i don't usually post WIPs but since this is a big project and i have a tendency to drop big projects i'll post what i have now just in case!
its a fan comic for a fic by TimeturnerJay i really enjoyed called:
The Rule of Quantum Certainty (or: i'll still be here if you blink)
this mf made me CRY. the panels are from different little scenes throughout the fic but the words are going to be from my favourite line in chapter 5:
How deeply, troublingly ironic, that all it took for you to find some peace of mind was Gabbro’s comfort in exchange, traded equally like some hatchling’s game of barter. Here, have a shiny pebble for that pretty pine cone, the game might go. Here, your sanity for mine.
This line hit me so hard, its been rolling around in my brain for days now just begging for me to do something with them.
also, this is gonna be my first comic? i have no idea how to do panelling or lettering so be kind i beg

Strange Souls My Beloved
While we're on the topic of abandoned animations take one of the last animations I did in Procreate before my iPad died!
I REALLY want to return to this but I don't have the OG file anymore, it's on my iPad which has long since stopped charging.
My boys don't get NEARLY enough love despite using them as pose practice a few years ago and having my art style improve and change DRASTICALLY.
Also, fun fact! Like most of the animations I did on my iPad, this was done with my finger because my good pen was lost and my backup's charging nub snapped off YEARS ago. like 2022 I think... It was NOT good for my wrist but I prevailed lmao.
Man I REALLY want to get back into animating, I miss it. It was so much easier on Procreate though, even if it didn't have sound or a reliable way to use layers like Flipaclip or Krita. It just felt better because I could scrub back and forth faster than with Krita rn.
Anyways. Please give Tye and Gabe some love, they deserve it!

Time and Again Shenanigans
I'll be real man, these will probably never be polished or finished so fuck it, y'know? Might as well show off what I have just for the excuse to talk about my boys!!!

The only animatic I actually finished for these 2. Looking back on it the way the Goddess interacts with Benny reads a bit too romantic which is NOT what I was intending. They're just kinda supposed to be obsessed with him.
They're the one who gave him the gift but after a while, they start seeing Benny as less of their champion and more of the first friend they've had in EONS. So when Benny starts to hate them, even telling them so it uhh... does NOT feel good.
Not gonna fix it though lmao. This shit took so long
This was BEFORE I moved to Krita so this whole project was made in Fire Alpaca for the ability to have onion skin and then each individual frame was exported into Movie Studio 14 and painstakingly edited to the music. It took WEEKS and you can tell where I started to lose steam near the end LMAO.
I only managed to do 2 mock-ups of what the pallet would look like, realized it was going to be SO much work to finish and promptly gave up. Maybe one day I will finally finish it but that day is NOT today

I was only able to do up until the chorus before the burnout REALLY started to set in.
Seeing as this was an actual animatic and needed actual animation snippets this was like 10 times the amount of work to edit BECAUSE FIREALPACA EXPORTS INDIVIDUAL FRAMES which i had to add in one by one AND THEN COPY PASTE THEM OVER AND OVER TO GET THEM TO LOOP.
Not to mention just to do the little sliding trick I did for them growing up I had to do actual math in Movie Studio cause their transform tool is SO dumb.
It became way too much and I eventually had to give up.
Though now that I have Krita AND I'm re-hyperfixating on it maybe I'll finish one of them. I would REALLY like to have something tangible for them one day.
If you read this far down and are actually interested in them I just posted a ONESHOT of a scrapped confession scene that was too good NOT to share!
And fuck it here's the PLAYLIST too because this is where I do most of my "writing" (adding songs that remind me of their story and then daydreaming scenarios)

And what if i said my Outerwilds fixation is coming back
Found an artist yesterday who has a really cool Outer Wilds comic and my brain just went "yeah ok. Go make that oc you tried to make ages ago but gave up on"
Introducing Mylonite! They're extremely fascinated with the Interloper and finding the secrets inside! (I even gave them a lil patch on their suit!!!)
I have plans to make a Nomai and an Owlk character just for funzies too so be on the look out!!
I've always wanted to do fanart and stuff for Outer Wilds and now i have which is super exciting :3
I need everyone seeing this who hasn't already to go play the game. Please it's SO fucking good. Literally in my top 3 games of all time...

Sorren is quite a few inches shorter than my HC for Rolan so he's gotta reach a lil
Also i'm playing with Rolan's skintone cause i feel like the orange i use usually isn't right. Its so hard to find a good ref tho cause every screenshot and piece of fanart i find are wildly different.
I think this coral is nice and I've adjusted the pants and hair to be a more red tone so they don't clash but hgggg... Idk if its right yet.
Atleast theyre slowly unblocking my artblock so i can work on like other non BG3 related art
