This was supposed to just be a coloured sketch, but things got a got out of hand I guess. Tale as old as time.
Combining the bottle charm with the glass bead was an idea I got when drawing this, though after thinking it over I’m pretty sure it’s only going to be a thing for this image only. Maybe he’s only wearing it like this in the image because the bead necklace broke and this was his temporary solution for it? Idk

A while ago I got this idea that it would be neat if Edda post wayward got a pet pigeon, and then this whole thing spawned from that bcs, hey fun opportunity to take a shot at attempting Art Nuevo. I say attempt, because though I did look at the art of Alphonse Mucha for this (I specifically used Zodiac (1896-7) and Feather (1899) as references one I moved to work on my tablet), I didn’t really go all out with the stylistic choices and as a result got something more vaguely Art Nuevo inspired then, you know, Art Nuevo.
I still think I like the result though.
I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank those who’ve said nice things on my art, since I really appreciate those comments even if I don’t always reply to them, in which case this is a thank you and a I’m sorry.

Yippie! Thank you for the nice welcome :D
I don't really go here (don't have a computer or console to play the game on), but I got curious about this man after seeing him on my dash, and now I can't stop thinking about him. So here's some art I've made of him in-between scrambling to find gameplay videos featuring him and reading everything I can find about him online. (Feat what I imagine my builder would look like if I had the game. Her name is Frida and she's so far only wearing the basic clothes, bcs I'm not sure if I can properly figure out how she would dress unless I played the game. Also, I projected a little of my own trepidations with marriage on her, mostly because I imagine that even with Pen not wanting to be married it might hurt his ego a little for someone to be so happy that marriage with him isn’t on the table.) The text in the first panel in the comic is taken directly from the wiki, (apparently it’s his response when accepting a romantic confession?), but I apologise if he’s ooc in the rest of the comic, I'm still getting a feel for him.

The third panel shows Frida walking away from pen with a pep in her step, a big happy smile on her face alongside a blush. “Terrified of marriage” is written above her head, with an arrow pointing to her. The fourth panel focuses in on Pens face, as he lowers his hand, appearing now to be both confused and slightly miffed, question marks still around his head.
The final panel show Pen spanning into another confident pose, looking to the side with his fingers grazing his forehead, sparkles around his head. He smiles, and says “Ha! Poor Skinny! So upset, but trying to have good humor about it! I can see through it easily! But good play, good play.” He’s sweating slightly.

The original plan has been to post all of these together when they are all finished, but I’m now wondering if it’s better to just focus on editing the first part and post it alone, and then continue work on the second part?

Here’s a little project I worked on last year, but kinda, forgot to post? It’s a fake Red shoes art book spread for Edda! The composition, and art styles used, is mainly based on Snow White first page, and Arthur's second page from the actual art book, including of course the artist featured in them (aka Jeon Mi-jin (전미진) who drew the art that the art on the first page and the drawing to the top right on the second page is based on, Kim Sang-jin (김상진) aka Jin Kim who drew the art that the first drawing and the four lower drawings in the second page are based on, and Choi Minjeong (최민정) who drew the the art that the top middle drawing on the second page is based on.) (I had to use Google translate to get the names in the Latin alphabet, so I apologise if there’s any mistakes, I tried to keep the Korean name order for all the names, with the exception of Jin Kim.) [EDIT: I took a closer look Arthur’s first page today and realised that it served as a bigger inspiration for the first page that I drew then I remembered when first posting this, so shout out to that page as well which have two drawings made by Jeon Mi-jin and Choi Minjeong respectively.]
If you’ve been around for a bit you might also notice that two of the drawings on the second page are redraws of older sketches, which I mostly did as a fun treat for myself, since I find redrawing old art pretty fun. I also took this opportunity to give Harriet’s clothes a small makeover, taking some inspiration from Snow herself, a bit from the shapes of Drottning Kristinas gowns (like the drape around her shoulders and how puffy their arms are, and the general shape of the collar), and most likely from looking at details of other dresses I can’t recall at the moment (I do specifically remember looking up images of historical lace collars to get an idea of how they could look, but I don’t remember if I looked at a specific site or what sites I could have looked at in that case). I tried to keep it relatively simple with some spots for details, but looking at it now I’m not entirely sure how well it would fit the movies vine fashion wise (both Regina’s and Snow’s dresses both feel pretty modern to my amateur eyes looking at the cuts and shapes), then again I guess I can always say that the fashion is different kingdom to kingdom I suppose.
Also small shout out to Kay @the-moonlightknight who was someone who helped years ago to actually put words to Eddas personality back when I had to make a reference sheet for a discords event, which is the reference I went back to and used small parts of when writing the text for the first page.

At first she doesn’t realise she’s falling for Arthur, taken in by his ridiculous yet sensitive personality and his way of smiling, but when she does she’s sure she can’t tell him at risk of making things uncomfortable between them. She doesn’t realise that a lot of the ridiculous things Arthur has done has been to show love for her, and that they are both just as willing to sacrifice themselves for the other.”

Fourth is a collection of greyscale drawings of Edda making a few expressions, such as: 1, looking intrigued while grinning sinisterly with a shadow over her eyes as she holds her chin, 2, looking in awe of something with shine in her eyes, her hands hovering in front of her, 3, looking embarrassed and startled, a blush across her face and her fist held to her chest, 4, scowling deeply with a dark shadow over her eyes. I didn’t originally draw this for Valentine’s Day, but it fit’s so here’s a silly little redraw I made of this drawing from way back, but in the style of the character concept art from the Red shoes Art book (mostly based on the art by Jeon Mi-jin (전미진) and Choi Minjeong (최민정) I believe). I feel like this drawing is a lot simpler then the original, since I couldn’t add too much stuff without feeling like I was ruining the vibe of the art style I was aiming for. I think it turned out pretty nice, sometimes it’s nice to not go buck-wild with details and highlights and the likes, it’s a nice change of pace.
I do have a small something else also cooking for valentines, but I’ll have to see if I get the time in-between work and recovering from work to finish it in time (otherwise I’ll try to have it out in the weekend).

“HUH,” the masked person strolled towards Arthur kicking excalibur further away with a metal cane, before taking a kneel on the rubble before him, “WOULD YOU LOOK AT THAT,” the grasp of their cane shot out of their gloved hand and tilted Arthur’s face up so he could stare into the dark glass of their googles. “IF IT ISN’T A KNIGHT IN SHINING ARMOUR.” They tilted their head at him, appearing thoughtful. “DOES THIS MEAN I’VE MADE IT INTO THE BIG LEAGUES NOW?”
So, I’ve been holding on to these for a while, but since the one-shot I was hoping to post them alongside is still far from finished, I figured I might as well just post them for now. Though I figured it would be fitting to also add a quote from the scene which the second image is supposed to depict, so take that as a sample of sorts.

I’m still somewhat lacking the energy to really throw myself into being as active and social online as I was last year sadly, but I am going to try to share the art I make / have made when I’m able to, since that’s something I really like doing. So! Here’s two superhero au related things I’ve done!

Sorry for the delay, but here it finally is! A synopsis for the superhero au! (please note that details like names of locations can very much change in the future):
The strange case (title pending)
Our story takes place on a fairy tale island which has since long gone through it’s own sort of industrial revolution, and where the stories of kings and queens are for the most part ancient history. F7 is a group of hero’s who’s main headquarters is in Goldcity in the small central country of Mitlandia, which is also the county where the security company White Apple originates and is still mainly situated. White Apple was mainly ran by Mr White, but after Mr White is suddenly placed into a coma it’s taken over by his wife Regina White. As Regina steps into her new role the daughter of Mr White, Snow White, starts to grow suspicious of her stepmother, noticing how dismissive she seems of her fathers situation, and the strange decisions she’s made for the company since taking control.
At the same time a few smaller White Apple facilities have started to experience thefts and break ins by an unidentified masked individual. This individuals civilian identity is that of Dr Edda Andersdotter PhD, a analytical chemist who moved to Mitlandia for work at Silva labs, a small independent lab, and to put some more distance between herself and her relatives.
One day F7 in alerted to a break-in in the main White Apple building, and goes to stop it, in which they begin to uncover what Regina has truly been up to alongside Snow White and has their first encounter with the strange masked individual who introduces themselves as Doctor Hyde.
This, is also a romance.

I might change designs for the super hero suits in the future, as I’m currently going back and forth on if they should have masks or not. I don’t really imagine any of them having any secret identities, so the masks might the sort of pointless, but it’s about the aesthetic you know.

He’s wearing a super suit styled like is original clothes from the movie, but with dark accent to the sides, a par of diamonds encrusted gloves, a mask that covers all but his lower face (safe his chin) and the top of his hair, the swirls from his original vest placed on his arms under a dark pair of shoulder pads, and the invisibly cloak which he now carries around his neck. He’s looking at something off screen with a serious expression, lifting up his fist as if readying for a fight. In the right corner there is a signature reading “Cookieek”.

Here’s a little project I worked on last year, but kinda, forgot to post? It’s a fake Red shoes art book spread for Edda! The composition, and art styles used, is mainly based on Snow White first page, and Arthur's second page from the actual art book, including of course the artist featured in them (aka Jeon Mi-jin (전미진) who drew the art that the art on the first page and the drawing to the top right on the second page is based on, Kim Sang-jin (김상진) aka Jim Kim who drew the art that the first drawing and the four lower drawings in the second page are based on, and Choi Minjeong (최민정) who drew the the art that the top middle drawing on the second page is based on.) (I had to use Google translate to get the names in the Latin alphabet, so I apologise if there’s any mistakes, I tried to keep the Korean name order for all the names, with the exception of Jim Kim.) [EDIT: I took a closer look Arthur’s first page today and realised that it served as a bigger inspiration for the first page that I drew then I remembered when first posting this, so shout out to that page as well which have two drawings made by Jeon Mi-jin and Choi Minjeong respectively.]
If you’ve been around for a bit you might also notice that two of the drawings on the second page are redraws of older sketches, which I mostly did as a fun treat for myself, since I find redrawing old art pretty fun. I also took this opportunity to give Harriet’s clothes a small makeover, taking some inspiration from Snow herself, a bit from the shapes of Drottning Kristinas gowns (like the drape around her shoulders and how puffy their arms are, and the general shape of the collar), and most likely from looking at details of other dresses I can’t recall at the moment (I do specifically remember looking up images of historical lace collars to get an idea of how they could look, but I don’t remember if I looked at a specific site or what sites I could have looked at in that case). I tried to keep it relatively simple with some spots for details, but looking at it now I’m not entirely sure how well it would fit the movies vine fashion wise (both Regina’s and Snow’s dresses both feel pretty modern to my amateur eyes looking at the cuts and shapes), then again I guess I can always say that the fashion is different kingdom to kingdom I suppose.
Also small shout out to Kay @the-moonlightknight who was someone who helped years ago to actually put words to Eddas personality back when I had to make a reference sheet for a discords event, which is the reference I went back to and used small parts of when writing the text for the first page.

Two fake Red shoes art-book pages depicting my oc Edda and Harriet (A pale chubby woman, with deep eyebags, brown hair and grey eyes).
The first shows Harriet, dressed in a blue dress with lace and snowflake themed embroidery, wearing a crown and matching necklace, with her hair up in a ponytail, is looking forlornly at the viewer, her hands held before her. Edda, dressed in her casual while fluffy shirt, dark muddy red skirt and bodice, and brown leather boots, is looking to the side with a lopsided smile and holding out her knife. Cookieek is written under both of them. Behind them is a wavy dark red graphic with a pattern of thin leaves. In the bottom right corner is two patterns running side by side, one of simple tight stitches, and a more detailed snowflake inspired embroidery pattern. To the upper right of the page is a block of text titled “Edda & Harriet”, and reading: “Edda is a wise woman in the woods that Arthur stumbles upon after entering Frode kingdom to search for it’s missing princess. Edda is also the identity taken on by said missing Princess Harriet after she was able to leave the castle behind. Her life as a mistreated princess has left her jaded and with a distain for nobility and royalty, but her escape has given her hope for a better life. In leaving the identity as Harriet Edda has made a big change in her way of dress, as well as letting the mask she’d been forced into as a royal slip. She’s determined, eccentric, and considerate, with a hunger for magic knowledge. At first she doesn’t realise she’s falling for Arthur, taken in by his ridiculous yet sensitive personality and his way of smiling, but when she does she’s sure she can’t tell him at risk of making things uncomfortable between them. She doesn’t realise that a lot of the ridiculous things Arthur has done has been to show love for her, and that they are both just as willing to sacrifice themselves for the other.”
The second is a page with drawings of Edda and Harriet. The first is a grey scale drawing Harriet looking mentally exhausted, with a thousand yard stare in a profile view. Second is a head shot of Harriet crying in a blue frilly nightgown as pale hands with long nails grip the sides of her face, tips of light brown hair hovering above her. Third is a drawing of Edda sitting and talking to someone while smiling as if she’s about to laugh. Fourth is a collection of greyscale drawings of Edda making a few expressions, such as: 1, looking intrigued while grinning sinisterly with a shadow over her eyes as she holds her chin, 2, looking in awe of something with shine in her eyes, her hands hovering in front of her, 3, looking embarrassed and startled, a blush across her face and her fist held to her chest, 4, scowling deeply with a dark shadow over her eyes. Cookieek is written under all of the images.

Arthur’s carrying his sword on his back, and has his hand placed on Eddas back, smiling softly at her while faintly blushing. Edda has her hair up in a bun, is dressed in a off white poofy shirt, dark red bodice and skirt, and seems to be in the middle of talking, gesturing with her hand in the air. Half of her face is covered by her bags, but both her eyes and eyebrows are still visible through the hair. Behind the bar is a shelf with bottles and empty glasses and to the left side is a large beer barrel. They are lit in a warm orange light. The drawing has a watercolour like colouring, most pronounced in the background where there’s only faint remains of the original traditional sketch left, with a few highlights drawn in a textured pencil brush. The sketch is dated 19/11 2023, the date being faintly visible over the shelf in the background. On the bottom left is a signature reading “cookieek”.

I have had this one laying around unfinished for a while now, and I have no idea when I’ll finish this, so here’s an rough WIP animatic w/ Arthur and villain Edda!

A rough animatic, with grey background and sketches drawn in dark teal. Occasionally white text shows up on screen to depict what the character is saying.
An eye opens, and the scene zooms out to my oc Edda (A chubby woman, with deep eyebags and dark hair), dressed in a large coat and laying on the ground.
She sits up dizzy, holding her head.
EDDA: Augh- What the-
She looks around, question marks around her.
EDDA: Where am I?
The screen shows a shot from further away, showing the inside of a cave.
EDDA: Ah right… Cave…
The screen focuses back to Eddas face, as cogwheels spin by her head.
EDDA: Uhhhhhhh
The image goes to a flashback, boarders by wavy lines. It shows Edda and another person in a robe facing each other inside of the cave, as the f7 arrives in the cave opening beside them.
EDDA: Oh yeah, I was arguing about the cave with that guy when they showed up
A shot of Edda and the other figure running separate ways, still yelling at each other, with the other figure pointing at Edda.
EDDA: Then we split up and-
A shot of Edda being flung forward, a large explosion behind her.
The shot switches to Edda looking blankly into space, a baffled expression on her face.
EDDA:…
EDDA: Did he set of his explosives when I was still inside of the passage???
Eddas expression shifts to an disgruntled one.
EDDA: How fucking petty??? Did he think he could get all of us at once or some-
???: *whimper*
Edda friezes up at the sound, and the camera shifts to the side to reveal a figure laying under a pile of rubble from the explosion. Edda looks at the figure, looking both baffled and shocked. A red exclamation mark in-front her face.
EDDA: !!!
The shot moves to focus on the figure revealing the figure to be Arthur who appears to be unconscious as the camera dramatically zooms out from his face.
EDDA: ARTHUR???!!!
The camera scrolls up Eddas shocked expression, two exclamation marks beside her this time.
The shot moves out so both Arthur and Edda is visible, Edda stays frozen for a moment more, but then moves to stand on all fours, eyes still on Arthur. The shot zooms in on Eddas head as she stands up.
EDDA: H-
The shot moves to beside Arthur’s head as Edda walks up to him. She reaches a shaking forward to touch his head. The camera moves to her perspective as she looks at her hand and sees blood.
The shot changes to look up at her over the hand, she’s still shocked, but then seems to start getting angry.
EDDA: How- Why?!
A flashback appears, showing a shadowy figure that looks like Arthur behind her as the explosion was about to go off, one of his hands are pushing her shoulder.
Returning to Edda, she glares at her hand, the shot shifting to look at her I profile.
EDDA: …What sort of absurd heroics?
Edda looks down with slight suprise.
ARTHUR: *Whimper*
She closes her eyes and then turns around with a firm expression. The camera focuses on her boots as she takes a step.
ARTHUR: *Whimper*
The boot makes a turn on the ground, and the camera moves to her face as she with the same firm expression turns back to Arthur and walks to him.
EDDA: Shit
The camera moves to above Arthur, showing Edda crouch before him, reaching a hand into her pouch. The shot moves to focus on just Edda as she glares at a small bottle she just pulled out.
EDDA: What the fuck am I doing
She opens the bottle. The camera moving to look down on Arthur as she gently moves to cup the back of his head. The shot shifts to his face as she pours the liquid of the bottle in his mouth. Finally the camera moves out to show her having placed his head onto her lap, one hand still cradling his head.
