I feel bad for people in bands who have falling outs bc imagine that one horrific coworker you have and then you quit the job and you’re so relieved to never have to work with them again. But then imagine that for the rest of your life the public never stops haranguing you to get back with that coworker and do one last report/audit/case/equivalent whatever just for old times sake. And you’re like wtf no I hate that guy. Want to check out my cool new job though? And everyone’s like no please make amends with that guy you hate from your old job. And it never lets up until one of you dies
all of this racism during march madness towards the athletes is really something. like yes when you go to play a team in bumfuck nowhere there's a bit or racism to be expected (unfortunately). but getting accosted on the street? and asking why so many black and brown people were spotted at your airport!?? the right has really lost the plot, if they had it to begin with
Fucked up how society can be like "okay, go to school" for 12-17 years and then be like "okay enough to that :)". Leads to really dangerous sad fucked up disease called Grad Student. Can progress even more dangerous into PhD Student. Very comorbid with Debt due to Costs Money and Doesn't Make Money. Very scary, these things.
one of my favorite pieces of art is a Richard Serra. the way his work is interactive and embedded into space is something to me, unlike any other. i think seeing that piece for the first time was when i truly began to realize how boundless art as a medium could be. being able to share physical space, walk among, around and below his work is truly something special. i hate to only commemorate artists in death. but Serra was and will forever be a generational talent, he will be missed
