Imagine this:
Eddie and Buck’s suits look like that at the Maddie+Chim wedding because they’ve both figured out they like eachother, but they haven’t quite figured out how the other feels about them.
Cue: lots of awkward accidents as the both try to keep their shit together around eachother. Buck spills his wine, Eddie loses his shirt, Buck accidentally sets his trouser leg on fire, both of them fall into a bush outside, etc….
Accumulating in the pair finally getting their shit together, stepping outside, and having the conversation. (“Why are you being weird around me?” “I’m not being weird, you’re being weird!”).
They kiss, of course, once they figure out how silly they’ve been, and you think that’s it, but…
… one final mishap. Mrs Buckley brought a shrimp-based dish for the wedding banquet. Eddie likes shrimp. Buck? Super allergic. You can see where I’m going with this.
The pair stumble back into the wedding reception because oh my god Buck is having an allergic reaction. Luckily, being surrounded by trained professionals is very useful for an incident like this, and Buck does remember to carry his epipen (much to everyone’s surprise).
Everyone’s like, why on earth would you eat the shrimp if you knew you were allergic!?
“I didn’t eat the shrimp, Eddie did!”
“Why would Eddie eating shrimp cause you to have an allergic… oh.”

Eddie is definitely going to be the last one to find out about Tommy and Buck. It’s going to CLICK for Marisol as soon as she sees them, but she can’t quite convince Eddie, who is absolutely certain that his best friend would’ve told him about something like this.
In fact, Eddie is so certain, that he turns up at the firehouse the next day and explains her not so crazy theory about his best friend to the rest of the 118.
And everyone’s just sat there like 😐
Buck obviously told Maddie, who told Chim. I also feel like he would’ve gone to Hen prior to the date, because LGBTQ besties. And Bobby? Bobby knows his son, thank you very much
And that just leaves Eddie, out of the loop.
