnite fanart and no korra fanart, sorry😇

im not totally giving up on tumblr but since I’ve gained like 30,000 bot followers over the span of a year from the bot swarms i just don’t find it enjoyable to post to nobody? if that makes sense? also i just don’t have a lot of time to post in general so keeping up with one app is easier than keeping up with multiple
