my blood still stains the wood of a dock on the lakeshore even after a year. a piece of my body, rotted and decaying, weathering under rain and snow and sun and fisherman and their sons and daughters, and friends listening to the waves together, and 300 sunsets and sunrises.

maybe in my next life ill be born pretty or wealthy or stable maybe next time i wont be traumatized without knowing it for the first 25 years of my life maybe next time i wont have dicked around and got serious about my art and acting instead of daydreaming maybe next time ill be intelligent and be able to understand math and hard science maybe next time ill be socially inclined and make friends in school and college and maybe ill know better than to ruin my life and the life of my most loved one at just 23 maybe next time my parents will meet my needs and ill grow up healthy maybe next time i wont have to starve for random periods of time through my life maybe next time i wont be homeless twice before i graduate college maybe next time ill be able to graduate college and go for a masters in something that im passionate about maybe next time ill have the passion and drive and know who i am maybe mext time oll know who i am, myabe next time ill be whole, maybe next time i wont be abandoned,maybe next time i wont ruin my life, maybe next time i wont suffer so much
