Looking at earlier concept art for Alien Force, you can really tell they were trying to stick with the original series' design philosophy of "These are aliens first and foremost, and could be mistaken as superheroes second."

Slowly working on my Ben 10 alien designs and oh my god stinkfly broke me so I'm posting what I have started to work on for now
Further explanation below:
Grey Matter: Very fun to draw but just based on frogs in my brain, I honestly could not settle for a single design except maybe the bottom two on the second row.
Heat Blast: I like to think that Pyronites can have much more diverse faces and it's something that's easily changed throughout their lives since how high energy they are, they can kinda just mold a new face from the non-plasma material of their body. Also the gaps in Heat Blasts face reminded of horns and thus why parts of some designs are pointer.
XLR8: My beloved weirdo alien. 100% believe they both possess an endo and exo skeleton. I think the mask covering that comes down is similar to the way insect wings fold out except now as a covering of sorts. Here are some ideas as to how the covering could look too:
Four Arms: No thoughts, only punch
Wild Mutt: As someone who loves drawing furries and designing speculative biology/aliens, this guy hits so many fun marks. I know they use their smell to sense the environment around them but also hear me out, extremely specialized organs within their gills? nostrils? that function as a more specialized version of the 'whiskers' on their body that acts like sonar for them. Instead of just smell, they act as magnetic and electric sensors and basically is just a really cool external lateral line except terrestrial.
