Note: This is going to be very long, so open this with caution!
Despite being an Omega, you found yourself walking life’s roads without a mate. It’s not that you want to see the one true love you're destined to be with; you are afraid of Alphas and their aggressively impulsive behaviors. All because you were raised by a paranoid Omega mother and an absent Alpha father. Your mother was awfully paranoid of, well, everything. From having Alphas in the street take advantage of her anxiety to her husband coming back as an abusive drunk. All worries never happened, but she did project a lot of her pains and sadness onto you and blamed you, quite frequently, for the sorry state she was in. Eventually, you left her behind to pursue a future.
Now, you thought, it is time for a nice cup of hot coffee…or tea, you still haven’t decided. You climb out of your grey-cloaked bed, put on warm clothes with some sneakers, and exit your bedroom. Walking down the carpeted hallway, you turn right into the living room to grab your house keys and phone, then leave the small little hovel you call home before realizing you forgot to take your suppressants - you are only going to the coffee shop and back, can’t be that bad, right?
You press the ground floor button and pull out your phone, which has a small crack on the left side of the screen. You open up a social media app and start mindlessly scrolling through the ‘For You Page.’
As the elevator descends to the ground floor, it stops abruptly at floor #4 to let someone in. No big deal, you thought. You scrolled onto another social media app to see what your favorite celebrities were doing nowadays. The door opens, and a 5’8 brunette pops in and sluggishly presses the ground floor button. You briefly look up before resuming your scrolling, paying her no mind until she lets out a dramatic sigh.
“Kate Bishop,” you mimicked Yelena’s voice.
“Mornin’,” Kate groaned, yawning while putting her scraggly hair into a sloppy bun, “You headin’ downtown for some coffee too?”
“Yuh, *yawns*, need some asap - oh, maybe a donut or a muffin?” You put your phone away in your back pocket and look back up to Kate, who is shabbily dressed in Yelena’s wrinkly black Nirvana shirt and blue plaid pajama pants with grey and white running shoes; clearly, Kate did not give a single fuck about what she wore.
Besides, Kate seems to not have slept; in fact, she is physically drained. The distant stare at the monochrome elevator door, the dark bags underneath her eyes, and the faint smell of sweaty clothes attacked your nostrils.
“I…need…coffee, mmh, this sucks.” Kate pinches the bridge of her nose and then rubs her eyes.
“Had an intense workout…?” You raised a brow.
Kate flashes a tired grin and giggles, “You can say that.” With a lop-sided smile, Kate manages to suppress her giggly stupor, “Don’t think coffee’ll help with anything, could go for some water, though.”
“True that.” you rake your y/e/c hair behind your ear, “Probs won’t sit around too long - gotta refill my prescription.” you half-truthed to cover up your suppressant use.
Kate turns her head a few degrees, narrowing her eyes and crinkling her nose in doubt; you have never mentioned any prescription since she and Yelena have known you. Hell, Yelena has made comments about you possibly being a beta before. Kate sees right through your lie and pinches the bridge of her nose, sighing disappointedly.
“Okay,” she drawled as the elevator door opened; you two stepped out and exited through the lobby’s glass doors and made your way down the cracked sidewalk with the chilly wind blowing through your hair, “I know your ‘prescriptions’ are suppressants, Y/N, don’t gotta hide it from me.”
“Wh-what, how!?” you sputter, spit flying out your mouth.
Kate turns her head as you two approach the coffee shop’s doors, and your fellow Omega companion opens the door for you before smirking, “Because….” Kate chuckles, “We’re Omegas, Y/N, we Omegas kinda act alike - suppressants are kinda common among us; um, just a vanilla mocha and an ice water for us.” she flashes an awkward smile to the cashier before she whips out her card.
“I’ll meet you in our usual spot.” You turn on your heel and walk towards the back of the cafe.
The coffee shop is laid out with typical indoor dining chairs and tables strewn about; the tables are brown, with the chairs having green cushions on top of the hard white metal chairs. Warm wooden walls decorated with fake ivy and paintings of steaming hot coffee. Now past the counter, in the main lobby, the interior has a rustic green and brown look. There is a leaf green plush couch to your left directly across from two chairs of the same make, same-colored plush, and they had similar carvings as the couch. A multilayered coffee table was between the sofa and the chairs, with drawers filled with extra books and beaten-up board games crammed into the bottom.
Your usual spot was down a weathered, narrow corridor to the left at the end of the hall. Entering the backroom, you realize how hollow the halls are: you can hear the shallow clinking of your sneakers bouncing off the walls.
You sink into the sofa, waiting for Kate, and your mind begins to wander and wonder about the day ahead - what would you be doing today other than going to the pharmacy and grabbing your prescription? Some doodling on your tablet, snuggling up in your favorite blanket, watching your favorite videos or TV shows, or a comfort film? You have received a few commissions recently, and the bills are paid, so why not a day of relaxation? But with Kate knowing about your use of suppressants, she will likely follow you to the pharmacy and demand you go home with her and flush your prescription down the toilet. It’s an odd thought to have, but it is definitely in the realm of possibility Kate would do such a thing. So, probably not the best idea to travel to the pharmacy immediately after coffee.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad to hang out with Kate afterward and then go to the pharmacy just to make sure Kate was off your tail.
As minutes flew by, you heard another pair of footsteps echoing off the walls; it must be Kate.
“One coffee for my fellow Omega and one water for me!” Kate chirps as she plops her bottom on the sofa next to you, “Soooo, wanna talk about your suppressant use or?”
“I don’t take 'em every day, Kate,” you sip your coffee, “Only when I go out in public, which is like never.”
Kate smiles, and relief washes over her - allowing herself to release the breath she had been holding; she’s glad you aren’t addicted to them. Despite not going out often, you pop a pill every few days to stave away your heat, just in case. You refuse to tell her that, but you understand that Kate did the same things you’re doing now.
“Can’t take them forever, Y/N - it’s gonna hurt you in the long run, especially when you find your mate.” Kate takes a swig of her water, nearly chugging all of it in one go.
“Hehe, what makes you think I’ll ever find my mates. Don’t wanna meet them right now, to be honest with you, Kate. I’m perfectly fine cruising through life without a mate.” you crossed your legs as you leaned against the armrest, resting your head on your hand, “I mean, why would I let an Alpha barge into my life, beat me into submission, and then leave me on the side of the road?”
“WOAH!” Kate half-yelled, her sudden and loud exclamation echoed down the hall, “Why would you say something like that? Not all Alphas are bad; just look at Yelena!”
You understood why Kate has an optimistic view of Alphas. Still, any positive perception of Alphas has tarnished all thanks to your parents, particularly your mother, who told you how your mate would reject you on the spot and go after another five minutes after.
“Kate…she’s one of the few good ones, I’ll admit it, but all my life, my mom….” you paused, looking away from Kate’s eyes to bashfully stare at the wall, “Said they would tear me apart and well, what I said earlier were one of the many other things she threw my way. Still, I read so many stories about other Omegas having an amazing life with their fated mates, but I honestly don’t believe my Alpha would love me or even bother having me in their life.” you explained with a frown.
Kate frowns and whines, “I remember you saying something about that. I understand why you think such things, Y/N. I know finding your mate won’t solve all your life’s problems-”
“I’m fine, Kate. I’m doing great without them now, aren’t I?” you interjected, “My art is selling well, and I’m living comfortably; I also have some friends to boot. Kate, I’m fucking scared of finding my mate - scared they’ll hurt me like the Omegas you see on the news. Tired of always being so afraid to exit my apartment.”
Kate nods in understanding while placing a reassuring hand on your knee, “I know how you feel; I was just like you, sort of.” the archer pauses for a moment to consider an idea, “Hmm, well…maybe the best way to conquer this fear is to…hang out - one on one - with Yelena.”
“Really?” you shifted in your seat; Kate’s suggestion made you nervous; if it weren’t more prominent, you were now looking away from her piercing blue eyes and outside the windows.
The scraggly brunette grabs your chin and turns your head back to face her, “Yes.” she spoke with firm confirmation, her eyebrows were raised and her lips pursed as she nodded, “Yelena is a great example of a good Alpha, sure she has some flaws and lapses of judgment but some time alone with her might do you some good, maybe?”
Perhaps so. It could definitely be beneficial for you in the long run; being around a trusted Alpha can improve mental health to a degree, build up some confidence in the unmated, or, should an Omega drop, be a source of comfort and a safe space. You haven’t dropped for a while, maybe three months ago, and you were alone in your bedroom. What could go wrong with some time with your friend?
You aren’t sure what this would theoretically do for you - possibly understanding the mind or personality of the Alpha? One part of you really wants to believe that Alphas are gentle, caring protectors, but the other says they will hurt you and use your body as their personal plaything, only to be left in the streets when they have their way with you.
Mulling it over in silence for a moment, fidgeting with your hair, twirling a strand anxiously, and paying no mind to your coffee or Kate’s expectant glare. Your bite your bottom lip and then take a deep breath before hesitantly answering, “Ye-yeah, I suppose I could try…. What if-”
“Ah, ah!” Kate stopped you from going on an overthinking tirade by reflexively placing the tip of her right thumb between both your lips, catching you completely off-guard, “No what ifs or buts, Y/N. You will find your Alpha mate, and I promise: they won’t leave you or hurt you.” she removes her thumb from your mouth and smiles warmly.
You offer a sheepish smile in return, “Mhm.”
“Sooo, how does noon sound?”
You and Kate discuss what you and Yelena might be doing for the hour or so you’re there. It’s decided you and Yelena will have a quiet day on the couch, watching movies and ordering a large pizza to enjoy.
“Do you really think this would work?” you asked, sipping on your coffee before speaking again, “Cause I really don’t want to waste Yelena’s time by-”
“It won’t fix your problems. However, it could help you…not run away from your potential partner at first sight of them.” Kate interrupts, “Another thing.”
“Hmm?’
“You won’t be there long - Lena’s sister and her other Alpha friend, I think, are in town and are about to visit,” Kate warns light-heartedly only because Lena’s sister has said she is unmated to any Omega yet and so is her friend.
“Oh. Isn’t her sister one of the Avengers? I’d love to meet an Avenger!” You flashed a bright smile Kate’s way and shook with excitement.
Kate winces and inhales through her mouth, “Not a good idea right now.”
“Why? Is the Black Widow not in the mood for other visitors?” you joked, unprepared for what Kate had to say next.
“No, it’s much more than that…Natasha is unmated, and so is her friend, Wanda.”
“Ah,” you put your coffee cup on a coaster before resuming, “That is a valid reason not to stay.”
“Yeah,” Kate took a quick sip of water, “You only need Yelena, not Natasha, not Wanda, just you and Yelena.”
You nodded in agreement, “Welp, should we, uh, call her first?”
“Mhm!” She purses her lips, “Lena, don’t be mad at me for springing this on you.”
Kate drowsily fishes around in her pockets for her cell phone. From the sound of it, she has wads of paper, change, for some reason, and plastic wrapping. Why was she carrying these things in her pocket, to begin with? Your fellow Omega seems slightly distressed at the absence of her phone, “Lemme guess, you forgot it at home…again?”
She gives you a blank stare, her lips still pursed with annoyance at herself for being so forgetful, “May I, please?” She frowns with puppy eyes sparkling underneath the lights.
“Fine,” you drawled, “You really need to have it on you; Yelena’ll be pissed this time.”
“Protective,” Kate corrects, “She’s very protective of her Omega” She blushes while searching for Yelena’s name in your contacts, “Ooh, I bet she’s gonna be cranky and growl into the phone; that’d be so hot!”
You just blink and stare absently.
“You’ll understand someday, Y/N/N…hey, Lena!”
“Where are you?” Her tone radiated irritation; she probably woke up without Kate in bed next to her, “Kate Romanoff," There’s the growl Kate had been anticipating.
Kate nearly squealed like a kid on Christmas; she could barely contain her excitement at Yelena’s possessiveness over her mate, “At the coffee shop with Y/N, she and I were wondering….”
“Kate.” The blonde groaned.
“Hear me out, okay?”
“Fine,” Lena dragged out.
“I figured she might benefit from hanging out with you alone, you know, to glean a better understanding of Alphas ‘cause she’s kinda afraid of being with one?”
“Wait, she actually agreed to that? That's surprising. "
“She trusts you, Lena, and only you…currently, please. I think this could really help her.”
“Okay, you got me because I owe her a favor. Make it quick; Natasha and Wanda are on their way and will be here in two hours or less.”
“Thank you, thank you! I promise tonight, I’ll let you-” Kate turns away from you and whispers into your phone, “Knot me tonight.” and then immediately hangs up, leaving Yelena a flustered, babbling mess. Kate turns to you and hands your phone back, “Alright, it’s signed and sealed; let’s get going.”
You and Kate throw away your garbage and leave the secluded room, heading back to the apartments for your visit with Yelena. Anxiety wells up within you with each step you take, ‘It’s just Yelena; she’s a trusted friend, remember?’ you say to yourself to ease your nerves. It doesn’t help in the slightest. Kate listens to your shallow, shaky breathing and clenches your hand, “It’s gonna be okay, I promise - it’s Yelena; she will not hurt you, Y/N/N.”
“I know, there’s still the possibility that Natasha might show up earlier than expected and-”
“Y/N, I promise you will be gone before they arrive. If anything, should they arrive sooner than later, you can always make an exit, no feelings hurt.” Kate opens the door for you, and you both return home.
“Kate Romanoff,” the blonde answers the door upon the first knock, “Y/N, come on in! I have some snacks for us…and my sister and her wife, when they get here in like an hour and a half, make yourself comfy. And Kate…what will you be doing?”
Kate immediately makes a beeline for the bedroom. You recall she hasn’t slept because Yelena kept her up all night with strenuous physical activity, and her exhaustion showed in her posture and face, “I knew it.” You laughed.
“Oof, alright, take a seat with me, Y/N,” Yelena shrugs off Kate’s exit, clearly more interested in talking with you.
“Sooo, how do we go about this?” you wondered, twirling your hair nervously.
“Hmm, well, I know why you think what you think. Your mom was a big factor, especially since all her paranoia passed to you. What about us Alphas scares you, though? Never talked about it much.” Yelena eats cheese and crackers while you explain everything you told her Omega.
“I always hear things on the news about how Alphas mistreat or abuse my kind, and I’ve read many articles telling me how awful Alphas really are and why they shouldn’t be trusted.”
“It made your fear worse,” Yelena observed, “Most of those articles are written because they loathe them. You do not hate Alphas, right?”
You sighed heavily, crossing your arms and looking down at the snack table, taking a few grapes and noshing on them before continuing, “Right. I’m just…scared of them.”
“What about Alphas scare you? Is it…,” Yelena pauses, “How our personalities can be when our hormones act up or is it like a general thing?”
“Everything. I’m afraid of them hurting and rejecting me; what if they reject me and beat me to death? That happened a few weeks ago with an omega man; what if that happens to me?”
“Y/N, the ‘what ifs’ are breaking your mind. There are always bad apples in every group, even Omegas, betas, and of course, Alphas; that’s how people are sometimes.” Yelena explains calmly, telling you there isn’t much to fear except the bad apples.
“How would I ever know which one would hurt me? People can easily hide that dark part of themselves, and they lure me to their home and kill me or something.” You sulked, frowning as you ate another grape with some cheese.
“Well…that’s where I would go with you,” Yelena sipped some water from her hydro flask and set it down, “I’m not gonna let anybody touch you with their gross ass hands - that right is reserved for your mate alone.”
“Thank you, Lena.” you breathed out slowly, debating whether or not to tell the truth. You can trust Yelena - that’s for sure. “I say a lot that I don’t want my mate because I’d rather be independent and work on my art, unbothered by the world and away from the Alphas.” You pause to take a swig of water poured into a glass. “The truth is, I want to find them and have somebody love me.” You confessed what had been truly lying underneath the surface. All the deflecting and misdirection were useless, and it had no benefit in the end. You didn’t want to tell her, yet you had to - to escape your mom’s shadow. “I’m afraid of my mom being right about my future, about how my mate would reject me on the spot and fuck another Omega afterward. About the pain they’d inflict.”
Yelena nods in understanding, a half-smile forms on her lips, “That took a lot to admit, and I thank you for your honesty, Y/N.”
“I felt comfortable enough with you to share; besides, it needed to be shared,” you replied with a yawn, “Struggling with my mom’s darkness cannot be done alone; I need people in my life who can help me overcome this.”
“We’ll be with you, even when you move away with your mate.” Yelena slightly frowns at the thought of you leaving; she’s grown to like you throughout your time here, and so had Kate, even more so. It’s hard to imagine not being close to them anymore: just three floors down and five doors on your right.
“I don’t know what to do if I found my mate now.” You ate some more snack foods as Yelena began to speak.
“It’s up to you. A lot of Omegas tend to rush into their mate’s arms, but some are casual about it, and others take their time to fully accept their mate.” It’s good to know there’s no rush or fuss about it going too fast. What a foreign concept for you: taking time to adjust yourself to your mate instead of going head-over-heels for them, blindly rushing into something you don't know.
“I’d rather take my time and go with the flow, you know?”
Ring ring!
Yelena’s phone starts ringing. “The blonde picks up her cellular device, and her eyes widen when seeing who’s calling. You see it too, ‘Wanda….”
“Wanda…you almost here? Yeah? Okay, the door’s unlocked. Where’s Natasha? On a mission? Fuck. Okay, whatever….” Yelena grumbles at the end and hangs up, “Sooo, would you like to meet Wanda? She’s my sister’s mate - they’re Alphas, just to clarify. If you don’t, that’s totally fine.”
You’ve always wanted to meet one of the Avengers; you weren’t gonna walk out on an opportunity like this, “I’ve always wanted to meet one of the Avengers! Wanda is super cool!”
“Okay…she said she was in the elevator, so she should be here in a second. Forewarning, she is an unmated Alpha, so she might be…on you.”
You turn to her, trying to understand what she means. Yelena said Wanda was mated to Natasha, right? It’s not a terribly rare occurrence for two Alphas to be coupled together, but by the sounds of it, they haven’t eloped yet? What a strange thing to do, but hey, no judgment here. Maybe they’re waiting for their honeymoon? No, it’s implied they have been together for quite some time.
“I thought you said-” A turning of a door handle interrupts you from asking. The door swings open to reveal a redheaded woman huddled in an oversized fluffy hoodie with a Yeti cup of iced coffee.
“Ah, Wanda, have a seat. I made us some snacks.” Yelena offered.
“Oooh, I love snacks!” Wanda chirps as she excitedly waddles to the loveseat adjacent to the couch and promptly grabs a paper plate with a few pieces of cheese and crackers to go with each slice.
Once Wanda eats a few, cleans herself off, and notices you out of the corner of her eyes, she then looks up at you, inquisitively narrowing her eyes and pursing her lips, “I didn’t see you there.” She puts the paper plate she was eating off of on the coffee table, “Who’re you? I’m sorry if that sounded rude.”
There’s a sickly floral scent hanging in the air; it wasn’t there before - Yelena’s apartment smells like a cold garage most times, and you know Yelena dislikes air fresheners because it makes Kate’s scent smell off, her words. Why now are there…roses permeating the air? Unless Wanda has a snazzy and expensive perfume? No, it’s too strong - it’s practically radiating off her like sunlight.
“Um, no, it’s okay, I’m Y/N. I’m her neighbor from three floors up.”
Wanda sits in silence to take in the heavenly scent you were giving, “Charmed to meet you!” Wanda bites her bottom lip and licks her upper, “What brings you here? Just hanging out and chatting or…?”
“Yeah, she’s helping me through some stuff,” you answered truthfully.
You and Wanda lock eyes for a moment, allowing you to admire her gorgeous green eyes illuminated by the sunlight peaking through the curtains. Her strawberry-blonde hair dazzles in the sunshine, giving her the radiance of an angel. To top it all off, she smells of roses and vanilla.
Your heart is racing, though you don’t know why. “You look beautiful when the sun shines on you,” you compliment her ethereal beauty at last.
“Thank you, hot stuff.” Wanda winks, and a gentle smile graces her pink and plump lips.
You sit there with an agape mouth, “I’m hot?”
Wanda’s eyes are noticeably dilated when she looks at you, “Definitely the prettiest girl I’ve seen all day…you out beat my Alpha by a longshot.”
What is her game here? You were simply complimenting how she glowed underneath the sun. Is she planning to cheat on her Alpha with a lowly Omega? Why do such a thing? Her mate is Natasha, Yelena’s sister and fellow member of the Avengers - why go so low for the apple closest to the bottom? Throwing it all away for some hermit Omega, but why?
You decide to get a clearer answer, somehow, “What? I thought you were mated to your other Alpha, Natasha? Why’re you-”
“Y/N, it’s okay, it’s okay!” Yelena places a comforting hand on your shoulder.
“What? She’s flirting with me while she’s mated to her other half; that’s not right. That’s cheating!” you explained, not wanting to be a part of an affair.
There it is again, the smell of roses with a hint of vanilla hitting your sinuses though this time, it is noticeably stronger than before. Your body feels warmer because of it, and tingly too. The reassuring warmth washes away some of your worries as if it were magic. Wanda gets up from her seat and sits next to you; the lovely aroma becomes intoxicating. Yelena is watching on with curiosity, intently observing what Wanda plans on doing with you.
“Detka,” Wanda says breathily. Her hot breath hits the shell of your ear, causing your hair to stand up on end, “I’d never cheat on my Alpha, not with anyone, ever. However,” Wanda snakes an arm around your waist, “Have you noticed my scent? How calming it is?” She seductively whispers. Yelena has left, figuring Wanda has it from here but is nearby should things go south.
“I feel warm; it’s nice.” Wanda cranes her head and rubs against your scent gland, then pulls away, hoping you would get the hint. You begin understanding what everything means: the flirting, the use of her scent and pheromones, and the rubbing of your scent gland with her face; it could only mean one thing, “W-wait, are you, my mate?!” Fear starts overriding your brain with whispers of your mom’s heinous words.
“Yes, I am! Natasha is your mate too; that’s why I was flirting with you, silly!” Wanda’s hand slithers over yours and clasps it. Electricity shoots through you when her skin touches yours, “All ours, our precious Omega,” Wanda growled lowly and hotly into your ear.
Startled, you hop off the couch, “Oh no, no, no! I can’t, I- I can’t!” you cried, trembling as you stood. Your mom’s words echoed in your mind, “Your mate is gonna hurt you. Worthless, good for nothing. They won’t love you; they’ll pretend to and leave you in the dust and to rot.”
Wanda slowly stands up to not scare you. She hears echoes of your mind’s anguish and sadness, only small fragments of sentences such as ‘You deserve to die alone and afraid,’ With fearful tears forming in your eyes, your knees threaten to buckle underneath you. You continue repeating, ‘I can’t,’ until Wanda speaks, “Shhhh, detka. I’m not going to hurt you…. May I hold you, detka?”
“No, no, please get away from me. I- I can’t be here!” you begged, and your breathing became panicked and heavy. All that’s on your mind is your mother yelling at you, screaming obscenities until her voice gives out.
“Okay, okay. I hear you…tell me, what’s wrong ‘mega?” Wanda spoke softly, backing away two feet to not tip you over the edge.
“MY MIND IS KILLING ME!” you sobbed; everything had become blurry, and your body flushed with heat. You began wobbling, nearly falling backward. Wanda is quick to wrap her arms around you.
“Oh, my Omega…I’m right here,” Wanda cooed as she placed you and herself on the couch, preparing for when you inevitably drop.
There’s nothing but grievances swirling in the vortex of your frightened mind as you succumb to your body’s emergency shutdown. You were feeling good moments ago, then the panic of finding your mate so soon sent your mind into a maddening spiral that brought out your mother’s harshest words. This was going to be quite the complicated path you would travel: learning to accept your past and learning to love again.
“Natasha…hey, just wanted to leave a message.” Wanda’s voice was nearly a murmur and somber in tone. “I found our Omega - she’s not well; she had a fear-induced drop. I don’t know what to do; please get back to me when you can. I love you.”
It’s been thirty minutes since you dropped, and Wanda has not let you go, only to grab her phone and call Natasha. You were lying unconscious next to Wanda, your head resting in the crook of Wanda’s neck, and your body was laid on its side, half on top of Wanda. Essentially, you were cuddling her.
Wanda stares longingly at your sleeping form, “Our girl…our mate. You’re so beautiful,” she says softly, recalling some of your haunting thoughts, “You’re safe with me, detka. No one will hurt you when I’m around.” The witch presses a kiss to your forehead, which you subconsciously react to by squirming in her gentle, loving hold.
You groaned in pain.
“It’s okay; I’m right here.” Wanda combs through your hair with her fingers; this appears to calm you down.
Yelena comes into view and is met with an immediate growl from Wanda; it was purely instinctual - no malice came from it, “Woah,” she took note of the growl’s volume, “I made her some chicken noodle soup…they were leftovers from last night, and maybe it might help her. I’m going to come closer, don’t bite, and place it in front of you.”
Wanda’s protective hold of you becomes tighter, and her pupils become pinpricks while the blonde dares to approach. She sets the hot soup bowl on the table, puts her hands in the air, and backs off slowly.
“Thank you,” Wanda spoke kindly, “Sorry, I didn’t mean to growl at you.”
Yelena chuckles, “It’s all good. I get it. I was the same with Kate” Yelena sits down on the loveseat and relaxes, “I know you called Natasha; I assumed she didn’t pick up?”
Wanda nods slowly and then presses another kiss on your forehead, “I knew she wouldn’t…so I left her a voice message. I know she’ll see it soon.”
“Since you might be here for a while, would you like a pillow or a blanket with which we could cover Y/N? She needs all the warmth she can get.” Yelena inquires as she searches a wicker basket full of unused blankets.
“Yes, absolutely,” Wanda smiles, “A pillow would be nice too. The armrest is getting uncomfortable.”
Yelena grabs a purple fleece blanket, unravels it to its full length, then fluffs it over you, allowing it to fall gracefully over you, “Okay, that should do. Here’s your pillow, Wanda; let me know if you need anything. I’ll be in the bedroom with Kate.”
The former assassin leaves the room, leaving you and Wanda entirely alone - a good thing, too, as you wriggled in Wanda’s hold, showing signs of awakening. A fear-induced drop lasts only a little bit, ranging from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on how bad the situation is. A fear-induced one can also either wear down or damage the body. Thanks to Wanda, it had been 30 minutes since you dropped, and recovery was quick. Her warmth and pheromones helped with the healing process.
“Baby girl….” Wanda whines, “Please wake up…my poor girl.”
Wanda’s phone begins vibrating loudly on the wooden coffee table, and she immediately answers it without seeing the caller ID, “Wanda, I got your voicemail…is she okay now? Does she need any medical assistance? Where are you?” There was an ember of panic in her voice, a rarity for the Black Widow to experience panic.
“She’s doing alright. I have her beside me at Yelena’s house - she’s still unconscious…honey, her mind is damaged, so very damaged. She was so scared when I told her she was our mate; so many terrible things were in her head.”
Natasha silently says, “Okay…what’s her name? I need to know…please.” Natasha enters a secluded room in the compound and leans up against the wall, awaiting an answer. She would probably need your name for medical reasons should you need a visit to the medical wing.
Wanda continues combing and twirling your hair, smiling fondly, “Y/N, her name is Y/N. It fits her so well.”
“I love her name already,” Natasha fawns over your name, “Y/N, Y/N, I have not seen her yet…but I adore her name.”
“Aww,” Wanda coos, happy to hear her other Alpha gushing over you so soon, “She’s gorgeous; I can’t wait for you to meet her - she seems so sweet when she isn’t scared.”
“You’re so lucky…you got to hold and protect her when she dropped. So jealous.” Natasha exits the room and heads for the main room, “Still, we need to bring her in for an evaluation. That drop could not have been good; those are dangerous - who knows how many fear-induced drops she has had?”
Tony Stark walks past as Natasha finishes her sentence, only hearing, ‘Who knows how many fear-induced drops she has had?’ He pauses in place, his lips quirking disbelievingly, “What? Wait, hold on a second, Nat!” Stark caught up to the striding Natasha, struggling to keep up with her, “I heard something about a fear-induced drop, everyone good?”
Natasha refuses to stop moving, “Maybe. Nothing too serious, I hope.” The assassin had the phone moved away from her mouth.
“Do keep me posted?” Tony asks before meeting up with Steve and Bucky for a briefing on the Hydra base they raided not too long ago. Nat only nodded.
“Sorry, love. Tony wanted a quick word.”
“Yelena doesn’t know, not many, I presume,” Wanda shrugs, then reassures the Widow, “When she’s fully awake, I’ll see if I can gain her trust enough for me to take our Omega to the medical wing; she’s not terribly keen on trusting Alphas.”
Natasha’s heart flutters with sadness. Of course, someone hurt her Omega, “Who hurt her?” She growls uncharacteristically loud, not enough to alarm anybody in her proximity, “I’ll hunt them down and tear them apart and make them beg for mercy.”
“I don’t know, Nat…can’t ask her that yet; I don’t think killing the person who hurt her would win her over,” Wanda admits. You begin to stir, your arms and legs stretching outward as your eyes start opening, “She’s waking up, Natty; I gotta go.” Wanda hangs up without another word.
“Mmm, oww.” you tiredly groaned into Wanda’s ear.
Wanda eases her pheromone usage to not overwhelm you, “Hey, you, you’re finally awake.”
You are incredibly weakened, unable to move an inch without help. In fact, your mind is surprisingly intact after the nightmare attack…somewhat, “Hungry…hungry.”
“Yelena brought you some chicken noodle soup; it’s hot and ready for you!” Wanda beams.
“Could you help me up? I feel drained,” you whined for your Alpha to help you in your exhausted state, “Please?” Your bottom lip curled into a frown.
“Of course, ‘mega,” The witch, unfortunately, has to use her magic to push you up as her upper body strength is not much, “I hope you don’t mind.”
As Wanda gets up, she has you lean on her for support in case your body can do so. The Alpha levitates the bowl into her hands and holds it in front of you, “Do you want me to feed you, or do you want me to hold the bowl while you eat?”
You initially grimace at the thought of someone feeding you like you are helpless, but you know what you can and cannot do, and eating on your own is one you cannot do by yourself. You did not want to rely on someone ever to help you; alas, you had to - your arms were trembling.
“Y-yeah, er, yes, please.” you begrudgingly agreed.
Wanda holds the silver spoon and scoops up a good sum of broth, noodles, and chicken, holding it in front of your lips. You open your mouth and eat: it tastes pretty damn good, you’d say. Yelena has loved cooking ever since she and Kate moved in with each other. You take another spoonful from Wanda and savor the taste; this is probably the healthiest thing you have eaten in a month, but that’ll change soon.
“You’re doing so good, Y/N.” Wanda had to physically restrain herself from calling you ‘my Omega.’ She wanted to ensure you trusted her first before contacting you, so for now, ‘detka’ will suffice.
“Thank you…for your help, Wanda,” you acquiesced.
“Always, detka,” Wanda fed you another spoonful, “Would you like me to take you back to your apartment after you finish eating?” How generous of her! For an Alpha, she’s awfully kind to escort you home safely.
“Yes,” you meekly replied, “And,” you hesitated, “Could you…lay down with me…when we go to my apartment?” You thought you sounded pathetic when pleading for your mate to hold you while you lay in bed, but you, for some reason, knew you needed Wanda with you, despite your need for independence. Just this once. Speaking of, where were the harsh words of your parental unit? Not a single one has popped up ever since you dropped. Could it be that they appear when you’re all alone or challenged by something new?
Wanda tries to hold back an excited grin, yet she can’t help but squeal with delight, “Awww, of course, I will! You’re my-” Wanda stops herself.
“Go on, you can call me your mate…you saved me believe it or not.”
“Wait- really?” Wanda was shocked: after everything that happened almost 45 minutes ago, she saved you? How?
“Yeah…if it weren’t for you, I would not have come out of that…thank you.” You half-smiled and brought her in for a side hug.
Wanda sets the nearly empty bowl back on the table and wraps both arms around you for a tight hug, “I’d do anything to make my Omega feel safe and loved.”
Warmth rushed to your cheeks. This felt nice, you thought, to have affection thrown your way. You were not used to it, but you welcomed it anyway.
One thing has been on your mind: who was Wanda talking to when you were unconscious? You could not determine what she was saying, but you felt her voice in her chest when you rested. It could have been Yelena, for all you know. However, there indeed was somebody else Wanda was talking to, but who?
“Were you talking with someone while I was unconscious? I felt you speaking, and I was just curious….” you bashfully darted your eyes to the kitchen, where you could see a fully-outfitted Kate and Yelena preparing to leave for some sort of superhero outing. They slipped quietly out of the window.
“Natasha,” Wanda stated, “Your other Alpha…I left her a voice message shortly after you dropped, informing her of what happened, and she called a little later.”
“Oh,” was all you could say. That explains everything. No wonder she was openly flirting with you; she is mated to both you and Natasha, “I’m sorry about everything I accused you of earlier; that was shitty of me - I was scared and-”
“It’s okay, ‘mega,” Wanda hugged you tighter, “You didn’t know. I thought you would’ve caught onto my calming scent sooner, and I wasn’t too helpful or aware of what was happening. I got caught up in the moment of finding my Omega mate. I’m sorry too.”
You smiled fully for the first time today; your Alpha owned up to her mistakes and meant it. She had a kind disposition when apologizing and meant every word. You initially thought all Alphas were just sex-crazed monsters who would beat you to death if you rejected their disgusting advances, but now Wanda is changing your perspective little by little. You are warming up to the idea of being mated to two Alphas but are not actually ready to go all in just yet. It would take some time for you to fully recover mentally from your abusive mother’s cruel words and to be free of those chains that bound you. Today is a great start.
“I suppose we should get you back upstairs, my mate.” Wanda nuzzles your scent gland, covering you in her rosy-vanilla scent.
“Mmm, yeah,” you said, pulling away, “Gonna drink some water first - need to cool me down.”
“Was me scenting you too much?” Wanda asked, worried she moved too fast.
“Eh. If I remember right, scenting prevents other Alphas from getting touchy; in a way, you’re protecting me.” You admitted as you drank some water from Yelena’s hydro flask.
“Oh, good. Just wanna make sure I didn’t overstep your boundaries.” Wanda wiped her forehead of sweat; the room's temperature had risen to battle the coolness that seeped in from the window Yelena left cracked open.
“I’ll let you know if you or Natasha overstep,” you let out a yawn, you dropping must have worn your body out., “But I need to go home soon; dropping like that certainly didn’t replenish my energy.”
Wanda nods in agreement with a small smile, “Tomorrow, we might need you checked out at the hospital…in case your body was strained or hurt when you fear-dropped. I’m sure you’re fine, but we can’t be too careful.” Her concern was not unwarranted, fear-drops can be hurtful to the body in many ways.
“Understood…oh, are we going to the Avenger’s hospital or?” you perked up with a hopeful smile.
“Absolutely, you can finally meet your other mate - she’s dying to meet her precious Omega; believe me: she was gushing about me telling her your name.”
This made you blush madly, flustered to know that your other Alpha was eager to meet you. However, you are weary of going somewhere completely new and all the kinds of people you would be meeting. You bet there will be many Alphas in the Avengers, which you need more preparation for, though you will have Wanda and Natasha to protect you should someone cross the line.
“I’m excited!” you exclaimed, “Off to bed we go!”
“Alright, malyshka,” Wanda rubs her eyes, grabs the purple fleece blanket Yelena gave you, and throws it over her shoulder. As the redhead stands up, she helps you to your feet, and you drape your left arm over her shoulders for support, “Do you need anything before you rest up for the afternoon?”
“Afternoon?” you inquired.
“Yeah, it’s only 2:15; why do you ask?”
“I’m afraid I’ll fall asleep and fuck up my sleep schedule completely…maybe we could watch a movie or two? Might have to do a commission in the morning,” you explained simply.
“Welllll, bed plus your mate right next to you equals you and I falling asleep. Got any other idea to keep yourself awake?”
“Not really,” you sighed in defeat, “Finnneee, I guess I’ll go to bed.”
You and Wanda are already out of the door and inside the elevator, “Floor?”
“Seven,” you yawned.
“So, what is this commission you speak of? I’m a bit confused.”
“Oh…I- I’m a freelance artist. People ask me to draw stuff, and they pay me a decent amount of money, and I draw it for them once they have paid me.”
Ring ring!
Three hours after you return to your apartment with Wanda, watching FRIENDS and nearly falling asleep twice, you are both awoke by Wanda’s phone. Who could possibly be calling so early in the twilight? Yelena and Kate are out on a stakeout, so they would not be dillydallying on their phones unless it was an emergency.
“Natasha?” Wanda furrows her brows, “Hey, honeybuns!”
That is fucking adorable.
“Hey, babe…how’s our mate?” Natasha is lying on her bed in her pj’s, bored out of her mind, when she decides to call Wanda for a status update on you.
“I don’t know…why don’t you ask her?” The Alpha whispers, “It’s for you.”
Wanda hands you her red-cased phone, and you place it against your ear. “Hello?” your voice was timid and quiet.
Natasha grins, “Mate.” Just by your voice, she knows for certain that you are her mate, “You doing okay, lovely? Wanda treating you like a princess?” Her voice was velvety and low.
“I’m doing even better! Wanda has been treating me so well!” you praised the redhead next to you, to which she blushed.
“Good,” Natasha plays with her hair, “I may not know what you look like yet, but I know you’re absolutely beautiful. I’d do anything to hold you right now…fuck, I’m so jealous of Wanda right now; it’s not funny.”
You yawned loudly into the speaker, “Oh no, I’m getting sleepy again…I wanna know more about you, Natasha.”
“Oh, baby girl, you should get some rest - you had a rough day; I won’t keep you too long, I-”
“Wait!” you interjected, “I wanna send a pic real quick before I sleep.” You quickly go to the camera app and turn the camera on yourself, take a poorly-lit selfie, and send it to Natasha, “There, now you know what I look like…I’m a little nervous about meeting you…and everyone else, but I know you and Wanda will guard me, and I can feel safe when I visit.” you yawned once more, “Looks like I must rest now…I will see you tomorrow!”
“Goodnight, Omega. Sleep well!” Natasha blows a kiss.
“Goodnight!” you bid your farewell. Your eyelids became heavy with sleep, and you let out another yawn.
Tomorrow is the day. The day you meet your other Alpha. Tomorrow is another day, a good day, where you and your two mates come together. Still, your mother’s words, albeit faintly, echo in the recesses of your mind, now quieter than they have ever been in the past few months.
Tomorrow is today. The morning sun greets you at 11:07 when you finally awake from a deep, uninterrupted slumber that lasted over twelve hours. It was the best sleep you have ever gotten; not even that one time you were up for thirty-six hours and crashed felt as good as this. You felt rejuvenated, all because in the middle of the night, you subconsciously sought your Alpha’s comfort when you had a nightmare. Wanda tightly held you the whole night, ensuring you remained asleep and comfortable. Imagine sleeping with two….
Wanda has been awake for about three hours, waiting for you to rise from your slumber while stroking your hair on and off. You were awake but not wanting to move a muscle - Wanda was ultra comfy, and you liked it when she played with your hair. The Alpha was beyond happy with you in her arms. It made her feel she had a new mission in life: to love and protect her Omega.
Wanda’s heart swells with love and loyalty. She does something she did not anticipate herself - her throat begins lowly rumbling, purring into your ear as you lay there half-awake, “Detka…it’s time to get up,” she nudges you, “My Omega…as much as I would love to stay in bed with you all day, we need to go to the compound.”
“But why??” you groaned, “It’s safer here….”
“Natasha is waiting for you there - she’s been preparing your room for you all evening and this morning, just for you, baby.” Wanda brushes a few strands of hair out of your vision, “You’re probably gonna be at the compound for a few days for some tests…that drop was intense, detka.”
“But-”
“Malyshka, they won’t be extensive tests, I promise…. Besides, you and Natasha still have yet to meet. She’s dying to meet her precious Omega. ” Wanda hands you her red-cased phone, already opened to her text messages. At the top, the name reads, ‘Alpha<3’. The letters start from 8:03 up until 8:49 am, “Read them…Natasha can’t stop talking about you; it’s adorable.”
You hesitantly look at the messages.
“How’s she doing?”
“She’s asleep in my arms. She is so peaceful when she has someone to hold onto.”
“:( I’m so jealous of you…wish I could hold her right now…it’s so cold without you here; blankets aren’t doing anything.”
“Awwww, don’t worry, Natty…we’ll be heading over there when she wakes up a little bit; probs needs a coffee run to get her running.”
“Hopefully soon…I need to see my pretty girl up close and personal. That pic is only so much. I want to hear her voice, feel her warmth on my body, and fall asleep with her in the middle of us.”
“I bet she’s so warm and snuggly.”
“She is. She’s like a big ol teddy bear!”
“I love her so much already. When we return, Pietro and I will be out on observation duty, sooooo you’ll have her all to yourself! :D”
“>:) All mine…for the whole day? I CAN’T WAIT!!!”
“You’re gonna love her!”
“I already do!!!”
“Awww. I know she’ll love us both so much! Can’t wait for you to meet her!”
“Well, I oughta get back to getting her room ready…gonna give her some of my shirts and hoodies to wear when she gets here - don’t want anybody going after her.”
“Throw in some of mine, too, please?”
“Of course, my Alpha.”
The conversation ends there.
Your heart begins swelling with adoration at your other Alpha’s pining and gushing over you, even if you have not met yet. That will soon change. From what you have seen, Natasha is doting and more protective than Wanda, maybe? You could not glean much of her personality from the texts; however, you will meet her soon.
“Okay…I’ll go; when will the tests be?” you scented Wanda, rubbing your face against her glands.
Wanda is pleasantly surprised. She thought you would not scent her for at least a while, “Tomorrow,” she mumbles dreamily, quickly dismissing your question to focus on something arguably more important, “You scented me!” she giggles. Her giggle makes your stomach flutter with butterflies.
“Yeah,” your voice was small, “You did so much for me yesterday. I have never felt loved in any capacity before…, and you showed me how great it is to be loved by someone.”
Wanda’s heart broke. ‘Never felt loved in any capacity before,’ that heartbreak showed through her deep, sorrowful frown. A whimper escapes her, “My poor baby.” It told her everything without you explicitly saying who or what hurt you deeply.
“It’s okay; I’m safe now.” you reassured your Alpha, “Right then, should we get ready?”
You and Wanda grabbed coffee at the same shop you and Kate went to Yesterday morning and then went to a private place to be picked up in a jet.
Soon enough, you arrived at the compound - just a few miles outside NYC. It wasn’t terribly busy; no Avengers could be seen walking out and about the compound. In fact, the place appears deserted, save for a few vehicles parked outside the main building, including a motorcycle.
“Finally, we’re here!” Wanda cheered, hugging you as you finished off your coffee.
Instead, you don’t say a word and firmly grasp Wanda’s hand, silently telling her you’re nervous about entering unknown territory. Wanda gently squeezes your hand, reassuring you you are safe with her.
Wanda sends a quick text.
“Hey, we’re here! :3”
“Yay! I’m still up in her room, be right down!”
“She’s still upstairs; she’ll meet us at the front!” Wanda leads the way with you falling behind.
Of course, your mind is swirling with negative thoughts at such an important event. Nothing new, just the same old, “You aren’t worthy enough for love.” It’s becoming easier to ignore since Wanda came along and offered constant reassurance that none of those things would ever happen. You wish you could be rid of your self-deprecating thoughts and your mother’s words, but they linger, slowly rising back to the surface.
You stare blankly as you and Wanda move closer to the compound’s front door, only to be greeted by a sweaty, hunky Alpha: Natasha.
Natasha is stunning, to say the least. Her white tank top tightly clings to her torso, exposing her abs and muscular arms to the morning sun; the sweat glistens on her skin. Her blue jeans perfectly fit her, accentuating her luscious toned thighs and ass. Curvy and muscular, they fit into one sexy package.
Her expressionless face immediately turns into a joyful grin upon seeing you behind Wanda, “There’s my Omega.” she says under her breath.
You are stunned by her beauty; your jaw drops when you see how muscular she is, “Holy shit.” were the only words you could muster. Wanda laughs heartily while she lets go of your hand, gently pushing you toward the 6’2 goddess striding over.
Natasha quickly unties her messy bun and lets her blonde-tipped red hair fall past her shoulders. A wave of sandalwood and coconut wafted through the still air, and Nat’s scent became stronger the closer she got. It was strong but not as intense and sultry as Wanda’s, more like an easy-going but bold scent, arousing.
Natasha approaches and looks you up and down, licking her lips hungrily, “ Mate .” her blue eyes appeared primal, the Alpha in her just stirring just below the surface, “ You’re mine, mine. No one can ever have you but us.” Natasha embraced you and growled those words into your ear.
Affection was nonexistent all your life, and to have so much all at once was a bit overwhelming. Too much, in fact. Your breathing becomes shallow and quick, “Need space.” With that, Natasha lets go.
“Honey? You okay?” Natasha's lips curl into a slight frown.
You begin collecting yourself, “Sorry…never been loved like this before.”
Natasha brushes a few locks of your hair behind your ears and smiles softly, “You don’t need to apologize, my Omega. I understand if you need space.”
You hum with approval, grabbing both of Nat’s hands and pressing a kiss to a knuckle on both, “Thank you, Al- Natasha.” you hesitated to call either of your mates by their titles. Sure, they call you Omega whenever, but for you to call them ‘Alpha’ requires you to completely trust them. Wanda may have cared for you while you fear-dropped and cuddled you when you slept, but your mind simply could not let you call them their titles so freely. For you, they had to truly earn it, your love.
“Of course, my Omega…ready to go to your room? I made it all cozy for you; you’ll love it!”
“You’re so sweet, Natasha! A room all for me?” you cooed as you nuzzled Natasha while she took your arm in hers.
“Wanda told me a few things…I wanted to ensure you did not feel pressured into sharing a bed with us until you were comfortable. The last thing I want to do is pressure you into something you’re not okay with.” Natasha walks with you and Wanda into the compound, “Wanda, love, when is your observation duty?”
“In a few minutes,” the witch says sadly, “I suppose I should go…it pains me to leave you, my Omega and Alpha, but I shall return as soon as possible - hopefully before nightfall. We could maybe cuddle up and watch a movie together?”
You peck Wanda’s lips, nodding happily, “I’d love that!”
The redhead’s eyes lit up with anticipation, “Yay! Alright, I will see you later, detka…you be good for Tasha, okay?” Wanda sighs as she leaves, mumbling, ‘I miss her already, fuck observation duty.’
As you watch her walk away with her head hanging low, you feel your stomach growling and nagging at you. Right, coffee is not a meal. Some actual food would do you some good right now; anything is better than iced coffee. It is noon, and everyone here has eaten; maybe there are leftovers? You pout at the rumbling of your stomach, whining at the lack of food in your system - you have not eaten since last night.
Natasha notices your odd posture and sad face and asks, “What’s wrong, baby girl? Miss her already, don’t you?”
You hardly nod; your eyes stare blankly at the grey corporate chic floor, “Yeah…but,” you sigh. The coffee has upset your stomach significantly, “I haven’t eaten today…getting a little hangry.”
Natasha grasps your hand and leads you out into the back area of the compound, “Wanda didn’t get you any food this morning? Wow, can’t believe she left you starving like this.” She feigned annoyance; she could never be mad at Wanda for such a thing. Natasha knew Wanda was eager to bring you home, and it was an oversight on her part, mainly focusing on keeping you awake, “You’re lucky that we just had a big cookout not long before you arrived, my darling…I made burgers; they might not be the best…Wanda usually does all the cooking, so I’m a little shabby. I hope my cooking satisfies you, darling girl.
“Can’t wait; I’m starving!”
“What would you like on it? I have a large assortment of toppings.”
You tell your Alpha what you want on your burger, sit at one of the tables, and await your Alpha's return. Surprisingly, no one else is around to spoil this special moment; the compound feels vacant, almost like a graveyard. Perhaps everyone has gone back into the main office to discuss Avengers stuff?
Natasha sits down and sets the paper plate in front of you, “Soooo,” Natasha rests her head on both of her hands, staring intently at you, “How are you liking us so far?”
“I’m starting to warm up to the two of you…which is honestly so foreign to me - to enjoy the company of Alphas. My mom tried her damndest to burn into my mind that my mates would hurt me in any way possible,” you confessed only a small portion of your past only because you didn’t want to trauma dump.
“Your mom hurt you?” Natasha wraps an arm around your shoulders in comfort.
“Yeah, only with her words…she never hit me, oddly enough. I ran away from her, so I won’t be seeing her anytime soon.” You leaned into the crook of your Alpha’s neck, “I have you and Wanda now. I’m safe here, I hope.” I hope?
“You are, my princess. I promise you this place is heavily secured.”
“Good, good. It’s just I’m afraid my mom will find me here somehow and hurt me,” you nuzzle into Natasha’s scent gland for extra comfort.
Natasha rolls her eyes teasingly, “How could a frail woman like your mom ever hurt you in a place like this?”
“She has her ways, believe me…she’s a threat if she wants to be,” you warned.
Nat kisses your forehead and you resume eating your homemade cheeseburger, silently agreeing to stop talking about your mother and enjoy each other’s company.
“Y’know,” you took a sip of water from the glass, “If it weren’t for Kate and Yelena…we would have never met.” It’s true; if you weren’t in the crossfire of the tracksuit mafia attack near your apartment, you would not be here having a fulfilling experience with your Alphas.
“Oh, yeah?” Nat raises a brow.
“Well, more like we would’ve not met if Kate had stopped breaking into my apartment to check on me every day.” you laughed, remembering all the strange times of night, Kate would unlock your door and place a platter of brownie cookies on your countertop and you would catch her every time.
“That…sounds like Kate, alright. She’s always been the Omega to make lots of friends…in the most unusual ways.” Natasha dreamily stares into your y/e/c eyes, happily humming in admiration as if she were already in love with you, and then continues, “I’m happy that Wanda found you - we’ve been patiently waiting for our Omega to find us, but it appears we found you first, imagine that.”
“Me too. Wanda made me feel so…loved and protected; it’s all so new to me, what with my mother and all.” Your head drops as you mention the harpy you call your ‘mother,’ “I honestly don’t feel like I deserve an Alpha, let alone two or any love whatsoever.”
Nat grabs your chin and tilts your head back up to meet her dazzling eyes, “You are loved, my dearest. You might not think it, but you are so loved, so incredibly loved. We will help you with overcoming this darkness together.”
You are touched by Natasha’s words of reassurance, and tears begin to form once more. For once in your life, something has begun to fill in the cracks of your heart, slowly mending it back together; surely your heart won’t completely return to how it’s supposed to, but now it can be filled with something indescribable, something completely foreign to you: love, a small puddle of love.
Shortly after lunch with Natasha and being medically examined, you were finally shown your temporary residence two doors down from Wanda and Natasha’s room. It is a cozy yet bleak bedroom: gray walls, a wooden laminate floor mixed with wooden bookcases, and a dresser. There isn’t much decoration, well…there’s hardly any except a poster of Tony Stark posing next to one of his suits on the wall opposite your bed, but that’s it. As you entered your room, you were immediately hit with the faint smell of roses and coconuts. Wanda and Natasha were in here, making sure their scent permeated your bedroom - you knew where it may be coming from too. The dresser. A dark red hoodie is on top; perhaps you should take it? Well, it’s your room; everything is yours, right?
By that margin, you quickly swipe the crimson hoodie and equip it. This is absolutely Wanda’s; the rosy scent and the baggy, lazy aesthetic gives it away; wearing it is oddly soothing, like…being hugged? You weren’t sure.
“Aww, I knew you’d like it; Wanda wanted me to give it to you as a welcoming gift - it’s her favorite one!” Natasha grins gleefully, “Oh, I gave you some of our old clothes since you’re gonna be here a few days; I hope they fit you.”
“You two are such sweethearts!” you swooned, “I’ll definitely be needing these, thank you.”
The Alpha blushes at your appraisal, “Of course, my Omega, anything for you!”
For some strange reason, you don’t feel giddiness or any happiness bubble within you. Your mind feels…empty and also sad. It’s as if there’s some sort of blockage keeping you confined. Why? Mother is far, far away where she could never hurt you again, yet you can’t move past the gloominess of your past. An unresolved piece of your history prevents you from fully loving your Alphas.
Your face goes from an appreciative, happy one to a full frown, and you look down at the floor with pain that dulls the luster in your eyes, “Y/N?” Natasha furrows her brows in confusion at your change of attitude, “What’s wrong, baby? Something on your mind?” You hated to sour a happy moment, especially one of the very few you have had in your life.
With a defeated, tired sigh, you place yourself on the edge of the charcoal gray-coated bed and pat the space next to you, "I wish my mom loved me as much as you two do now…wish my dad was still around. I think my mom broke the bond between them and kicked her out just so my mom could isolate me from the world."
Natasha wraps an arm around you in assurance, “I’m happy that you’re here today, my Omega, and not trapped within her home anymore.”
“Me too. Still, I wonder what happened to my father after she was booted out, hmmph.” You thought of the possible whereabouts of your father after she was booted out. Your father is a female Alpha, and so she could have found another mate by now - it has been years, “I…I need some time to think about all this. Can I have some time alone, please? I need answers.”
Natasha nods in understanding, flashing a quick half-smile, patting your shoulder before standing up, “Of course, my Omega, but first, you need to know about FRIDAY.”
The Alpha teaches you simple commands like locking the door and restricting access, amongst all other things. Natasha leaves the room, and you tell FRIDAY to lock the room behind her and allow no visitors.
Now that you’re all alone, you grab your phone and scour the web for your father’s name to see if she has a Facebook profile or something that indicates that she’s still around, “You gotta be here somewhere, father, there's no way you’re completely gone.”
Do you remember your father’s name? Let’s see…no, all you remember is that it starts with ‘A’ and the fact you share a last name with her.
Was it Anne, Augustine, Ava, Abigail, or Addison? Her name sounded like a great-grandma’s name. Perhaps she was named after a novelist? That was a random thought that kept popping up. You had not tried your last name yet; maybe that could work? Strangely enough, your mind has hyperfixated on finding your father on a first-name basis. Curse your brain, indeed.
“What the fuck was her name? It’s on the tip of my tongue…*sighs* I guess my last name will have to do, even if I don’t get the rush of serotonin from finding out her name.”
Now, you hesitantly type in your last name on Google. There’s a reason why you did not want to type it in…because your last name has a bit of history with the Avengers. Within ten seconds, you typed in ‘Harkness’ and pressed enter. Instantly, you’re greeted with something you had not expected - an obituary for a certain Josephine Christie Hemmingway…your mother.
Your eyes completely widen in shock, “What…no fuckin’ way….”
You click on the link to her obituary and read it aloud: ‘Josephine Christie Hemmingway passed away on February 15th at 6:28 pm, just before she ate breakfast. She was a waste of space, a terrible wife, and an even worse mother; even garbage had more use than her. Josephine died of acute respiratory failure and was found lying face-down on the floor with a bottle of whiskey spilled on the carpet…what a waste of whiskey. She is survived by her ex-wife and her daughter, who vanished one night, Y/N.’
Down below the obituary, there was a phone number with a message and a signed name next to it, ‘Y/N, if you find this - please call me…I miss you so, so much.’
“My dad has been looking for me this whole time?” you put your phone down on the bed and lie down, staring at the blank white ceiling in silence at the revelation. Your mom is dead. Gone. Was your fleeing from home what drove her to the edge, to drink herself asleep every night? Probably. You needed to consult somebody about this and what you should do. It’s unsatisfying, really - to have the person who has hurt you all your life die before you could return and chew them off, cursing them for how they treated you, “FUCK!” you yelled, “THIS ISN’T FUCKING FAIR!”
It wasn’t, but what good would it have done if you did have one last chance to scream at her, to make her feel like the weak one? Nothing.
“FRIDAY, call Natasha and Wanda if she’s available.”
“Wanda and Pietro Maximoff are still out. However, Natasha is still around. Calling Natasha Romanoff to your residence.”
The only family you really had left was all the way across the US, leaving Agatha to be your only immediate family. You doubted your mother’s side of the family cared if Josephine died or if you existed. Whatever, at least Agatha has been looking for you all this time. It felt weird to hear that your father wants you…you have never felt wanted in your life up until you found your mates.
Natasha knocks on your door and you tell the AI to unlock it for her, “Milaya? You wanted to see me?”
You swallow the lump in your throat and beckoned her to sit next to you, “I need to talk…to both of you; it’s important.”
“It must be - your scent is pungent, so to speak, like saltwater…are you okay?”
“Not really. I found out quite a lot, actually. But I need both of you before I can talk about it.” you explained, sorrow evident in your voice, though you didn’t understand why.
“Wanda and Pietro should be back soon, would like to come downstairs and decompress. Maybe watch some TV?” Natasha did not sit down as you asked; rather, she extended her hand and helped you to your feet.
You shake your head ‘yes’ and follow the Alpha down to the living room, where Pietro is casually lounging and slurping on a smoothie with Wanda, who is nowhere to be seen.
“Wanda is on her way, Natasha. She lagged behind, well, I mean, I am very fast.” Pietro smirked as he zoomed across the room to greet you and your Alpha, “Oh? Who might you be? Never seen you here before.” he pointed at your nose curiously.
“Y/N…Natasha and Wanda’s Omega, you must be Wanda’s twin brother, right?”
“Mhm! I’m a Beta, by the way, just gotta throw that out there!” Pietro shakes your hand even though you didn’t offer to shake his.
Natasha growls at Pietro, one of warning to not touch what’s hers, without permission again. The speedster shrugs her off and nyooms back to where he sat, drinking his beverage without a care in the world. Wanda walks in through the backdoor, and her eyes light up when she spots you next to Natasha and waves.
“Wanda….” you say, “Us three need to sit down and chat.”
The redhead notices your somber expression, and her happy demeanor becomes solemn. Nodding, “What’s going on, my Omega?” Wanda looks at her twin, who, upon hearing those words, understands what is transpiring and promptly leaves.
“Well,” you and Nat sit next to Wanda, you are in the middle of them, “To catch you up to speed, Wanda: I am having some mental blockage and it involves my mother, of course. My mind refuses to let go of the pain and the years of being unloved, and because of that, I can’t…love you both until I get this resolved.”
“Okay……” Wanda blinks, “What do you plan to do, detka?”
“Well, I originally planned to find her and confront her, but, uh, fate,” you pull out your phone, “Says otherwise.” You take a deep breath in and release it, “My mom…passed away about three months ago on the 15th.”
Your Alphas look at one another in disbelief; finally, the demon that was your mother is finally gone from this world, burning in hell for her crimes against you. However, you weren’t finished, “I found her obituary and it says my dad is still alive somewhere.”
Nat squeezes your thigh, “You want to find them?” her voice is quiet, almost like the wind.
“Yeah, my mother broke the special bond between them and booted my father out. My dad was forced out of my life, and at the bottom of Josephine’s obituary, my dad left a message for me in case I wanted to reconnect, ‘Y/N, if you find this - please call me…I miss you so, so much,’ but here’s where you might get…angry.”
“We would never be angry with you, detka. You are our Omega. We will stay by your side forever, always.” Wanda reassures.
All you could do was peck her cheek, to which the redhead squealed with delight, “She left her name signed at the bottom.”
“What’s wrong with that, honeybuns? Your father wanted you to remember her name; I think that’s cute.” Nat squeezes your hand to comfort you as she feels your hand beginning to shake.
“I shared her last name, and even after she left, I still took her name with pride. I never took my mom’s maiden name after the divorce; I could never be one of the Hemmingways, ever; they never cared about me or my situation.”
“Oh? We never learned your last name come to think of it. Are you comfortable with sharing that with us? If not, it’s totally okay; we won’t pry any further.” Wanda promises on her life.
“I don’t want to, but…it needs to be addressed,” you pause and take a drink of water from the table and put your phone back up to your eyes, reading aloud your last name to your mates with fear covering your voice, “My last name is……Harkness. My father is Agatha Harkness.”
They did not see that coming.
Wanda and Natasha sat dumb and unmoving, staring blankly past each other at the revelation of your heritage. It’s impossible. You are so different from the witch, they thought. The last time they encountered Agatha was three years ago when she caused a disturbance in a small town looking for someone who turned out to be you. It makes their stomachs churn with uneasiness. You figured they would react this way - frozen in place with their minds trying to make sense of the information.
“It’s a lot to take in….” Wanda speaks after a moment.
“Mhm,” you nod, “Who would’ve thought?”
“What do you want to do, Omega?” Nat asks, pulling you in for a comforting side hug.
You rest your head on her shoulder, sighing, “I dunno…I- I want to reach out, but this is all so much so soon.”
“I’m sorry, sweetheart,” Wanda frowns, squeezing your hand in reassurance, “We’ll be right beside you every step of the way.”
Despite the revelation of your genitor and her history with your mates, you are relieved they did not leave you like your mother said they would. This shows they are committed to you, no matter who your parents are or how things might play out should you visit Agatha. You’re happy, even if for a split second.
A happy hum then follows, “I’m gonna wait a while before I call her; I need some time to adjust to,” you gesture around you, “All of this, my new life, and with what’s going on up here,” you point to your head, “Most importantly…I want to spend time with you before even considering talking to my father about everything.”
“I was about to say...it would probably not be a good idea to call Agatha right after such emotional turmoil,” Natasha commented.
“Yeah. I’m going to give it a few days, maybe a week?”
“Whenever you’re ready, detka, we’ll go with you if you want us to,” Wanda affirms.
“Thank you, both.”
“Heyyy!” Kate answers after two rings.
“Yo!” you replied.
“Sooo, Yelena told me a few things….” Kate held back her excitement as if Atlas held the earth.
“Uh huh,” don’t think about it too much, “Wanda and Natasha are my mates, could you believe that?”
“I heard! How exciting! Two mates, that’s really rare, you know? You got so lucky; I can’t believe the little hermit found her Alphas!” Kate is lying flat on her stomach, swinging her legs back and forth.
“Me too, to think it all happened 'cause Wanda came over earlier than she was supposed to,” you laughed.
“Glad she did! You like them so far?”
“At first, I was sketchy of Wanda, but she helped me through a fear-induced drop and comforted me. I felt loved, which is honestly a first.”
“Awww, glad you enjoy her company! What about my Alpha’s older sister? I never really interacted with Natasha any time she was over.”
“She’s very tall and muscular…that was the first thing I noticed about her.” you bashfully admitted, blushing red at the confession, “Like, I swear I nearly drooled when she walked out the compound.”
Kate cackles on the other end, “Adorable, you’re adorable.”
Your blush becomes even redder, “Shut up!” you bury your face deep into your pillow.
“It’s okay to think your mate is ultra hot, dude! I was the same with Yelena: thirsting over her figure when I approached my heat- oh.”
You jolt off the bed, “I was admiring her physique; she has trained and strengthened her body well.” You didn’t pay enough attention to what Kate had said, only bothering to defend yourself…for some reason.
“Mhm, didn’t you say you drooled over her?” Kate teases.
“I- I, yeah….” You sighed in defeat, “I’d take a bite out of her.”
“They’d like a bite of you, too, in more ways than one, heheh.”
“Ohmygosh, KATE!” you stuffed your face with the pillow.
“It’s so true, though. I know Wanda-”
“Shush!”
“Alright, alright, I’ll let off the pedal.” Kate eases her teasing for the time being.
“Since you’re doing that, I must ask you something - it’s very important.” You quickly regained composure and switched to a more serious tone. It was time to ask your best friend a massive favor.
“Oh?” Kate raises an eyebrow, “What’s up?” The archer adjusts herself to a more comfortable position.
You take a deep breath in and then out, “I need you to look into someone, find where they might be. I can’t move forward mentally until I find them.”
Y/N, you really should not go searching for your mom, not after what she did to you. Please reconsider-”
“My dad. I want you to find my dad. My mom passed away months ago, and my dad wrote her name at the bottom of the obituary, basically begging me to call her. I just want some info on her.” You pull up the obituary on your phone and look over her name.
“Okay,” Kate rolls off the bed with a thud and finds her way to her computer, booting it up, “Gimme her name.
“Agatha Harkness.” you reluctantly informed.
Kate squints at her computer, the darkness of her room being solely illuminated by her computer’s bright blue light strained her eyes, “I feel like I’ve heard that name before…was she like Wanda’s opposite?”
“I’m not sure; I never really knew my father. My mom broke the bond and booted her out while taking full custody of me.” You sorrowfully said, “I wish my dad had me instead; maybe I would have turned out better, maybe not have this stupid mental block.”
“It’s okay to be angry about it. I know what it’s like to have a parental problem, and I’m here if you want to discuss it more. But don’t be afraid to reach out to your mates, Y/N; they are there for you, always.”
“I know…I’m still afraid somehow, and I don’t know how to ask or reach out to them. I’d hate to bother them while they sleep, maybe tomorrow…or the next day, or the next?” You were quickly retreating into your shell again.
“Noooo, they won’t mind you, Y/N/N. In fact, I guarantee they are wishing how their precious Omega was in bed, snuggling with them until they fell asleep.”
“How can you be so sure?”
“Believe me, Alphas only want their mates once they find them, always wanting their Omegas right next to them. I highly doubt they’d roll their eyes at you this late at night.”
“If you say so….”
“Not right now; I’m not tired.” You groaned.
“It’s 1:30 in the morning. You need the sleep!” “I’m good, and I already tried; it’s just so uncomfortable. Well, I mean, everything here is top-notch and great for sleeping and all, but I can’t sleep, ya know?”
“What have I told you about consuming caffeine hours before bed?” Kate asks seriously, her brows raised in both disappointment and frustration.
“Don’t.” you answered, “I haven’t even had coffee or anything like all day. Been too busy stressing out over my parents.” You wish you had some coffee in hand right about now, you could be doing some art to distract yourself, but you didn’t bring your tablet.
“Good, ‘cause you need sleeps!”
“But I can’t. I’m tossing and turning. Not even Wanda’s hoodie or any of their old clothes surrounding me is doing fuck-all!”
Kate simply smiles with a hint of mischief sparkling in her light brown eyes, “Oh? You have their clothes around you? Awww, you made a makeshift nest!”
“Wha-”
“Listen, you have had a rough day…why don’t you go cuddle with them? Ya know, a cute little cuddle puddle?”
“Tempting, Kate, but I- I’ll fall asleep here in a few minutes,” you let out a fake but somewhat convincing yawn, “Oh! Did ya hear that? I think it’s time for bed.”
“Do what you will, Y/N,” Kate yawns loudly, alarming Yelena, who is a light sleeper, “You’ll find yourself at their bedroom door without even thinking.”
“Kate. Bed. Now,” Yelena growls lowly in her open ear.
“Okay, I’ll be there in a jiffy! I hope you sleep well, regardless if you sleep with your mates or not; okay, bye!” Kate hangs up.
This is hopeless. Your bedroom has turned into an uncomfortable and uninhabitable sleeping space. Your body is restless, and you’re not sure why. The room was cold, but your bed and pillows felt too warm; hell, you swear you felt sweat form around your neck. You look at your phone’s clock to see it is nearing the devil’s hour, 3:00 a.m.
“I can’t take this anymore!” you yelled into your pillow, “I fucking hate it when Kate is right; she’s right about everything!” The scents imbued into the oversized clothes around were faint at best and not enough to soothe you to sleep. Were these clothes washed before you arrived, or were they lightly worn?
Annoyed, you leap out of bed and storm out of your temporary bedroom two doors down to Wanda and Natasha’s room, “I can’t believe I’m doing this…. Just this once, and then I’ll steal some of their favorite shirts and hoodies- oh, oh, holy shit.”
A realization dawned on you: as Kate prophesied, you subconsciously needed them.
“Nuh uh, no. I’m going back to bed.” You boldly said to yourself, unaware of the door opening and the hunk leaning against the doorframe.
“Hey, baby girl,” Natasha licks her lips, “Can’t sleep? Us either.”
Slowly, you turned around to face Natasha but could not look her in the eye. You swallow your creeping anxiety when you smell her tropical scent mixed with Wanda’s. They must have been cuddling one another in a vain attempt to fall asleep.
“No,” you pouted. You had other words you wanted to say, but they refused to leave your tongue.
“You’re adorable when you pout,” Nat smirks, “It’s a good look on you.”
You blushed at her compliment, “I made a nest, but it’s not doing anything for me - can’t get comfortable. I don’t wanna bother you and Wanda-”
“Yes,” she knew exactly what you were going to ask, “You can sleep with us!”
“Wha- I was gonna, this is embarrassing, steal some more hoodies and bring them back to my nest like a goblin filling up their hoard.”
“Oh,” Nat slumped her shoulders defeatedly, sad you won’t be filling the space between her and Wanda tonight, “Okay.”
Natasha sounded so eager to have you take residence in her king-sized bed, to hold you and cuddle with you for the first time, but it might just have to wait. Your Alpha stands straight up and is about to walk back into her shared bedroom to grab unwashed hoodies when you change your mind.
Your heart panged when her voice dropped to a murmur. It wasn’t your intention to hurt her feelings like that. Truth be told, the nest you made you more restless than you were without it. Their scents weren’t enough - you also required the warmth, can’t have one without the other, at least tonight, anyway.
“Natasha, wait!” you stopped her dead in her tracks.
Your Alpha quickly turns around, “Yes, my Omega?”
“I wouldn’t mind…sleeping with you and Wanda tonight. Ever since Wanda saved and comforted me through my drop, I realize I need you,” you confessed.
Your Alpha lights up like the pale moonlight shining through the window but much brighter, “Really?!” She’s as happy as a puppy dog. Natasha gently grabs you by the wrist and pulls you inside the bedroom, happily announcing to your other Alpha, “Look who’s joining us, Wands!”
Wanda looks up into the barely lit hallway to see your silhouette next to the towering assassin; she grins and laughs gleefully, “Yay!” Wanda pulls the center part of the blanket down and pats the empty space next to her, inviting you to snuggle and fall asleep between the two Alphas, “I’m happy you’re here, detka!”
Natasha presses a kiss to the top of your forehead and then lowers her head to your ears, “C’mon, my sweet, pretty girl, don’t be scared; we don’t bite, I mean, unless you want us to.”
You hop into bed with a push from Natasha and pull the covers over you after Wanda lays on her side and places her head on your chest. Natasha goes to the right side of the bed and does the same thing, except now her ear is directly above your heartbeat. Nat purrs at the sound and scents you after a few seconds, with Wanda soon following. Their combined warmth quickly breaks down your restlessness, gracing you with the blessing of drowsiness for the first time tonight.
“You both are so incredibly warm,” you praised, “But also never felt so comfy before.”
They were holding you like they were protecting you. “Better than being by yourself in a nest, huh?” Wanda nibbles your neck near the scent gland, which elicits a sharp breath from you.
“I can’t even imagine being alone anymore, can you, Wanda?” Nat closes her eyes while enjoying your heart fluttering at the praise.
“I can’t,” Wanda coos, “I feel complete now that you’re in our bed, my Omega.”
“I agree! She’s like…a teddy bear, an adorable and lovable one at that.”
“You two are so sweet! I feel safe in here…I’ve…never felt safe before until now,” you confessed, “Now I know for sure that I’ll have people have my back when I visit my father here in a few days.”
Natasha props herself up with the arm beneath her, brows furrowing, “Visiting Agatha so soon?”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea, malysh? ‘Cause, she was a real troublemaker for us a few years back, and I don’t want her to double-cross and hurt you as your mother did.” Wanda voices her concerns about this upcoming encounter.
“I’m having Kate locate her in case she wants to start some shit. I don’t know what my dad is like beside your bouts with her.”
“Well, we can tell you the full story tomorrow when we wake up and have breakfast,” Natasha lays back down on your chest, “For now, I wanna cuddle my precious mate and sleep.”
“Me too,” Wanda adds, “I enjoy your company in our room, my love.”
“Aww, I love you two, too!” you kiss both their foreheads, closing your eyes as the drowsiness pulls you under.
“You love us!” Natasha squeals with delight.
“Wonderful!” Wanda peppers you with kisses, “Love you so much!”
Kate managed to escape Yelena’s grasp and hop back onto her laptop to research Agatha’s possible whereabouts. She found a hint after one Google search, a witchy shop in New Jersey in a small, unassuming town known as Westview.
In your dreams
“Your Alpha will never love you.” Josephine mocked, “Look at how I turned out; your dad thought so low of me that she broke the bond between us and left. That’s what’s probably gonna happen with you.”
You broke the bond and threw her away.
“I loved you so much I ensured you would be safe from her.”
You hate me. I would have been safer with her.
“I didn’t expect you to turn out so much like her; it disgusts me. Wish you were more like me instead of that traitor.”
I’m glad I did; she gave me good genetics. I only got the slightly okay stuff out of you. Thank fuck I didn’t inherit your dead grey eyes.
“I can barely look at you without wanting to vomit.”
Drink your whiskey and pass out already.
“One part of me really wants you to get hurt by an Alpha so you can see how I suffered!” Josephine took a swig of her whiskey, slamming the bottom of it onto the rickety table.
Always so cruel.
“Respond to me, damn you!”
I used to love you, mother.
“Little bitch, you know better than to stare off and ignore me!”
I can’t help but believe what you say about Alphas.
“I will make you speak; YOU WILL ANSWER TO ME!”
Deep down, there’s a sliver of hope that tells me everything you say is wrong.
Josephine delivers a quick but firm slap across Y/N’s face. She never gets physical.
I want you to be wrong so bad. With everything you have told me all my life, you have instilled this fear of Alphas into me.
“I wish you were never born,” she said calmly, a simmering fury barely contained behind pursed lips.
I wished you would have loved me.
“Maybe I could have been happy with my Alpha.”
Now…I’m not sure I’ll ever feel loved by a living soul.
Y/N had already packed up her belongings, at least what little she had, and thrown all her stuff in her car. Now, all she had to do was wait until she was free.
Josephine passed out drunk, and Y/N had urgently sneaked into her car, speeding away into the night, never to see her mother again in her life.
It is 7:30 in the morning, and clouds cover the rising morning sun making the sky become cornflower blue instead of a mixture of radiant rose pink, gold, and the signature color of the night. Wanda had begrudgingly torn herself away from you to make breakfast for you and the remaining crew. You, however, clung tight to Natasha as if you would lose her somehow while you slept. Your head nestled in the crook of her neck, and your arm wrapped around her waist - a small smile formed on Natasha’s lips as she lay awake. Writhing in their hold all night, they, in turn, held you close in case your body began to move sporadically or accidentally hit them.
Nat looks down at you, and her smile widens, “So beautiful, even in the morning.” Natasha kisses your hairline and whispers, “Love you so much, ‘mega.”
Barely awake, you grunt tiredly in response and resume your sleep. Your Alpha chuckles happily, “Okay, you may rest a little longer, sweet pea…but when Wanda calls us for breakfast, I don’t want to drag you down there.”
“Mmph.”
“Adorable.”
Only a few people are within the compound; most have moved out since the big world-ending threat was vanquished a few years ago. There was Pietro, Wanda, and Natasha left; others would visit to check up on sensitive info. Yesterday, Wanda and Pietro accompanied Steve and Bucky on an observation mission while you were with Natasha. Tony had stopped by a bit ago to check up on the tech and some shipments. The medical wing had doctors treating some of the lesser superheroes. Once in a while, Yelena and Kate would take residence here and annoy Natasha to near death. Undoubtedly, they would stop by and see how you like it here.
You would not be here for much longer, as you would call your dad for the first time in years and probably meet her shortly after.
Wanda quietly opens the bedroom door and slides inside to see you and her Alpha cuddling, “You’re both so cute together,” she grins, “Breakfast is ready!”
Nat stretches her legs and slowly removes you from her body; much to your dismay, “We’ll be right down, Wanda. I gotta convince her to get up first.” The more she moved, the more you whined.
Wanda’s heart swells with happiness at your unconscious clinginess to her other Alpha, “Didn’t expect her to be like this so soon!” she laughs. The witch walks over to her bed and crawls toward you, “Time to get up, ‘mega.” she nudges your shoulder.
“Noooo.”
Wanda uses her magic to pull open the curtains to let some natural light shine on your face, “Time to eat, detka.”
“Just five more minutes!”
Natasha simply pries your arms off her and leaves the comfort of the bed she shared with you, leaving you suddenly cold and upset at the lack of contact, “C’mon, babe, Wanda makes the best breakfast!”
You wouldn’t move until you felt your stomach rumble, “Fine,” you drawled.
Slowly but surely, you got up and followed your Alphas downstairs and into the dining room, where a plate of pancakes, eggs, bacon, and a buttered English muffin awaited you. Wanda had taken note of the coffee you liked and brewed you a cup. As you began more awake, many thoughts resurfaced, ‘Where is my father?’ ‘Where are my mom’s ashes?’ ‘I’m surprised my father remembered me after all this time.’ ‘Wanda is adorable when she smiles.’ ‘But for real, where did my father go off to?’
Today was the day you would call your father, Agatha, and see about meeting up with her sometime soon.  For now, you would spend the morning with your Alphas and get to know them even more. You hardly knew anything about the Alphas you are mated to, nor did they know much about you. A part of you did not want to open up to them. Sure, you said you loved them last night, but saying you love someone and them saying it back does not cure the pain you’ve endured, and there was a lot to overcome before you could trust them with everything about you. For now, they’ll know the little things.
“So,” Natasha starts, “What sort of things do you draw? Wanda told me you drew.”
“Yeah,” you scratched your head nervously, “I mostly do what my fans and other patrons pay me to do… except like explicit stuff, that ain’t my thing.”
“Oh, very nice! How long do they usually take you?” You had Natasha’s full attention as her eyes never left your face.
You are quite happy someone in your life, besides Wanda, who asked you similar questions back at your house, cares about what you do for a living and as a hobby.
“It honestly depends, usually more than two weeks…I dunno, like it depends on what they want me to draw.” You explained simply.
Wanda returned from the sink, cleaning her plate and silverware, “She’s really good at what she does; she showed me a few on her tablet!”
You blushed madly at the praise from your Alpha, “You’re so sweet.”
You found out quite a few things from your mates over the course of a few hours. You learned Natasha spends much time practicing martial arts, yoga, and building stuff. She recently built a shed filled with gardening tools, a lawnmower, and two toolboxes. Nat has also made improvements around the compound in an effort to make it more homely rather than a bleak gray fortress. Wanda loves playing board games with her brother, reading, and gardening when her plants are in-season. She mostly plants flowers and occasionally some veggies she likes.
After spending the day with your Alphas and grabbing dinner at a local diner, you figured calling your father might be a good idea now while it’s still light out.
“When we get back to the compound, I think it’s time I-” you swallowed, “You know….”
Wanda and Natasha nod, agreeing, “Need some time to yourself?” Wanda asks.
“Yeah,” you said, “It’s time I call Agatha - I’m so nervous about what might go wrong.”
Wanda suddenly holds your hand and squeezes tightly, then kisses your middle knuckle, “It’ll be okay, Y/N. We are here for you and will help in any way we can, okay, detka?”
“We love you, Omega.” Natasha kisses your cheek, which makes you blush.
“Thank you, truly.” You get off the couch and head back upstairs to your bedroom, where you hesitantly pull out your phone and search up Josephine’s obituary, scrolling down to the bottom to find Agatha’s number.
You hesitantly type in her number, and before you can press the call button, you find yourself unable to do it. Only sitting and staring blankly at your phone screen with your thumb hovering over the button, “I should do this tomorrow.” You said aloud, anxiety consuming every thought that came to mind, “But I know I don’t want to, but I should…get this done,” You sighed heavily, “Here goes….”
You grimace as you press the call button and hold your cell phone up to your right ear, waiting for Agatha to respond. It rang once before being immediately picked up by the other end, where a tired, middle-aged woman answered with a yawn, “Harkness House, Agatha speaking,” Agatha, your father, responded.
“Hi…um, this is gonna sound really strange, but…uh, I’m Y/N; I saw your message on my mom’s obituary and-”
“My daughter?!” She sounded confused yet delighted, laughing quietly on the other end, “You’re alive after all this time?”
“Yeah,” you meekly replied, “I was a bit shocked, to be honest, to learn what happened to my mother.”
“Me too, at the same time, though- I wasn’t. I was more worried about you all these years than my ex-Omega…how have you been since you ran away?” Agatha’s voice was full of a certain kind of sadness, a type where her heart had been lightly bleeding since the day her precious daughter was taken from her. Agatha had always been worrying about you since she was booted out.
“I’m okay; I’ve made a career out of drawing and painting - I’ve made enough to live independently and have some left over for personal stuff. I met a few friends and found my mates, who I’m still trying to understand.”
“Aww,” Agatha cooed, happy to hear everything was going well for her daughter after her escape, “I’m glad you made it out okay…what don’t you understand about your mates, dearie?”
“Everything.” you answered with a groan, “Josephine was…quite negative towards Alphas all my life, and now that I’m with two of them, I dunno what to make of it all. It’s all so much to take in after so many years of her. ”
“Take your time! Don’t force yourself to accept them just to make them happy, do it for your happiness.”
“I kinda already told them I love them…though I can’t help but feel conflicted about saying it like I meant it, also like-”
“You’re scared. It’s okay to be scared, hon. Love takes time; it could have been a spur-of-the-moment thing it could not have. They want to protect you - that’s all they want to do, Y/N; it’s in their nature to protect their Omega and nurture you- within your boundaries.”
You two talked for hours and had much in common, much to your surprise. At one point, you asked if you could visit her and when she was about to respond, a child had come up to her and begged for a snack, “Okay, dearie, one second, momma is talking to someone special!”
She had another kid? That means she probably found a new mate. Good to hear!
“You have another family?” you inquired.
“Indeed, I do. A while after I was booted out, like two years after, I found my new mate, Veronica. We had a few pups together. Our family, at least for me, wasn’t complete until I found you. I’d love to have you meet everyone!”
How about that? You have the grandest opportunity of having a family! Surely, Wanda and Natasha were technically a part of your family, but you needed this first and foremost to move forward with them into the future. They knew you needed this before they could get too comfortable with you.
“Yeah, that would be great!” you exclaimed, “When would be a good day?”
It’s been three days since that call, and you are preparing to head to your dad’s house; your bags are nearly packed for the few-day stay. You expect to stay over for at least five nights, depending on how it goes. Your Alphas fully support you but are quite concerned due to their history with your father and insisted they accompany you inside your father’s home, but you denied them and said this trip was personal business. It’s true; your mind needs closure to move forward in your relationship with Wanda and Natasha. You want to pour your love on them, hell, flood them with affection, yet you can’t; this bothers you so much it affects your dreams.
You still can’t quite believe it - Agatha had a whole family, and all the while, you were trapped with your so-called mother. If you were honest with yourself, having your father go on to have a happy life without you stung a lot. Couldn’t Agatha have pursued legal action against Josephine? You weren’t quite sure how the law worked with pups like you back in the day, but Agatha never came up to the door to take you home - your true home with her. You could have been loved all your life and grown up happier and unafraid of your two Alphas. She can’t be blamed, though; laws favor the Omega parent more than the Alpha parent.
Anxiety flowed through you like a roaring river, and you did your best to keep your head above the water. Throughout the day, as you were packing, you found yourself drifting to Wanda and Natasha for ease of comfort. In fact, at times, you would be snuggling them more than actually packing, and it was strange now that you started actively thinking about it. It was like every thought was clearer and straightforward instead of muddled and erratic like electricity. So that’s why you brought Wanda with you into your room so that you could focus on packing…until you realized how bad of an idea it was as she kept grabbing your attention. Eventually, you got packed. Natasha had also slipped inside your room while you zipped up your suitcase and backpack.
“Alright, I’m finished,” you said, zipping up your suitcase, “Feeling a bit hungry, what’s for dinner?”
Wanda and Natasha quizically looked at one another and made a series of facial expressions as if they were conversing without saying a word. Strange. Wanda turns back to you and says, “We might know a place you might really enjoy; it’s a diner where Nat and I went on our first date together…would you like to go?”
You giggled for a moment, “Is this your way of asking me out?”
Natasha grins and grabs Wanda’s knee, which makes its way up her thigh, “Yeah, we’d love to take you out, Omega. You know, since you’ll be gone for about a week.”
“I’m down! No funny business, you two!”
You remember this diner quite well - Yelena took you to meet up with Kate after one of your art contests. It is a 50’s themed diner with black-and-white checkered flooring, red booths, tacky metal chairs, and pop art displayed everywhere on the plain white walls. There was a bar of sorts filled to the brim with alcohol and the kitchen directly behind it. This place causes nostalgia of that day, the day when you broke out of your hermit shell and decided to give Yelena and Kate a chance to be your friends…you’re glad you did.
You were exhausted from attending the art contest, and Yelena already had plans with Kate at the diner but decided it would be fun to have you along to get to know you better.
“Sooo, where do you wanna go, Y/N?” Yelena inquired as she drove down the busy streets of the never-resting city of New York.
You looked out the window exhaustedly; your heavy eyelids threatened to close after such an eventful yet dull evening, “Ngh, I’m craving fried food…let’s go to our usual place.” you yawned as you finished.
“Tired of people, eh?” Yelena lowered her voice, trying not to irritate you.
“Yes…can we get the booth towards the back?”
“For sure, for sure. What’s next for my friend, Y/N?” Yelena immediately pauses, thinking about what she said, “Nevermind, you’re tired out of your mind to even think about it…sorry!” she laughed.
As Yelena pulls into the diner, she quickly mutters, ‘I hope Kate is wearing that sexy purple dress I bought her a few months ago,’  before pulling into the quaint little lot, unbuckling herself after parking her beaten-up pickup truck.
You unbuckle and leave the white truck, your dress swaying in the breeze while you walk towards the slightly run-down diner, lagging behind Yelena. Yelena’s scent hits you in small amounts; gooseberries, floral, almost grassy, too: no wonder Kate loses her mind when around Yelena. You wonder what your scent would do to your Alpha…would it drive them crazy, would they be all primal and protective of their precious Omega, or would it make them horny? Who knows?
As you and Yelena enter, you spot someone sitting at the back booth. Someone with long wavy brown hair and a purple dress adorned by a gold necklace. Upon seeing her light brown skin, you recognize this woman as Kate, who is waving aggressively, beckoning you two to sit down with her. Kate's bright smile lights up the whole diner; ‘Yelena got lucky with her mate,’ you thought.
Yelena grins like a fool and eagerly glides through the checkered floor with great pride. You, again, lag behind. Kate has already ordered you and Yelena your usual food and drink, which are still hot. Kate scoots towards the farther end of the booth, letting her Alpha sit next to her, and bounces excitedly in her seat. The other Omega in your group chows down on her cheeseburger, ignoring you and Yelena for a few minutes. The Alpha sips her water while you absentmindedly eat some fries. You appear downcast and quieter than usual, not bothering to start conversing with your trusted friends.
Usually, you would be going berserk over this diner’s fries, but you were not feeling it today. Yelena quickly notices your unusual behavior and points out, “Something wrong, Y/N?”
“Just a little, Lena…hmm, I feel…empty. Weird.” you shrugged it off, resuming your consumption of crinkle fries.
Kate nearly chokes on her Coke, almost spitting it out and giggling, “Oh, really?” Kate’s impish smile deepens.
“Yeah,” you said, “Is that a normal thing? I mean, my life is great, you know? Don’t gotta worry about paying bills, and I have some spending money, but I can’t shake the feeling that…I’m missing something.”
Kate looks down at her plate sorrowfully. Your Omega friend has undergone similar feelings before meeting Yelena, “I felt that way before meeting Yelena…maybe it’s a sign!”
You winced, “Nah…there’s no way a sign of depression could lead to true love, fairytale stuff, I tell ya.”
“I dunno, man…anything could happen in just a few days, you could find your Alpha, or you won’t. Tomorrow I’ll take you out somewhere nice, and we could, if you want, try to find your mate?” Kate suggests. She has your best interests in mind, but she can be a bit eager for you to find your one true love…or two.
“I don’t know, Kate…I- I have a commission to work on and-”
“Y/N. Your special someone could be there tomorrow…you never know if you don’t go.” Yelena had cut you off.
“Well, I’m just scared of finding my Alpha and what they’ll do to me. I’d rather not pursue an Alpha…like ever; let’s talk about something else, yeah?” you quickly drank your drink and shifted your eyes to the pop art.
Kate shrugged and offered a smile of reassurance, “Okay, another time then. How was the art contest?”
You paused your rapid, nearly feral consumption of overly salty fries, “Good, I got second place - got a decent cash prize at least, so I’m happy!”
“Oh, jolly good!” Kate wiped her mouth with a napkin, “I’m glad your art is getting you places!”
This turned out to be one of the best nights of your life, the first best being the day you escaped Josephine's house of horror. You and your mates got to know each other on a much more personal level than before, and you felt connected to them, albeit still unable to move past the mental block of not only reuniting with your father after so many years but also getting much-needed closure about everything in the years Agatha was gone. There was just…something deep within you that was irking you like a fly: what if this goes south? What if you can’t establish a relationship with Agatha and her family? Would things be too much to try and become a family with your half-siblings so late in your existence? Possibly. They are already a family; you would be suddenly dropping into their lives just to meet their dad, who was also biologically yours.
You brought up your conflicting and worrisome thoughts to your Alphas.
“It’s never too late, malyshka…though it might be difficult to adjust.”
“No matter what, our love, you will always be a part of our families. You will have Kate, Yelena, Pietro, and us as your family.” Natasha reassures.
“I know,” you pause as Wanda turns right, “I can’t help but dread what’s gonna happen, you know? What if Agatha and her family rejected me and threw me away, pretending I never existed? I’d fall apart into nearly nothing.”
Natasha, who is sitting in the back seat with you, replies, “We’d be there to help you stand back up, my love.”
“Again, you have us as family,” Wanda smiles, “You can always rely on us to have your back when times get tough; that is what family is for.”
You three arrive at the compound five minutes later and head upstairs into Wanda and Natasha’s bedroom, and you immediately strip out of your clothes and steal yet another one of Wanda’s hoodies, not bothering to put anything else on. The Alphas were quite pleased to see your figure, actually…more than pleased, you could say. You only wore Wanda’s hoodie and your undergarments to bed. Slipping into the middle, the two followed after equipping their pajamas and held you in their arms.
Here you are, a few blocks away from your father’s house, where you hope to find all the closure you need. You had decided to tackle this alone without your Alphas, but you had their numbers in case you needed to be comforted or saved in case Agatha reverted to her old ways. Natasha had tossed you the keys to her 2022 Black Corvette for you to drive; it was a smooth and cozy car.
You were feeling all sorts of things: anxiety, anger, sadness, and the tiniest glimmer of joy. All the answers to your burning questions were inside the faint yellow and blue house you were approaching. As you parked on the left side of the street where her house was, you spotted Agatha walking out of her home with a smaller woman leaning on the doorway, looking at your car.
Agatha, in turn, spots you and smiles warmly and waves.
You get out of your car and lock it before walking up to your father, unsure of what to say, “Hey.”
“You’ve surely grown, dearie.” Agatha gestures to the front door, “Come in; tea’s almost ready!”
The home looks like it's from the 80s - rustic furniture and a lot of browns, but it has the aura of coziness that keeps everyone happy. The house, upon entering, had the scent of sage and other herbs wafting about the dim white living room.
“Veronica, this is my other daughter, Y/N. Y/N, my Omega, Veronica.” Agatha introduces.
“Hi,” Veronica was a pale, skinny woman with dark brown hair in her 50’s, “Agatha has been dying to meet you again.”
“So I have heard.”
“You don’t have to worry about our pups until later; they’re out with Veronica’s family for the afternoon,” Agatha explains, “Would you like some tea? It’s gonna be a long talk, I can tell.”
Indeed it will be; Agatha terrorized a town three years ago looking for you, though that statement may have been false. You were still stuck with your mom back in your hometown then. Was Agatha attacking that town for a different reason? What business did she have with it; who knows? After all, Agatha was a supervillain to the Avengers and had tussled with them before. If anything goes wrong, they have your number and location - also, Pietro could come and speed you out.
“I’ll have some; thank you. Where do we begin?” you asked, “What happened to Josephine, and why did things go wrong?”
Agatha looks downcast and nudges Veronica to leave the room and grab the tea, “ She was the perfect Omega when we first met, so sweet, loving, and a goofy soul. Josey became rude, strangely toxic, and extremely paranoid as time progressed. I never knew why or how such a caring soul became…so terrible. In all my lonely 200 years of living, that was one of only a few things to have broken my heart, especially when she broke the bond and took me away from you. Everything was smooth riding until it just took a sharp turn and went down to hell; I truly don’t know what happened with her.”
The 200-year age was not a surprise to you; you knew she was a witch from way back when. It’s a bit sad that nobody knows why Josephine became what she was; she must have put on a mask to fool Agatha into thinking she was a normal person instead of the toxic monster she was.
“Damn.” You felt relief wash over you, “Where have you been, and what have you been doing…besides this?”
Agatha is consumed with thinking, “Well, I won’t lie, I reverted back to my old ways and hurt many people,” she said so casually, “I managed to open up a psychic/crystal shop downtown-”
“Did you try to get me back?” you spoke with a hint of harshness and worry, “Like did you-”
“There wasn’t much I could do, dearie. Believe me, I tried everything! The law favored Josey because she was an Omega and acted as the perfect mom in front of them, blaming me for being a bad dad, so I was not allowed to see you.”
Veronica places the tea cups on the table in front of you and Agatha and quietly announces that she will be upstairs to give you both privacy.
“She put a restraining order on me.” Agatha started, mindlessly stirring her spoon in the tea, “That’s when I could no longer visit you, let alone ever see you again. She gained full custody without a fight in the court, all because she was your mother.”
You took in a deep breath, now fully taking in the heaviness of this upcoming talk; this would not be smooth sailing for anyone - a storm of emotion was quickly approaching, threatening to tear down all the walls you constructed in your mind. Your emotions would begin to spill out into the world for Agatha to see and, soon enough, Wanda and Natasha.
“She hurt me.” Your eyes bore into the floor, desperately trying not to show anything, “She ruined so many things for me…I can’t even love, let alone trust them like, hardly at all. Her words haunt me, Agatha, and I can’t get them out of my head.”
Agatha frowns, nodding in understanding, and you continue, “I know they want to protect me and love me, but I just can’t.”
“I’m afraid all those years of her abuse will forever be with you; tell me, who are your mates? I’d love to meet them.” Agatha smiled slightly, offering a comforting hand on your shoulder.
You smirked at her words but found yourself conflicted - she has fought them before, and from what you have heard from Wanda on your date night, Agatha hates them, “Well, I, uh, well, their names are-”
Agatha crooks a brow and her lips purse, “Take your time, hon.”
“Wanda and Natasha.” You blurt.
Agatha’s face immediately drops, and a scowl replaces her warm, loving smile at the mention of the names of her enemies being her daughter’s mates, “Oh.” Then she becomes silent and pensive momentarily, ignoring anything you say.
Her enemies are your mates, your new beginning, your source of future happiness, your refuge when you were having nightmares of Josephine, and your family, whether she liked it or not. Agatha knew she would push you away if she could not accept your mates as a part of her extended family, but it was a lot to take in all at once. It was impossible for Agatha to ever treat Wanda and Natasha like loved ones; she would tolerate them at best…unless she could convince you they were not for you.
“I don’t think they will be good for you, sweetie,” Agatha said at last.
“Don’t.” you snapped, “I know how you feel about them, don’t try to tear me away from them.”
“Honey.”
“No. I’m here for answers about my mother, not your opinions on my mates. I know the shit you’ve done to those people in Massachusetts. You may be my dad, but that doesn’t mean you have earned my trust.” You have been waiting to say that since you learned about it. Some part of you was eager to hold her accountable for it, especially since she tried to persuade you to break the bond between you three. That also did not help with building a parent-child relationship; in fact, it made it worse.
“Fine, another time then,” Agatha huffed, “This talk isn’t over.”
“It is over; I’m not leaving my mates just so you can be happy.”
This was going to be quite the experience and the challenge indeed. Getting past your father’s ego is quite…troublesome.
It had been a long hour since you arrived to talk with Agatha. The atmosphere had become increasingly tense as the conversation shifted and emotions started to boil. Your words silenced Agatha, prompting her to give you a tour of the house to ease the tension. However, her tone remained flat, tinged with anger and disgust, leaving an unpleasant feeling lingering in the air. The father figure you had been eager to meet had turned out to be less accepting due to your relationship with her enemies. Seeing a potential parent-child connection begin to wither away before it could blossom was disheartening. A pit began forming in your stomach at the incoming loss. Nevertheless, you needed answers for everything about the past, so you pressed on anyway.
As Agatha guided you through the house, a sense of longing washed over you. You couldn't help but miss the touch, protectiveness, and warmth of your mates. It was a shocking revelation that even the simplest gestures of intimacy and comfort had become something you would miss so badly. You could never have imagined missing such closeness in the past, but now, its absence created an ache in your heart.
Eventually, Agatha led you to the back porch and invited you to join her. Seemingly out of nowhere, she remarked, "The family life is honestly great, you know? I'd really like to have you stay here for a while."
"I would, but..." you began but were interrupted by your father’s impatience.
"Let me guess... you'd rather live with your mates, huh?" Agatha's words dripped with venom.
"I've been hesitant to move in with them because I've only known them for a short time," you confessed, nervously scratching your neck.
Agatha's response could have been more supportive. "I don't think moving in with them would be a good idea. I mean, come on, they're a bunch of superpowered freaks, especially—"
"THEY'RE NOT FREAKS!" Your voice erupted, anger and desperation echoing through the air.
"Don't yell at your father," Agatha growled, her words laced with animosity. "How are they any better than dear old me?"
"They save people, Agatha. Wanda, Natasha, and Pietro help their community in ways others can't. You took lives for no fucking reason other than for sport." Your voice quivered with emotion.
"They've also caused harm," Agatha countered.
"But you did it with malice while they didn't," you retorted.
"That doesn't make them innocent," Agatha sneered.
Enough was enough. "You know what? I'm done." Rising from your chair, you forcefully pushed it back into place. "I thought you would accept the person I've chosen to be with."
"Then go ahead and leave, cry like a baby to them, just like the little bitch you are. They'll eventually abandon you, and then you'll come crawling back to dear old Dad," Agatha taunted, smirking.
Agatha's words mirrored the hurtful comments Josephine had subjected you to your whole life. Shocked, you stammered, "I... I'm sorry, what did you just say?"
"You heard me. If you're going to be mated to my enemy, you're no longer my child. You've crossed a boundary I can't accept," Agatha declared, her voice becoming dangerously low,
"I'm not going to reject them for anyone. They love me. Aren't you supposed to love me as my father, no matter who I love?" your voice cracked with a mix of sadness and defiance.
"Not when they're part of the Avengers," Agatha replied disdainfully.
"You can't control who I choose as my mates. Nature decided that I am meant to be with Wanda and Natasha for life, Agatha," you asserted.
Agatha huffed, her eyes dilating, "Well, nature paired me up with a toxic cunt who threw me away!”
"I'm sorry everything went horribly wrong for you, Agatha, but that doesn't give you the right to tear me away from my happiness,” you shouted.
"I'm trying to save you," Agatha pleaded, her voice strained.
"No, you're not!" you exclaimed, the pain of rejection burning through your veins. "You're trying to control me. You don’t love me; you just want me to become something I’m not!”
"I will not associate with someone who chooses to be mated to the so-called 'world's mightiest heroes.' Do not return here until you've come to your senses," Agatha declared with finality.
A profound sadness settled within your soul, followed by a sudden wave of relief that felt like tears cascading down your face. "Fuck you! You're casting me aside like my mom did to you, right?"
At that moment, as your words hung in the air, laden with resentment and heartache, a connection that had once held promise crumbled before your eyes.
The best and only choice now is to simply walk away without looking back once at the sad excuse of a Father.
So, you did just that, walked through the living room and shambled to your Corvette. You scrambled for your keys in your hoodie pocket, immediately started your car, raced down the road, and decided to head for your apartment subconsciously. A part of you did not want Wanda and Natasha to drop everything they were doing to take care of a crybaby mate at a moment’s notice. Getting back to a familiar environment would be best to calm you down.
You had been crying and sniffling the whole trip to New York City but were aware of the road. The entire time, you pushed Wanda and Natasha out of your mind, only thinking of home, your home, the one you bought. Your apartment was only a few blocks away, and you would be safe and comfortable; that’s right, you were hiding back in your shell. Everything was overwhelming, the feelings writhing deep within, the tainted memories of Josephine, and the harsh negativity Agatha spewed caused you such pain and heartache you craved to be wrapped up in your blankets, binge-watching Youtube videos. It was the number-one go-to for comfort. You did miss your mates, yet you missed your apartment and all your drawing stuff. You weren’t going to be here too long, though. There was something you had to do first.
You exit your car and head inside through the lobby and to the elevator, where you press the seventh-floor button. The door closes and begins moving upwards, that is, until it stops on the fourth floor, and a familiar brunette steps in; Kate.
Kate instantly notices your disheveled hair, red, puffy eyes, and overall dirty look; crumbs from a muffin clung to your hoodie, and a large coffee stain near the head hole. She looks you up and down, “You look like hell, Y/N…what the hell happened? Is everything okay?”
“No,” your voice was weak from all the crying, the betrayal of the last remaining member of your family hurt like a bullet, “I- I need a nap,” you cried, “I want to shrivel up and die, Kate, I hate everything, Katie.”
Kate frowns and pulls you in for a tight hug, “It’s okay,” her hug was quite lovely, but it’d be even better to have Wanda hugging you instead, “Everything is going to be alright.”
“My dad threw me away! All because she hates Wanda and Natasha, and now she hates me too!” your muffled cry breaks Kate’s heart.
Just then, the elevator stopped at your floor, and Kate took your hand in hers, leading you back to your place. Meanwhile, Kate is texting Yelena about what happened, informing her she might be late for dinner.
“I’m so sorry, Y/N.” Kate let go of your hand and let you wander where you liked, “Do you need anything, maybe some coffee or something to eat?”
You had shambled to your couch and plopped down carelessly on it, half-laying down and half-sitting, “Mmmph, I only had a muffin that Wanda packed for me; that’s all I had in the past day. I’m not really in the mood to eat, to be honest,” you sighed into the couch’s pillow, “Everything sucks, Kate.”
“I can’t imagine what you’re feeling, Y/N,” Kate looks downcast, then gets lost in thought for a moment, contemplating what she could do to help, “Do you- would you like me to call Natasha?” she asked quietly.
“Yeah….” you respond with a whisper and a sniffle.
“Okay, okay.” Kate smiles. She’s smiling at your progress. You originally never asked for help from anybody, you were the ‘I need no help because I can do it myself’ kind of woman after being helpless for so long, and now you are openly asking for help in dealing with this tidal wave of negativity crashing upon your patchworked heart, “I’ll be right back, I urge you to drink some water, though.”
“Okay…fineeee,” you drawled as you headed for the fridge.
Natasha did not hesitate to bolt out the door and drag a befuddled Wanda directly behind. Wanda had only been told, ‘Y/N fled,’ and could not process the two words until they were racing to your apartment in the car. Natasha’s heart was pounding in her chest, and Wanda’s anxiety was shooting through the roof like a bottle rocket.
“Natasha, what happened to our girl? Is she safe?” Wanda’s doe eyes widened.
“Things did not go well at Agatha’s house, and she fled to her apartment in NYC. She’s quite upset from what Kate told me.” Natasha explained, too focused on the road to tell Wanda all the details.
“Oh no,” Wanda drawled, pouting, “Our poor girl, I had a feeling that something might go wrong!”
“Me too, but she needed to meet Agatha alone, Wands. There was nothing we could do to stop her, my dove.” Natasha spoke solemnly, “Part of me really wanted to just…follow her there and spy, but I want her to trust me; if I had done that, she would have never looked at us the same, and I can’t be havin’ that.”
“Yeah….” Wanda sighed, “I want her to trust us too; I hope she does; I just wanna hold her so bad. Our poor girl is probably scared out of her mind!”
“And incredibly upset, too; she probably cried a river on her way home.” Natasha frowned slightly, “Don’t worry, love, we’ll be there soon, and then you won’t have to worry about a thing.”
Kate sits at the opposite end of the couch from you, eagerly awaiting for Wanda and Natasha to arrive and help turn your deep frown into a bright smile - though she knew it would be a while before you would feel any sort of sunshine through the foggy weather of your mind, even with your mates present. It’s a lot to deal with, to be no longer considered one’s child all because of who you love.
You have been staring out your window for many minutes now, feeling nothing but emptiness and sorrow that has reopened old wounds. That’s all there is to your current mental state; your head is empty, nothing floating around in your noggin.
It’s baffling how your dad spent so long looking for you only to turn you away because of your relationship with two Avengers members. This was all for nothing; you got no answers about anything, just hatred thrown your way. Was the trip just one of Agatha’s tricks to abandoning your mates? Was this all a game to her to be her apprentice in evil? You would never know. There would be no seeing her for the rest of your life, and with that, you were content - she would not go out of her way to hurt you or attempt to ruin your life by force. All that’s left for you is to spend your life with people who love you unconditionally. For example, right now, Yelena was just informed of the situation and is sprinting up multiple flights of stairs instead of taking an elevator for her daily exercise.
“Hey…I…have…arrived,” Yelena gasped for air, “She alright?”
Kate looked at the front door just kicked open by her Alpha, staring wide-eyed in disbelief, “Yeah, she’s…okay, I guess. Why did you-”
Yelena looks confused, “You told me…she got rejected by Natasha?”
“By her dad,” Kate corrected, “She met with her estranged dad, and she rejected Y/N because of affiliation with Natasha; you really need to hear everything through, my Alpha.”
“My bad.” Yelena breathed a sigh of relief, glad she didn’t have to rain hell on her older sister.
Yelena shifts her eyes off Kate onto you, who is absently looking out the window with a pained but blank expression. Your y/e/c eyes appear hollow even under the sun as if your soul had retreated into you to wallow in despair at the wounds your father reopened. Yelena was unsure what to do to help; hell, she did not know what could be done to console you. Here’s the thing, nothing would be of great help but to be with your mates, who are speeding down the streets of New York City.
“They are on their way; I don’t think they want us here when they get here,” Kate paused and redirected her attention to you, “Would you want us to go, Y/N?”
You only nodded.
“Okay, we’ll see you later. If you need help moving out at all, let us know!” A small smile formed on Kate’s lips as she waved goodbye.
And then you were all alone in the world for a while. Nothing but silence and misery kept you company. Your mates are close, and soon, you won’t feel so alone but rather be loved and cherished by the two life has set you up with for life. And all they want is to kiss and hold you to ensure you are not alone.
As you were driving with tears flowing from your eyes, all you could think of was that night you spent in bed with your Alphas. They held you so close and tight. You felt safe with them, unafraid of the nightmares that haunted you ever since you fled Josephine’s house, and for the first time, felt loved and wanted.
You have moved to your bedroom and huddled up in a sea of blankets to hide away from the cold, cruel world outside the many layers of fabric. The faint warmth of your body heat plus the blankets is insufficient to soothe your soul from the crushing despair your heart was afflicted with. Your eyes were puffy and red from crying; damn it all, your body was aching too. You are tired, hungry, and cold on the inside. However, there is solace in all the sea of heartache and despair, your mates were on their way to help you the only way they know how. You wish they would be right by your side, but they’re not, which hurts.
They would be here soon enough.
“I just wanted to be loved, that’s all!” your mind swirled with peril, “I was so close that I could taste it!”
Rejection stings like a swarm of angry hornets. The burning remains a while after but eventually subsides. Right now, it burns like fire in your soul, and your mates are the relief to the pain. “She had pups while I was stuck with that devil! They got to grow up all happy and have such luxury while I suffered all my life; it’s not fucking fair!”
Sorrow floods your brain like a tidal wave with no reprieve, drowning you in despair, “Maybe I could’ve been a good sister to them, but no, my fucking dad threw me out like trash!”
They are entering the apartment building and heading up the elevator to your floor; Wanda pressed the seventh-floor button at least twenty times so that it might go faster. The witch paces back and forth while the Widow leans against the wall staring blankly at the floor, pondering the best way to comfort you. She only knows the basics of calming down an Omega, but not hers , all she knows to do is have you rest your head on her chest and release a wave of calming pheromones. Wanda knows precisely what to do and will probably guide Natasha along.
“I’m scared for her,” Natasha admits.
“Me too. It’s okay, my Alpha, we’ll be there shortly, and she will be in our arms again. Remember when she first cuddled with us a few days ago?” Wanda hugs the other Alpha.
“Yeah, she wanted to steal our shirts and hoodies for her nest. She ended up in our bed, and…we held her until the morning.”
“Maybe she would like that!” Wanda beamed.
“Maybe we could get her mind off it by doing a movie night. Perhaps order a pizza with some drinks and watch something Disney?” Natasha suggested.
“We’ll see; all these rampant emotions must be wearing our Omega thin...let’s talk about this later, okay, Natasha?” Wanda’s tone had become quiet and worried.
Natasha takes a deep breath, “You’re right. She needs us more than anything. Can’t believe her father rejected our Y/N; she has done nothing wrong.”
The door opens, and the two take no time in speedwalking towards your door and barging in without even thinking to knock. Upon entering, a foul scent of burnt popcorn hits their nostrils, making them gag purely out of instinct. It was worse than they thought; you were succumbing to despair and grief of an untold magnitude. You were losing yourself deep in the recesses of your mind - every thought you had was deprecating and sorrowful. Pain shot throughout your whole body, your bones ached, and your scent was close to repelling your mates. All your pain would be gone after they hop into bed with you. There would be no need to be afraid of anything happening next; they would be by you always.
Wanda leads Natasha to your bedroom door, stating, “She is in here.”
The two enter your room, where your blankets swallow you, and see the small lump resting in the middle. You remained unmoving, exhausted from the tidal wave of emotions that swept through you. Natasha frowns and moves to the closest side of the bed, gently moving the covers so that she can slip under them to reach you; Wanda ends up doing the same but urgently. The witch quickly picks up on your quiet whimpers and sniffling and hurries to you, embracing you in a warm, loving hug that makes you heave at the sudden contact. Natasha comes up behind you and wraps her arms around you, pulling herself toward you.
Wanda breaks the ice, “Detka,” her hot breath on your ear makes you shiver, “We’re here now.” The witch plants a kiss on your hairline.
“We heard what happened and came right away; you’re safe now with your Alphas,” Natasha says as she scents you.
You only respond with a low whine.
“Poor Omega,” Wanda coos, “You didn’t deserve any of this. You deserved lots of love unconditionally. We love you, malyshka.”
Your eyes were red and puffy from the hour of crying, and your throat was hoarse, unable to speak properly.
“Love you…too.”
“Omega,” Natasha nestled her head on your shoulder, “You don’t need to worry about her anymore. We’re your family now. You have me, Wanda, Pietro, Yelena, and Kate, who are here for you. We love you so incredibly much.”
“She had pups, and they lived happy lives while I was stuck with the devil I had to call mother. It’s not fucking fair!” You cried into Wanda’s shoulder, “I didn’t get to grow up a happy kid! I just wanted to have a parent in my life. That’s all I wanted!”
Their hearts were breaking for you; your mates could also feel the pain deep inside. Every cry that left your lips echoed in their ears, and every tear that stained Wanda’s hoodie brought her a twinge of deep sorrow. Natasha held onto you as tightly as she could, but not too much to the point where it would hurt you because the last thing she would ever do was hurt you while you were down.
“Honey,” Natasha whispered, “Focus on us, on our love, our scents, and our warmth. Let us shower you with our love tonight. I promise no one will hurt you tonight or ever again.”
“Together, when the time is right, we’ll have a family of our own. Our pups will be proud to call you their mama.” Wanda smiles, pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“You sound so sure….” You say absently as your vision has gone blurry from your tears.
“It’s a promise,” Wanda reassures, “We’ll be there every step of the way.”
Upon hearing her promise you these things, you begin taking in their love and support, taking in their combined scents and feeling a wave of love douse the flames of misery. Natasha kisses just below your jawline while Wanda gently purrs - you cannot hear it but can feel it rumbling through your body. Their words of assurance ease the aches of rejection, making you feel, for once in your years of living, accepted by people who do truly care. Wanda and Natasha deeply care for you and your well-being and are committed to you alone. The duo wants you to wake up each morning feeling loved and cared for - to make breakfast for you and make sure you are well-fed and hydrated.
Tomorrow, the two will help you pack your things and permanently bring you home. After hours of talking, you agreed to go home with them to be more comfortable having your stuff with you while having the love of your mates warm your hurting heart. However, Wanda did emphasize that you would need to nest in their bed as you did tell them you had been off suppressants due to Kate’s insistence, and it could come in about a week or so.
For tonight, you would rest in the loving arms of your Alphas, and if you just so happen to wake up, Wanda and Natasha have agreed to order a pizza or two and have a movie night. As you lay asleep, you cannot help but smile subconsciously - knowing that you are loved. It will take some time to fully embrace it, but you wholeheartedly accept them for everything that they are…your Alphas.

On the mountain, concealed by a thick fog and illuminated only by the faint moonlight, sits a manor resembling a prison more closely than a dwelling place. They say it's a special kind of hell where a certain creature, rumored to haunt the dilapidated mansion, is trapped by some magical force. At first, it seemed like nothing more than a myth, a tale to scare children into believing that the monster inside the manor would break free from its prison and eat them. But maybe there's more to it than just a scary story. Numerous hikers, explorers, and trespassers have gone missing and ended up dead a few miles away from it, their bodies drained of blood.
Through your research, you've uncovered some intriguing information about the possible cause of these killings. One particular rumor circulating around revolves around a noble lady named Katherine Bishop. They say she had vampire blood running through her veins from the moment she was born. As the story goes, after enduring years of neglect and being locked away in a cellar, she eventually broke free from her ‘prison’ at the age of twenty-one and went on a blood-drinking spree, feasting on the blood of her own family and their guests. According to the legend, powerful sorcerers from a place called Kamar Taj bound her to the mansion and about five miles of land using their magic. The five miles of land were granted in a bargain between Katherine and the sorcerers so that she could feed. Allegedly, Katherine Bishop compelled the sorcerers, with magic of her own, to give her the land so that she could feed.
To be honest, you're not entirely sure about all this, but one thing you know for sure is that nothing will deter you from uncovering the truth. You're determined to get to the bottom of the mysterious killings surrounding Bishop Manor.
Believe it or not, Bishop Manor is a popular town attraction; people go up the trail daily to look at it and take photos for their research papers or blogs on ‘Top 10 Scariest Places Ever!’ No one was allowed inside the manor due to its unstable condition, so it was only ‘open’ to the public for tourism. Many have claimed they spotted a pale woman standing near a few of the windows out front, and others claim to see a pair of glowing red eyes in the forest late at night. No one was to be at or around the manor or within the five miles explicitly shown.
A week after your initial research, you've prepared yourself as best as you can with the limited resources available. Armed with a headlamp, food and water, a first-aid kit, and, just in case vampires turn out to be real, a whole bunch of garlic and a stake, you set out under darkness. As you make your way up the trail, you can't help but notice the complete absence of wildlife. It's as if all the animals have vanished, leaving you alone with a swarm of unwelcome insects buzzing around, threatening to bite and suck your blood like little vampires. You shake off the thought, dismissing the existence of vampires and chuckling to yourself. ‘They can't possibly be real, right?’
The trek was not terribly long, only six miles away from town and hidden by some trees and the darkness of midnight. Yes, the land Katherine is allegedly stalking for food is one mile off of your town, meaning she, if she were still roaming the earth, could pick off your friends should they get too close. There is no way she would be dumb enough to get near civilization, so the forest would theoretically be her hunting ground. Something was hunting humans for food, but exactly what remains to be seen.
The weather was extremely out of the ordinary: despite being a hot summer, the mountain trail had become cold - not cool like a normal night but rather cold as if December had suddenly approached. A mist had blanketed the mountain, obstructing your vision for the remainder of the walk. Luckily, you knew where it was by memory; though the fog would dull your senses a bit, you assured yourself you would be fine either way. Something about the atmosphere tonight made you uneasy; perhaps the stillness in the air? The thick, impenetrable mist that clouds all eyes? Or is it the unending quiet that has come upon the land? It appears any sign of animal life has left; not a croak, growl, chirp, or buzzing could be heard. Many prey animals tend to flee when there is a predator around, and it is possible they were fleeing from you though there is that nagging feeling in your mind telling you it is not an animal. As an added bonus, you felt like you were being watched by someone…or something.
Glowing red eyes stalk you from the shadows, taking in every move you make. Little did you know that you were its prey tonight, and you would not be returning home. In the silence, it can hear your pulse and your blood pumping, the sound makes the creature go crazy inside, but it knows not to outright attack you like this. It is much smarter than that, yet it is terribly impatient for you to quickly enter its lair, its den where it intends to keep you.
As you progress along the path, excitement and trepidation intertwine within you. Finally, after a three-mile trek, you lay eyes on the infamous Bishop Manor, but something feels off. It appears even more weathered and worn than you remember from before. The once-majestic architecture now stands decrepit, with paint chipped away and the porch and steps partially caved in. Shingles lay scattered on the terrace, and the surrounding wilderness seemed to overrun parts of the mansion. Bishop Manor now stands as a hollow shell, a haunting reminder of the past.
As you approach the entrance, curiosity, and unease fill your mind. The thick fog enveloping the mansion adds to the eerie atmosphere, and you can feel the weight of its history hanging in the air. Part of you is drawn in, eager to explore the secrets hidden within its crumbling walls. But another part of you hesitates, cautioning you to stay away. With a deep breath, you take the plunge and step over the threshold. Every step you take is filled with caution as the floors creak, threatening to crumble under your weight.
The creature that had been watching you throughout your hike had snuck in through one of the open window sills and was waiting for you…somewhere.
Dust fills the air, and broken furniture is sloppily strewn about the main room floor. Shadows dance in the dim moonlight, and you can't shake the feeling that you're not alone. The silence is heavy, broken only by the occasional creaking of the old structure and the howling wind outside. Your headlamp has become incredibly useful now that you are out of the fog. Portraits of royalty hang off the walls - one is named, ‘Eleanor Bishop,’ and one right next to it is named ‘Jack Duquesne.’ Katherine is nowhere to be seen; unsurprisingly, there are no photos of the fabled woman anywhere; she was locked in a cellar for years until she drank her whole family dry, as the tale goes.
You could not help but feel bad for Kate in the story, to be locked away by her own family just because she was different. If Kate were still around, she would have been living all alone for centuries, and that would be damaging to someone’s psyche. Often enough, you felt alone and locked away from the world - you have always wanted to travel, but it was too expensive, and the job you had barely paid enough for rent and food.
“I’ve always wondered why nobody comes in here and cleans this place up so we could tour the place; there’s gotta be a reason, right? It would lose its magic even if this place was restored, and no one would come here.” You mumbled as you found a journal lying on a table, “What have we here?”
The journal was made and bound by leather while being incredibly clean despite the passage of time, which is highly unusual and concerning. You pan your head around to see if anything else is amiss. In the left corner of the room, you spot a few torn backpacks on the couch, immediately sounding off multiple alarms in your head. Your heart begins to pound like a freight train, and your mind race with thoughts telling you to leave. Someone has been killing the locals who traveled the woods and brought their belongings here. Yet, you persist and take a gander at each one - each pack was torn by razor-sharp claws and covered in what appears to be fresh blood that has only begun to dry up. It must have happened yesterday.
"Something is very, very wrong here," you whispered, your voice trembling. "This is... I didn't expect this to be a den of a serial killer... or whatever this is!" Your mind raced with confusion and fear as you turned around, contemplating reporting the incident to the police. However, you quickly realize that sneaking onto private property might land you in trouble.
Deciding to leave promptly and find a way to report these deaths, you froze as every candle in the mansion suddenly lit up all at once. The once dimly lit room was now fully illuminated, and you stood still, shocked and frightened.
You cautiously turned off your headlamp, trying to assess your surroundings for any signs of an exit or a possible weapon. However, your attention was drawn to a figure in the corner of the room – a tall woman with raven hair and glowing red eyes. She wore a blood-stained white dress whose make was of modern design; she probably killed some poor girl and stole it.
Despite your fear, you couldn't help but be captivated by her beauty, which only made her menacing aura more perplexing. "I can't let you do that, sweetheart," she chuckled, her voice sending chills down your spine. "It's not like anybody would believe you anyway."
Before you could respond, she lunged at you with astonishing speed, catching you off guard. You struggled to break free from her vice-like grip as panic set in. "W-who are you? Why are you here?" you stammered, trying to distance yourself from this woman.
She grinned, revealing sharp fangs that replaced her canines, and her crimson eyes glowed even brighter. "I could ask you the same, dear," she retorted. You could feel her power and dominance over you, leaving you helpless and vulnerable.
You swallowed the lump in your throat, “Please don’t kill me, I, I will leave, I won’t tell a soul, I swear!” you cried pathetically for the woman to spare your life, promising to keep her secret and leave the mansion immediately. But she seemed amused by your pleas and the fear in your eyes. She leaned closer, pinning you against the hard wooden wall, and her cold touch sent shivers down your spine.
Her breath brushed against your neck, and you couldn't help but react with a mixture of fear and confusion. "Why are you so cold," you managed to utter, your voice quivering.
She giggled in your ear, "I think you know, Pet," she teased, and you felt a strange sensation washing over you as her gaze locked onto yours.
She said as you drifted into a daze, "Let me tell you who I am; I think that might help you piece it together. Hi, I'm Kate Bishop!" Her words left you dumbfounded, as you knew Kate was a human from centuries ago, not the mysterious creature before you.
"No, you're not. Kate was a human from hundreds of years ago!" you protested, trying to grasp any semblance of reality.
"I was never human, Y/N," she said with certainty, shocking you with her knowledge of your name.
"How did you-" you started to ask, but she interrupted with a sly smile.
"Because I heard you talking to yourself on the trail. You said, 'You can do this, Y/N. Vampires aren't real; it's just a spooky house!' Remember that?" Her words sent a chill down your spine, realizing that she had been watching and listening to you from the start, “I have been following you the whole time you walked the trail. You were my prey then; now you are not.”
“So,” a glimmer of hope sparkled in your eyes, “Does that mean-
“I will not let you leave,” Kate snarled, “I’m sorry.” The vampire frowns slightly as if she feels bad about doing this. Why? She killed many people begging for their lives; why is she frowning for you?
“You can’t let me leave, or you won’t?” you inquired, your voice shaking.
“I won’t.” Kate’s voice became firm, “You,” she moved her head closer, your noses barely touching, and your eyes locked onto her glowing red ones, “Are beautiful.” Kate presses her lips to yours, and her red eyes hypnotize you, “I have been here all alone for so long.”
“Don’t,” you snapped out of it, “Don’t pull that card on me!”
“I’m telling you the truth. I only want somebody to keep me company. You won’t be a blood bag, I promise! You will be my equal, as all relationships are supposed to be.”
"I do not consent to this!" You sobbed as you kicked and screamed, determined to resist her spell.
"I know. I know." Kate cranked up the heat on her hypnosis, her expression revealing a hint of regret for the pain she was causing, “It will be all over soon. All I have to do…is bite your neck and drink your blood, then you will die and be mine.”
“I see you conflicted; you can still do the right thing and let me go home!” you cried.
“No.” Kate’s voice becomes cold and distant, “I compel you-”
“PLEASE, STOP!” you thrashed in her loving hold; yes, loving Kate has always been a loving woman. She loves you.
You foolishly do not think that; how dare you - you continue with your desperate flailing and crying, demanding Kate release you so you can go home to your sad, miserable life. Think about it, you pay rent to some creepy dude who walks in unannounced and says gross things to you. The world does not deserve you. You should give into her hypnosis and become just like her so you will never be lonely again.
“Y/N, baby, it’s me, Kate!” You hear her say, or at least you think you did.
“I wanna go home, please, please let me leave!” you screamed, closing your eyes to block out the hazy red glow.
“Open your eyes, Pet.” Kate’s spell has partially worked, so you unwillingly obey her.
With that, your eyes shoot open, “No,” horror laced your voice; no matter how much you tried to mentally block her out, it seemed magic bypassed all resistance, “It can’t be.”
“Oh, it can be, and it is!” Kate’s voice was monotone, “Expose your neck to me.” This was your last few moments of being human…or alive, for that matter, “Stop squirming. It will all be over soon. You will wake up angry with me, but that’s okay. You will love me, eventually.”
As Kate's fangs sank into your neck, the pain was excruciating, but it was quickly followed by a strange sensation of numbness and euphoria. As she drank your blood, you felt your strength fading and your body becoming limp in her hold. As much as you resisted, the vampire's hypnosis had taken a firm grip on your mind, and there was no escape. As she withdrew her fangs, you felt a mix of emotions. You were terrified, confused, and enraged. But an undeniable connection formed with Kate confused you even further. Your thoughts were jumbled, and it was becoming difficult to distinguish between your own will and what was influenced by her powers.
"You're mine now," Kate said softly, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. "And don't worry, my dear. This isn't the end for you. It's the beginning of a new life that you'll come to embrace with time."
You tried to argue, but your voice barely escaped your throat in a weak murmur. Kate held you close, and you felt her warm embrace contrasting with the coldness of her touch. As the darkness enveloped you, you surrendered to the unknown fate that awaited you as Kate's companion in eternity. Your last coherent thought was a mix of fear and longing, wondering if you would ever truly find happiness in this immortal existence. You would, eventually.
Feel free to send more requests my way! Especially Yelena, who I have received none for. :)

The Scrapbook of You and I | Kate Bishop x Reader
Pairing: Kate Bishop x Reader
Theme: Childhood friends to lovers.
Summary: A story of Y/N and Kate growing up together and eventually falling for each other.
Warnings: Mentions of Character Death, Fluff, some Sensual Touching, Comfort, Mutual Pining, and some Swearing
Word Count: 3.5k
A/N: I really like writing Kate, but I’ve held off on writing her a solo story because she’s not popular like Wanda and Natasha, which is a bit frustrating, I won’t lie; regardless, I hope you enjoy this story! I was really passionate about this one!

You have been best friends since you were babies. So many fond memories over so many years collected in the scrapbooks your parents and Kate’s parents created for you both. From when you were only a couple of months old when you were in your crib with a stuffed fox lying right next to you as if it were protecting you from the darkness. How about the time you and Kate first met? You had become a master at crawling, and your small baby brain wanted to explore the living room since everything was bright and colorful; you were investigating the plastic rabbit toy that had been left out of the toy box when you encountered Kate sitting down. Kate saw you approaching and thought the best course of action was to slap you the moment you approached. She walloped you…well, as hard as a baby could anyway, and you bawled your eyes out, which Kate also did in turn. Your parents loved teasing you and Kate about that day.
After that day, you and Kate were always around one another, almost like sisters, but not quite. You and she are tightly knit - like you two always said as kids: “Birds of a feather flock together.” Kate was an only child and was often lonely when her parents were out hosting events, so your parents offered to take Kate and have you two have some grand sleepover that involved eating so much sugar you would get sick. There was hardly a time when you weren’t together; you were inseparable from her - stuck together like glue, as your parents would say. They have not seen such close companionship in quite some time; no matter how long you two were together, you would never tire of her company.
When you were six years old, you attended Kate’s birthday party and, of course, stuck by Kate’s side, bouncing in the bounce house, playing all the silly birthday games, eating cake, and most of all, enjoying your best friend’s company, talking about the latest episode of Pokemon amongst other stuff all afternoon until nightfall. You thoroughly remember a few minutes before you left; Kate pulled you up, gave you the biggest bear hug she could muster, and quickly pecked your cheek before giggling like a fool. When asked what that was for, Kate shrugged, “I dunno!” You wanted to ask her more, but your mom had to leave; she had an early shift the next day, and it was getting late.
When Kate was ten years old, things took a turn for the worse for the Bishop family: the Chitauri attacked New York City. It was truly awful; many people lost their lives that day; if it weren’t for the intervention of the newly-formed Avengers, many more innocent lives would have perished. Among those who were murdered by the savage Chitauri was Kate’s father, Derek. During the chaos, however, she spotted a man with a bow and arrow killing these armor-clad aliens and was in awe. To think such a simple, unsuperpowered man could fend for himself with such…an ancient form of weaponry. After her father’s funeral, she asked her mom to buy her a bow and arrow so that she could take after the Avenger known as Hawkeye.
You were with her every step of the way. You stuck by Kate’s side at the funeral and comforted her all you could. When she pulled you to the side with the most serious look replacing her sad one.
“Y/N,” she said, with determination, “Would you fight alongside me?”
Puzzled at her weird question, you ask, “Whataya mean, Katie?”
Kate pauses to think of the right words, “I really don’t wanna sit here and let everyone get hurt again. Those things took my dad away from me, and I couldn’t do anything about it. I wanna help people like that guy with the bow; he was so cool!” Her blue eyes sparkled with adoration.
“Katie, you want to be like Hawkeye? It’s dangerous!” you grabbed her shoulders, then voiced your concerns, “I don’t want to lose you.”
“I know, Y/N. But I want to help people; I’m tired of being a weak kid. I want to kick the bad guy’s butt but don’t want to leave you behind.”
The puzzle pieces quickly fell into place; she asked you to join her in becoming a superhero - to defend the helpless, “Are you sure you want me to join, Katie?”
“Yes. You could be my sidekick!” Kate beamed.
“Okay.” Kate looks at you with raised eyebrows and a bright white smile, “I’ll do it.” the commitment was a hard pill to swallow, but you thought it would be worth it. Protecting the innocent with your bestest friend in the whole wide world.
“Birds of a feather?” Kate started
“Flock together.” You finished
That day, Kate begged her mom to enroll in archery and martial arts - you did the same with your parents, who reluctantly agreed but only because Kate would be there. Hawkeye was Kate’s biggest inspiration; if asked who her favorite Avenger was, she would instantly reply, ‘Hawkeye!’ Your favorite was Black Widow, mostly because she was cute. Still, you wanted to fight like she did, with all her fancy gadgets that fit her fighting style. Upon realizing you liked the Black Widow mainly because of looks alone, you began questioning yourself plenty through your teens. Little did you know, Kate was too.
As time progressed, your parents and Kate’s kept making a scrapbook of all the precious memories you and Kate made all ten years of living. All your birthday parties, all the times you went to the park and played on the playground, and eventually your martial arts and Kate’s archery and martial arts were kept in a timeless, patchworked book of memories. One day, you and Kate would look at all the photos and laugh and cry.
When you were thirteen years old, you obtained the green belt, while Kate received the blue belt. Kate quickly became the top of her archery class and now never misses her target; unless you were around, then she might miss the bullseye, yet she wasn’t sure why. Why did your presence cause her to falter only slightly? Every time you came to watch, she had this urge to do even better than she was already performing just to impress you, but for what reason?
“You did so damn good, Kate!” You congratulated your bestie on her display of hard work.
Kate grinned, “Thanks, Y/N!” The archer pulled you in for her signature bear hug for a few seconds longer than usual.
You had a light red blush that had crept on you like a thief in the night, “I, I am impressed with how strong you’re becoming!” you laughed, “You could beat Hawkeye with all your skills.”
“Yeah,” Kate turned away to hide her own blush, “I want to be better than he is!”
“You will be, Katie. We’ll be the best crime-fighting duo ever!”
“I hope so!” Kate smiled and laughed. You could not get enough of her laugh or her smile; it made you happy.
Kate was fifteen when she won the state championship for archery and obtained the brown belt. She swears she could kick the Black Widow’s ass in five seconds flat. You both knew that was incorrect. However, the archer could pin you down a few times only because you were her equal in terms of fighting - a friendly rivalry, if you would. Your BFF loved that about you, to have someone always challenging her; never once did she ever have an advantage over you, or you ever have one over her.
Yet, you’d let her win sometimes just to see her smile, though you could never admit that to her face.
At this point in her fifteen years of living, Kate was figuring herself out and what she wanted besides taking after her hero. The brunette found herself not attracted to boys - it’s not she thought they were gross and hormonal and weird and, well, men, but women were much prettier. She acknowledged that she liked women and was okay with being seen with one, unafraid of judgment. Conversely, you were confused about everything about yourself; your mind constantly focused on many things simultaneously. Moreso on training for a tournament and schoolwork and hardly on yourself.
A while after the tournament and after the school year ended, you and Kate mutually agreed to take a break from everything and enjoy the three months of summer.
It was worth it.
It took the entire month of May for you to realize why you felt certain things around Kate. You reminisced about how you felt every time Kate embraced you, happy and warm the like the morning sun. Or about the times you would crack the dumbest joke just to hear her infectious laugh ring in your ears like a pleasant melody. There’s no way she would return your romantic feelings, right?
She does. You didn’t know because she was scared you would reject her for being attracted to women and ruin everything. You were also scared, yet you knew deep down she did; all she needed to do was admit it, or should that time ever come, you would be the one to speak up first.
Now finally sixteen, Kate had finally earned her license, and her mom, of course, bought Kate a car of her own, but the vehicle was insured under Eleanor’s name, so it was not entirely Kate’s car, even though it would be the moment she turned eighteen. Kate brought you to a beach house for a sunny getaway in celebration in the middle of June.
“What do you wanna do when we get there? Soak up the sun, go swimming, or do you want to eat something before we do anything?”
“Katie. You know I can see right through you; I know you’re starving,” you raised a brow to see Kate bashfully looking out the window.
“Nuh-uh, I could wait…just wanna know what you wanna do first, is all.”
“Uh-huh, we’re getting you some food.”
“Are you sure?” Kate raised her brows, “You don’t gotta-”
“Katie, you’re hungry; what do you want?”
“I honestly don’t know what they stocked the fridge with this time,” Kate admits, “But I know they have the blue and red popsicles stocked back up, so I probably have that for now.”
“Okay, if that’ll make you happy.”
“It does, but you make me happier.”
“Oh?”
“I’m glad you are by my side every single day. I would not trade it for anything.”
“Me either.”
An hour passed, and Kate decided to skip out on the popsicle and instead cook up hamburgers for dinner. When you arrived, she became even hungrier than in the car. After eating and conversing about what was after high school and what superhero life was like before going to the beach.
Your parents asked for photographs of you and Kate having a blast at the beach. You captured some delightful moments of yourself and Kate frolicking in the water, making sandcastles, and a few snapshots of old seashells that have washed up. After a liberating day of fun, Kate set up two beach towels and rested briefly. However, you caught yourself staring at your best friend.
There was something you had to admit to yourself: Kate was beautiful when the sun hit her the right way. You two lay down and basked in the alpenglow. You turned on your side to meet her gaze. Kate copied you, and both stared into one another’s eyes, wordlessly admiring the other. It was worth noting how her sun-kissed skin gleamed under the descending sun’s golden rays. The life-giving star burned hot with envy; Kate’s natural beauty transcended the sun’s radiance, giving her a celestial aura.
Of course, she noticed your lack of words and lingering stare and smirked impishly, “What’s got you in a daze?” a playful observation on her part, mixed with genuine curiosity-you have not stared at her like this before.
Words refused to escape your throat as you were held captive by Kate’s deep blue eyes, “Uhhh, I, I-”
“What? C’mon now, is it me?” Kate scooted closer, now locking eyes with you, “You can tell me anything.”
“You’re fucking gorgeous!” You suddenly said, “Like how can someone be more beautiful than a summer sunset?”
Kate was not expecting those words of admiration to fly out your mouth, “I- I don’t know what to say; thank you!” Her blush was red, “I think you’re more beautiful, though.” She is always a tease, isn’t she?
“Nuh-uh!”
“Yuh-huh!” Kate giggled, “I’d even go as far as to say that you are fucking adorable!”
“Psh, you are literally glowing right now. I am unworthy of looking at you.”
“Nonsense, I want you to look at me.”
You look away, planting a hand over your eyes, “Ahhh! You’re so bright and beautiful; I can’t go blind yet; I’m so young!”
“Can’t turn it off; guess I’m stuck on maximum settings,” the brunette shrugged.
“Nothing much I can do but stare until it gets dark outside,” you teased, testing the waters to see if Kate would reciprocate with her own remark.
“I don’t mind you ogling me as long as you don’t mind me doing the same with you!” Kate scooted ever so closer.
“You think I’m beautiful?” You inquired, curious as to why Kate wanted to drink you in, “I’m not that pretty.”
Kate scoffs in disbelief, “You are the apple of my eye.”
“You really think so?” you asked genuinely, a blush forming on your cheeks.
The tension was becoming thick with you and Kate looking deeply into each other’s eyes and stealing the occasional and shameless glances at the other’s features. It was hard to hide anything now as Kate’s hands began to roam on their own accord – first making their way up your bare thigh, giving it a quick but firm squeeze which caused your breathing to become rapid with want. Kate seemed to enjoy your flustered state.
“Yeah, I do.” Her voice became a husky whisper.
You whispered back, “Kate….”
“Yeah?” Kate purred.
It was all or nothing. This interaction has proved that Kate likes you more than best friends. You have hidden these feelings so deep that all your emotions were bursting at the seams, and you can not hold them back anymore.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but..." The words stumbled out as anxiety turned into a fierce vortex within your body, unleashing a catastrophic storm of emotions, swirling wildly, "I love you."
Without skipping a beat, Kate answers, “I love you too.”
Those four words instantly soothed you, and warmth roared wild within you. Finally, after so many years of conflicting thoughts, you breathe a sigh of relief. Kate does the same. You can’t help but laugh excitedly. The beautiful brunette chuckles lowly before placing a hand on the back of your head, pulling you closer and connecting your lips with hers. At first, you did not immediately respond to the notion; however, you regained control of yourself, forcing yourself to respond. You kissed her back passionately to make up for the lack of response. Her tongue grazed your bottom lip before gently biting it.
“Kate.” you moaned.
She does not say anything back. Instead, she moves her hand up and down your thigh, eventually traveling up to your ass and delivering a firm smack before pulling away, much to your disappointment, eliciting a whine from you.
“Can’t get too carried away now,” Kate winked, “C’mon,” Kate tore her eyes off you for a moment to look at the twilight sky, “It’s late; let’s head inside and discuss this before doing anything else, okay, honey?”
You were elated: your first pet name already. This was quite exciting!
“Okay, how ‘bout we cuddle up and watch a movie afterward?”
“That sounds perfect.”
You two have been official for two years. A lot has happened in those two years, all of which have been documented in the scrapbook your parents were about to give you a few weeks after your eighteenth birthday so that it could be officially complete. You and Kate obtained your black belts, you bought your first car, and you and Kate graduated; Kate is already eighteen - she’s two months older than you, and your girlfriend got you a special surprise for your birthday.
Kate walks in through the front door with a bright smile plastering her face, “Happy Birthday, my love!”
It’s a small present, wrapped in red and white striped wrapping paper with a tag saying ‘From Kate To My One and Only.’
You carefully open it to reveal a set of house keys; you look into her eyes gleefully, asking, “Is this?”
“You know that apartment we’ve been looking for? Well,” she drawled.
“Ohmygoodness, KATE!” You bound off the couch and crushed her in a bear hug; you cried happily, “You’re the best!”
“I know, I know,” Kate chuckled, “We’re set to move in next week, which gives us plenty of time to pack our things!”
“I love you so fucking much!”
“Love you too, sweetheart!”
Weeks passed, and finally, the scrapbook that took eighteen years to make was complete. It had everything from when you and Kate were itty bitty babies to the full-grown adults you are now. You and Kate looked through it a few hours after you received it just before bed, and there were so many things to reminisce about.
“Why are we both crying in this picture? Like, why is it here?” Kate asked, scratching her head.
“I remember my mom telling me that I was looking at a toy, and I found you instead. And when I came up to you, you slapped me, and I cried, then you cried with me.”
“That’s strangely adorable.”
You flip over to another page that has both your white belts sewn into the cover, “They kept all our belts!” Yep, your dad collected all your belts from white to black, though the black belts weren’t sewn to a cover but rather tied together around the book, which signified your bond with your girlfriend throughout your life: tightly bound together, never to be broken. On top of the white belt page was a small slip of paper that said in quotations, “Birds of a feather flock together!”
“Damn,” you rubbed Kate’s thigh, “They really got everything didn’t they?”
Kate laughs at the attention to detail, “Apparently!”
Kate turns the page and immediately spots her first medal for archery, and you see one of your kindergarten drawings of a sunflower with googly eyes. Another part included a drawing Kate made of you and her fighting some sort of monster. Photos littered each page, ranging from hanging out at the park eating lunch, playing in the lake near your house, and pictures of Kate choking you out with her bear hugs. She has always been a hugger.
Onto your teenage years, you noticed an odd trend: Kate being so close to your face and always wrapping an arm around you. Kate sees this too.
“We’re always hugging or touching in these photos.” You point out.
“Yeah, ‘cause I won’t lie….” Kate giggles, “You won’t believe this, but I have always had a crush on you since I was eleven!”
The admission made you laugh profusely, not at Kate but at yourself, because you felt the same way the whole time, “Have we seriously been crushing on each other for almost a decade?”
Kate is overjoyed to hear you have been mirroring her feelings the whole time, “This whole time!”
“Right?”
“I mean…we were baby buddies, now we are girlfriends! We’ve like kissed and stuff…absolutely wild.”
“I’m glad that life has brought us together, Y/N. You’re the only one I’ll ever need.” Kate leans in and passionately kisses you.
“Me too,” you break the kiss, “Now, we’re gonna be superheroes, eventually.”
“Eventually?” Kate raises a brow.
“Well, we are well trained, but starting to fight criminals is quite a big step. And we have no real experience in fighting real people who want to kill us right off the bat. We should start small, you know?”
Kate nods in agreement, “You’re right. Small steps are the best thing for us right now. Let’s take our time, love.”
You seal the promise with a kiss, “I’d love that.”
Kate yawns while stretching her limbs and looks at the time, which reads,
11:56 pm,’ “Ooh, we should pick this up again sometime soon; it’s getting quite late. I have a meeting tomorrow with my Mom.” Your girlfriend rolled her eyes at the thought.
You put the scrapbook underneath your bed and then kiss your girlfriend, “Another time, then. Goodnight, my love.”
“Birds of a feather?” Kate starts once again.
“Flock together.” You finish your adage before kissing her again and turning off the bedside lamp. You cuddle up to Kate and fall asleep with your head on her chest, just above her heartbeat.

Takes place after Request #3
Tumblr media
It has been a year. Your life with your loves has been amazing and nothing but. The cottage of your dreams has finally been built. Life was perfect now, with no one to ever tear you away from Wanda and Natasha.
Here is a brief recap of the last year.
After Agatha’s death, Wanda and Natasha quickly adjusted to modern life thanks to the members of the Ghost Hunting Department showing them the ropes. Otto showed them the marvels of technology, Peter further explained what each social media app does, and Thena and Gilgamesh counseled the three of you and the trauma inflicted on you.
The cottage was built in nine months, and in that time, the land was, and still is, being developed. Grass still has to be cut, stray trees need removal, weeds still sprout up and must be removed (poisoning can be harmful), and very little terraforming here and there, but no home was perfect. What matters is the healthy grass, and the fallen leaves would provide some food for your animals for a time.
During the time after the house was built and a bit after some decorating, Natasha became a professional freelance photographer and started her own local business for her newfound passion. It did take a lot of time and assistance to start it up, but with your help and Wanda, who tried her best, Natasha officially started her business. At first, she took pictures of the scenery on top of multiple hills, forests, woods, and the main lake, publishing them on a social media account Wanda helped create. Then, she did senior photos, which progressed to family photos, maternity shoots, and much more.
Wanda became a foodie blogger, sharing her old recipes from hundreds of years back but with a modern twist. She gained a small following but is constantly gaining new followers every day. Your fiance usually sits around and helps with gardening while paying attention to the small farm in your backyard. So far, it consists of two goats, like 400 years back, a llama, and a horse.
You retired from Avengers Supernatural to be a housewife…and, of course, to not be put in any danger whatsoever. The whole excursion with the old house, retrieving your long-lost soulmates from a soul prison that Agatha created, and seeing Agatha die took quite the toll on your mind, and so permanent time away from the supernatural world would do wonders on your psyche. It did, actually. It took some time to overcome some of the trauma of Agatha’s affliction of you 400 years ago with you burning and 10 months ago when the hunt occurred. Yet, you remain strong.
All that’s left is to have your wedding, which everyone has helped you plan, and it’s two hours away. Two hours until you and Wanda and Nat are wed together. Everything is going according to plan, except your anxiety is shooting through the roof like a firework. Understandably, it’s a pretty big day for you and your loves. You three were never officially married back then - it was unheard of to have a woman loving a woman, let alone two.
The wedding wasn’t huge. You three agreed to have the ceremony near a waterfall surrounded by oak trees, lush ferns, and bushes aplenty that made an arch like a crescent moon whose edges pointed towards the roaring waters. This place was very expensive, but the whole department of Avengers Supernatural funded it for you, so there was no worry.
Now, here we are inside a dressing room a few miles away.
“Is there, like, a fan we could turn on? The bride is sweating like crazy over here!” Kate exclaims; the slowly rising heat of the mobile room is taxing on everyone.
“Yea, but it’s not super effective though…you want us to crack open a window?” the makeup artist asks, only a tad bit annoyed.
Kate opens the door to get a feel for the weather outside. There’s a cold wind blowing, and the clouds are overcast, covering the sun completely in a blanket of a darkened gray, “Yeah, just a little bit - it’s quite cold outside, and I don’t want Y/N to freeze before we arrive at the wedding.”
Kate goes ahead and cracks it open so the makeup artist can continue without interruption. Yelena is chilling on the plush couch, looking at a magazine, eating a blueberry tootsie roll pop as she mindlessly flips through the pages when she pipes up, “You nervous, Y/N?”
You breathe out shakily with restraint, “Y-yeah, I know we’ve been together for so long, and you’d think I’d be calm and composed, but I’m rattled, to be honest.”
Kate sits in a chair adjacent to the couch, crossing her legs while looking at her phone, “Perfectly normal! You are taking the next big step in your life and it's natural to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. But remember, we're all here for you. Wanda and Natasha love you more than anything, and we're all ready to celebrate this beautiful day together."
Yelena smirks mischievously, her blueberry-stained lips curling up. "Don't worry, Y/N. If you faint from nerves, I'll catch you. And if that doesn't work, I'll make sure to capture it on camera for a good laugh later."
You chuckle, grateful for the lightheartedness Yelena brings. "Thanks, Yelena. I really appreciate you being a good friend despite everything.”
Yelena gives you a warm smile and replies, "Of course, Y/N. Friends stick together, no matter what. It's not every day that three incredible people like you, Wanda, and Natasha come together and get married; I mean, a throuple becoming an official marriage is rare.”
As you sit there surrounded by the excitement and the anticipation of the upcoming ceremony, you can't help but reflect on how far you've come. From the tumultuous events of the past year to finding solace and happiness in each other's arms, it has been an incredible journey.
Now a successful photographer, Natasha has found her passion and created a thriving business capturing the beauty of the world around her. Conversely, Wanda has become a foodie blogger, sharing her culinary expertise and gaining a growing following. And you, having retired from the supernatural world, have embraced the role of a housewife and found peace in building a loving home with your soulmates.
Today, surrounded by nature's breathtaking beauty, you are about to solidify your love and commitment to each other. The wedding ceremony near the waterfall, with its majestic oak trees and lush surroundings, symbolizes the strength and unity of your love. With the support of the Avengers Supernatural department, who generously funded this special day, you can focus on the joy and significance of the moment. The love and acceptance from your friends and chosen family have made all the difference in making this day possible.
As you gather your thoughts, Kate reassures you again, "Remember, Y/N, this day is about celebrating your love. It's okay to feel nervous but don't let it overshadow the happiness and excitement. Your love story is unique, beautiful, and quite unusual, but everyone is there for you!”
Yelena chimes in, playfully adding, "And don't worry about fainting; we won't let that happen…maybe.”
Feeling a wave of gratitude and love for your friends, you smile and say, "Thank you, all of you. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Today, we'll have fun, drink, and dance our asses off!”
As the time draws nearer for the ceremony to begin, you take a deep breath, finding comfort in the support and love surrounding you. Despite the nerves, you know that today is the start of a new chapter in your life—one filled with boundless love, shared dreams, and a brighter future. And with Wanda, Natasha, and your dear friends by your side, you are ready to embrace it all. As the time for the ceremony approaches, you can feel the anticipation building within you. The dressing room is filled with laughter, excitement, and a sense of unity that warms your heart. The makeup artist puts the finishing touches on your look, and you catch a glimpse of yourself in the mirror. Your eyes sparkle with happiness, and you can't help but smile.
Outside, the cold wind continues to blow, but you know that the warmth of love will keep you cozy throughout the day. Kate checks the time and stands up, her voice filled with enthusiasm, "It's time, everyone! Let's make our way to the arches!"
You stand up, your legs feeling a bit shaky, but your love for them keeps you standing; Yelena takes your arm, giving you a reassuring squeeze. "You've got this, Y/N. Just remember, you're not alone in this journey. We're all here for you."
With each step you take towards the ceremony site, the nervousness slowly fades away, replaced by a sense of peace and joy. The sounds of nature greet you as you approach the waterfall, its roaring waters providing a soothing melody. The oak trees stand tall and strong, symbolizing the strength of your love, while the ferns and bushes create an enchanting backdrop. As you approach,  you see Wanda and Natasha standing side by side, their eyes filled with love and anticipation. Their presence brings a wave of comfort and reassurance. This is where you belong—by their side, embracing a future filled with happiness and endless possibilities. The ceremony begins, and the words spoken by the officiant resonate deeply within your heart. The vows you exchange are filled with love, promises, and a shared vision of a beautiful life together. Surrounded by your loved ones and the members of the Avengers Supernatural Department, the moment feels surreal yet incredibly real.
With each word spoken, your love for Wanda and Natasha grows stronger. You feel their love pouring into your soul, intertwining with yours, and creating an unbreakable bond.
As the officiant pronounces you married, cheers erupt from the gathered friends and family. The sound of applause and joyful laughter fills the air, creating a symphony of celebration. Wanda, Natasha, and you passionately kiss, sealing your love and commitment for eternity.
The reception is filled with laughter, dancing, and heartfelt speeches. The night is a testament to the love and happiness that surrounds you. Surrounded by your chosen family, you dance under the starry sky, cherishing every moment.
As the night ends and you retreat to your cottage, you feel a sense of contentment wash over you. Life may still have its challenges, but with Wanda and Natasha by your side, you know that you can overcome anything. The love that fills your home constantly reminds you of the beautiful life you have built together.
As you lie in bed, with Wanda and Natasha's arms wrapped around you, you close your eyes and let out a content sigh. This is your happily ever after—the culmination of a love story that defied everything natural in terms of being alive; you quite literally brought two people’s souls back into their bodies and still had the same feelings for them as you did hundreds of years ago. With a smile on your face, you drift off to sleep, knowing that tomorrow will be the beginning of a new chapter filled with endless adventures, unwavering love, and the promise of a future brighter than you could have ever imagined.

QNA fav person/people to write about
I mostly stick to one fandom, which is Marvel, but oddly enough, I love writing about Kate and Yelena more than anything. My first successful story on AO3 was a really short Kate/Yelena story called Bendy Ruler (or It All Started With Stealing Blankets). Sadly, they aren’t terribly popular characters both as a ship or as an x reader story; I’d love to write more fics of them.

Request Rules (Updated)
Hello, everyone!
Since I've been gaining many new followers, I thought I might revamp my request rules a bit!
So: the current characters I do are Wanda and Natasha. Plus Yelena, Kate, and Carol.
Smut is now allowed in requests, go crazy! Although, there is some stuff I won't do like Littles, bloodplay, or anything too bonkers.
Feel free to use AU's, love writing AU stuff!
I have watched MoM, so you can request one-shots around that too!

Just found you! You have so many fics! In which ones does reader get hurt physically, I need angst?!
Not many fics I've made have reader being physically hurt...Chasing More Than Ghosts has a little bit, but not enough for what you're looking for. I don't really do angst, but if you want a good amount of it, then check out You're A Fool

Okay so you write wandanat x reader, but do you read it on Ao3? If you do can you five some fic recommendations please? Like, a list of ten you like
Private Hire | Mob Boss!WandaNat x Reader by @maximotts, it's so amazingly written, her wordplay inspired me to spice up my sentences.
Trauma Makes The Heart Grow Softer | Yelena x Kate by mabbbbs, domestic slice of life.
Should have knocked | WandaNat x Reader by LoveIsAnImaginaryDagger
Yours, Mine, Ours | Alpha!Wandanat x Omega! Readerby HiIAmSociallyAwkwardButHereIAm, sadly hasn't been updated in about a year.
The Rushmans by @LesbiHonestGuys, well-written story but incredibly angsty which is not something I'm privy to, but it's really good if you like a more Avengers-laced story.
