sevika genuinely hates jinx. always has. she just isn’t a kid person, period. as far as sevika’s concerned, jinx is a menace and a liability. she’s tried to kill jinx at least thee(3) times

jinx, of course, doesn’t tell silco, not because she doesn’t think silco will believe her or because she thinks it’ll hurt silco to know his number two is actively trying to kill his daughter, but because she genuinely doesn’t like sevika either. idk if jinx hates her, per se, but she DEFINITELY loves holding these murder attempts over sevika’s head because she’s a goddamn menace and a half. it’s the only reason sevika let’s her get away with the shit she does, and i 100% believe she uses it to blackmail the fuck outta her

The way people write about powder/jinx in fics makes me kind of sick. They talk about it like they are two different people and that one is good and one is evil. As a mentally ill person myself It just fucking repulses me. I'm so tired of hearing people talk about her like that. Idk how to describe it.

I think Sevika’s relationships with Silco and Jinx are really interesting—she fully rejects the role of the parent or older sibling to Jinx, yet she’s also watched Jinx grow up (and arguably dealt with her antics for an equal or longer period of time than the time that Vi has spent with Powder). Similarly, Sevika isn’t anything close to being a “partner” to Silco, and the plot makes it a point to highlight how Silco has often failed to recognize her achievements and loyalty, yet she’s also not just a “number two” under his control; Silco clearly trusts her a lot and knows what she’s capable of (i mean, he almost shits his pants in the fakeout assassination scene). She’s also clued in enough to sympathize with Silco’s and Jinx’s turbulent parent-child relationship to an extent, even if she personally wants Jinx out of the picture. I’m not sure where to put her in this dynamic, but i do like how she doesn’t fit perfectly into the “found family” or the trope of “gruff and menacing badass grows fond of adopted child”, as there’s still a bit of distance between her and Silco and Jinx that allows her to stand alone as a character. 

Silco processing things headcanon

Another strong Silco headcanon I have is that he’s always been the sort of person to shout “I’M FINE” when hurt, even before he’s actually checked. This makes him look tough and has been a good survival strategy in a world where “there was never enough to go around”. So the whole Vander-drowning incident? “I’M FINE, I NO LONGER HATE YOU, YOU MADE ME STRONGER” (and in fairness, he does not appear to have dedicated the years of the first timeskip to trying to destroy Vander, though he takes an opportunity when it is presented to him).  However he has absolutely no idea how to really process any of the significant bad things that have happened to him, so tends to just push them down to remain functional. To be fair, “functional” may be the best state he can hope to achieve and he only has to hold it together until Zaun is free. Once you get to a certain age you have to give up on fixing yourself completely and accept that everyone’s personality is held together with duct tape and staples anyway. …and that’s why I am still sad about him.
