Little things I noticed in the new insider set! Animatsu flavour!
I have a bunch of other interpretations that I can’t exactly vocalize coherently yet so i’ll move on !! I’m actually really dizzy so maybe it was a bad idea to write this asdhfhdf
Osomatsu’s brothers are all compartmentalized in little boxes placed in the slowly breaking wall! Probably a sign that Oso wants to keep his brothers with him — even if they don’t want to be. They’re trapped and the only one who can let them out is the Insider!Oso, who looks confident and cocky! A tyrannical nii-chan
Money and betting tickets(?) surround him as well, so perhaps a part of him is also aware that his gambling habits are unhealthy and destructive to both himself and his brothers— but he has so much fun with it he can’t bring himself to stop? Or maybe!! The money being used belongs to his brothers and family, and Oso leeches off of them! So the insider Oso probably treats his brothers not as brothers, but as toys he can play with whenever he wants!! Is that a reach? Probably aaa
The real Osomatsu seems really upset at this… trying to punch himself. He probably !! Really hates that part of himself and denies it’s existence! Forcibly putting it away to be the model big brother he always wants to be even though that might be impossible. But look at that insiders shit eating grin, that menacing smile om both his face and his mask— he knows that Oso can’t deny him forever :(

Karamatsu’s Insider is a sad soft boy :’( hug him … Kara’s insider background is also more noticeably shattered than the rest of his brothers, with arrows being stuck in the glass with fine points than blocks! A friend of mine pointed out how these might be the word arrows Totty used back in season 1 episode 8 (i think!), so maybe words hurt Karamatsu more than he cares to admit! His sunglasses, a key part of his identity, is also broken!! And the shadow/insider Kara is crying —
BUT !! Real Kara offers his shadow/insider comfort … and Insider!Kara looks bewildered at the act of affection poor baby ;; maybe there’s a sense that he isn’t used to he cared about.. it’s interesting to note that his mask is sad instead of smiling!
Kara trusts Kara
Choro’s insider is a bit more straightforward! Being reminscent of his Choromatsu rising episode! With the tentacles, his cardboard “office stuff” and his iconic idol glowsticks !!
BUT LOOK CLOSELY …. thorned vines hold Choromatsu’s interest in place. Trying to remove his interests would hurt anyone !! His brothers, his friends, even himself! So perhaps insider uses these thorny vines to deter anyone from trying to keep him from being “happy” even though it’s a happiness he can’t hold onto forever, which arguably harms him? Arguably !!
His Insider looks like he’s trying to reassure his true self !! “It’s okay! You’re here now! Accept this part of yourself” Is what i read as his expression— even his mask has a pleasant smile! But real Choro looks annoyed ..
NOTE THESE ARE ALL MY INTERPRETATIONS !! IVE YET TO LOOK TOO DEEP INTO THE OTHERS BUT ,, WHH I MIGHT TRY LATER ,,, THIS WAS LONGER THAN EXPECTED IM SORRY !
