me hyperfixating on arcane and my brother hyperfixating on league of legends (he hates the game) makes for a great duo. my neurotypical siblings do not see the appeal of staying up late every single night talking about it all and they are missing out also i'll start writing again at some point basically i stopped taking my adhd meds

hello!! I haven't seen any toh fics so I was wondering if you could do a fic with Luz viewing the reader (who is a year older) as an older sibling, reader refuses to accept the title but one day accidentally refers to Luz as her sister and I'll leave the rest up to you :b
adjustment
set during season one, just a little bit after the episode lost in language. sorry it's so short and rushed, i really did love this request<3 as always i am completely okay with redoing it if you would like me to!
pairings: luz + older sibling!reader, king + older sibling!reader, eda + child!reader
summary: the new human has replaced your spot in the eyes of your family, yet maybe she's a little more tolerable than you initially cut her out to be.
word count: 900
---
Jealousy was an understatement. Eda had been spending all her time with the new human ever since she brought her back from the other realm, and even King and Hooty seemed to prefer her. It was stupid. Eda claimed you no longer needed her assistance as you were a fast learning witch, which you should’ve easily taken as a compliment- and usually you would! However, when it felt as if she was replacing you with someone who didn’t even have a bile sac, it hurt more than anything.
It's not like you could go to your best friends, Edric and Emira, about it, either. Over the years you'd learned that they had no concept of when it was an inappropriate time to crack a joke, and King would most certainly side with Luz and call you what you were: jealous. Hooty was out of the question. You knew you should give Luz a chance, she was a nice girl, after all, and you knew she was basically your sister as much as King was your brother, yet admitting it was easier said than done.
The bell rung (rung?) in Hexside to signify the end of the day, and as always, you waited for Luz outside the gates before heading home. It's not that you hated her - far from it, actually. She was an incredible person. But you resented her. Resented her for stealing your family, the only ones you had known your whole life, and resented her for even stealing your best friends, for the twins had now been sizing her up after the incident in the library with Amity. It made you feel terrible.
So when Luz came running up to you, gushing about her day and the new student she somehow managed to win over, you faked a smile and told her how happy you were for her. Why was it so easy for her to be liked? Why couldn’t you be like that, why couldn’t you make everyone as happy as she made them?
“So I told him that I have no siblings back in the human world, but here I have two! One’s a demon, but he’s the perfect little brother, and the other is a super cool witch and the best older sibling in the Boiling Isles!” You couldn’t help but feel a slight tug in your heartstrings as you began to walk back to the Owl House side by side, listening to Luz continue, feeling your lips morph into more and more of a smile as the time went by. By the time you’d returned home, you were fighting back the tears that threatened to spill, and this time they weren’t tears of envy or bitterness, no, they were tears of an older sibling who was so proud of who their little sister was becoming.
Luz ran off into her room as you sat on the sofa beside your adoptive mother, greeting her as usual. “Well, Y/n, if I’m being honest, that’s certainly the nicest I’ve seen you act towards Luz.” Eda casually admitted, chuckling as your brows furrowed.
“What do you mean? I’m always nice to her!” You retorted.
“I know, I know. But I know you’re not, let’s say, her biggest fan; I see the faces you pull whenever she does something better than you.” She reasoned, checking out her nails as she spoke.
“Gee, thanks.”
“You know I’m right.”
You sighed and leaned back. “Yeah, I know… I guess she’s grown on me recently. She’s just like my little sister, I’m-” but you were interrupted from a loud sniff coming from the door. There stood the little sister in question, eyes brimming with tears as she stared at you, your face heating up quicker than King runs when food is mentioned.
“Oh my gosh!” Luz flapped her hands and hopped from one foot to the other for a few seconds, before running across the room and throwing herself beside you, barely leaving a second before enveloping you in a hug. “You said it back! You said it back! We’re siblings!”
Tears began to fall from both your eyes, and you swore you could see Eda’s face become slightly emotional at the scene before her. Her children were finally accepting each other. “Yeah, of course we are. I’m sorry I ever made you feel as if you couldn’t believe that.” you apologised, pulling away from the hug to look her in the eyes to show you were being sincere. She chuckled slightly as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
“It’s alright, I know I kind of barged in here with no warning. That must have taken a lot of getting used to.” Luz sympathised.
“Oh, it did.” you giggled and she joined in, turning to Eda who was smiling uncontrollably. “You okay there?” the older witch simply nodded, flicking her wrist a couple of times to urge you to continue.
Usually, slip ups would cost you. There had been countless times when you’d said something wrong, or done something dumb and the next thing you knew you were losing friends or even being kicked out of your house, looking after yourself alone in Bonesborough. But now you could finally say you had a family - a loving family - and Luz was most certainly a part of that. Your little sister would never leave your side, and you would never leave hers.

Requesting some hcs for being Sevika’s teen kid? (Found family trope)
you say headcanons and i turn up with a whole ass fic
pairing: sevika + child!reader
summary: how sevika ended up with a kid
(cw; mentions of violence & alcohol)
---
- you were a little younger than jinx, and nobody knew a single thing about you. one day you seemingly appeared in zaun from god knows where, yet you were sneaky and an excellent criminal, learning how to fend for yourself through a life of crime. - everyone recognised you, yet no one cared enough to actually call you out for the trouble you'd caused. shimmer was everyone's priority. besides, your line of crimes rarely strayed outside of petty theft and such. - sevika noticed how you would hang around the last drop more and more frequently over time. you'd just be there, not talking to anyone or looking for anything. you just stood alone. - of course this piqued her curiosity, but she found herself with no real reason to approach you - she knew there was no point in it, anyways. she knew her job, and she knew better than to care too much about a teenager who's name she didn't even know. - things carried on as they always did, sevika spending time both in the bar and around zaun, tending to whatever job silco needed doing, yet always keeping an eye on you. - you'd begun to get into small arguments with the strongest men in the undercity about how you'd stolen their limited cash or something, which she found entertaining, admittedly. - this didn't last long, though, as things began to quickly escalate and become violent. - sevika was quick to step in the moment he landed a punch on your cheek, taking not even a second to give him what he deserved: the beating of a lifetime. - you simply watched in awe as she spat in his face, half impressed that someone would help you yet also angry that you didn't even get the chance to defend yourself and prove your strength. - "come on, kid." she said quietly, guiding you into the back of the building. - she checked you over for any lasting damage, of which there was none, then bluntly asked you what the hell even happened. you explained the situation while she nodded slowly, and your explanation then lead on to how you ended up in the lanes and looking after yourself. - sevika thought for a minute, before finally telling you to stick with her for the time being. you were shocked to say the least and as time went on made sure not to overstay your welcome, but as stakes increased so did your bond with sevika, the woman who grew to become your mother figure.
- it goes without saying that most of your time was spent in the last drop. although sevika made her hatred for the blue haired girl who lived their quite apparent and did all she could to keep you away from her, you found your friendship with jinx growing and you two did all you could to see each other regularly. - she became your best friend and you did everything together, much to your mother's dismay, yet she refrained from doing anything about it as she understood how happy jinx made you, no matter how much she just didn't understand. - you also ended up making quite the impression on silco and his goons, he even admitted himself when he didn't know you were up in the rafters with jinx that you had grown on him a considerable amount since sevika first took you under her wing. - she definitely taught you how to fight properly, and taught you to be on your guard if you were to ever see a pink haired girl once vi returned. - sparring matches with sevika were common, and although she tried her best to keep it harmless, she did injure you on a few occasions, but you were strong, and got back up almost immediately. - that was definitely her influence, and she was so, so proud of the person you started to mould into. - of course she would never admit it to your face, but sevika really did love you as if you were her own child, and once even slipped up and called you her child. nobody left her alone about it for weeks. - she made sure you knew you always had a safe space around her, even if she was the last person you'd expect to be saying that. she truly was a kind person once you got to know her, albeit a bit brash and violent, even around you. - no mercy when it comes to beating people up if they even dare lay a finger on you, much like when she first met you. - bargained with silco until he believed that you were strong enough to go on missions under her guidance, and you made sure to never prove that you weren't ready. - once you even found yourself in a sticky situation with the firelights, and sevika had never been prouder when she saw how resourceful you were being, using every alternative before violence. - she'd make sure to support you no matter what you went on to do as you got older, even if she highly disapproved of it. - the most honest person in your life; will absolutely tell you if she disagrees with what you're doing but she will not stop you either. - overall, i think sevika would make a surprisingly good mother. the love would have to come from a place of loss or the sense of something missing, yet there would be times where her guard would drop and you'd hear how much you mean to her. - usually this would come only under the circumstances involving a heavy drink (which she absolutely let you have, too), but it meant the world to you when you heard it. - by no means is she perfect, but when you're living in the lanes a guardian like that is all you really need.

if you went with vi
"stop it, vi." you said once she'd knocked powder down. she took one glance towards you and ran, so you followed, telling powder you'll come back for her.
powder's screams ripped right through you; it was horrible to hear, yet you still stayed close behind violet who was very quickly storming away from the situation, and you kept in mind the pain and grief the two of you had endured not even twenty minutes ago.
"vi- vi! listen to me." you grabbed her and spoke firmly, ignoring the tears welling up in both your eyes.
though as you began to comfort her and knock some sense into her, an enforcer grabbed her and another grabbed you. you locked eyes in fear, trying your best to grab onto her hand, yet the two grown men carrying you were stronger alone than the both of you were combined.
shortly after you were knocked out clean, and however long later you awoke on a ship, vi nowhere in sight. someone had left you unconscious in a dirty, wooden cell beneath the deck, and the only reasons you could tell you were on a ship were the strong salty air and the violent rocking back and forth across the seas.
you were tired. assuming your sister was far, far away from you now, you succumbed to your fate of certain death and accepted that soon you would be reunited with your father and brothers (and probably little sister, too).
after several hours... days? you were being dragged out of the ship, your lack of basic necessities finally starting to show, and you were greeted by the horrific sight of a tall, terrifying building: still water prison. the place you'd been told about, where not even the worst criminals of zaun wanted to end up. you felt sick.
they admitted you in, and you didn't put up a fight, which was considerably unlike you. even when they lead you deep underground and pushed you into solitary confinement, you let it happen. it's not like you would last much longer, right?
the enforcers who worked there finally let you up to eat lunch with the other prisoners a good few days into your time in still water, and needless to say, you were starving. though, admittedly, you were hugely put off your food by the sight of the most notorious criminals in runeterra, a couple of whom you even recognised from the wanted posters you'd seen in your solo trips up to piltover.
you could've sworn your heart dropped as you queued up to receive your plate of slop and saw the all too familiar sight of muscle, freckles, and pink hair.
"y/n!" vi exclaimed the moment she saw you, trying to keep her voice as low as possible. in any other situation, you two would've undoubtedly ran to each other for a hug after being apart for over a week, but it was far too risky in an environment like this.
from then on you made a pact to always be at one another's side and to find powder as soon as you were released, and god knows when that would be, yet the hope of the future was the only thing to keep you going for the next six years, vi never letting you out of her sight and you never letting her out of yours.
the both of you, over time, learned how to fend for yourselves, and felt yourselves growing stronger and stronger by the day, preparing for the second you would be let back out into the real world, yet terrified of what the lanes would've become without vander.
sticking with each other through the breakdowns and hysteria, you just about got through your time at still water (physically) unscathed, forever indebted to caitlyn for trusting you enough to get you out of that hellscape.
if you stayed with powder
"stop it, vi." you said once she'd knocked powder down. the young girl stared up between the both of you, unsure of what to do or say.
vi stormed off yet you refused to go after her, instead opting to cradle powder in your arms as she screamed and cried in a futile attempt to bring back her sister.
you were crying, too, yet you tried not to let it show, even as silco and his goons appeared behind you. attempts to pull powder away from him were made yet proved to be fruitless, as she threw himself into his arms and you looked at him with such anger yet such genuine pain, that he must've felt some sort of sympathy.
silco stood you both up and you took powder's hand in a tight grip, squeezing it for your own reassurance. thoughts of vi and the others circled your mind yet you tried to ignore them, knowing it was far, far too late to even try sorting anything out.
he asked you where you lived and where vander's possessions would be, and after a few minutes of bargaining you finally realised how much you didn't have to lose, muttering out "the last drop" as quietly as you could whilst powder hid her face in your side.
while he sent his goons - ran and dustin - to get any form of medical attention for his injured lackeys, he took both you and powder back to your home. you assumed he was going to steal from vander, take all of his most valued pieces and run, yet he didn't. silco simply looked. he looked, and he admired. but he didn't touch.
it was years later that he told you he didn't feel the need to steal, as he had already found vander's most precious gems; you and jinx.
the man managed to warp even your mind into believing that powder was gone and that her remnants made up jinx. over time, the last drop became a booming business once again yet living there was like nothing you'd ever remembered.
being jinx's older sister came with a lot of responsibilities. along with silco, you were the only person she truly felt safe around, and more often than not you would be the one to bring her down from her episodes. you loved her to the moon and back, yet you always found a place in you to resent her for what she'd done to your family.
however, silco was often too busy to even speak to the two of you, and although he often spoke highly of you, that didn't mean he knew everything that you got up to. you and jinx would often venture up into piltover to wreak havoc and scare people for the sheer fun of it, yet you also knew that you were always on the lookout for vi. it was like a silent truce between you.
cue absolutely torturing caitlyn
sevika much preferred you to jinx, yet neither of you liked the other at all.
spending so many years with jinx and silco didn't do you many favours once vi suddenly reappeared. you wanted so, so badly to trust her like you used to, to love her again, yet you'd promised you'd stick by jinx and she clearly was not dealing well with the situation.
you assisted jinx in all her endeavours against vi and the stupid enforcer girl.
tensions began to rise when silco died. finally, the pattern of jinx killing all of your family - accidentally or not - was beginning to take its toll on you, and perhaps this is the push you needed to get you out of the toxic environment you'd become so comfortable around.
