Take Your Fandom to Work Day
What is Take Your Fandom to Work Day?
It’s a challenge where you really get to write what you know - whatever you do in real life, it’s time to dump your favorite characters into your workplace.
Think about what you do for a living, pick any fandom - put them together and go forth and write! (Or draw, if you’d rather.)
Do I have to sign up?
Nope! Everyone is welcome to jump in and participate at any time.
Is there a deadline?
All works published by May 14, 2016 will be added to a Masterlist for 2016. You’re free to continue after that, but a new list with new works won’t be added until next year.
How do I make sure I’m included in the list?
Tag your post on tumblr with #fandomworkday2016, send a message to this blog with a link, or post on AO3 with the Take Your Fandom to Work Day tag.
I’m a full time student and I don’t think the world needs more high school or college AUs, can I still participate?
Feel free to use your summer or part time job, your internship, or your favorite extracurricular. Or, just write about what it’s like for your characters to be in your major or at your school, specifically. Teach us something about what your life is like!

Evening Shore Stroll
The annual family trip to Undella Town had gone off without a hitch this year. Though Bianca always enjoyed herself every year, it was the first summer where both of her parents were able to relax. Previous summers were different for each parent, be it job-related stress or urgent family matters that cut the vacations short.
Two Stoutland happily pranced along the shore of the beach, each taking turns to chase after the water and running away from the incoming wave. Thankfully the beach wasn’t crowded with other patrons, as the two dogs often had trouble holding any regard for others when they were having this much fun. Bianca followed behind them, attempting to keep up with their pace, only whistling at them when they were venturing too far out and getting excited over a flock of Wingull.
“Stay with me, you two. Dad’ll kill me if you get lost, you know.” She commanded to her companions, though mostly directed to the bigger Stoutland.

What do you think of your mun’s style?
Clothing style? Well, she seems to have a good sense of style when she puts forth the effort, especially during the winter time. I can’t even be bothered to put on a nice sweater on most cold days.
What do you think about your mun’s music?
I can only make out a few phrases and words, but it’s incredibly catchy at times. She tends to listen to a lot of soft background music too. It’s great for studying!
What do you think about your mun’s favorite TV show?
I honestly wonder how Steven Stone feels about the show, actually. A main character with his first name fighting alongside personified gems. I bet he’d really get into it.

Alder clearly wasn't one for showy packages. The bag on Bianca's desk was fairly nondescript and hardly celebratory: just a tan canvas shopping bag with the logo of a Hoenn bakery stamped in brown. The tag was a bit of cardboard cut from a bakery box. "To Bindy," it read. Inside, however, was an orange and white batik scarf, and, wrapped within its folds, five hand-carved figures: a tepig, a lillipup, a munna, a litwick, and a drifloon, bits of button-weight thread looping its hands to its body.
The package on her desk was a nice surprise to see after coming back home from her yearly family trip to Undella Town. For a moment, she had thought it was a work related item she had ordered previously, until she glanced at a tag. With a chuckle and a shake off her head, she knew exactly who it was from and that there was no real need for an occasion for Alder to give out gifts.And so, she carefully pulled the garment from the bag, inspecting the beautiful scarf with all of its details. A bright pink color flushed her cheeks upon seeing the decorations. How cute!"I'll have to thank him next time I visit Flocessy Town." Bianca beamed while trying on the scarf and presenting herself in front of her full mirror.
