why are people always comparing working class men to rich women? do working class women not excist?

true it doesn't seem like a particularly useful comparison. and working class men certainly do NOT have solidarity with working class women, so why should we have solidarity with them? especially over other women. the closest thing to an "ultra rich radfem" I know of would be JKR, and she's not even actually a radfem afaik & puts her money where her mouth is all the time for women, I def feel more solidarity with her than working class men who don't give a shit about me and are more than happy to get paid more than me for the same job, to take a job opportunity that I'm more qualified for from me, etc.

i’m a wealthy radfem because of generational wealth. having money makes life easier as a woman. the trade-off is being under the thumb of male family members.

but yeah, the crux of it - and why it is a feminist issue first and foremost - is that if the men in your family were abusing you, using that money to manipulate you, etc., what fallback do you have? if the men in your family decided one day to cut you off from their wealth, for any reason at all, where do you stand? idk you or your situation - and this is also on anon, of course - but MOST women in your situation DON'T have a good income on their own or strong social support with resources to fall back on.

the vast majority of "wealthy" women are only "wealthy" as far as the wills and whims of the men in their lives allow. and that is extremely dangerous. that is a feminist issue - and would be even if it wasn't dangerous!!! importantly!!

It’s telling as fuck that so many people (from all political bents!!!) will see trans men talk about how being a man is isolating and people see you as inherently criminal and predatory and will respond with some flavor of “should have thought about that before you decided to be a man” instead of recognizing that being a man in our society is isolating and demonized to the point that trans men have emotional breakdowns because living in the body that makes them happiest also means that people will see you as a monster because they assumed you had a dick and trans men haven’t been conditioned to accept it when it’s finally angled at them when they start HRT and start to pass.

Honestly, when people started confusing “gender” with “sex” it was embarrassing enough, but now that people are confusing gender with “personality” it’s just pathetic.

It’s really a tragedy that most people get their education on what sex acts to perform and how to perform it based on porn. Positions and sex acts in porn aren’t chosen based on how they feel, but how they look like for a camera and what the majority male audience wants to see (which includes violence and pain btw).

People pay lip service to knowing “It’s not realistic” yet, to the best of their ability, a vast majority of those people are mimicking the acts and positions they see in porn.

How many acts and positions that have their origins in a certain camera framing or a trending director’s choice have integrated themselves as “standard”’sex in people’s imaginations? If people focused on pleasant sensation only in their sex- it would probably look radically different from what most people reach for.
