As the eldest Madrigal grandchild walks through the beautiful village, she could hear the negative whispers from the community about her beloved.

"Even Señora Alma allows it."

She clenches her fists while putting on her fake smile, angry at how the town she was born and raised in could be so cruel.

Isabela walked up to your door, and knocks.

"¿Mi amor? It’s Isa, will you open the door?" She asks with a genuine smile on her perfect face.

However there was no answer.

The Madrigal became concerned "¿Querida? Are you in there?" She asks as she places her hand on the door handle

What concerned her the most was that the door wasn’t locked.

She enters your humble abode as she starts to look for you.

'Is she even here?' She thought

But then, she heard crying and sniffing coming out of your room.

Isabela walks over to your room and sees an opening on the door, she peeks trough the gap and sees you on your knees in front of your bed hiding your face in the sheets while crying.

She guessed it was those townspeople who always used to pick on you, she was going to give them a sip of their own medicine.

She opens the door fully and you look back to see who came in.

As you saw it was your beloved girlfriend, you went back to covering your face in the sheets.

The eldest Madrigal grandchild kneels down and embraces you, "¿Qué pasó, mi amor?" She asks, she knows it was those who made fun of you, however she wanted to confirm it.

You embraced her as you continued to sob "Ay Isa, it was Lorenzo and Alejandro again! They won’t stop making fun of me, and this time they threw punch on my new outfit you bought for me, I’m so tired of this!" You sobbed as you explained.

And now she absolutely furious, how dare they? That was the last straw.

"Ay hermosa, I am so sorry I wasn’t there. Por favor forgive me." She pleads

You shake your head "No it wasn’t your fault, I should’ve seen this coming."

She kisses your forehead "How about I take you to dinner at Casita and stay for the night? Where no one will whisper anything negative about you while you are around?" She asks as she wipes your tears.

You manage to get a smile on your face "I’d like that, gracias mi vida."

She lifts your hand and pressed her lips on it "Anything for you, mi dulce flor"

Bruno Madrigal

Bruno knew full well of how it was like to be an outcast.

Even when he returned after disappearing there were still people who believed that he was a man who brought bad luck.

He also hears negative whispers about your relationship.

He’ll try his best to comfort you when you break down.

He thinks you are amazing and wonderful 💕💕

Bruno walked towards the grocery store for buying some ingredients for the dinner Julieta was making and as he walked he heard whispers.

"Look, there he is. Bruno the bad omen."

"Is he going to see {Name}? What a waste of time."

"A bad omen and an outcast, what a perfect match."

They started giggling and Bruno has had enough

He walked over to them and they looked at him with wide eyes

"H-how can we help you Señor Bruno?" One of them asks, trying to act innocent.

They nodded and scurried away, afraid he’ll give them bad luck.

"Leave me alone!"

He went towards the direction of the voice and saw you and kneeling on the ground and putting picking up things that was from your purse and put it back

You washed your plate and went back to the table and asked "Is it alright if I take five of the aborrajado? I’ll maybe get hungry in my room."

Abuela replied "Of course {Nickname}, make sure you wash the plate." She brushed off the question of why you wanted so many thinking you liked is so much.

"Of course Abuela!" You smiled brightly.

You grabbed a plate and took three of the delicious aborrajado and walked out of the dining room and went to your room.

You grabbed a basket and set the aborrajado in it one by one. Closing the basket and securing it.

You exited your room and made your way trough the hall, until the bricks on the ground moved up and down.

You looked around and kneeled down and whispered-

"Yes Casita, I’m giving the food to you-know-who. He can’t die out of starvation you know? And plus, it’s too risky for him when he’s trying to get the food himself at night."

You stood up and walked through the hallway before you came across a certain painting.

Now this painting was no ordinary painting, there was something interesting about it.

You gripped the left side of the painting and opened it as if you opened a door.

You entered the unknown place and started to make your way to your destination until you came across a pit.

You let out a breath before you walked backwards and got ready to jump.

You jumped over the pit thankfully and the basket was still safe.

You now stood in front of a door, turning the doorknob you entered a room.

"Tío? Are you here? I got aborrajado’s, they’re still warm!"

There was silence until you heard snoring.

You were faced with the back of a chair where the snoring came from.

You went to see who was snoring and there he was.

The infamous Bruno Madrigal, youngest of the triplets, holder of the gift of seeing the future and said to cause bad luck to all those around him because of all the unlucky prophesies, sleeping.

You set the basket down and started to shake your Tío so that he could wake up from his slumber.

"Tío Bruno, wake up! If you don’t wake up the food is gonna get cold." You shaked him faster.

The man opened his eyes “I did the dishes!" He looked around left and right until he saw you.

"Oh, hey {Name}! How are you doing?" Bruno rubbed his eye, still a bit tired.

You smiled in relief for waking him up "I’m doing pretty well, how about you?"

"Meh, same as usual."

You went to grab the basket "I got aborrajado, five of them to be exact."

Bruno’s eyes sparkled as you gave the basket to him, he reached out for one and took a bite.

"Is it to your liking?" You asked and he nodded and swallowed until he asked-

"You want one?"

"Ah, I could use more of Tía’s cooking"

You reached your hand into the basket and grabbed one for yourself and took a bite.

You both spent rest of the time talking, laughing about what’s going on at each side.

Maybe, just maybe.

They all could see that Bruno was just a misunderstood guy, and that he could come home again.

But it’s no use, it kept going and going.

Days tuned to weeks and weeks tuned to months, the voices still wouldn’t stop.

It was breakfast, you and your "family" were eating. Of course, as usual, Camilo went overboard.

"If you are going to have all that, you better eat all of it." Félix warned his oldest son.

"Yeah yeah, don’t worry pops, I won’t waste a single one." Camilo reassured his father.

You however, were staring at your food.

"{Name}, why aren’t you eating? Is everything alright?" Your foster mom Julieta asked.

"I just- I don’t feel like I belong in this family, out there in the pueblo are so many people that are dreaming to be part of the famous Madrigals, I feel really left out because we don’t share the same blood." You admitted and Mirabel had a look of sympathy.

"{Name}, that’s not true. Sure that people in the community wish that they shared the same blood as us, but you belong in this family. Same blood or not you are still family."

You felt the tears kicking in and you immediately hugged Mirabel, which she gladly returned.

"Isa told us that we should have a girls night in her room, wanna join?" She asked.

"Of course" You felt better already when Mirabel cheered you up.

The Gift Ceremony

Today was the day. The twins aka you and Isabela’s twins were going to get their gifts, today.

You’re daughter Elena and you’re son Diego were going to get their gifts after five long years.

Isabela was very scared about them not getting their gift but was also calm at the same time since just because they don’t get gifts doesn’t mean they will be an outcast in the family like how Mirabel was.

"Mi vida, it’s going to be alright." You tried to comfort your wife but she just kept rambling.

"What if they don’t like their gifts? What if they don’t get their gifts? I don’t want them to feel left ou-" Isabela kept rambling until a voice of two children cut her off.

"Mamá/Mami!" The voices were revealed to be Elena and Diego.

"Just stay calm, I’m sure everything will be just fine." You whispered and reassured your wife.

Diego went to your side and held your arm while Elena did the same with her Mamá.

"Guys, Mirabel says it’s time." Your cousin-in-law Dolores walked up to you four.

"We’ll be waiting at your doors and watch you two get your gifts!" You encouraged your kids and walked away.

Unfortunately Alma passed away out of old age, so she couldn’t see the new generation of the Madrigals getting their gifts.

Alma in trusted Mirabel the candle and declared her as the new holder of the candle.

You and Isabela got to the doors and Mirabel started talking.

"60 years ago, in our darkest moment. This candle blessed us with a miracle. Though we learned that we were more than just our gifts. Even if we had gifts, we still had it hard. Pressure was put on us but that changed 10 years ago. And now we will not have one but two new generations of the Madrigals getting their gifts."

The people of the Encanto started clapping at Mirabel’s speech and the curtains lifted up revealing two nervous Madrigal twins.

Your wife was holding your hand tightened her grip in nervousness and you rubbed her back in comfort.

The twins held each other’s hand and began walking up to their Tía.

Elena was the first to touch the candle and Mirabel asked her if she would use her gift to help the community and of course, Elena nods.

And now it was Diego’s turn to touch the candle and just like his twin sister, he nods as well to help the Encanto with his gift.

They touched their door knob at the same time wondering what their gifts would be..
