Reggie’s species was inspired by Xenomorphs design-wise, but they’re very different; really the main similarities are armored bodies and eyeless faces.
The species can see via specialized color-detection cells on their helmets, and have claws suitable for burrowing; as well as significant strength.
Reggie originally had a more basic hologram (disguise) projection watch during her first appearance, but a heart-shaped one seemed more appropriate.

I forgot to add the machine in Jesse’s arms on the the middle right panel , but I like how this page turned out because it’s fun drawing Earl and the panel on the middle left was entertaining, Larry’s gestures are some of the most over-the-top in the comic.

Managing to cut 50 lines of dialogue from around 20 pages to 5 pages has been a challenge, but doing so will helpfully help the plot along more quickly, and we can get to stuff that starts to better explain what’s going on -- although nothing so far hasn’t had a purpose either story or development wise, so we may be re-addressing things.
