YuuyamiArtist's Side (Art Only) Blog!
As it stands now, my art is queued up and ready to be slowly released onto this blog. In the meantime, my new stuff will be uploaded here as soon as it is done. Hope you enjoy!
I don't always pay attention to notifications i get from Tumblr, but I'm always excited whenever one from you shows up. I never cease to be amazed by your level of craftsmanship and your attention to detail in the art that you create. Your works are inspiring. I would gush endlessly on every single thing you create, if I could! Thank you for sharing your great talent with us 💜

You are a wonderful person. I should let you know that I’ve screen-shot this comment and saved it in a little folder I have off my favorite inspirational things that keep me making art. Thank you so much for all of your support over the years!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Challenging myself this time! I watched all of The Untamed in record time for someone like me, who can’t sit down and watch something to save my life. But this series…oh man. It’s indescribably beautiful. The story and characters are just so incredible, and I think I’m hooked for life. I just finished watching all of Grandmaster too, and now I’m starting the novels. I can happily watch/read this love story in a million different forms. Just beautiful.
Since finishing, I decided I wanted to do some fanart of it - starting with the live action (Untamed) since it was the first one I watched. I started it off as a sketch, with the intention of painting it and layering it with origami paper, a new challenge for myself. It ended up being layers and layers of washi paper, gold leaf, silver leaf, gel, origami, vellum, and cardstock. The strings on the guqin are hand-sewed in, and there is beadwork throughout. With visuals like the ones you get in this show, I felt the art had to go big. It meant this was a three week process, of roughly 1 - 9 hours a day. Another seemingly impossible challenge for myself, but on a steady course of Rooibos tea and protein bars, anything can get done…
All jokes aside, I’m so so proud of this. Thanks for viewing 💕

8+ hours of painting done in one sitting. My bones feel brittle and ready to snap, but I’m too happy to care. It’s SO rare for me to feel like there is nothing else I can or should do to a painting. What was in my head happened on the paper, and I am celebrating! I’m late to the party, as usual, and only watched Promare recently. Turns out it’s the movie’s 3rd anniversary. Lio Fotia owns my heart. I’d love to do another one with him and Galo 🏳️🌈 but I’m too tired to move. Maybe later. 💕
