You’ve Heard of Scientist Whumpers, Now Get Ready for Scientist Whumpees!
Whumpee chained to their lab desk, working as the chain clinks with their movements
Whumpee being forced to keep up with ridiculous schedules, Whumper demanding impossible results in impossibly little time
Whumpee being monitored and abused by the guards in their own lab
Whumpee being forced to experiment on their friends
Whumpee sitting alone at night, after they’ve been locked in their cell, stitching up their own wounds
Whumpee working themself to exhaustion until they collapse in their lab, on their feet
Whumpee being held captive in their own lab, now taken over by Whumper
Whumpee being forced to go to conferences, pretending everything is okay, with Whumper by their side the whole time
Maybe Whumpee was once a mad scientist, a danger. Now, they’ve been captured, and the heroes intend on making them work. But, what if the heroes aren’t so nice after all?
Whumpee being beaten and reminded what a monster they are, and that this is the only way they can ever be worth anything to the world
Whumpee being forced to watch as their work is destroyed and they have to start over
Whumpee being too traumatized to ever return to their profession, trembling at the very sight of a beaker

The desperate cries and harsh panting as they dig the bullet from their bloody, slippery flesh.
The grunts and spiking pain with every step.
let them press their fingers to the wound, let them try to stop the bleeding, but most importantly don't let them give up.

A nerve poison that affects the pain receptors of the whumpee. They’re in so much agony they cannot move, or speak or even eat. Painkillers don’t work and after a while their body begins to shut down due to shock and the poison. The team are running out of time to find the antidote.

confession: i learned english (almost) purely by reading whump fics.
#i mean i had the basics#until 4th grade level#but then i discovered the hobbit fandom started searching for whump of my fave#and it just kinda. turned out i learned more than i ever could in class lmao#then it was the avengers... then fnaf.... then i started watching english yt-bers but that's besides the point#always makes it kinda awkward when i'm asked how i learned to speak fluent english#what am i supposed to say#by reading fanfiction where my favorite characters get hurt??#i tend to just say i 'read a lot about my interests'#but i still think it's funny#not whump#ramble

Characters who don’t typically seem phased by things (maybe they’re pretty stoic, or bright and bubbly, or boundlessly determined) who have something particularly bad happen to them, so bad that it breaks their spirit or leaves them so weak that they can’t carry on as normal, and everyone suddenly realizing how vulnerable they are.

Can we talk about characters being dizzy?
Dizzy from blood loss? Trying to lie still while their friend patches up the wound? Trying to stay awake, but struggling, dozing off and forgetting where they are and who they are?
Or dizzy from being drugged? Feeling the numbness creep through their body until they collapse, vision going black?
Or dizzy after waking up from being drugged? Waking up, not quite remembering what happened, but knowing that they don’t know where they are and realizing that they’re tied up?
Or dizzy from fever? Shaking, cold even though their skin is hot? Lying in bed, dozing in and out, caught in a dream-like state of confusion and delirium?
