hey friend
@yerilth
we’ve never spoken before but I recently read your old deviantart comic “The Stitchpunk Chronicles” and I really enjoyed it.
I’m new to the 9 fandom and reading through it was really fun for me! (Yes, I read the whole thing!)
I know that you discontinued it awhile ago and I’m not asking you to make more (unless you wanted to) but I just wanted to let you know that I can see how much hard work and passion you put into it, and I for one really enjoyed it.
So remember not to get too down on yourself. It’s a rough, sometimes scary world out there but you seem like a good and talented person so please never stop creating!
Thanks for reading if you see this and have a lovely evening!

unfortunately that’s nothing new. the general public has never given two shits about psychotic people.
In 1937, 2/3rds of the American public was in favor of sterilizing insane people and by 1945, after a Supreme Court ruling deeming it constitutional, over 50,000 were sterilized under the pretense that they were insane (about half were patients in asylums at the time of their sterilization). For context, that means that 10% of the total asylum population was sterilized within a decade and America was the first country wherein eugenics was legal.
In fact, Hitler was directly inspired by an American Eugenicist (Madison Grant) to simply kill the mentally defective (insane people) in gas chambers in order to cleanse the gene pool, and, under Nazi Germany, over 70,000 mental “defectives” were killed in those gas chambers proposed by Grant before concentration camps were even existent.
The only reason the eugenics movement in America stopped was because the Nazis extended it to include sane people. If it weren’t for the implications that eugenics ended up posing for the sane, we might be living in a very different world right now.
Sorry if that’s dark but that’s the historical truth and activists today not giving a shit doesn’t surprise me at all since even I, who was generally in honors and AP classes (and even took a psych course in high school), didn’t learn this and as they say, those who do not learn their history are doomed to repeat it.
The best part of being psychotic is when sane activists remind you that they don’t give a single fuck about psychotic people, our feelings, or our safety in activist spaces :)
