TOP 10 Most Expensive Gemstones in the World
1. Jadeite – more than $3 million per carat This gemstone is actually a pyroxene mineral, usually of apple green, emerald green, bluish green or leek green in color. There have also been some that are either greenish white or white with some green spots. Jadeites are colorless in the thin section of the stone. The more intense the green, the more expensive the stone will get. The Chinese, however, also value the white jadeite with green spots. A deep blue-green jadeite that emits a translucent hue has also been discovered in recent times in Guatemala. While it is considered valuable because of historical reasons as the Mesoamerican Olmec used it, the rarity of this specific kind of jadeite has yet to be established. Once the Guatemalans start actively mining for it and confirms its rarity, the value may increase even more.
2. Red Diamonds – $2 million to 2.5 million per carat This gemstone is very rare. Most of it are actually purplish red, and not crimson or pure red. A mining company located in Australia gets to find only a small number of red diamonds every year. These are then sold at an auction once every couple of years, and you can just imagine the interest, demand and price that the red diamonds command.
3. Serendibite – $1.8 million to 2 million per carat The serendibite gemstone is an extremely rare mineral that bears boron. Only two areas have been known to produce quality serendibite, namely Ratanapura in Sri Lanka and Mogok in northern Burma. Most of the serendibites found are blue green, grayish blue or pale yellow with a white streak.
4. Blue Garnet – $1.5 million per carat There are many kinds of garnet in the market. You can find it in a variety of colors, from black, brown, green, orange, pink, purple, red and yellow. There have even been some that do not have any color. But none can compare to the price of the blue garnet. This gemstone was discovered in Madagascar in the 1990s, though it has since been mined in Russia, the United States and Turkey as well. While it has a blue green shade, the generous amount of vanadium in the stone makes it emit a purplish hue when it is held against incandescent lighting.
5.Grandidierite – $100,000 per carat Alfred Grandidier was a natural historian famed in the archaeology world for his discovery in Madagascar of the skeletons and remains of an elephant bird that weighed half a ton and that has been extinct for thousands of years.  He is also famous in the world of gemology for discovering in Sri Lanka a rare stone that transmits blue, green and white light. Initially, they thought it was the gemstone serendibite, but after closer scrutiny, gemologists concluded that it was a totally new stone. It was thereafter named after Grandidier.
6. Painite – $50,000 – 60,000 per carat Discovered in the 1950s by the Englishman Arthur C. Pain, painite is a rare borate material. It has a natural hexagon shape and has an orange-red or brownish-red color. Trace amounts of iron, vanadium and chromium are present in the stone.  While it used to be the rarest stone in the world, more have been unearthed and discovered in Burma recently.
7. Musgravite – $35,000 per carat This gemstone is actually a silicate mineral that was first discovered in Australia in an area called Musgrave. While similar minerals have since been unearthed in Madagascar, Greenland and Sri Lanka, it is still considered very rare. There are trace amounts of aluminum, berrylium and magnesium present in the stone.
8. Bixbite – $10,000 per carat This gemstone is also known as the red beryl emerald. It is very rare and has been found only in a couple of places in Utah called Juab County and Beaver County, and in Sierra County in New Mexico. Most of the red beryl that are gem-grade can be found in Violet Claim. This is located in the Wah Wah Mountains of midwest Utah. A Filmore, Utah local named Lamar Hodges discovered the bixbites by accident. He was a mineral prospector who was actually looking for uranium when he stumbled upon the red beryls.
9. Black Opal – $2,355 per carat Opal is the national gemstone of Australia, which produces 97 percent of the world’s supply. The southern portion of the country alone produces 80 percent of all opals. Opal is not a mineral, as it is actually an amorphous form of silica that is related to quartz. Up to 20 percent of the stone’s weight is made up of water.  The internal structure of this gemstone makes it diffract light, and it may come in a variety of colors ranging from blue, brown, gray, green, magenta, olive, orange, pink, red, rose, slate, white and yellow. But the most rare and most expensive are the black opals. The stone has also been unearthed in Brazil, Mexico, the United States, Mali and Ethiopia.
10. Jeremejevite – $2000 per carat This gemstone is actually made of aluminum borate mineral with fluoride and hydroxide ions. Pavel Vladimirovich Eremeev discovered it in Siberia. Most of this stone are colored blue or yellow. White and colorless versions of this gem have also been discovered. Jeremejevite has since been unearthed in other areas as well, notably in Namibia, the Eifel District in Germany and the Pamir Mountain area in Tajikistan.

Many couples choose to use chalkboards or whiteboards since they are erasable and you can rewrite rewrite rewrite! Another option is printing out, or even drawing, some custom signs of your own. We see "Save the Date" signs used a lot in engagement photo shoots while "Thank You" signs (for thank you cards after the wedding) are popular among couples taking pre-wedding photos.
2. Hobby Props. This is possibly the most popular type of prop for couples taking engagement and pre-wedding photos. Whether a hobby was how you met your special partner, or it simply helped you to both bond even closer, hobby-related props are a personable and fun thing to include into your photo shoots. The Most Beautiful Abandoned Castles Around The World
1. Chateau de Noisy (above), Namur, Belgium This neo-Gothic palace, also known as Miranda Castle, was erected in 1866 for the Liedekerke-De Beaufort family. They resided here until the rise of Nazi Germany and World War II. German forces occupied Chateau de Noisy during the Battle of the Bulge, as combat raged through the nearby Ardennes forest. The building was later used as an orphanage and a holiday residence for sick children. It has been uninhabited since 1991 and today stands in a sad state of disrepair, with crumbling ceilings and scorch marks from fire damage.
2. Castello di Sammezzano, Regello, Italy Venture just outside of Florence to behold this grand hilltop palazzo. Built in 1605 for the Ximenes of Aragon, it was remodeled in the late 19th century into a Moorish Revivalist style full of dazzling color and detailed patterns by Ferdinand Panciatichi Ximenes. It boasts 365 rooms and was a luxury hotel in the past century before slipping into abandonment. Efforts are reportedly underway to restore Castello di Sammezzano to its original opulence.
3. Gwyrch Castle, Abergele, North Wales The original owners of this early 19th-century palace were the Bamford-Hesketh family. It was passed down to heiress Winifred the Countess of Dundonald, a patron of Welsh art and music. Her husband, the 12th Earl of Dundonald spent most of his time in his homeland of Scotland, leaving the Countess to entertain guests and happily manage the grounds on her own. Psychics today note high paranormal activity where the main entrance once stood, as well sightings of a young woman gazing out a window. Some believe the figure to be the spirit of a servant girl; others say it’s the Countess herself.
4. Chateau de Carnelle, Saint-Martin-du-Tertre, France Surrounded by the lush greenery of Carnelle forest, this striking chateau dates back to 1876 when the Duke of Massa had the castle constructed in the likeness of Chateau de Maison-Laffite. It served as an infirmary in the 1930s, but as modern drugs emerged to treat illness, its number of patients dwindled. In 1992, the chateau was shuttered completely. A restoration is currently in the works, but that doesn’t seem to stop curious visitors from finding their way inside.
5. Dundas Castle, Roscoe, New York Nestled in New York’s Catskill Mountains is Craig-E-Clair Castle, or Dundas Castle. Ralph Wurts-Dundas began construction of the dwelling in 1915. The Gothic exterior and fairytale appearance hid the luxuries within—porcelain tile work, marble flooring, electricity and radiators in many of its 36 rooms. Sadly, Dundas passed away in 1921 before construction was complete. A year later, Dundas’ surviving wife was committed to a sanitarium, and his young daughter lost the family fortune to greedy castle caretakers. The space was used as a children’s camp and a Masonic retreat house in subsequent years. While the Masons still own the property, the castle has certainly seen better days.
6. Muromtzevo Castle, Sudogda, Russia The legend of Muromtzevo Castle dates back to the late-19th century, when a Russian nobleman put the skills of a great architect to the test. Vladimir Khrapovitsky had just returned home from France and was incensed that a Frenchman declared Russia to be an inferior country. So Khrapovitsky hired architect P. S. Boitzov of Moscow to design a grand estate. Boitzov responded with a palace in the style of a medieval German castle, replete with French touches, horse stables, and a pond. Unfortunately for Khrapovitsky, the growing unrest of the Russian Revolution at the turn of the century forced him to flee and live out his final days in poverty. The palace was used as a college and a hospital in subsequent years. Today, it stands in ruin.
7. Bannerman Castle, Cold Spring, New York Scottish immigrant and army surplus businessman Francis Bannerman VI purchased Pollepel Island on New York’s Hudson River in November 1900. Whether he knew it or not, Pollepel possessed a sinister reputation; Native Americans believed the island to be malevolent and avoided it at all costs at night. The eccentric Scot moved forward with his purchase, designing a Medieval castle that eschewed right angles. The massive structure served as a surplus storage facility—the Bannermans owned millions of rounds of ammunition, having bought up mass quantities of military weaponry in the wake of the Civil and Spanish-American Wars.

The Rarest Diamond in The World You Can Buy
1. Graff Venus There are many candidates for the title of the world’s most beautiful diamond but Graff’s newly unveiled Venus is surely a contender. The largest ever flawless, D colour, heart-shaped stone at 118.78 carats, it took specially invented tools to cut it and it is worth every hour of the many months of thought and work that created it.
2. The Golden Empress diamond One of the newest diamond to join the elite handful of top ranking rare diamonds is Graff’s Golden Empress. The Fancy Intense cushion cut yellow diamond weighs in at 132.55 carats and was cut from a 299 carat opaque diamond discovered in Lethoso. The rough diamond also yielded six pear-shaped and two brilliant round satellite diamonds.
3. The Millennium Star diamond Unveiled as the centrepiece of De Beer’s 1999 Millennium Diamonds collection, this incredible 203.04 carat diamond is the world’s second-largest grade D (top colour) flawless diamond after the privately owned Centenary Diamond. The stone, which is cut from a 777 carat diamond discovered in Congo in 1990, was so famous that within weeks of it going on display at the Millennium Dome an attempt to steal it during a jewellery heist was foiled by the Metropolitan Police.
4. The Incomparable diamond Louis Glick offered the stone for auction at Christie’s in 1988 but the lot was withdrawn when it failed to reach the reserve price of $20 million – at least $8.5 million more than had ever been bid for a single stone. In 2002 Glick tried his luck on eBay but, at $15 million, the lot failed to gain any interest. Eventually it passed to Mouawad Jewellery who used the diamond as the centrepiece of its currently unsold L’Incomparable necklace which, with a price tag of $55 million, set a new world record as the world's most expensive necklace.
5. The Wittelsbach-Graff diamond As if further proof was needed of Graff’s dealings with some of the world’s most exquisite diamonds, the third stone in our list to be in the company's possession is the Wittelsbach-Graff. An exceptionally rare 31.06 carat internally flawless deep blue stone, it originated in the Kollur mines of Andhara Pradesh and first belonged to King Philip IV of Spain for inclusion in his daughter’s dowry. It was bought by Laurence Graff in 2008 for £16.4 million and has been displayed at both The Smithsonian and Natural History Museum of New York.
6. The Oppenheimer blue diamond One of there rarest gems in the world, the Oppenheimer diamond became the largest Vivid Blue diamond ever to appear at auction when it went under the hammer at Christie's Magnificent Jewels sale in Geneva on May 18, 2016. Named for its previous owner and diamond connoisseur Sir Phillip Oppenheimer, this 14.62 carat rectangular-cut stone was accompanied by its original platinum mounting and a monograph from the Gemological Institute of America attesting its rarity, provenance and clarity.
7. De Beers Millennium Jewel 4 This 10.10 carat, Internally Flawless, Fancy Vivid blue diamond is the largest oval blue diamond ever to appear for auction and is set be sold by Sotheby's Hong Kong on April 5, 2016. As the name suggests, it was part of the De Beers Millennium Jewels collection, comprising 10 rare blue diamond and one 203.4 carat white diamond (the Millennium Star - also in this list) which were displayed at the Millennium Dome and the subject of a consequent attempted jewellery heist.

Best Fly Patterns For Trout Fishing this Summer
A list of the “10 best flies for trout fishing” could almost double as a list for “10 best flies” period. There’s a reason that trout are the target of choice for most fly anglers. Not only are they common in bodies of water all over the country, but they also respond well to a plethora of different fly patterns. We’ve compiled some of the most successful trout flies.
1. Parachute Adams The Adams is rather widely considered to be the most essential fishing fly, period. That fact counts for double in the trout fishing realm, where the Adams is quite simply indispensible. The fly comes in a variety of different variations and sizes, and if push comes to shove and you can only have one version of the Adams in your tackle box, for trout fishing, the best design is the Parachute Adams. It’s a dry fly that can hook trout on the surface of rivers and streams throughout America during virtually any time of year – even seasons that are not traditionally considered to be hotspots for trout anglers. This is because the Parachute Adams bears a passing resemblance to a lot of different insect types, making it one of the most versatile flies in any trout angler’s arsenal.
2. Woolly Bugger Despite the Parachute Adams’ status as one of the most versatile and oft-seen flies in all of trout fishing, there are plenty of anglers who would place it at number two on their “top trout flies” list. The beneficiary of that move in most cases would be the Woolly Bugger, a streamer that has the versatility below the surface that the Parachute Adams has above it. From nymphs to leeches and beyond, the Bugger is adept at imitating plenty of underwater prey, and the addition of different colors and beads to the design only adds to its usefulness.
3. Elk Hair Caddis As a general purpose dry fly, the Elk Hair Caddis is often forced to play second fiddle to the Parachute Adams. There’s a reason: the Adams can be used to catch virtually any type of fish in any type of environment. However, for those whose interest in fly fishing rests almost exclusively in catching trout, the Elk Hair Caddis may just take the gold medal as the most essential dry fly out there. In fact, the Elk Hair Caddis has become arguably the most popular fly in fishing shops simply because trout fall for its distinctive and realistic appearance every time.
4. Bunny Leech The role that the Elk Hair Caddis plays for the Parachute Adams in the dry fly department is arguably similar to the role that the Bunny Leech fly plays to the Woolly Bugger. While many would swear up and down that the marabou tail and chenille body of the Woolly Bugger is the perfect combination for catching trout below the surface, there are also plenty of anglers who would tell you that rabbit fur is the more effective material simply because it offers more movement and visual flare in the water. Think about it: there are really no flies more visually impressive than rabbit fur flies, and if you think that, you can bet that the fish do as well.
5. Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear Speaking of wet flies with visual flare, the Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear is yet another classic fly that should have a place in any trout angler’s tackle box. The defining characteristic of the fly – other than its flashy golden sheen – is its sheer versatility. In different sizes, the Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear can be fished as a caddis fly, a scud, a nymph, a mayfly, a stonefly, and who knows how many other species. In short, it will catch trout no matter what type of insect they have a hankering for.
6. Crayfish Not all trout anglers remember a Crayfish fly when stocking their tackle box with wet flies, but it can actually prove to be a secret weapon for when other flies just aren’t doing the trick. This is because the Crayfish fly adds a completely different type of prey species to your imitative capabilities. In saltwater, everyone knows that crustacean flies are important. In freshwater, that fact is easy to forget, but crayfish are everywhere, and a fly that imitates them is an important thing to have in your box. Strip it along the seafloor to incite particularly predatory reactions in fish.
7. Pheasant Tail Nymph The Pheasant Tail Nymph fly functions similarly to the Gold-Ribbed Hare’s Ear, using its sinking nymph distinction to mimic a wide variety of bait species in the eyes of trout. From a visual perspective, it’s not as flashy as the Hare’s Ear. Still, this fly has been proven over the years as an effective and reliable means of catching fish, and that’s ultimately the most important thing.
8. San Juan Worm Like the Crayfish, the San Juan Worm is a fly pattern that is, for whatever reason, often forgotten by anglers. This could be because anglers get so caught up in patterns that mimic insects and underwater baitfish that they forget about or spurn the original baiting solution: the worm. Or it could be the fly’s exotic roots in New Mexico’s San Juan River. Whatever the reason for this oversight, the San Juan Worm is a nymph fly that deserves to be in your tackle box. Its simplistic red design may not look like much, but it does look like a worm and it will fool trout.
9. Muddler Minnow Many would place the Clouser Minnow – one of the default flies for any type of angler – on this list simply for its significance in fly fishing as a whole. However, the Muddler Minnow is, by many accounts, a more effective means for landing trout than its clouser cousin. Fish this streamer as a sculpin or a grasshopper in virtually any lake, river, or stream in America. If you don’t see results, then you can consider switching it out for the clouser.
10. Soft Hackle Slot number 10 could play host to a seemingly infinite number of trout flies. We went with the Soft Hackle, a wet fly that gives the Woolly Bugger a run for its money in the number of species it can successfully imitate. Swing this through a run and you may be surprised at the success. How to Tie and Fish a Flounder Bucktail Rig

Best Scuba Diving Destinations With Sharks
1. Fish Rock Cave, Australia Located off the east coast of Australia, the 125 metre long Fish Rock Cave is home to some of the most sought after marine life in the world. It is renowned for its high number of grey nurse sharks who reside here all year round, so swimming with these graceful creatures is almost a guarantee. In the summer months, grey nurse sharks rest in the shallow end of the cave, making for fantastic diving.
Divers can also hope to spot wobbegong sharks, black rays, giant cuttlefish and black cod within the cave, while moray eels, blue groper and turtles can be seen on the fringes. Depths range from 12 to 24 metres and due to its varied marine life, Fish Rock is one of the world's most amazing cave dive sites. Anyone exploring Sydney on a superyacht and heading north to Brisbane can easily make a stop at the iconic dive site in New South Wales.
2. Beqa lagoon, Fiji On the edge of the Beqa Lagoon is a section of protected reef known as the Shark Reef Marine Reserve, now home to a bull shark tagging programme that monitors their behaviour and ecology. The bull sharks share their home with seven other species of shark, including tiger sharks, silvertips and gray reefs, as well as giant groupers and eagle rays.
Drop anchor off Beqa Island and tender to Pacific Harbour to arrange a guided or unguided dive to the Beqa Lagoon with Beqa Adventure Divers. The Shark Dive covers a number of different sites and divers can watch a variety of shark species who are accustomed to visitors, making this trip a must for shark fanatics who are looking to discover breathtaking Fiji on a superyacht.
3. Tiger Beach, Bahamas The Bahamas are arguably the shark diving capital of the world. Tiger Beach on Grand Bahama has become a shark swimming hotspot as it is a prime location to see tiger sharks. The sharks live in the shallow waters over an immense sandbank and come in close proximity to divers. It is not strictly a natural encounter as the dive instructors use bait to attract them. However, it does offer a great chance to get up close and personal to the 16-foot predators. A diving experience in Tiger Beach can easily be incorporated into a private cruise or a luxury yacht charter in the North Bahamas. If you want the opportunity to be involved in helping to protect sharks in the area Miami Fleet is offering a scientific learning expedition on board superyacht Usher.
4. Moorea, French Polyneisa The French Polynesian waters play host to a variety of different species of sharks. The most common are blacktip reef sharks which can be easily identified by the black tips on each fin. Although curious all the sharks inside the lagoons are predominately non-aggressive unless provoked. If you anchor your superyacht in Moorea it is possible to swim with stingrays and sharks in their natural environment without even using a guide. The abundent sea life is just one of many reasons to consider discovering French Polynesia on a superyacht.
5. South Mahé, Seychelles If you want to experience swimming with whale sharks then South Mahé in the Seychelles is one of the best places in the world to have the opportunity. The island is on the migratory path of these majestic beasts. The season usually starts in September and runs until November, with peak sightings during October each year. A diving expedition to try and swim with the illusive whale shark can be incorporated as part of seven days exploring the Seychelles on a superyacht.
6. Galapagos Islands, Ecuador The Galapagos Islands are synonymous with environmental protection and a plethora of wildlife and this is also the case for its shark population. Regularly voted as the best diving location in the world the Galapagos offer the opportunity to get up close with scalloped hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, and sometimes even whale sharks. As the name would suggest, one of the best places to view sharks is Shark Point, off Wolf Island. There are no land visits to this island and the dive site is only for experienced divers.
7. Rhode Island, USA As well as boasting some of the best shipwreck dives in the world Rhode Island also offers blue and mako shark expeditions. Named after their radiant colour, blue sharks migrate thousands of miles each year but in certain areas come close to the shoreline. Encounters with the sharks usually don’t involve scuba diving kit but a full wetsuit is required along with a hood, gloves, mask, fins and snorkel. Shark season in Rhode Island runs from June through to August.
8. Cocos Islands, Costa Rica In the waters off the Cocos Islands, which are more than 300 miles from Costa Rica's coastline, you can see scalloped hammerhead sharks in vast numbers. This experience used to only be open to experienced divers but it is now possible to enjoy the spectacle inside a three man submersible. The sharks are in the area throughout the year but numbers peak between June and October. A visit to the Cocos Islands can be combined as part of a private cruise of luxury yacht charter in Costa Rica.
9. Monad Shoal, Philippines Thresher sharks normally live in deep water and are nocturnal so can be a difficult spot for divers. Although they can be found elsewhere Monad Shoal is where they are most regularly sighted. Monad Shoal was recently made a marine park in order to try and protect them. The best time to catch a glimpse of these sharks is before sunrise so this experience will require your alarm clock to be set early.

Best Places To Fish in the World
1. The Bahamas The Bahamas are arguably the home of big game fishing with the waters around the islands holding some large species including marlin, tuna, mahi-mahi, and sailfish. Records are set in The Bahamas nearly every year as some of the world’s best fisherman try and cast their reels for the ultimate catch. The Abacos islands are particularly good for big game, with a host of tournaments throughout the summer. Trying to catch the “big one” can easily be incorporated as part of a private superyacht vacation or luxury yacht charter in the Bahamas.
2. Costa Rica Costa Rica’s rich coastlines offer some of the best sport fishing in the world with each coast distinctively different. On the Pacific side, you are spoilt for choice with the chance to fish for dorado, tuna, wahoo, marlin, roosterfish, snapper and more. While the Caribbean side of the country is renowned for its big snook and big tarpon. Scotland’s waters also offer plenty of opportunities for trout fishing. Although it may often require a drive of a helicopter flight a fly-fishing experience can be enjoyed as past of luxury yacht charter in Scotland. Or you could chose to vacation like Roman Abramovich and take your own superyacht to Scotland.
6. Saint Lucia volcanic island of Saint Lucia provides some of the deepest waters in the Caribbean, which means that fantastic big game fishing is possible just a few miles off the island.
