As a bi blog, I mostly talk about issues that the bi community faces, but I’ve been seeing so much lesbophobia and lesbian erasure from toxic bisexuals lately that we need to address it.
lesbians are NOT biphobic.
the lesbian master doc is also not biphobic, and actually helps many bi femmes affirm their identities as well.
rather than fighting over existing media, we need to join forces and demand for the creation of more lesbian and bi representation in media overall.
just as certain issues are specific to the bi community, lesbians face certain issues that are specific to their identity, and deserve distinct lesbian spaces to talk about those issues separate from wlw circles.
finally, pitting our communities against one another is counterproductive; lesbians and bi femmes especially need to instead work together to address the misogyny within the larger LGBT+ community.
sending lots of love and solidarity!!

mspec people need to stick together :)

I just wanted to say as a side note, I know I’ve been guilty of using “bi, pan, etc..” in the past because I lacked the language to express multi gender attraction as a group of unique identities, but regardless of the reason, using expressions like that as well as “bi+” or “bi umbrella” erase mspec identities. I recently discovered the term mspec, and that’s what I will be using when referring to multi gender attracted people as a group from now on! :)

I made another PSA! I know that as a bi account this will either get ignored or hated on, but I’ve seen next to no one addressing this

hmm this ties in really well with my last post on bi erasure :/ almost as if constantly invalidating and erasing bi people’s identities makes us feel like ✨garbage✨

I don’t know why but lately I’ve been seeing more and more biphobia, and what hurts most is to see that most of it is coming from within the lgbtq+ community.

Reposting because this is important and no one saw it the first time...
I apologize for not being as active on this account lately... first I know that I’m a bit late but happy pride, even if it’s a bit different this year!
The main reason that I haven’t been posting recently is because I have been taking this time to focus especially on BLM. I would like to take this time to remind everyone celebrating pride this month, to not forget the crucial contributions of black LGBT+ people to our movement, and to remember that we would not have pride if it wasn’t for them. I will be posting more about black LGBT+ activists and creators throughout the month.
I urge you to sign petitions, protest if you can do so safely, and to donate if you have the means. The first link I’ve included below has several resources including links to multiple petitions, donation sites (including ways to donate if you don’t have money), and educational tools. I’ve also included a link to one of the places that I’ve donated to that isn’t listed in the first site, the Okra project, which provides meals to the many people within the black trans community that suffer from food insecurity.
Wishing you all a happy, safe, and intersectional pride 💗💜💙
