Bringer is an interactive fiction story.
A chance meeting with a mysterious woman leaves you with a dead body and powers beyond your comprehension. You are now the Bringer of Light- you can help the supernatural beings of your town cross over into the afterlife.
Some are not so quick to call this a gift. They call you the Bringer of Ends and believe you should not have control over death. They seek to destroy you.
Will you use your power for good or evil? Will you use it at all?

I'm alright! Just have a lot to juggle right now, and not a lot of time for hobbies unfortunately bUT I just started to do a tiny bit of writing yesterday so there is hope!
Sadly, no idea. I thought I'd be able to keep up with some writing goals but between full-time grad school, an assistantship, and an internship there's not a lot of time for other goals-- I have about 500 words of Chapter 5 written, so there is a little sprout to water and I'm hopeful to get back to it really soon, but I can't promise anything

I would say none of the relationships are particularly fast; you have the option to ask to kiss each of the ROs in chapter 4 but unfortunately that simply can't happen that easily for poor MC...
That being said, the one that will hold off the longest on acting on any feelings will be Amber, so she's she slowest of the burns

The Northern Passage has been updated!
01.10.23: The first part of chapter 2 is now available to play over on itch.io. This includes the Blackwater route only. To access the new content, ensure that you choose to stay in Blackwater rather than leave for Highfell. Saves should work - though I advise you to still keep a save at the end of chapter 1, since any later updates to chapter 2 will require you to play from the start of the chapter again.
Along with the new content, various edits include:
The companions will now introduce themselves with their pronouns, as well as various other characters - Branwen, Mal, Hawkell, etc.
Edited the input process for hunters that use no pronouns. This should help clean up any clunky sentences where the companions talk to/about the hunter as well as allow for the hunter to properly introduce themself with just their name.
A new codex entry on Magic.
Alchemists can now choose to have hand tattoos (though the continuity for this has yet to be fixed).
New content warnings include animal death. This is only in one path, and it is avoidable, relying entirely on the player choosing whether it happens or not.

.....literally finishing a project!!! I get so excited and then I burn out. I'm really making an effort to finish at least these 2 IFs, and having a readership to keep me accountable certainly helps!!

Hmmmm well I've buried one alive (she got out again), which feels like the worst thing to me...

I have written fanfic for Wicked (the book, specifically) [and for PLL, Person of Interest, and Doctor Who, but those aren't books] and honestly I wouldn't be opposed to writing more, but usually for whatever reason I'm more inclined to fanfic based on tv shows, even though I do absolutely love and am inspired by many books.

The maker of the androids has passed away, and they are left with the choice to learn to keep the magic going, let themselves die out, mourn the Maker or curse him...

To be honest, the where doesn't matter so much to me- I just have to be in the Mood, and be in a quiet, p much silent space! I can write outdoors, in my room, at work (shh), wherever, just as long as I have an idea and some quietness.

5 Things You Never Get Tired of Writing
Paranoia - There's just something about twisting people's everyday perceptions against them, idk... you've walked these streets 100 times but this time, this time you just know you're being watched. It's fun to take simple things and imagine how the brain can warp them.
Thinking vs. Verbalizing - There are two ways this can go- 1, a character thinks something complex or profound and all they can manage to communicate is a shrug. The readers know their feelings but the world around the character will never know. 2, 'I hate the Teletubbies' she thought. "I hate the Teletubbies," she said. AKA they think it, they say it. Always funny.
Silly Metaphors/Similes - Douglas Adams, my beloved. "The ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't." I mean, how can you get better than that. I love taking something and comparing it to something that shouldn't be analogous but just is somehow.
Queer Love - I am what the kids call... not straight. I love to explore and create worlds where queer love is celebrated and never questioned, where fantastic or tragic or joyous or just neutral things happen to queer characters and their love and character and personhood is never called into question.
Found Family - This was @theovertaken 's fifth point, and I'm leaving it here. Found family can be anything and anyone, and the choice is the point. I love writing dynamics of established friendship, mind-reading closeness, reluctant-to-join-the-group-but-would-die-for-them, and anything in between. Gimme gimme.
