Thank you for the clarification and correction I really appreciate it! This is something that definitely needs to be discussed and involved more in the Batman and Batman affiliated comics.
Things I think of regularly
- Damian is half Middle Eastern/Arab?? I feel like a vast majority of the fandom (specifically the ◻️ population 😐) chooses to forget this and write it out of headcanons and fanfics not to mention the white washing…
- Middle Eastern culture specifically the food is something I know Damian holds on to dearly (which is canon) and I think he introduces his brothers and sisters/ others to it.
- Same goes w Dick, who basically had his whole ethnic cultural background erased 💀 he’s ethnically half Romani and I think that should be talked about more. And if u know anything about history you know why it’s problematic to erase this part of his character
- Cass and Duke as well for extremely obvious reason
- I just think it’s incredibly important to recognize the cultural differences of the POC and marginalized groups in the DC universe because let’s be honest if it weren’t for them would people still be that interested in a white man part of the 1% running around “fighting crime”
- Damian, Duke, and Cass calling Bruce a colonizer is honestly the funniest thing to me
I’ve said a lot of this stuff before but I think some people ( *cough* ◻️ Americans) still need to be reminded of it frequently.
EDIT: these are not things I’m going to debate ESPECIALLY with nonPOC. You have some nasty racist shit to say? You’re getting blocked.
EDIT 2: several wonderful people raised the question about Bruce and his possibly Jewish ethnicity. From my understanding (which means I am 100% open to correction and redirection), Kate Kanes mother was Jewish not her father who is the brother of Martha Wayne. So even if Kates father converted like I’ve seen through research Bruce is not ethnically Jewish(nor is he practicing).
BUT that doesn’t mean we can’t mention some very important DC characters that are firmly canonly Jewish. Both Hal Jordan and Harley Quinn are Jewish and there is intentional erasure of their cultural/religious identities as well throughout the DC fandom and comics which if u didn’t know is absolutely anti-semitism.

- walks into Damian’s room without knocking and just makes himself at home
-turns off Tim’s iPad while he’s doing something
- the cool older brother lectures that Dick can’t pull off.
- “if I ever catch any of you smoking I’m going tie you to the back of the bat plane and take off. Now get in the car we’re getting milkshakes”
- body slams his younger brothers. Which seems like innocent fun but remember hes like 200 lbs of muscle so it always gets him yelled at by Alfred, Bruce and Dick
- crashes Tim’s dates
- set up a double date FOR Tim and Kon and Damian and Jon
- Damian went screaming and crying to Bruce that Jason was interfering in his personal life
- Bruce made them go with Jason as a chaperone
- Damian and Tim wanted to die

- Cass and Duke driving thru Starbucks talking SHIT about Tim after he drank the last of the coffee and didnt buy more
- Steph and Babs going nuts with Bruce’s credit card and making Dick carry things. He’s just happy to be included but he’s not allowed to talk
- Damian going though all of Tim’s stuff when he’s not home
Tim: I’m going to Walgreen what do you want
Damian after being grounded: a new fucking family
Tim: I’ve got $12
Damian: gummy worms
- the tattling in that household would be absolutely insane
- “Bruce Jason lost my AirPods!!” “No I fucking didn’t!”
- Jason and Tim have screaming matches then go out for milkshakes
- Steph painting Dukes nails while watching Naruto
- Jason hitting Tim lightly and Tim falling to the ground hollering getting Jason in trouble
- Damian chasing Jason around with a butter knife (if you didn’t do with w ur sibling then I feel bad for you)

No because this
- we can headcanon and dream that Bruce is the perfect supportive parent that is good at expressing his emotions and taking care of his children but that’s unfortunately not the reality
- I think Damian really needs and values these breaks the most.
- after those nasty fights with Bruce he takes the bus to wherever Jason is holed out for the week/month
- Jason never pries or asks him what happened because he knows if Damian wants to talk about it he will
- Jay will give his little brother a HUG because he deserves one and they’ll attempt to make one of Alfred’s recipes
- Lots of Mario kart and screaming. Overcooked makes Damian forget how mad he is at his father because all that rage turns to Jason who is completely incompetent
- like he can’t even cook the rice and put out a single dish meanwhile Damian is frying a steak cutting up the lettuce AND washing the dishes?? What the fuck??

Jason called Damian Twinkle Toes once and the next day he came down to breakfast with a black eye.
I try to think of the kind of music the batfam listens to and I kinda feel like I have it spot on
- I feel like Tim is that indie/alt kid. Like the good stuff tho… Tierra Wack, carwash, Jesse, etc. he went nuts for Luke Hemmings new album. Definitely a Tyler the Creator fan and Brockhampton but not the NASTY side of those fans
- Duke definitely says SZA supremacy and listens to a lot of Lucky Daye and Bruno Mars I bet. Basically he’s cultured. He listens to the kind of rap and hip hop that doesn’t degrade and objectify women because he’s a good boy. Whenever anyone needs song recs everyone goes to Duke.
- Jason listens to rock, punk, punk rock, alt rock but none of that misogynistic bullshit, Avril Lavigne, and most importantly Brittany Spears
- I think Dick is stuck in the 90s and early 2000s. 100% a Beyoncé fan. God lord this man loves Usher.
- Steph is definitely a Taylor Swift fan
- Cass and Damian listen to classical. And that is not a dig because have y’all listened to Stravinskys Firebird?? The Romeo and Juliet Suit? Beethoven’s Egmont Overture? Tea times with Alfred definitely go bonkers
- Bruce listens to lofi when nobody’s around

It’s 7am
- sometimes Tim won’t leave Bruce alone. Like he’ll just barge into wherever he is. Interrupt whatever he’s doing. Bruce loves spending quality time with his son. But said quality times needs to be a scheduled appointment. I do that to my mom so I’m sure one of them does that to Bruce.
- Dick and Jay wrestling and Bruce hitting them with a newspaper
- y’all know the circle game from like fucking 2003. I feel like that would go horribly wrong in the Wayne household
- Bruce recognizes that if Jason is EVER giggling, he needs to leave the premise immediately for his own safety.
- The looks that Steph and Barbra give eachother when they have to witness the boys do literally anything
- Bruce snores like a dad when he sleeps in his arm chair
- Duke has been kidnapped by his brothers. Like they thought it would be funny to kidnap him. They all got their asses kicked and Duke went crying to Alfred. Alfred was not pleased.
- Jason finds the ugliest ties and he always gives the to Bruce. Bruce treasures them
- whenever one of the kids calls Bruce “dad” he literally can not say no. That’s how Jason got his credit card information and Damian got the keys to the Porsche
- once a year Jason gets an angry phone call from Bruce demanding he return the Batmobile tires.
- Cass absolutely knows how to cry on command. And she uses it to her advantage. (Extra ice cream)
- Jason, Tim and Duke are banned from every 7/11 in the country

What made you so interested in DC? More specifically the Batman Universe? All I remember is seeing a dude dressed up as a bat at 10 yrs old and was like, "cool" lol.
U know how kids w ADHD find something and ATTACH themselves to it immediately. Yea. I was like 12 and I watched a young justice for the first time. And I was like “oh… oh yes.” Also it was the least expensive hobby I had and my parents were like “… fine”. My dad is also like ancient and had box after box of original comics that I was only allowed to touch under his supervision 💀
Batman and DC has been with me as I’ve grown as a person. And quite frankly I prefer daydreaming about it all to the actual canon. Cause let’s be real… Bruce Wayne fucking sucks. I’m really only here for the batkids.
I was also on tumblr when I was like 11 (which really is my villain origin story tbh) and I saw the jason Todd tag for the first time and I was like 🥵
