Is Shax wearing Crowley's watch? It definitely looks like the Devon Tread 1 that he wore in Season 1 from 1967 onwards.
Does this mean that the watch was given to him by Hell? Or did he (perhaps unintentionally) leave it in the flat when he moved out?

Not to mention that when he's running to Ed in episode 8, he fires the pistol LEFT-HANDED while on the move ... and hits his target.
Also I really like that Stede actually needed no training whatsoever and he was literally right about blacking out and letting his instincts take over.
The punch? The gunshot? When he's not overthinking things my man is competent as hell

Good Omens giveaway - mistysblueboxstuff's/Andrea C White's latest artwork book
Tumblr media
Time for another giveaway!  With the publication of mistysblueboxstuff’s/Andrea C White's Good Omens season 2 artwork books (more pictures here), and having had her prior approval, I’d like to buy some of the books for a few fans.  (The number of books will depend on my bank balance at the time.)
There are two versions of the book: an A4 hard cover and an A5 soft cover.  Depending on the number of people who apply, I'll probably buy mostly the A5 softcover but if I can afford it I might buy a few A4 hardcover copies.
Please note: I’m only giving away the Season 2 book (We Could Have Been Us); I’m not giving away the book of artwork from both seasons (Group of the Two of Us).
I’ll pick some people at random (I’m not going to use any fancy algorithm; it’ll just be a random selection, probably choosing people from different countries) and then will order the appropriate book and have it sent direct to each person.  There are a few provisions around this, so if you’re interested in applying, read the blather under the Keep Reading below.
Deadline for application: midnight (BST) on Thursday 28 September 2023.
To apply for the giveaway, send an email to the following address (which I’m not doing as a hyperlink for obvious reasons): billandteeb at hotmail dot com.
(It’s an old email which I barely ever use, so if it gets spammed to death it doesn’t matter.)
Put “We Could Have Been Us” in the subject line, and give me the following details:
Your Tumblr/general online name and the country to which the book will need to be sent (I don’t need a full address at this point, just the country).
You can check whether Peecho will ship to your country by clicking here, clicking on ‘Continue to Shipping,’ then click on ‘Search country’ and scroll down to see a list of the countries.
I don’t need any further details from you at this point, but if you would only like to be considered for the hard cover or for the soft cover, tell me. It’s up to you if you want to tell me why I should pick you in particular, or generally try to butter me up, but it really will be a random selection!  Though I should mention that in past giveaways, if someone has just put their name and country and not even a ‘thank you,’ they’ve rarely been chosen ...
If you’re one of the chosen recipients, I’ll email you on Friday 29 September to ask for your name and postal address.  If you apply, you might want to keep an eye on your Junk mail in case my email goes there.
I promise to try and email the unsuccessful applicants after the deadline, but if there are more applications than I can cope with, I might have to do a general notice here on Tumblr after I’ve picked the lucky winners.
I also reserve the right to withdraw the offer if my personal circumstances change and I suddenly can’t afford to do this any more.
In the meantime, good luck if you do decide to apply.  NOTE: you must apply by email to billandteeb at hotmail dot com; I won’t take applications over Tumblr’s Personal Message/Ask/Email system.
Love and hugs, Ariane x
Deadline for application: midnight (BST) on Thursday 28 September 2023.

Good Omens: the kiss vs the Nightingale extract

I am dying. The kiss lasts exactly the same length as the extract from Nightingale plays in the Bentley.

Crowley is almost always on the right as we face them, unless Something Is Going On.
Tumblr media
Hmm ...
I remember having an awkward feeling the first time I watched the end credits, but I thought it was just my grief.  But later I thought that their placement looks wrong cinematographically.  Crowley is showing no expression, while Aziraphale’s face is doing a three-act play during those few minutes.  Wouldn’t you put the more animated face on the left?
Hmm ...
Also:
@lonicera-caprifolium : with all your brilliant theorising about what’s going on at the end of the episode, do you think there’s any relevance to the dust over the screen during the credits?  I think it’s meant to be the dust on the Bentley’s windscreen, but why is the Bentley overlaid on the whole screen?

What he actually said was, "Sounds like a continuity error to me, I'm afraid."  'Sounds like,' not 'is.'  It's not like him to be vague. I think he would have been more definite if he knew that it truly was a continuity error.
I’m still keenly holding to @lonicera-caprifolium’s (and others’ (including my)) theories which include the clock issue.  And we know that Dad lies/is vague when it suits him.
That said, when I’m on leave from work next week, I’m going to be re-watching Season 2 a lot and trying to remember to always look at the time on the clock to see if there’s another scene where the clock shows 9:40.  If there is, I shall be peeved!
Neil Gaiman said in a recent ask that the clock is an continuity error. Sorry.

UPDATE: I've since seen advice that you don't need to come out of the episodes provided that, on each run, you occasionally pause an episode, or rewind a bit. As long as it looks like you're interacting during each run, you won't look like a bot.
(I guess it's possible that you could even commit the ultimate sin of hitting the Skip Intro button, but I think that's a step too far!)
Don't just run GO2 repeatedly on Amazon - it might not be counted
Tumblr media
I've read that if you just keep running Good Omens season 2, and also if you have it muted, Amazon won't count the repeated runs.
After a while, it will assume you're a bot and won't count it as a run.
To make your re-runs count, you need to come out of the run every couple of episodes and play something else on Amazon, maybe a whole episode of another series, or a film. After that, go back to where you left off with Good Omens and continue the run from where you left off.
Don't use the mute option or the volume bar on Amazon to keep the volume off. Drop the volume to very low, or mute your own speakers instead.
I read this on Facebook and it may not be accurate, but I reckon it's worth bearing in mind if we want every run of season 2 to count.

Dammit, @lonicera-caprifolium, I need to marry your brain. This is *brilliant*! And surely someone on the crew would have checked that the clock read the right time whenever they re-set the scene (I somehow doubt they filmed all that in one go, or even in one day).
Someone in the Notes to this epic post helped me reconcile the reason why 'Aziraphale' appears so moved after the kiss (the lip touch). Maybe at the end of the conversation during the frozen time, and once they'd swapped bodies, Crowley said, "We'll have to kiss again before I unfreeze time," and, instead of being awkward about it, Aziraphale promptly grabbed him and planted an epic lip-lock on him, far better than Crowley could ever have hoped for.
It could also explain why 'Aziraphale' is flailing at 'Crowley''s back at the end of the kiss, desperately wanting to hold him closer but knowing that he can't.
Okay, so!!!! This post will have spoilers for the very end of Good Omens season 2, but I have a theory about that ending and I'll explain--
Something was bothering me, so I just went back and watched the ending like actually 30 times and I am fully 99.999999% certain they switched places
As they're pulling away after the kiss, they lock eyes and Aziraphale's expression shifts in the teeniest tiniest way, like a confirmation glance, before they shift back (and Michael Sheen is a master, so no chance it's not on purpose)
(Like really, go back and watch how Aziraphale's expression shifts literally *a second* before "I forgive you" cuz the change is SO minute, but entirely different emotionally.)
Aziraphale's hands -stay by his sides- after that, he doesn't clasp them at all, and it's particularly noticeable while he's walking to the elevator with Metatron.
The Bentley only ever plays other music for Aziraphale, but also Crowley drives away slowly, but ALSO Crowley's collar is fully turned down but you -can- see bits of the red underside in several scenes (particularly before he changes in heaven), but you don't see it -at all- after the kiss
And Aziraphale's face IS weird in the elevator like everyone says, BUT. after going back and watching both, I'm pretty darn sure that's cuz it's Michael Sheen's Crowley, it's the SAME as during Aziraphale's trial in season 1.
This also explains why they're on opposite sides than they're usually shown while the end credits roll.

'Jim' can't do magic.
So he must have found that coat in the bookshop.
Aziraphale, you utter tart, where did you get that coat, and why?
(And has Crowley ever seen him in it, and how did he manage not to discorporate on the spot?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's been so much going on and I haven't seen a single person talking about Gabriel's coat.

Oh, gods, I'm going to be up all night with these brilliant theories! And I just realised that they can actually tie in with the Coffee Theory ...
If the Metatron really did do something to the coffee, Crowley might have tasted it on Aziraphale’s lips when he kissed him. That's when he stopped time and they talked about it, Aziraphale realised that Heaven was still up to its old tricks, and they came up with the swap. Though I still can't work out the full reason for it.
It also dawned on me that Michael Sheen must have been told to act a bit Crowley in the scenes after the kiss. The poor sod, and presumably David too, have now got to sit on that secret for the next few years!

And I just remembered that Neil was asked here on Tumblr whether there are any clues to season 3 in the season 2 titles, to which he replied yes.
But we all know what a sneaky bugger he is. The question was probably referring to the opening titles, but what if Neil's answer refers to the episode 6 *closing* titles, and specifically @lonicera-caprifolium's realisation that Crowley on the left and Aziraphale on the right is Just Not Normal?

I have fallen more and more in love with this theory, but ...
I couldn’t work out how it happened without Crowley forcing the swap on Aziraphale, in which case the rest of that scene didn't make sense. Then I remembered.
Crowley can stop time.
I'm thinking that he kissed Aziraphale, then stopped time and explained his plan (whatever it is) before they swapped and carried on as we see in the episode, faking the break-up in case Heaven is watching. If Lonicera's theory is right, we'll probably see my additional theory in flashback in S3.
I also noticed that when Crowley (Aziraphale?) gets into the Bentley and closes the door, the doorframe briefly seems to be yellow, although that could be a reflection of someone's coat as they pass by.
It would make so much sense for Crowley to go to Heaven in Aziraphale’s place. As a Throne, Dominion or higher, he can protect himself better if it all goes pear-shaped.
Oh, I really hope this theory is right. For the first time, I'm really excited for season 3. I was worried that the two of them would be separated for a large portion of the season; now I'm more hopeful that they'll be reunited earlier.
