So... ykno how all of the other neighbors use past tense in their bios except Wally and Home?
Well I had this little thought that when there's not much else to do, Wally would often stand outside Home and wait for his friends. Just there, waiting for them to come around dragging him into whatever silly schemes they have for the day. His own little way of reminiscing about the old times. Or maybe even hoping theyre not completely gone. A habit that gives him something to do at the moment. Something that keeps him grounded while his mind unfurls on itself from the loneliness
Also hot take: Home isn't evil, just really overprotective of Wally since they only got each other left now

Wally's POV
The morning had arrived as I yawned, my hair in my face as I stretched to wake myself up. It was about seven 6 a.m but I couldn't help but lie in bed thinking about yesterday's events.
After the neighbor and I talked about what we needed for the competition, I went straight back Home in search of records to use. Thankfully I had a few that were in working condition that we both could use to practice, just slow enough to get some footwork down, they were some of my favorite records after all which helped ease my mind.
"I still can't believe they wanted to join a dance competition...I didn't know they were into dance." I grumbled to myself, putting my hand over my eyes. "Have I ever seen them dance before? Why did they even..? I thought they didn't even want to act again in a play, isn't that what the winner is rewarded with?"
My head hurt already, but I couldn't help but chuckle. It was all so silly in reality! My neighbor was always so excited about learning new things, I guess I really should have seen this coming, but still???
Shaking my head, I sat up out of bed, dragging my feet over to the side as I went and changed into my outfit for the day. Grabbing my blue cardigan and red tie, I quickly put both of them on as I sat down in front of my mirror, staring at myself with my hair down.
"I wish my hair could stay up permanently..." I grumbled, grabbing a brush to smooth it out, then tease it out, slowly forming the pompadour on my head as I grabbed some hairspray to keep it still.
"Home, do you recall if we have any books here about dance?" I spoke, and a very soft and quiet squeak was heard from the door as I shook my head. "I'll definitely have to grab some from Howdy or Frank today then. I need to be a good dancer for my neighbor! I can't let them down today! Or ever...I don't want to upset our dear neighbor."
After combing my hair, I headed straight to the kitchen, grabbing some apples to eat as a snack, and I looked out the window. The neighbor didn't live as far, fortunately, but they were near the forest near Eddie's Postal shop.
"It's better to be early than late, I might as well be on my way!" Wally spoke happily, looking at the time which read eight am. "Do I really take that long to style my hair...?" I shrugged. "What can I say, I always want to look my very best. You can't rush perfection~"
With Home opening the door for me, I made my way towards our Neighbors home!
...
Making it to the door, I knocked.
"Neighbor! I know I'm early, but I figured an early start is better than no start!" I spoke happily. I waited a couple of minutes until knocking again. Maybe they were still sleeping?
I heard some feet shuffling behind the door accompanied by a couple of groans, as I heard the click of the door opening.
"God, the sun is bright..." They grumbled, rubbing their eyes. Their hair was all messy and tangled, and it looked like they still had their oversized pajamas on. I couldn't help but chuckled. They looked so silly! Silly, Silly...
"Well, yes, neighbor, it is the sun. What do you expect?"
Neighbor rolled their eyes and simply waved me inside.
"Make yourself comfortable, I have some water beginning to boil for some tea. Let me just make myself look alive." They grumbled sleepily as they went to presumably go get changed.
I couldn't help but look around their place. The walls were a wonderful shade of light blue as there were fairy lights adorning the walls. They had many bookshelves of books, as well as many soft pillows and blankets. Neighbor sure did love to be cozy! I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when I heard the kettle. Walking over to the kitchen, I looked around, grabbing some green tea bags and some honey, I grabbed a mug from the cupboard and put the teabag in along with the hot water and honey.
"Ahh...that feels much better," Neighbor spoke, as I turned to look towards them. I could feel my eyes dilate as I looked at them, absorbing the new information. They had on a rainbow-striped short-sleeved shirt with some blue jean shorts with some black tennis shoes. Their hair was brushed neatly back and pulled back out of their face.
"Hello? Earth to Wally?" The neighbor waved a hand in front of my face as I shook my head.
"Sorry, neighbor! I like your attire -" I coughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of my neck. They looked cute! Cute? Friendly cute! Yes!
Neighbor couldn't help but roll their eyes, taking the cup of tea I laid out and taking a sip. You could see them visibly perk up.
"Oh, that's some wonderful tea, thank you!" They spoke happily, taking another sip as they sighed. "We gotta get down to business today! I have nothing to wear for any of this, and I do have some books about dancing, just not about foxtrot..."
"I'm sure Howdy's open by now if you would like to hurry on over neighbor."
"Might as well! Besides, I want to ask around and see who else is in the competition! Maybe we can catch some of them dancing~" They spoke, drinking the last bit of their tea before putting it in the sink.
"Well, we know Eddie and Frank are competing since, you know... Sally pretty much ran to them after us." I spoke, Neighbor chuckling. "I wonder who else is competing, though, maybe Barnaby and Julie? It can't just be two groups. There needs to be more."
"Well! That's what we can go to Howdy's and ask! Being the shopkeep, others have to get things to right?" Neighbor perked up, grabbing my hand, obviously very excited. "Let's get going then!!"
Without even getting a word in, they dragged me right out the door to Howdy's shop.
...
Reader's POV
Hurrying to Howdy's shop, holding Wally in my hand, I barged through the door, the little bell ringing to signify people have entered.
"Oh? Neighbor! Wally! Welcome to the Bugdega. Can I help you find anything?" Howdy asked happily, fixing his little hat and setting down a box with his other set of hands.
"Hi Howdy! I was actually wondering if you had any clothes or books? Particularly about dancing!" I spoke happily, glancing around the store, walking up to a couple of pairs of shoes.
Howdy couldn't help but laugh. "Sally got to you to huh? I take it your joining in the competition?"
"Yes, we are, Wally is actually my partner!"
Howdy looked towards Wally, then back at me. "Him?? Wally, I thought you didn't know how to dance, nor cared to?"
Wally rolled his eyes, crossing his arms over his chest. "Neighbor wanted to, and they needed a partner! Simple as that! Can't I help out a good friend?"
Howdy gave Wally a certain look, I figured out Wally's face getting slightly red. "It's not like that!!" He grumbled, turning his head away as I raised an eyebrow, shrugging my shoulders as I went back to looking at the shoes, grabbing a pair of white tennis shoes with a red stripe down the sides. Walking back over to the counter, I put the shoes on them, then went to the books to search.
"Is it so unusual to want to try something different? It's getting hotter out and I'm bored! Besides, a little competition could be fun, and it's good to learn something new. How hard can it be to learn how to dance?" I spoke, finding a book about the different types of dances, as well as the basics, grabbing it as I put it on the counter.
Wally grabbed some water bottles, putting them on the counter as well. "Yes, exactly! Actually, Howdy, we were curious if you knew of anyone else wanting to join?"
Howdy put a hand to his chin, folding his other limbs across his chest. "Hmm... I do believe Frank and Eddie will be entering. I saw those two dancing the other night, as sweet as can be! You know how Frank loves to learn. He probably already has some knowledge, and Eddie is quick on his feet, so that's probably gonna be your main competitors! Other than that, I'm not sure, I believe Poppy was thinking about it but was too nervous, I know she still has time to decide." Howdy spoke as he began to put the items in brown sacks with the Bugdega logo on it.
"Hmm... maybe we can catch them in the act? Maybe seeing how good they are might give us a shot of what we are up against!" I spoke happily, Wally looking over wide-eyed.
"You mean SPY on them? That's not very neighborly! They deserve their privacy!"
"And we deserve to see how good our competition is~" I spoke with a smirk, looking over at Howdy. "How much?"
Howdy looked down at the items. "Hmm... tell me your best joke!"
I paused, thinking a moment. "Why do you tell actors to 'break a leg'? ...Because ever play has a cast."
Howdy erupted in laughter. Man, I didn't even think it was that funny, but his laugh was infectious, and I couldn't help but join in.
"Ok ok that's a good one. Let's hope you two don't get hurt during this. Dance injuries are no joke!" Howdy spoke, waving us off as I grabbed my new book and shoes, Wally grabbing the waters.
"You take care, Howdy! It's been getting hot!" Wally spoke, opening the door for me as we stepped outside, hearing the door shut behind us. I couldn't help but glance towards Frank's house. Wally looked where I was looking and raised an eyebrow.
"Come on, neighbor, let's go put these up -"
"Aww, come on, Wally, I'm sure it's fine to do a little bit of snooping~" I spoke, taking a step towards Frank's home.
"Neighbor, I swear if we don't go back to Home right now -"
I smiled, taking more slow steps to Frank's house before sprinting in its general direction.
"NEIGHBOR- UGH!' I heard Wally yell behind me before following after me. I smiled in victory as I ran towards the tall flower bushes near Frank's home as I knelt down behind them. He kept those for the butterflies and other insects to study. It would only make sense they he grew flowers for the bugs around him.
I could hear soft, slow music play, as Wally finally caught up to me, catching his breath as he sent a playful glare my way. I smirked, sticking my tongue out before motioning for him to be quiet and listen. It sounded like 'Can't take my eyes off of you' was playing, as I heard two voices speaking. Standing up, I peaked through the bushes and fence, seeing Eddie and Frank smiling.
They were both dancing slowly, Frank smiling happily as Eddie looked at him with adoration as the two practiced slowly. You motion Wally to stand up and watch, to which he obliged, staring at the scene ahead of us. He couldn't help but smile softly, and honestly, I couldn't blame him. It was sweet seeing Frank smile, as he often frowned. I couldn't help but be amazed at their dance moves, though. They almost seemed to be pros if it wasn't for Eddie at least, who fumbled on his feet and seemed to mess up on his cues. Frank had more rhythm between the two, but in the moment, it seemed neither of them cared. They were just happy to dance with each other.
Wally and I looked at each other, nodding in mutual agreement to give them some privacy. We sneakily and quietly got out of earshot and began to make our way back towards home.
"Did you see that?? Wasn't that so sweet??" I couldn't help but swoon. I was a sucker for romance. What can I say? I loved reading romance and falling in love with other characters. But loved always seemed to avoid me, maybe one day though someone would sweep me off my feet.
"They are dating after all. Though, it does seem like we have some good competition." Wally chuckled, though I couldn't help but be off in my own dream world.
"I hope one day someone will look at me the way Eddie looks at Frank." I sighed happily, to which Wally chuckled.
"I know someone will. You are the most, I'll say." He spoke simply. I rolled my eyes. He's my friend, of course he would say that!
Finally making it to Home, it opened its doors for Wally and I, as I held onto my book, walking to and sitting on the couch while Wally put the waters on the counter.  "We got some supplied, I got some records. We should read through the books next to get a better idea, yea?" Wally spoke, coming to the couch to sit next to me, as I opened the book.
"Yea, that might be a good idea... I do have some musicals that we could watch as well. If you want to, I could read the book to you, and tonight we could watch some movies? Just to get an idea."
Wally smiled, nodding as he looked towards the book. "That's more than ok with me, neighbor." He spoke, sitting with his head against his hand. I couldn't help but smile as I scooted close to him, as I began to read from my book, feeling a pair of eyes on me on occasion as I spoke. Though it was a small start, it was a start in the right direction. I didn't mind reading to Wally anyway, and based on how relaxed he was?
I don't think he minds either.

Finny Feelie! The Puppet about Feelings!
Tumblr media
"Albeit quiet, Finny Feelie is the kindest neighbor anyone could ask for! With her nose in her books, she's always making discoveries and learning more about emotions. Kind, understanding, and always willing to listen, there's never an emotion Finny didn't know how to deal with!"
According to uncovered scripts, Finny wasn't very prominent in Welcome Home! Many parents thought she made the show too serious, and that the show should be focused more on fun! Any episodes where she was involved though, she seemed to help neighbors with their problems, particularly emotional ones.
Finny was also known as the 'therapist' puppet because of her knowledge of emotions! She left her old quiet town and moved to Home so she could take care of her own feelings, which were "pretty big in her old town "big feelings" as she would say,
Recent evidence reveals that she has a sleeping problem, and struggles getting rest! But many thought that would encourage kids to want to stay up later, so it was eventually scrapped from production
Tumblr media
Extra Fun Facts about Finny!
😊 If it wasn't noticed, Finny is an Insomniac! She struggles to get rest and often has sleepless nights! Because of this, she will often call Wally, as he has told her he has trouble sleeping also!
😊 She is a very big bookworm! She loves to study psychology and learn why we act the way we do! She feels if everyone could gain a little knowledge, there would be fewer arguments in the world and more understanding!
😊 Because of this knowledge, she infodumps ALOT! Probably too much! She will often have a very intelligent conversation with Frank! Despite this though, she is a great listener and will help others come to solutions, or help recognize what they are feeling.
😊 She often ends up prioritizing others' needs rather than her own. She feels as if she can take care of herself! But she often forgets what she tells others: "You don't have to go through it alone."
😊 She loves blueberries! Especially blueberry tarts! They're surprisingly sweet!
😊 You will find her sitting outside on a rainy day. She will be drenched. She doesn't exactly know why, but the rain makes her feel at home.
😊 She has a sticker sheet of a bunch of smiley faces and other emotions, as well as stars and rainbows!
😊 She is a Demiromatic! AKA: People who are demiromantic need to feel an emotional connection with someone before they can feel romantic toward them.
For Story Purposes...
☹️ She cannot remember her old town, nor how she made it to Home.
☹️ Despite her wanting to sleep, she's often plagued with nightmares...they seem familiar but yet all too distant...they couldn't be memories, right?
☹️ This is also her reason for learning about the brain and emotions: maybe she can try to figure out what she is experiencing, and maybe figure out the whole mystery of where she came from, who she is, and what she's doing at Home.
Tumblr media
I HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE HER! I might use her in future stories, so I wanted to go ahead and create her now!
You may use her in your own stories/art as long as you give credit to me and tag me! AND As long as you respect Clown's Boundaries. NOTHING NSFW!
Until then, I hope you enjoy our New Neighbor! @:)

🍎Shall We Dance? - Day 1🍎
Wally Darling x Reader Story
Tags: Fluff, Romantic, Established Crush, and Friendship!
Summary: Sally recently announced a Dance competition in the neighborhood! Granted, you have no idea how to even Foxtrot, but it couldn't be so bad right? Besides! You have your best friend Wally there as your Dance Partner! Nothing could go wrong...well, that is, until some feelings come to the surface...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Lovely art by TTobeeb on Twitter)
It was a beautiful Sunny day in the neighborhood! It was peaceful, quiet, relaxed...well, you would say that if it wasn't for Sally Starlet running around happily in the neighborhood, posters in hand as she plastered them onto doors and trees and fences all along the neighborhood.
You and Wally were sitting in the grass simply chatting in the warm sun, spring was coming to a close and summer was beginning to arrive, when you noticed the happily frantic star gushing and dancing about. You couldn't help but glance toward Wally, raising an eyebrow.
"Do you have any Idea what she's up to?"
"No clue neighbor. It could be that she's trying to set up another play?"
"Maybe? God, I don't know if I could star in another one. I completely messed up my lines halfway through and I just wanted to lie down and perish."
Wally couldn't help but laugh, giving you a friendly pat on the shoulder. Wally was your best friend, you have pretty much been through it all! Julie would tease the two of you relentlessly, saying that we'd be the 'picture perfect couple' but we always joked about it and cast it aside. We were just good friends, and I was happy to say that I knew him!
"Oh come on neighbor, you weren't that bad."
"Wally, how does a person mess up Romeo and Juliet?"
Wally was about to answer before the bright and energetic came running up to the two of us.
"NEIGHBOR! WALLY! You're going to join my competition right?" She spoke excitedly, doing a twirl as she held her fliers close, before handing one to each of you. You cocked your head, confused.
"Competition? What happened to plays?" You spoke, reading over the flier. It was very colorful and bright, with red glitter over the title 'Foxtrot Dance Competition.' This was dancing, was it not?
"Yes, this is a form of...ballroom dance? Have you been hanging out with Julie again? I know how much of a romantic she is." Wally spoke, obviously teasing but Sally was oblivious, nodding her head.
"Yes! Julie would talk about how ball dances worked and thought we should incorporate them into our plays sometime. But that would mean we would need some great dancers as the leads in order to sell the play more! So! With that in mind, we came up with the idea of creating this competition, not only to see others' dance skills, but to think about leading roles for the future~"
Sally rambled on and on excitedly as I couldn't help but continue to stare at the flier, reading it. 'Foxtrot Dance Competition! Partner Required! Come test out your dancing skills! Winners get to be the star in the upcoming play!' The thought wasn't too bad! You didn't know how to dance much, you had some skill, but hey, the worst that could happen was that you would place last right? Deep in thought, Wally's voice broke you out of your thoughts.
"Thank you for the offer Sally, but I think both neighbor and I will have to de-"
"I'll do it!" You spoke with newfound excitement. It would give you something to do on these hot summer days and learn a new skill, there are no downsides!
Wally looked over at you, eyes widening. He looked at you with dilated pupils, but you couldn't help but smile excitedly. Sally couldn't either, she was beginning to shine even more than she already was! Grabbing both of my hands and pulling me up to jump up and down.
"Oh my goodness that's so exciting! Thank you neighbor I absolutely know you're going to do great and you are going to dance wonderfully and-" Sally kept on and on, jumping you in circles to the point you were almost dizzy.
Wally looked down at the flier again, contemplating before letting out a quiet sigh. What was he getting himself into? The sight of you with your wide smile though, was all that he could ask for. He loved seeing his friend smile.
"I'll join in too. You need a partner for these kinds of things, right? Neighbor, I'd like to enter with you as my partner if you don't mind~" He spoke, looking towards you with his signature smile. Your excitement only continued to grow as you grabbed Wally's hand.
"I'd absolutely love to! We are an unstoppable pair! This is going to be a breeze!"
"Well, you two better get to practicing then! The competition is the next Saturday, not this upcoming one!" Sally interrupted, tapping the flier to show the date.
"That's only...10 days away! Is that even enough time?" Wally asked, there was a hint of worry in his voice. "I don't know how to dance very well, in fact, I'm poor at it."
You never actually heard Wally admit he wasn't very good at something before, so that was a first. He was usually a confident guy, it may seem as if he was full of himself sometimes sure, but he always meant well. You couldn't help but smile.
"Well, what's the worst that'll happen Mr. Darling?"
He pondered that for a moment, shaking his head as he gave a lighthearted laugh. "Ha ha ha. Nothing too bad I guess now that I think about it! You're right neighbor. You always know how to view things positively. That's what makes you the most!"
You couldn't help but smile, as Sally looked between the two of you, a small smirk set across her face.
"Well, get to dancing you two! I want to see passion and sparks! Make my heart SOAR with your dancing! I have to tell others about this-"
"Haven't you already put fliers over the whole neighborhood?" You raised an eyebrow.
"That's barely enough! I have to get going!" Sally laughed and waved, grabbing her fliers when she spotted her next targets. With a cheerful smile, she ran towards Eddie and Frank. You could faintly hear in the distance her rambling on about the competition.
"God, does that girl ever know how to slow down?"
"Sometimes I wonder if she knows the meaning of slow."
You and Wally both looked at each other and laughed, holding the flier in your hand as you extended your other to Wally.
"Well 'Partner,' looks like you're stuck with me for the next 10 days! You ready to get your dancing shoes on?"
"You make it sound like being stuck with you is a bad thing! I'm delighted neighbor." He spoke, grabbing your hand as you lifted him off the ground and onto his feet. You couldn't help but smile at him, as you looked down at the flier once more, putting your hand to your chin as you began to pace back and forth.
"I need to make sure I have the appropriate attire, dance shoes for certain, we need to have lots of water, especially during this heatwave. Hmm...do you have a music disc? Or at least a slow-paced song?" You thought allowed, looking towards Wally who was thinking alongside you.
"I know I have one somewhere at Home, I might just have to go and dig for it is all! Other than that, I think we are as prepared as we could be. If we need to, we could always go to Howdy's Bugdega and ask for some supplies?"
"I might have to...I don't recall having any dancewear...I do know we need to start immediately! Tomorrow! After we get our supplies, let's get straight to dancing and see what we need to work on!!" You spoke enthusiastically, your hands on your hips as you had this smirk about you.
Wally couldn't help but roll his eyes and sigh a little at your disposition. It was too late to back out now, and he certainly wasn't going to. He couldn't help but remain cheery though.
"Well then neighbor, I do have a couple of things I need to do before then, like clean Home and find some records. So I will probably head back, as it is starting to become late anyways." Wally looked over to the sky, it was getting a bit late! Time always seemed to fly by when you were with each other.
You nodded and smiled, giving a little salute. "Well then Mr. Darling! I'll be at Home at nine am sharp! You better be prepared!" You half-joked, as you turned around, giving him a little wave as you began to walk back to your house.
"Be safe neighbor! I'll see you at nine am!" Wally smiled, waving goodbye as they headed back towards home.
As you began to walk home though, a pit of nervousness began to grow in your stomach. Dancing? You had no idea what you were doing! You've never slow-danced before, nonetheless been to a dance, unless you count dancing in your bedroom with the music turned up.
You sighed, making it to your home, opening the door, and heading inside, putting the flier on the kitchen counter, as you stared at it.
What did you get yourself into?

See. People on this site really piss me off.
Clown has obviously stated that they do not feel comfortable with NSFW content written for Welcome Home and there's still some childish fucking weirdos on this hellsite who are writing it (and it's on Ao3 as well).
Using the excuse of its on the internet.
I hope you all know. You're the reason why fandoms go to shit.
Not respecting the creators wishes is blatantly giving a big F you to them. And it's sad cause some of the NSFW works I've seen are written by minors. So you have no business writing it. Go do your fucking school work or some shit. Don't write NSFW work.
And to the adults writing it? Are you not fucking ashamed of yourselves? And I know some of you go around anonymously laughing and joking about how you're still gonna write it. Have fun being a fucking stupid degenerate, piece of shit. I hope nothing goes well in life for you fucking assholes.
As a fanfic writer myself. My goal is to be as respectful to the creator of the work that I write for, whether it's something like Welcome Home or something like JJBA or Polemon. You can't write about something and don't care about ther creators well being. Being fucking weird and invading their privacy, is definitely not the way to go.
Literally just respect clowns wishes. It's not that fucking hard. Just like you took the time to write the fucking shit. You can delete it to.
Take a good look at yourself and do fucking better.
And Clown if you happen to see this, I'm so sorry, I'm so fucking sorry. And I can only hope that the degenerates in this fandom fix themselves, so we can all enjoy this creation you've made.
And If your wondering, Yes, I will continue to write for Welcome Home, as I find great comfort in its characters and its been a while since I've been able to genuinely enjoy a work such as this. But no one better not DARE ask me to write NSFW, because you will be met with the block button and I will not hesitate for a second to do it.

☆ Wally darling x artist reader ☆
__________________
Ever since you moved into the neighbourhood everyone had adored your creativity.
you would always carry a sketch book and pencil with you everywhere you went, you would sketch flowers, butterfly's, houses in the neighbourhood and even your fellow neighbours.
Sometimes when you got home you would even paint too, a lot of the time you would work off of your sketches making them into colorful works of art.
There was another artist in the neighbourhood, Wally. He was an amazing painter, he would always show you his paintings and you would always tell him how amazing he is.
But you would never dare to show him your art, it wasn't nearly as good as his.
One day Julie suggested that you and Wally should paint together, but you politely declined. You were to shy to show him your paintings let alone paint with him.
But one thing you weren't shy to do was sketch him when he wasn't looking.
Wally was truly a very interesting person, so colorful, and that big fuffy hair, he was the perfect person to draw.
One day, you were at home bored so you started to flip through your sketch book. You landed on the page of Wally, the page was quite cute, sketches of him smiling and laughing and walking around the neighbourhood. He always kept a friendly smile on his face.
You smiled at the page,
"it wouldn't hurt to paint Wally, would it?" And with that, you brought your sketch book over to your easel, squeezed your paint out onto a pallet, got your paint brush and started to paint.
You hummed a tune as you painted.
It was very claming and enjoyable, but as soon as you were finishing up your painting something snapped you out of your trance. 'ring ring, ring ring, ring ring' you heard from the other room, you quickly put down your paint brush and rushed over to the phone picking it up quickly.
"Hello! Who is it?" You squeaked catching your breath
"Hello Neighbour, its Wally" you heard from the other end. You could tell it was him from his very clam voice.
"I know this is very short notice but I was wondering if I could stay over tonight? Home is a little bit mad it me for spilling paint all over the floor" he asked politely.
"Home keeps locking all the doors" he added.
"O-oh that's no good at all! Ofcourse you can stay over" you stammered twirling the cable nervously in your fingers.
"Thank you so much neighbour, I knew I could count on you~" and with that he hung up the phone.
You put down the phone and looked around your house, it was a mess.
"He never said when he would arrive" you mumbled to yourself.
You quickly ran back to your painting and started to pack all your stuff up. You put away everything in a draw, but you had a problem, where would you put this huge canvas with a painting of Wally!?
You started to panic trying to find a place to put it, running all over your house, but before you could find a place to put it, you heard a knock at your door.
"Coming!" You yelled out.
You quickly shoved the painting in the corner of your bedroom, painting facing the wall.
Soon you ran over to the door and opened it to see Wally smiling holding a small bag.
You smiled widely as your chest puffed up and down from running all over your house.
"So eager to see me you ran to the door, huh neighbour?" Wally chucked as he walked inside.
"Uh- y-yeah sure, I was just really excited to see you that's all!" You laughed awkwardly trying to cover up the real reason.
"Is that so" he said leaning closer to you, he cupped your cheek with his hand and rubbed something off your face with his thumb.
"Not preoccupied with anything else?" He held out his thumb for you to see blue paint on it.
Looks like you didn't cover up well at all.
"O-oh! I wonder how that got there! It must just be......blue frosting? Yes that's it! I-I was baking earlier" you stuttered, this cover story was even worst then the last.
Wally looked down at his thumb and licked the blue substance off it.
Your face went blank.
"For frosting it sure does taste like paint" he chucked once again.
You had no words. Not a single thing to say popped into your head. You just stood there stiff.
Wally continued to chuckle and walked over to the couch sitting down,
"tea sounds quite nice right now, doesn't it neighbour?" He said, basically telling you he wanted tea, or maybe he was getting you out of the situation you were obviously stuck in. You couldn't tell.
"Yes, tea, ofcourse!" You rushed over to the kitchen and started to boil some water in your tea kettle.
You came back to the living room and put down two beautiful white tea cups with strawberries painted on them on the coffee table.
You painted them, but he didn’t know that, and besides you didn't have any other tea cups in the house so they were your only option.
"English breakfast or Chai?" You asked
"Whatever you prefer" Wally said.
You went back into the kitchen and got the kettle and two English breakfast tea bags, then came back, put the tea bags in the tea cups and poured the boiled water in, setting down the kettle.
Wally picked up his tea cup and admired it.
"These tea cups are quite beautiful" Wally remarked,
"Where did you get them?" He asked looking up to you
"Oh I can't remember it was a long time ago" you said awkwardly, waving your hand around.
Wally took a sip of his tea, and the two of you talked, refilling your cups until night fell and you were all out of tea.
"We should get ready for bed" you said standing up form your seat.
Wally picked up his bag waiting for your instruction.
"Um, you can change into your pyjamas in the bathroom, I'll just be in my bedroom" you said pointing to the bathroom. He nodded and proceeded to the bathroom.
You went to your room, putting your pyjamas on. In a while Wally walked into your bedroom, he was in colorful stripped pyjamas that looked a bit to big for him. He smiled seeing you sit at the end of the bed.
"So, where will I be sleeping tonight?" He asked.
Oh no, you didn't even think that far, you were so fussed over hiding your painting that you forgot that he would need a place to sleep. You looked down at the bed you were sitting on, and got off it looking up to him.
"Here ofcourse!" You said.
"But where will you sleep?" He tilted his head.
"On the couch I guess?" You gulped. The thought of sleeping on the couch didn't appeal to you at all, but there wasn't anywhere else you could sleep.
"That doesn't seem very comfortable. Why don't you just come sleep with me in this bed neighbour? It's big enough for two" he suggested.
"Um, are you sure?" Your face flushed a little form the thought of it.
"I insist" Wally smiled softly, walking over to the bed, but as he did he saw something leaning up against the wall.
"a canvas?" He mummbled.
You forgot you left it there. Wally leaned down and put grabbed the sides of the canvas gently.
"No!" You yelled out. Wally looked at you a bit confused.
"Are you hiding something from me neighbour?" He asked his voice growing softer. You reluctantly nodded and sighed giving up.
Wally turned the painting around to face him, he picked it up putting it on the bed. He smiled to see a beautifully painted portrait of himself.
"Y/n, this is what you were hiding form me?" He looked over to you, a smug smile on his face.
You nodded once again.
"Did you think I wouldn’t like it?Silly, silly." Wally spoke softly.
He walked over to you, grasping your hands, intertwining his finger with yours.
"I love it" Wally said gently, his eyes meeting yours.
You blinked at him in disbelief, you were so worried over nothing at all.
You pulled your hands away from his and wrapped your arms around his chest instead, hugging him tightly.
"I'm so glad" you smiled brightly, he hugged you back softly.
"Now, shouldn't we be heading to bed?" He said
"Mhm" you hummed.
Wally walked over to the bed getting in, while you turned off the light with a squeak, which made Wally laugh, and you hurried into bed.
You shuffled away from him, as to not make him uncomfortable, but he did the exact opposite. he shuffled closer to you and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his chest. This made your face grow warm.
"Hey Y/n?" Wally whispered
"hm?" you whispered back.
"Let's paint together sometimes, okay?" He yawned, and before you could respond his eyes fluttered closed.
"goodnight Wally" you whispered burring your head into his chest.
