Traction - Channel Bull’s Eye
In this figure, the three channels (Viral Marketing, Speaking Engagement & Business Development ) are the most promising based on the economical and social aspects. The channels on the middle part of the figure could possibly work but it may cost a lot of money and costumers maybe hard to find using this channels.

Meeting with the Barangay Council
Yesterday, my father and I went to the office of Barangay Lilingayon to attend a meeting regarding the status of the water system of their barangay. We arrived there by around 10:30 am and the meeting started by 11 am. The kagawads and the barangay captain was there. We submitted to the council the initial design as well as the initial estimate of the total project.
The council approved the initial design submitted and will be submitting the estimates as per the request of Congressman Roque to prepare a budget for the proposed project of the barangay.
The final design details of the project will be submitted once the road right of way from the DPWH will be confirmed and the location where the pipe will be laid is final.

Instead of showing the engineering plans to the residents, which many of them would find it hard to understand due to its technicality, I just placed it in a layman's term in explaining to them all my key features of my product. Many of the residents like the key features of my product because it mainly solves their problem which is the inconsistency and inconvenience of the water supply.
These are some of their replies:
“Ang advantages is di na maibut ang hose para lang isumpay ang hose paingun sa balay. Ug patuloy pud ang paggamit di naka maproblemahan.”
“Ang disadvantages kay mgtaha kag gamit sa tubig kay naa namay metrohan.”
“oo uy, sang.ayon kaayo ky advantage na nga naa nami tubig permi.”
“By having a proper water supply, there will be an equal distribution from the near-source residents up to the distant-from-the-source residents.”
“Di na sayangon ang tubig og naa nay tubig para sa tanan.”
“bahalag mag bayad mi og mas mahal sa 50 nga naay tubig pirme kaysa way sure ang tubig.”
For the side of the Lilingayon Water Works Association, they have no objections to the design because it is the design that they need and the design they like to implement for the entire barangay. The barangay officials are asking for an estimate for the proposed project.

So this is my first version of my BMC for the water distribution system.
Above, we can see that the residents are my customers. They are having a difficult time in their water supply so I will be providing them with a Level 3 water distribution system design. Through the help of the Lilingayon Water Works Assoc., I will be able to provide the residents with the water that they will be needing in every day.
In order to get and keep my customers, I will provide convenience and maintenance for the consumers’ water supply.

Interview Day 2
Today, I had a follow-up interview with some of the residents in Lilingayon through messenger. In our conversation, I asked them a series of questions and these are their answers. 1.How many people per small source? How much does small time owners profit from the monthly payment? More than 10 households. The small owners earn around 500-1000 pesos per month.
2. Who is in charge of its maintenance and management? There’s no maintenance. The residents just pay monthly. If there’s a broken pipe, it is the consumers' responsibility to replace it and not the source owner.
3. Is the water supply consistent with business owners? According to a resident, there are no big business establishments there.         There are only sari-sari stores, vulcanizing shops, and motor parts. The water distribution is hourly then they will shut it down so that the next household will use the water.
4. How many small-time operators are there in the barangay? There are four (4) small sources in the Lower Lilingayon while the Center and Upper Lilingayon share the same source.
The following questions below were asked to Engr. Pueblo, who has a greater knowledge of the water system project.
1. Will the Barangay Captain be in charge of the water supply? He answered. "No, the Lilingayon Water Works Association is a private association that is being registered in the SEC. The officers in this association will not be government officials."
2. Was there a feasibility study conducted by the water district? He also said, "No, the water district didn’t conduct a feasibility study in Lilingayon aside from the high elevation of the area, Lilingayon has a distance of 30 kilometers from Valencia City which is already outside the area of service or jurisdiction of the water district." According to Engr. Pueblo, the water district already gave a certificate that they will not be using the water of  Lilingayon due to distance.
The barangay has twin springs (Tibalaog spring) where they will draw water from it. The spring has a discharge of 0.035 cu.m per sec. Or 13 barrels per minute.
3. How will you deal with the owners when the design will be implemented in the barangay? Implementing a water supply that goes directly to their homes provide convenience for them and the rest of the residents in the barangay thus they should abide if water supply will be implemented.

Questions and answers.
So today, I interviewed via facebook some of my friends from Barangay Lilingayon. I listed down what their current situation is about and their respective alternatives to their current problem.
According to Roxette who lives in Lower Lilingayon, she is not satisfied with the water because they don’t have a reliable water supply. Before, she uses drums to stock water from the nearest water source. But right now, she connects to a neighboring water supply and pays 50 pesos per month to one of who owns a water source.
Reinheart from the Upper Lilingayon told me that their water is not sufficient for their needs. They basically conserve water through plastic gallons and buckets. They fetch water from a near water source.
Chris who lives at Center Lilingayon told me that they have a lot of water in the area he is staying. Because he is near the water supply. He told me that the people near his area do not practice conserving water.
I also sought information from Engr. Pueblo about the water distribution system and asked what would be the best design for the area. He told me that the system would be a combination of the Loop and Dead-end system. The water will be distributed through gravity because the water source has a higher elevation compared to the lowest point of distribution.

Last Friday, I had a talk with the computer engineering students about the techno project that they were doing. The first project that they showed to me was the Keyboard tutorial and Screen reader for the blind. Their app is about helping the blind to be computer literate using hearing. The other team also showed me another helpful app called Checkme. They told me that the app helps the teacher check test paper at the same time record the scores immediately to prevent loss of record and will give more free time for the teachers to do other relevant jobs.
I also asked how they were able to come up with the idea they had. One of them told me that at first, they were just planning to provide an app for translation but it later became an app for the blind. Blind people usually depend on Braille to be able to read but to provide services to the blind by helping them to be computer literate was a really good idea.
The Checkme app was also impressive because checking and recording test papers nowadays are really a burden to teachers. It usually takes a lot of their time to finish their job. But with the new app, teachers can automatically check and record the score of their students leaving the rest of the time for themselves to relax and do other important jobs.

Ideation
Yesterday, I spent the whole day formulating topics for my techno project. I was having a hard time because my ideas either need an application or programming which is not really connected to my course. I did not have much connection here in Cagayan de Oro, so I interviewed some people I knew from my hometown.
I live at MVC, Mt Nebo, Valencia City, Bukidnon. Lilingayon is a neighboring barangay of MVC. Some of my elementary and high school friends live there.  I have visited that barangay many times and I have also seen the present water supply they have. I wondered how can a barangay near a water source lack water for its residents? then I came to realize that the barangay didn't have the proper water distribution system to maximize the available water supply they have.
Barangay Lilingayon has about 8000 residents. But among those residents, only 3949 residents are provided with water. The other areas were not accessible to water due to its geographical features. A friend of mine visited one of the farthest areas in Barangay Lilingayon and he told me that it was difficult to find a comfort room in that area. This is why I came up with an idea of creating a sustainable toilet made of bamboo, where it has a rainwater harvester that can provide water for the customer toilet needs at the same it can be used in watering the crops.

Lilingayon is the largest of the 31 barangays of Valencia City, Bukidnon. It is bounded by Pangantucan in the East, Talakag in the West, Lantapan in the North and Mt. Nebo in the South.
Barangay Lilingayon has a land area of 13,246 hectares. Its major sources of livelihood are farming, laborers (DOLE, MKADC, Purefoods) and business entrepreneur. It has 25 puroks, 1717 households and a population of approximately 8000 residents.
The barangay has progressed through the years and has expanded in number and likewise, the needs of its residents which is water. The barangay has always been dependent to their water source which is capable enough of providing water to the entire barangay but unfortunately, the existing main pipe isn't any longer capable of allowing more water to pass through and the water is not properly distributed for each household and public structures in the barangay.
Figure 1.1 shows the Household and Population in 2018. Most residents that are supplied with water today are situated in the central area which is shown in Figure 1.2. The other puroks were not yet provided with proper water distribution system due to the geographical aspects of the area.
As I have visited this area before, a resident told me that water supply was a problem for them for years and hopefully there would be a solution to their lack of water supply.
If the growth of the residents continues to increase and they don't have proper main pipes then they need a suitable water distribution system for their future needs.
