LOVING LOUDLY by ©️Blaqhomme
“For black and brown queer men, loving out loud is a beautiful and touching sight to behold. It can also be frightening and even dangerous. To love is to be courageous bc love and courage are synonymous. The strength that it takes to be black/brown, same gender loving men is an act of bravery in a world where such love is all too often ostracized, coupled with toxic narratives that can abate such relationships. There’s an inner courage that gay black and brown men convey, when loving loudly, that’s beyond the comprehension of many to understand. Yet doing so should be no more misunderstood than being heterosexual and having the freedom to BE in their own skin. How deluded society allows itself to be by assuming and for some, deeply upholding dangerous domestications about gay/queer love. Love is love but it’s only fully understood by those who live and experience this love daily. To be restrained in any way from being able to love openly can become a detriment to ones soul, mind and existence. For what is love if it isn’t freed to be what it is? Love is open, visible, courageous and freeing. The human heart wasn’t created to repress love and its connecting energies. Loving out loud is bravery that is robust and enchanting. It is only harmful to those in love when those devoid of love become enraged by the visual of such expression. Letting oneself go, in order to experience love takes a great amount of immense courage and the knowing of oneself to do so. Loving loudly is love, because love actually doesn’t function without courage. Love cannot be repressed for too long before it begins to adversely affect ones ability to evolve, grown and expand inwardly, then outwardly.” ©️Blaqhomme 👊🏽
