Third, I know you avoid couples among team seven so I probably already lost this battle, but NaruSasuSaku is a couple so wronged by this fandom that I need to try to make a request about them.

Naruto is usually the most talkative about his feelings and constantly makes Sasuke and Sakura blush passionately with everything he says. He is the joker in the relationship, although nothing is more serious and sacred to him than his feelings. Sasuke, on the other hand, is the type who shows more than he says, he will do anything for Naruto and Sakura, even hiding a body if he needs to. He loves them and feels that saying it would never be enough, because this feeling is much bigger than himself. Loving them is his salvation from the world and he always wants to protect them. Sakura, however, is like a shining star to both of them. She brings life and warmth to them with her determined and sassy personality, challenging them and putting them in line when needed. She is the one who takes them to all the most incredible places and usually shows her feelings both with words and gestures of affection. Both, Naruto and Sasuke are jealous of how popular she is among people in general. And the three know very well how to understand each other when they fight, as their disagreements exude sexual tension.

Anyway, I would love a piece from you about the three of them in a romantic or sensual context.

yemen is the poorest nation in the arab world. but in two weeks time, it did what no oil or gas- rich arab nation could do. by seizing three ships and costing i****l more than 2 billion by forcing its ships to go around africa, yemen showed up.

idt ive mentioned this in a while but i think the reason sasukes narrative is so violently misogynistic without the character himself really being so is that kishimoto has the habit of using the abuse and disregard of women as a measurement of a characters inner darkness. when naruto turns into the four tails or whatever and starts burning his skin away that comes with endangering sakuras life and showing that hes losing his humanity with this lack of control. the same narrative pressure is placed on sasuke over and over again where he leaves the village but first you have to see his inner darkness with him knocking sakura out. logically we know that like,,,, she threatened him first and knocking someone out isnt that big of a deal when youre both ninjas. but in story sakura loses that personhood (or ninjahood) and instead just becomes a helpless woman who can only threaten to scream if sasuke leaves. 

we see this same thing played out with the two of them time and time again. sakura attacks him and sasuke retaliates and logically it makes sense but kishimoto consistently reverts sakura back to just a helpless woman in the way he presents it and the tone. we can recognize that sakura is facing dehumanization and misogyny which is why when we all begin analyzing naruto for the first time we stan sakura and hate sasuke.  

karins also a good example of this because she gets this treatment twice with different results. sasuke accidentally sets her on fire and instead of discarding her like suigetsu suggests he quells the flames and saves her life. this contrasts later on when karin is captured by danzo and instead of her being a viable hostage sasuke just stabs her. 

and its like. one of the more misogynistic moments in naruto. karin goes from a ninja to just a damsel in distress who cant break free of a fucking arm hold from a dying man. sasuke throws her life away like trash and logically we know he would do the same exact thing if it was suigetsu being held or kakashi or juugo or whoever. 

but kishimoto would never write a man receiving that treatment. that isnt edgy enough. that doesnt show the extreme darkness overtaking sasukes mind. only  the abuse of women can portray this accurately. 

so it ends up with this fucked up narrative where we as the readers logically can follow that the majority of sasukes actions arent actually abusive or misogynistic, but the intent of the writing is still based on the subjugation of women. 

theres no reason why two ninjas engaged in battle wouldnt hit each other or knock the other out or whatever. but for some reason were not able to see sasuke engage in battle w a woman without kishimoto reverting the girl into a fucking civilian and waxing poetic about the darkness of sasukes heart  

like we are not saying you must strip these characters of all established personality and analyze and discuss them solely from an extra narrative perspective, but it’s kind of ridiculous at this point that the fandom can summarily dismiss sakura’s feelings for sasuke as contrived bc they seem to contradict her prior characterization at a point (and i agree with that lol) and see this obsessive pursuit as a way to keep sakura as a character kneecapped bc kishi has limited imagination when it comes to women

but then look at this arc where sasuke suddenly turns into this

is at a level of derangement he didn’t even manage to achieve when he was under the influence of a fucking mind warping seal and various other mind fucks

is discarding his teammate after saving her life a week prior

is doing this in correlation with him finally becoming an overtly anti-konoha character who kills someone that absolutely 100% needed to die, for justice he’s entitled to as a victim of genocide

and STILL their takeaway is that sasuke is the toxic hypermasculinity character of this series - like bro, yes his story is imbued with misogyny as with every other characters, but you don’t draw or write someone in this insane way if you want your male fans to aspire to them - which is the point of hypermasculinity! the point is writers encourage and enjoy it! sasuke is clearly being spun as a lunatic so you as viewers don’t have to take his vendetta seriously, bc that would be inconvenient for naruto. naruto will never be portrayed as abruptly going “too far” in his loyalty to konoha. even when he covers up the uchiha massacre (which unlike the scene w karin, actually is totally consistent w his character thus far) there’s no ominous music or crazy faces, it’s just him and itachi chilling, and fandom ate it up.

when you see naruto as the ideal man who has his shit together and sasuke as the hysterical bitch he needs to save and sakura as this airhead who should’ve just fucked naruto - that’s the takeaway the series wants you to have. you try to put a woke spin on it but ultimately you are just going along with the misogynistic jingoistic bs that plagues much of anime and fiction in general. you’re not being smart or incisive lol.
